Negative experience: Beware. I stay a lot of Marriott Hotels and this was the worst. Morning older man front desk attendant could not stop talking to middle aged man Kitchen attendant. Neither of them were doing a good job, people waiting at front desk and families waiting for food while the two of these men could not stop gabbing. Room was dirty, dirty shower curtain, dirty pillows, broken TV, blankets dirty. Very low quality and not up to Marriott's standards.

Service started off great until he told us he doesn’t like his employees because they are 1. not american 2. don’t speak english and 3. don’t do what he says. You do not speak of your staff that way. Fantastic experience: First off the staff is absolutely amazing at this location. They are always there when you need something and you are greeted with a smile, which is rare these days. It’s nice having a hot tub on the property which also rare these days. Parking is sufficient and well lit. The rooms are clean and well kept, I know they are looking at even improving this even more, so that’s a huge plus for everyone. The breakfast is better than some I have been at and the breakfast staff is incredible. Whenever I stay in New Cumberland this is my absolute hotel of choice because of the way I am treated there. I’ve stayed in a couple others in that area and this is by far the best so far. Can’t wait to see how what the management team will improve next, they are very active in making sure the property is the best and insuring you have the best stay possible.

Positive experience: Not what I was expecting. I stay at the Marriott hotels quite often. I usually receive what I expect from the Marriott hotels, a great deal, comfortable and clean rooms, good service, simple breakfast, etc. This time, the check-in process was smooth, the rooms were ready and comfortable, and there was ample parking. The first thing we did after a long day out, was turn the TV on. It was broken. The staff asked me to go down to the reception desk and get a new remote. I did. Didn’t work. Next, we went to sleep and the fire alarm went off at 5:50 am, which can happen in any place. However, according to the hotel staff, something in the boiler room made it go off AGAIN. Sounds like it’s not the first time this has happened. Families with little sleepy kids standing outside of the hotel at 6 AM. The laundry room was out of service. Last but not least, we went to the pool. It was small and had a hot tub, but it was okay. However, the towels are not up to Marriott standards. Not even the towels I used for cleaning at my house look like these. Terrible look, ripped, small, and dilapidated. Overall, not a great experience and a bit disappointing.

Fantastic experience: We were in Harrisburg due to a family member in the ICU at UPMC and reserved a room very last minute. Janel and Arletta took incredible care of us despite a lot of requests and demands from us and others. The housekeeping staff and morning breakfast attendants were equally as kind and helpful. Positive experience: Stayed the weekend with my kiddies for a Hershey Park outing. We arrived Friday around 5PM and it took no time to get checked in. There were maybe 2 people in front of us. The lobby area was very comfy, clean, and had nice aesthetics. Hotel staff was pleasant, keeping everyone abreasted about the water situation. After the water returned, my family and I were to start our day. HERSHEY PARK HERE WE COME!!! Sunday, breakfast was ok, hotel contentinal breakfast at its best. So we were content. We decided to stay in and go no where, just a hotel day, being that we were returning home Monday. My kiddies enjoyed themselves in the pool and gym. We sat outside and played cards, walked around the perimeter of the hotel looking at the trees and landscaping. For 3 nights I paid $691.

Fantastic experience: Can't thank the folks at this hotel enough for a wonderful stay. I called to make a reservation and spoke to a very helpful lady named Janelle. Then when I arrived to check in, it was also Janelle! So nice these days to speak to a real person at the location. We had a small issue with noise above us around midnight but Allen quickly rectified the problem and there were no more issues. The hot tub and pool were a pleasant surprise, not big but clean and quiet. Negative experience: Place comes with huge spiders. You need to pay to park in the sticks. Worse than the lowest Super 8 Actually I believe Super 8 would be a step up for a third of the price. Positive experience: The cleanest pool towels I have ever seen. Not the newest interiors (bathtub no walk-in) but they keep it clean and the have the nicest staff. The LOCATION is what I like, not too far off I-81 and at the edge of a mall with a good selection of restaurants that you could walk to. Negative experience: Only gave 2 stars because the breakfast was good. Other than that, it was a 1. Stayed 2 nights at 127 a night. Overpaid by a hundred. The beds were like sleeping on stone. They stuck me in a room next to the boiler that made noise all the time every other minute or two. It was so loud you could hear it halfway down the hall. The pool was ice cool, small and dingy looking. It's way disappointing when it is the most expensive hotel in the general area. Will never stay here again. Surprise surprise,no manager until 3pm. I informed him he was rude to my husband because I was on speaker phone,and that I knew good and well we could've slept an hour more. Yes I fully intend to contact corporate! This makes the 3rd hotel in this chain that has had an incompetent staff, dirty rooms and floors, and we've had to contact corporate. She remembered our names and helped us when there was minor spillage. The manager in the morning was also a gem and even helped us out with some adult sized towels. The hotel was full of ants walking all over the sheets, the furniture and everything else. I went to the front desk and I was offered the room to be sprayed. Negative experience: Our room was disgusting. We had a funeral and didn’t get in until later in the night. There was mold all over the shower, acrylic finger nails all over the room, crumbs in our bed and black hair all over the bathroom. Also our room was right next to the highway. Positive experience: We love Fairfields. I normally give 5 stars for them but this hotel is on the older side and has some signs of it. Rooms were clean but bathrooms could have been better. Also the lighting in the rooms could have been better. Friendly staff and otherwise good experience.

Negative experience: I couldn't sleep for 2 nights that I stayed there due to the tournaments. My ac was so loud evetytime it would start that my kids and I would wake up. I raised the concern with the staff and even though they were too nice about it they couldn't fix it. I stayed there to get some rest but I didn't get any...wouldn't recommend

Fantastic experience: Almost a 4-star review. Our first night there, our air conditioner didn't work and hotel staff were unable to re accommodate us. However, the next night we changed rooms and they made it right... went above and beyond. Clean and safe facilities, nice rooms and plenty of space for my kids pack and plays. Positive experience: Very friendly staff but I'm not sure why they are more expensive when they don't have the amenities. 1 tiny bar of soap in the bathroom, rooms are small and breakfast is a brown bag with a banana muffin, a candy bar, an orange & a tiny bottled water. WTH? My wife and I are seriously considering moving across the street to the Holiday Express. ps. They claim to have a breakfast bar. Hahahaha! The maid would've even give us an extra towel. Negative experience: Usually anything by Marriott is a safe bet. I was taking my oldest son (age 9) for a special weekend. We went to the jumping park nearby. When I checked in to this Fairfield, they told me the pool was closed, but we could use the pool at a nearby different Marriott, which I intended to do. The next morning, when I asked the front desk to verify the prices for me, we were told that was incorrect and we couldn't use the pool nearby. Also, it wasn't a very clean room.
