Negative experience: The travel agent working at TripleA is really poor at handling my work. I gave her my passport information, which is an important document, by phone & e-mail repeat three times for correct. But she could not process it properly. It is frustrating to have to go through the the verification process several times. She was ruined my mood. So I never want to use Triple A travel agent again.

Negative experience: Update: seriously, AAA in its reply asked which location I'd visited...in a **review of the actual location I visited** - total incompetence. It's really sad that AAA policies have gone to crap and don't support the wonderful people they hire. Sam at AAA autocare is the only reason they get more than 1 star- he was great, honest and helpful. I called last week to find out if my battery was still under warranty. The guy I talked to talked circles and refused to answer. AAAs replacement battery for my car lasted less than 3 yrs, and I'm out of luck. I know that from jumping my car and driving all the way to the shop. The charge **$370** for a new battery, bragging about the great warranty. But that warranty won't help when the second AAA turns out also to be defective. They don't even prorate the battery anymore! Terrible job AAA, there's a reason I don't bring my car here anymore.

Negative experience: I had a slow leak in one of my tires and had to add air to it about every 2 days. I went to this location and was told that there was ONE nail in the tire that could be removed and the hole patched. After the patch work was done, the techician claimed a second nail was found that could not be removed. It was too close to the patched area just done. So, then how was the 2nd nail initially missed, but more importantly why was i charged $29 if the issue could not be fixed. In fact, the technician made the problem substantially worse.! The tire does not hold air....at all!! This was a COMPLETE waste of my time and my money. Then they asked if I wanted to purchase a tire.....no!!! You want me to give you more money?? Based on the condition of the tire (allegedly) the technician should have been able to determine that it could not be repaired. I no longer trust that I am going to receive quality service, so I will not go back!

Fantastic experience: Went in to get a automotive bill of sale notarized. Customer service was great, and the notarization was free due to it being for an auto sale / my membership.

Negative experience: AAA contacted a towing company that the employees acknowledged were behaving in a sexist fashion while handling my tow. It took 3 hours to get a tow in total - primarily because the first tow truck guy left me on the side of the road. I have no idea what is actual issue was. He had a bad attitdue on the phone and again with the AAA representative. AAA had three different opportunitiesto intervene and prevent this from happening. In each case, their poor performance enabled this action. When the first driver arrived, I asked him what I needed to do to complete the tow. He responded that he needed to take a picture, he took a picture of my motorcycle, got in his truck, slammed the door, and drove off without another word. It was quite literally as simple as that. The customer service support was unhelpful. They refunded my transaction and informed me they escalated the ticket. I was never contacted again. Trying to address the issue with corporate wasn't helpful either. They answered the phone, after a 45 minute wait, at closing time and hung up mid conversation. Seriously, none of this should have happened and I remained polite through the whole despite all of the irritation. I can't recommend this company, it would have actually been better for me to just use my insurance tow.

Negative experience: People there pleasant. Went to use their service to save on rental car costs for upcoming vacation. Their price including AAA member "discount" was more expensive than on line price from the firm AAA partners with on their membership card. Why pay for $$$$ forAAA if you can do better on their partners website!

Fantastic experience: Found a screw in my tire at 5pm, 3 places couldn’t help me until next day, I explained how far away I lived, and they told me come right over, less than an hour before they closed. They got me in, patched, and on my way, all before closing, and for lower cost than other places. Thank you Sam, Franklin, and Ibrahim!

Fantastic experience: I got a flat tire driving into work today and I was able to have my car picked up at my office, brought to AAA, and they put a patch on the tire all within six hours definitely have to stay on top of them with communication, but they did a great job and quickly

Negative experience: Good on the intake, bad on the pickup. There are just some customer service basics that a fundamentally missing, just been a while since I have been treated like that. Ill take my little pennies elsewhere, would probably be fine for others.
Fantastic experience: I usually go to my local Toyota dealership for regular 5,000 mile maintenance on my 2017 Toyota RAV4. During these inspections when something out of the ordinary was pointed out (code for it's going to cost a lot to repair), I would have the work done at the AAA Columbia Car Care Center b/c I know it would cost a lot less and it would be done right. However, during my most recent 5,000 mile maintenance (Jan 2024), I decided to use the AAA Columbia Car Care Center b/c the appointment at my local dealership was too far out. I got the appointment online, confirmed by text and I was set to go. After this most recent experience, I have decided to forego any further maintenance at my local Toyota dealership b/c the service here is outstanding and has always been that way when I used them. In summary, great communication via app and in person, great service and documentation, great use of LYFT service to get me home and back to the Service Center, better prices and a brand (AAA) that I have trusted for many years. Thank you AAA Columbia Car Care Center for being such a trusted service for so many years - you are exemplary.

Negative experience: I had my medication in the car and was told I was put into a priority case and that someone would arrive in 15-20 mins. an hour and a half later someone calls and says they're on their way. while my tracker says they got there already for that whole time. terrible service and communication. I could've died.

Positive experience: This is our go-to place for when we need basic maintenance on our cars, especially tires. It has a nice waiting area with a closed-off room for little kids to play with toys. The only negative is that it can be a long wait even with an appointment; my most recent trip, I don't think they got started on my car till an hour after my appointment time. So I was just waiting a lot longer than I'd anticipated.

Negative experience: The experience was dreadful. Avoid if you care about your vehicle at all. I took my car in for an oil change and was told it needed an alignment although it drove fine at the time. I said ok and after picking up the vehicle the steering had to be turned about 30 degrees to the left to go straight and there was terrible wheel shake above 50 mph. I took it back to have these items fixed and was told the alignment was fine and the tires were bad. The tires had less than 10,000 miles on them and had no issues previously. When I complained I was provided a quote for new tires.

Negative experience: My experience with them has been awful. While the staff is nice they don't seem very knowledgeable when it comes to car Maintenance. Was having issues with my car starting while I was on vacation visiting family in Columbia so took it to AAA since in case it was the battery that I had bought through AAA and was still under warranty. After telling me at first it was just loose terminals on my battery it turned out it was the starter. After quoting me a price of about $600 and me saying to go ahead and do it, I received a phone call less than an hour later and the price had jumped over $1000! I paid it and got the car fixed and back home to Florida where the starter promptly dies a week and a half later. Now I have jumped through hoops to try to get AAA to honor my warranty and that has been a nightmare. Don't take your car to them as your mechanic. Go elsewhere and get better work for probably better prices done.

Fantastic experience: Great service. I originally went to Mr. Tire in Lochearn, Baltimore County. They told me my battery could not be changed because it was "put in wrong." I knew this was not true and did not want to risk damage to my vehicle due to their incompetence. I looked for another place with a good reputation. AAA Car Care in Columbia took 15 min to change my battery and they were $50 cheaper than Mr. Tire. And free bottled water, coffee and snacks. Pleasant waiting room with a view of the mechanics working on your car.

Fantastic experience: This AAA location was downright awesome! I almost didn’t even realize it was there. After I accidentally hit a curb this past Saturday, and blowing out my passenger side tire, I was able to purchase a new tire there for a reasonable price. Unfortunately, while in the process of having my new tire placed on, the person in charge of my car repair, Soto informed me of other damage to the strut (car part) that his team noticed upon inspection. He stated that AAA could order the part, check the alignment and do a complete final inspection there with no problem but he also gave me the option to call my dealer and look into any factory warranties that could cover the part cost. AAA provided me a really helpful report with pictures of the damage to take to my dealership as well. However, when I went to the dealer, they informed me that my warrantee wouldn’t cover the Strut replacement. Additionally, the dealer suggested/hypothesized that additional damage may have been done (without even seeing the damage on my car) and that I would not only need the first car part but another part connected to the Strut. Then the dealer told me that they were booked out and would not be able to work on my car in until approx. 3 weeks later. It was a blower! I decided to call Soto back and have him and his team do the repairs instead of the dealer. I also informed him of the additional part the dealer suggested may need to be replaced however, Soto assured me that if anything else needs to be purchased or replaced he would let me know after the inspection but for now he wanted to just do one thing at a time so not to run up the bill any higher than it absolutely needed to be. He and his team was so helpful in ordering me the new part and moving quickly to replace it. When I say quickly, I MEAN IT! I spoke to Soto around 12pm. He ordered the part maybe 10 minutes later. The part came in same day. I dropped my car off to AAA before 1pm and I was expecting the repair to take maybe 1-2 days. No! Not if Soto had anything to do with it. He and another mechanic, Alex, worked on my car and called me back around 5pm later that day. My car was finished! I asked about the additional part and if they saw anything else wrong with the car. Alex assured me they did a thorough inspection and nothing else needed to be done and my car was ready to go. I picked up my car minutes before they closed at 6pm. The price was a little high but I mean, what car repair/part replacement isn’t. I’m still positive it is was WAY LESS than what my dealer would have charged me especially with their suggestion of needing an extra part replaced. Overall, the service was amazing!!!! Although I’m sure not every experience may go as quickly, I had a GREAT first impression and will be back if I need anything! All the employees, even the front desk people were super polite and friendly. I also loved that they/Soto did not try to pressure me or upsell me. Quick, Helpful, Knowledgeable, Quality service! Oh and if you are a member of AAA (I am), you get a 10% discount. Definitely worth trying if you need auto repair!

Fantastic experience: We had an engine failure 2 hours away from home and AAA towed the car to this facility. We had to keep the car there for a week until we determined our next course of action. I had to make several calls with different requests and each and every time I called, Damien was professional, informed and responsive. They really helped us out during a stressful incident. If I lived in the Columbia area I would use their services again.

Fantastic experience: Can’t thank AAA Columbia enough for taking care of our car after a minor, but unfortunate, accident the week before Christmas. Damian was very diligent working with us to get two new tires and kept us up to date on the timing of our replacement strut, which was delayed because of the winter storm. He went above and beyond reaching out to and stopping at local Mazda dealers on his way home from work to see if the parts were in stock. Very appreciative to have this level of customer service and attention to detail from our local AAA, as well as the considerate tow truck driver from Big Byrd Towing who came to my rescue the night of the accident. It’s never a good time to have an accident, but the week before Christmas is even more stressful, especially budget wise. Many thanks to the AAA team for getting us through a difficult time and back on the road for the New Year!

Negative experience: I've used this place a few times for a very standard oil change on a relatively new car - that's about as normal as you could expect. I paid them money, assumed they put new oil in the car, walked away happy. I've also tried calling ahead of time to discuss some concerns about a different car and was basically told that I should drop my car off, write everything down on a slip of paper and someone would call me back. What's the point of calling to make an appointment then? Is this place not capable of looking up the type and amount of oil in a Mustang and give me a price quote for oil change, tire rotation and a multi-point inspection? Why the run around? Also waited on hold for 10 minutes to have that conversation. This place might be too busy for it's own good.

Fantastic experience: I came here to get a copy of my car title. I've been a AAA member for 23 years and I've never regretted having their services and peace of mind. Here's a tip, when you pack to move, don't pack your important papers in a Reeeeeely Safe but hard to remember or discover spot. I already had an appointment at the MVA Express, but for a few dollars more I could spend only 8 min with the amazing Renee. I canceled my MVA appointment and the task was done in a FLASH! Great location right next to Grotto's on Snowden! W00t!

Negative experience: Let's see.. they charge for notary public, they even charge for currency exchange even though they call themselves the travel club that we pay to be a member of! Their auto service doesn't seem like anything better than a local garage. No wonder I hardly saw any customers in there. Why should I go here, or keep my membership for that matter?

Negative experience: Total joke..... do not use. They talked me into using the shop when I called for a tow and then the car sits from Friday until Monday before they look at it. Their initial call was.... "We will diagnose it today and the latest, if it is the alternator, will be Monday for the repair." If you can't get to it, call and let me know. What if you were on a trip. Would you sit around days waiting for a repair? Two years ago, had an incident. Called for assistance and weren't even asked about what level coverage we had. Find out later that there was much more that they would have covered. I had to research that on my one and claim all I could. This is not a "membership has privileges" organization. Positive experience: The facility is nice and most interactions with the service have been nice however things to know about the service... First, you only get 4 roadside services with the membership at 124 dollars annually so 31 dollars a service. Second they only do towing, jump-starting, lock-outs and provide a gallon of gas if you run out.

Negative experience: First let me say that this rating and review is primarily on the car care department at this location. The ladies in the trip planning area were outstanding, thank you for everything. AAA is part of Americana, woven into the fabric of our society. Everyone knows them and uses them. That's what makes this visit so vile and upsetting. I had an emergency flat tire incident, I used the app and the gentleman came on 10 minutes, put on the donut in 5 minutes and was done. Great job. offered a generous top at first he declined but I insisted because he did a great job and deserved it. I then drove to the AAA car care center, we don't have these near me so.it was a new experience and really a great idea. All of AAA under one roof. I spoke with the care care tep [DIMAS J.] at first he was abit rude but that was only the beginning. I told him the problem and my situation, he said it would be 2 hours without a appointment. That was fine. The technician looked at the tire and said it could not be fixed, had to be replaced it was sidewall damage. Never actually saw the tire but I took his word for it. Dimas went to work on his computer putting together a quote. He knew I was a Plus member. His quote for a new tire installed was $512.00 dollars! I asked him to break down the charges, he added ALL the bells and whistles [ i guess they work on commission or get SPIFS] I told him that to much. All i needed was a new tire installed. His new quote was $197.00, which was at least 60.00 more than everyone else. I have a basic domestic car. He had me over a barrel and he knew it, so I told him to do the work. Being 300 miles from home, what choice did I have. While I was waiting for the work to be done, I hear Dimas and he colleagues talking on the phone to customers giving quotes, basically the same speech I got. When one customer accepted his FULL quote he became giddy and was telling his supervisor and co-worker, again he must get extra $$ ?. I found this disturbing. The 3 of them openly were complaining about technician's being lazy, and the supervisor said he needed to talk to "Mike" because he was a problem. Maybe Mike is a problem, I dont care, as a customer I don't need to hear all the dirty laundry. I did speak to the supervisor and he gave me the "spin" about his fair prices and couldn't speak to the competitors being cheaper. He also told me the "no frills" brand tire I got was the only one Dimas could get at the moment, others would have to be ordered. So I overpaid for a no frills tire , not even top of the line. Bottomline, I drove out of my way on a donut to a AAA car care center because I trust AAA, I always think of thrm with fairness and integrity. As a member I always expect good service at a fair price. The prices I saw at this location and the service I experienced really hurts the AAA reputation. I will probably continue to stay with them but I hope this is the exception and not the rule. Hopefully someone will reach out to me. I'll keep you posted here and on my media outlets.

Fantastic experience: I went to AAA Columbia Car Care Insurance Travel Center to get My International Drivers Permit. The Building has a Newness about it. The Customer Service was Excellent. I was promptly greeted when I arrived. I was swiftly taken care of. I had to do Passport Photo to put on the IDP and the painting behind the Passport picture made the ambience look amazing. The Whole Process took about 15 minutes and was about $35.

Negative experience: I wanted my car to get fixed so I could go through inspection. I took my car to the AAA in Columbia, MD because my engine light was on. They told me there were some other things that additionally needed to be fixed and I agreed to have that work done. Well, they called and told me my car was ready, so I went to pick up my car, paid for it, and go to start it and what do I see the engine light is STILL on. I go back into the store and let them know that it is still on and they tell me to drive it around for a few days and if it continues to stay on to bring it back. Now I want to know if I brought it in because the engine light was on, why would I drive it for a few days to see if it stays on after I paid for that problem to be fixed?

Negative experience: Terrible place I had my car towed in 3 days ago everytime I called they told me my car is up next. I just decided to go somewhere else. I don't think they have much interest in serving customers with my skin color. Go somewhere else if you want to be considered as a valued customer

Positive experience: I went in to check the price of tickets for somewhere I'm traveling to and I was told it was more expensive then just buying tickets on the place's website. The AAA price sheet they go off for pricing at the business was wrong, making the discount price incorrect. That's definitely not how this works.

Negative experience: I brought 2 cars to this AAA location to get 4 tires replaces on each. I had an appointment at noon for both cars, two days apart. When I made the appointments I was told that it should take about an hour and a half to change the 4 tires. That's a little longer than I expected, but whatever, it's reasonable. First, I brought in my Subaru Forester. It took about an hour and 45 minutes and the whole experience was pretty good. I was happy with AAA as I drove my Subaru home. Two days later, I brought in my Toyota Corolla. After 2 hours and 45 minutes, I stopped by to see how it was going. I was told that 3 of the 4 tires were installed and that it shouldn't take that much longer. I decided to wait inside and watch through the window as my car sat untouched for another hour. At the 4.5 hour mark the guy at the desk told me that the alignment would need to be fixed and asked me if I wanted them to do it. I knew my alignment wasn't quite right when I went there, but it was an hour and a half until they closed and based on the time to replace the tires I really didn't know if they were capable of finishing it before then. Plus at this point, I would rather pay someone else double to fix my alignment than AAA. When I was asked if I wanted to become a AAA member, I almost laughed. I ended up leaving 4 hours and 55 minutes after I dropped off my car. It took almost 5 hours to do what I would expect a reputable mechanic to do in 45 minutes to an hour. I was not happy with AAA as I drove my Toyota home. I can't imagine ever using AAA again.

Negative experience: took vehicle for state inspection. after I sold the car the following day, the new owner told me AAA entered the wrong vin # in their system. the new owner cannot get the car titled /registered until it is corrected. this is not the first time AAA Columbi has messed up paperwork.

Negative experience: BEWARE OF THIS SHOP! Terrible service from start to finish. I invested $1,900 to fix up a 2012 Nissan Versa that died on the road. The manager up sold me on many items, including 4 new tires when only needed 2 tires. Then, he let me pay in full and drive off in a car that was not even given a test drive. It chugged and stalled 3 times in moving traffic!!! I had to turn around and drive slowly back to the shop. Bottom line, they won't offer a dime to pay us back for maintenance that shouldn't have been done in the first place OR for the danger they put me in by letting me drive off in a car that kept stalling!!! We will be calling AAA Headquarters and suing if necessary.

Negative experience: My tires blew out on July 9th after running over a curb. I immediately contacted AAA who suggested that I tow my car to this facility. The car was towed to this facility and I was recommend to change the two tires on the passenger side as they blew out. After receiving the car there was loud buzzing noise coming at 55+ mph. After notifying AAA and speaking with Wes, he decided to test drive the car and confirmed the noise. I am disappointing that nobody test drove the car after installing the tires. Now I am resuming further repairs with GEICO insurance.

Negative experience: I do not recommend any establishment that blatantly lies to your face. Be aware of a smug little man with a “short mans syndrome” that works on Sunday's. He lies and is lazy. Try NTB or Mr Tire just a couple of miles away for great service!
