Negative experience: Scam that sends sketchy mail. Check reddit terrible stories. Google review should be shameful for hiding negative reviews.

Negative experience: Paid this off 5 years ago, never got paid for a Disneyland vacation we booked ourselves. We missed the annual renewal and now they want an extra $250. Total scam after you pay it off.

Fantastic experience: Nas was very helpful and encouraging while talking to me. She senserd a bit of trepidation on my part and made me feel comfortable. Before we were finished she said: "You are a travel agent right now, even if you don't believe it. It's pretty easy once you become more familiar on how to work our websites. She stressed opportunities to also make money on commissions as well! So, go ahead and learn about Africa so you can book that trip for your friends and family!" She spent 1-1/2 hours with me showing me how NOT to book through the cruise lines, but through Gold Rush Getaways "(with an s)". She showed me on Expedia Tap ADX various aspets of info through GRG website. Not only did I pick many things from her showing me "how to's" on the computer, but we had fun doing it. Fantastic experience: Goldrush Getaways has given us the opportunity to learn so much about the travel industry. It has given us extra income for doing just a few clicks on the keyboard. It's nice to get a 100% commission on our own travels which we do quite often. Having a tax practice business gives me a great leverage as far as clients whom I built relationship with for many many years. These clients are also now my travel clients. It didn't happen overnight of course. I just took the initiative of the online classes that is readily available. The Ensemble event we attended last year was just phenomenal as we met wonderful travel advisors like us. My next goal is to have my children get involved in this business. That would be awesome!

Negative experience: Really didn’t care for being pressured into purchasing, then once we did, every single time we have tried to use it, it’s never available, we haven’t been able to use it one time in the sixth or seven years that we’ve had it, they have awful customer service, every time I call to try to make a reservation they tell me you know you can do this yourself online, completely regret purchasing.

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusting and predatory marketing practices. I don't even know how you can legally put the word "affidavit" on the outside of a marketing mailer. And they use the return address of a UPS store in Washington DC to leverage the scam.

Negative experience: Goldrush Getaways had a booth at the Cal-Expo Home & Garden show. Their booth was there to sign up people for the 90 minute presentation. Note to; they also had a spinning wheel there. If you spun the wheel, you would win a prize. Well come to find out, at the end of the presentation and during the sign up process, you received one of those prizes for free anyway. We were even told by the two representatives at the booth that, this was just a gimmick to lure people in. We attended the 90 minute seminar and found the presentation to be quick, fast paced and somewhat confusing. We were told three times, during the presentation, they receive new people by; "word-of-mouth only, and they never advertise". We believe this not to be true because we came in contact with this company through a Home & Garden show at Cal-Expo. This review is not all that positive. I was contacted by the company to discuss how our presentation went. In short, at this gesture, I believe that this company may not be a good fit for us. But, it may work for others. We will think this over and possibly contact the company at a later date.

Negative experience: What a waste of time and resources am sure they got a good laugh making these just to get peoples hopes up

Fantastic experience: I really enjoy the classes, and I'm given the opportunity to learn more. I have been with them for a few years, and I will continue to be with them for many more! Discounts are great, and it's so easy and nice to take classes whenever. Most are webinars! You can't go wrong with continued learning for travel, etc.!!

Fantastic experience: Goldrush Getaways makes it so easy. Nasreen was patient, humorous, and walked us through until we found a much cheaper rate than the first try at a resort in Cabo San Lucas. So efficient!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of Goldrush Getaways for 9 years and have made back the membership fee a few times over with booking personal, family and friend's travel at discounted rates through hot weeks, member condominiums timeshare connections, vendors and commissions. I’ve also gone on a cruise with cabin upgrades and hosted activities sponsored by Goldrush from Vancouver to San Francisco which was fabulous. The people in the office are great and try really hard to help in any way, in addition to the self-pace and live webinars. I was skeptical at first but it has paid off.

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusting marketing practice. Sending out four hundred thousand (400k) of these to people with a disposable battery operated lighted plastic piece on the mailer. What an absolute waste of resources on our planet. I expect better from "your friendly local travel agency." Hard pass on ever using your service.

Positive experience: Make sure you do your research before you buy in to this. It's most likely not what you think it is. You can get all the "deals" on Expedia for cheaper without going through them. Not worth it in my opinion but may be different for you.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I have been members since Dec of 2013. The staff has always stood behind us in helping with whatever we needed. I have learned a lot from this team on how to book travel and saved money too. Now friends and family come to me as the "travel expert" .

Negative experience: We activated our card on 10 1322 and have been trying to get a booking in Southlake Tahoe. As we were promised a three night stay, no one returns calls they take my information and that’s it. I will keep pursuing this. We spent the time listening. The gift was really bogus. They gave some thing you cannot use. Not at all what you expect that’s OK we just wanted the three night stay and we cannot get it.

Negative experience: Buyers beware; just like everything else in life, free is never free! If you attend a sales presentation to be a new member, know that when they say "free" they mean you get a reduced cost of the product they are selling you, which is the membership with an annual fee. The membership is like Costco. You buy a membership to this business with an additional annual fee to maintain that membership, and the product you get is access to wholesale travel prices and other exclusive partnerships/reduced prices they have made with other travel businesses. That's what you are buying for a variable cost and an annual fee, nothing is free! It's a misuse of the word "free" if they use it in the sales presentation you attend. Overall it's ok, and the staff is nice enough, not any different or better than a telemarketer selling you something and then customer service helping you with using that product you bought. That's the reality of the fantasy they are selling you.

Positive experience: Interesting business model and presentation on becoming an independent travel agent. Staff were friendly and helpful, answering our questions with very little pressure to "buy" into the program. The free Hawaii trip incentive giveaway provided by a third party (Casablancaexpress) had poor reviews and required money up front, so we opted not to accept that gift. We also decided that the travel opportunities afforded by Goldrush Getaways were not a good fit for us at this time in our lives, so we did not sign up for the program.

Negative experience: Be very careful! Mandy talks a good game but please read the fine print. You will not get the truth of the service until you pay the $8990 plus $495 registration fee plus 149.00 annual fee. Once you read the material alot of conflicting information. Discount are not as they tell you. No real website to compare or verify discounts on travel. You are NOT considered a real travel agent by legal standard (no license only a membership number) which may not be accepted. You will have to call your destination to see if they will Accept your Intro Letter if not you'll have to pay same rate and Gold Rush will get the commission. Oh! The truth about the commission will not be told to you during the presentation, you will have to pay for the truth. You have three days to cancel but the office will appear to be closed! B.S. artist are their finest. Please make sure you do your homework. Good sell pitch but Bad Business.. don't walk RUN!

Fantastic experience: Great experience. All of my questions were answered.

Fantastic experience: We attended the presentation and it sounded great. We jumped at the opportunity to book flights, cruises and cars at discounted rates. We signed up, took the materials home and started using the sites. Now I could have been using the sites incorrectly but I compared costs from my Expedia acct. to the agent Expedia site and found little difference besides the commission I would receive as an agent. Based on my calculations, the way we travel, by booking our own hotels and getting money back as commission it would take 5 years to break even. The other thing we liked were the hot weeks (last minute condos at reduced price). We looked and all the condos were at places we would never visit. All in all, we exercises our 3-day right of refusal. Scott at the Citrus Heights office was VERY professional. He took care of us and was extremely polite and efficient. Though the deal was not for us we were pleased to encounter a good person like Scott. Scott was the reason I was motivated to write this hecka long review- and I hate writing

Pretty sure you can get the same or cheaper rates than they are claiming not get and not pay the $8990 joining fee. They want to make you a travel agent... Which I believe only costs about $100-200 to get an actual license. Google search how to get travel agent rates and you'll have yourself about $10k+
