Negative experience: THEE WORST customer service I've ever experienced, 8 actually wanted to find out how triple AAA works so I called the department that doesn't require a member of to get questions asked and not once but 2 times they just didn't know or didn't care and tossed me back into the abyss of a system that is impossible to navigate without a member ID....how will you get customers behaving with such a lack of professionalism I literally told both agents circumstances and yet they wanted to do the same thing instead of take a few minutes to get person on the line from the correct department who could answer the question....I'll pay another company for roadside assistance if they have this type of behavior I can just imagine trying to get a tow ...I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND oh and a so called "new" battery dated July 23 it's just Sept 24 battery is AAA battery already dead ..... Just over a year and can't even get an answer to a policy question regarding replacement....I'm sorry but this company is just pathetic....

Negative experience: For WEEKS I have been trying to get a map for New Mexico and Arizona. So far, THREE trys and they STILL keep sending me NO map or the WRONG maps. I did not want Santa Fe and Phoenix city maps.....I asked for the one STATE map that has New Mexico on one side and Arizona on the other side. Between the 800 phone number and the Ocala office I can't get something as simple as THIS. My membership renewal is coming up and I will think twice about doing so. And when I have called the 800 number, I have been on hold for a ridiculously long time. Messages I left at the Ocala office were not answered. Who needs it ???
Negative experience: Worst experience ever. You pay an arm and leg for service and when you need to use it, nobody shows up. Car's tire went bad tonight (7-27-24) at 530pm. Requested someone to come out and after waiting over 3 hours I decided to cancel it. Nobody should have to wait that long for help.
Negative experience: Very disappointed Ocala triple a, contacted you 2 weeks ago asking for route alternatives to north Carolina, you asked for date I was leaving, here it is the night before I'm leaving and low and behold my travel package, you said would be mailed to me, still not received, next year I was planning on booking a European vacation through this office, but if you dropped the ball on north Carolina, I'm not trusting you with Italy
Positive experience: It's good if you need to buy something... but service after the sale leaves a lot to be desired
Negative experience: In the past, we have used AAA for all of our travel. Loved the trip tiks. Loved the state books that were available with maps and points of interest. We went in for a book on Alaska. The agent was busy gossiping; we stood and waited. When we were finally waited on, we were told they no longer have that in the office, that most info would be found on their website. It isn't. It is bad enough that a person has to wait for hours if they have car trouble. Last time we waited 4 and AAA never came. Now this! Bad service and no information available. What a waste of $$$!
Negative experience: Worst service ever. We have been waiting 3 hrs for a tow. Original ETA 2.5 hrs from calling time although AAA declines knowledge, hour and half later staff report call service was dispatched to a said towing place locally although this place declined receiving order, now waiting three hours and same exact story and towing company states they still have not received an order. This is a waste of time and money.
Negative experience: Be prepared to wait extensive amount of time for simple tow. Multiple calls made and different answers given for simple tow of 10miles. Service in the past was never this bad.

Negative experience: 12/19/23. I paid for the year of service with AAA and I called at 10:45 P.M. because my daughter has a flat tire and bent rim that happened on 1-75 and called for a tow and AAA advised that they can not reach a tow company and they will dispatch a tow driver tomorrow. AAA has left her BY HERSELF on I-75 !! I had to call an independent tow company and pay out of my pocket for a tow. So why the F.... do I need AAA? They do not care!
Negative experience: The worst customer service I have ever experienced! If I ever did this in any of my jobs I would be out on the street! No one working, no inventory, people in the back eating lunch apparently, no one to take my money. I went in for the special promotion on gift cards for which I received emails everyday. No one was there there were no gift cards, and eventually after the receptionist just texted someone in the back I decided to leave. It was unbelievable to me that she wouldn't walk in the back and ask somebody to take care of a customer standing there ready to make a purchase. My parents belong to Triple A and I have ever since I've been able to drive and have my own membership, but this was really horrible horrible customer service. I don't even know where to complain. Bad Business
Negative experience: This will be the 3rd time I've had this problem and 3rd strike.... canceled!!! Called for a tow at 11:26pm. Got a text message saying the ETA would be 1 hour. Later, I got a call telling me the truck would be here in about 40 min. I called them an hour later for an update, and they said they would call me back with an updated ETA. I then called them again another hour later to find out my call had been canceled after that until 3:30am, and still never got a single call back or anyone to show up too tow my truck. Don't waste your money better to pay 100.bucks to a small Mom N Pop place than this joke of a company. Horrible horrible horrible service. Ocala & Inverness area.

Negative experience: Sold us a membership. Sold us a new battery with a 3 year warranty. Battery failed I 1 year. Then they told us they couldn't come and change it out because they didn't have a Battery truck in our area! They told us to take the battery out of the car, go buy a new one, install it and they would reimburse us for the battery! 2 months later, no check, and we did their job!!!
Fantastic experience: Had a car insurance emergency and Vicki at the Ocala branch fixed my problem and sent me home a happy customer.
Negative experience: I called for a tow at 1:26pm. Got a text message saying the ETA would be 1 hour. 20 min later got a call telling me the truck would be here in about 40 min. 2 hours later I called them for an update and they said they will call me back with an updated ETA. I then called them every 2 hours after that until 3:30am, and still never got a single call back with an updated ETA. At 3:30am the supervisor said they can schedule the truck for 8:00-10:00am. Still no known reason why I'm waiting until the following day for a tow and they still have it assigned to the same company. Horrible horrible horrible service.
Negative experience: Called day before regarding travel insurance, no return call! Stopped in today (9.6.23) for the same, after 45 minutes we left! Call AAA insurance 800 number and got info needed in minutes. Cannot recommend this AAA office!
Negative experience: I would love to give "0" stars because they really blew it. We needed a tow on Thursday 9-3-2023. We called at 5:34 pm and never heard anything from them. At 9:30 pm we gave up and rode back to Brooksville with our son who drove up from Lutz. Saturday we arrived back at our car in Summerfield at 5:53 am figuring we would be at the top of the list. After 7 calls to AAA we gave up and had a fantastic company The Quick Witted Towing company haul our car for us. They were there in 15 minutes. If AAA can't provide what they promise, I'm dropping them after 40 years.
Fantastic experience: Adam Amador was so helpful. He got here within 20 minutes of us calling and got our car unlocked in less than 5 minutes. Not only was he very helpful but he had such a great attitude and was very knowledgeable. If you’re ever locked out call him.
Negative experience: Had to wait over 20 minutes on the phone. Had called a week before to correct policy. There web site is poor. they added a member without my knowledge and increased my payment when I didn't see it come up on the website.
Fantastic experience: I would like to thank Ronnie of Clark's for arriving even before scheduled time, and efficiently replacing my battery.
Negative experience: First rep took my info and told me a truck would be along shortly. Did not send a tow company to come get me. I called in 3 and 1/2 hours later and they told me I was too far out into the forest. Half the time I call aaa they’re like “nope, we’re not going to help you”. Supervisor actually tried to help me look up diy solutions. I ended up hiring a fantastic local tow company that came right out and hauled me out with a wrecker. Idk why I have aaa at this point lol. AAA, for when you break down in a parking lot - literally the only times they’ve been helpful for me. Bottom line, if you get stuck in ocala national forest, don’t bother calling ocala aaa. There’s a local tow guy named Dan you can find on Facebook who is very reasonably priced, very prompt, and very effective. No I would not suggest ocala (or any) AAA based on my many experiences with them.
Negative experience: If I could give no stars I would! I have never experienced such bad service in my entire life. I needed my car towed to a mechanic so I used the app to request a tow at 4pm on a Friday. The app that they would be there at 8:05 pm. I got an automated phone call at 4:27 pm and another at 4:58 pm saying that they were delayed but would still be there at 8:30pm. I then received another automated update at 7:18 and 7:32 saying they were now going to arrive at 9pm. At 9:48 pm they still had not arrived and I called AAA letting them know and they said they would be there at 10:05pm. I called AAA again at 10:07pm and they stated that my request had been canceled! They then said they could get someone out to me by 10:30, and still no one came. I then called back and they said someone would come at 11pm and yet no one again! I called yet again, then they said 12:30. I told them to forget it, to send somone out in the morning. I put a request in at 6am and the same thing that happened the day before has been continuing throughout the day. It is now 1:30 and I still have not had my car towed!! To top it off, my brother called this morning to have his car towed to the dealership because he can't find his key and a new key has to be made at the dealer. He called AAA at 8:15 and they towed his truck by 11:30! This is ridiculous!!! I will never use AAA again!
Fantastic experience: I needed an international driver’s license and the experience was fast, simple and friendly. Be sure to fill out the application before you arrive to speed things out. You can download it and type in your info. Cost, including pics, was $38 (cc or exact cash.). It’s a busy place. Other services may require time in the spacious waiting area with comfortable chairs.
Fantastic experience: I've had to use my AAA membership twice this year and I'm so glad I have it. I had a tire blowout on I95 in SC in Jan. and was back on the road in less than 45 min. and today I was locked out of my camper and vehicle. It took the AAA guy less than 30 seconds to get my door opened (Had spare set of camper keys in truck) . Wow! Great service and lots of stress relieved!! Thank you AAA!!

Fantastic experience: It was an absolute breeze. We went in there to get an international driver's license they were very knowledgeable and took care of us quickly and efficiently. We were completely done within 20 minutes or or so with no appointment. The staff were all cheerful happy to help and I don't know what they could have done to make it easier or better
Fantastic experience: AAA has always been our go-to Auto Club. They are reasonably priced and can always be relied on when help is needed. I won't be without them. They are an absolute necessity, especially for young adults who own older vehicles!! I feel great knowing that my son can call AAA if he's in need of help while traveling. The membership truly does pay for itself!!

Negative experience: If I could put a minus 5 rating I would for the Ocala AAA office. The agent Cindy at the Ocala AAA called and transferred my AAA services from New York State on 7/25/22. I requested that I not get automatic yearly billing. She told me that I wouldn't be billed automically. Due to her incompetency I was billed automically and my checking account put into the negative because she failed to do her job properly. I was charged $70 in overdraft fees. I have been trying for a month to straighten this out. I have been treated like a ping pong. To top all of this off I received a sales call from the same Cindy who screwed everything up in the first place at the Ocala Office. She informed me that she saw that my membership had just expired. I told her New York AAA has called you about your transfer problem. She could not get off the phone fast enough when I said I am sure you wouldn't appreciate being charged $70 in overdraft fees on your checking account. This was again because of her errors of course for which she obviously doesn't like to take responsibility or provide good customer service. I don't recommend dealing with the Ocala AAA Office for AAA related business at all.
Fantastic experience: Nice spacious office with a full array of services for AAA members. I know many people do their travel planning themselves, researching online. But you can save yourself a lot of the effort by stopping in and letting their travel experts give you a head start on your planning.
Negative experience: The agent does not speak English very well. When questioned about the quoted price, all she could say was that was what the computer says. Not very knowledgeable or helpful. I'm going elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: This is the most friendliest and helpful AAA office that I have ever been fortunate enough to stop in at. From the moment you arrive and receive a warm smile and greeting until the time of your departure, these ladies are so amazingly pleasant and helpful.
Negative experience: Been a member of AAA for years, great support from the men of services. Poor customer services regarding the service the one time I really needed service. Misinformation about the times of service, no reference and no follow up for over three hours. I was not aware that AAA has such bad services until this experience. I would recommend that one looks at other options regarding towing services. Communication regarding this service is terrible. It takes several calls and there is no reference number provided regarding the service request.
Negative experience: Was lied to , the lady put my location in wrong so no tow truck ever came, I was broke down on a fast busy interstate with my baby after traveling to see family and was left stuck there 3 and a half hours after they said they were on the way. Worst experience ever with this company I will not be recommending AAA to anyone . Unless you like being jerked around and lied to when you need them most.

Negative experience: A woman named Rita or Reesha, bluntly hung up on me just now, after hearing my DAD is not with me at the moment, nor calling because he's working like most people, but gave me his information since he is busy, at work. As soon as I told her that he is not with me at the moment, she tells me he must be there in order to receive service, then hangs up. LIKE WHAT?!?! I tried getting ahold of an operator since the text link was requiring me to tow my car when all I need is a battery jump, and she does that. That's the lousiest customer service, if she would've stayed on the line, I could've told her he was 15 minutes away IF IT REALLY REQUIRED HIM TO BE PRESENT. Or could I have just had him on the phone or FaceTime? I wish I heard her name correctly so something could be brought to the attention. Thanks a lot. My name's Elijah Schwab
Negative experience: I brought my daughter to have a passport photo taken as part of the services offered with our account. When I went to submit it with her application at the County Clerk's office I was told they were not per the State Department guidelines - her hair is falling in front of her eye - and likely to be returned and required to be redone.

Negative experience: This office was not very welcoming. The staff was very aloof. It took a bit to be waited on. It seemed like we were bothering them. We had a few travel questions and the lady who waited on us said she expected a client at 3. We were there before 2:30. She just wasn't warm. There was no customer service. It was a beautiful office but the staff left a little to be desired. I really don't give bad reviews but I was not happy with the lack of service received.

Negative experience: Been waiting 18+ hours because noone wants to tow a car 89 miles at what the company pays them. Great if close to home...but any distance and your are screwed. Been AAA+members more than 50 years and this is what they have become. Save your money, go else where.
Negative experience: I was not reminded of auto renewal. I was just going to let it cancel then saw I was automatically charged. I called and canceled and was given the usual spiel of 10 to 15 days for refund. (They never take that long though for any other companies t issue refunds) I've been with AAA for many years and rarely used it. Only reason I canceled is because I very rarely go anywhere now. And when I do, I stay nearby. My family can come help if needed. No sense in keeping something I no longer need. Unfortunately, AAA intentionally holds your funds and does not even issue it until the 15th business day-if you're lucky. I called on the 16th business day and they still had not issued it. It took a few more days for them to process it. Poor business practices.

Negative experience: Called AAA...no one answered. Went on the app, put in my name, says no known person. Put in my member number, nothing, unknown. I have been a member since Dec, 1, 2021. I joined because I don't always have people around to help with flat tires, car won't start. It happened and AAA WAS NOT THERE FOR ME. I had been a member for 28 years and I quit because of a couple episodes with extremely rude, uncaring people, that let me sit along the highway, by myself, for 5 hrs.
Positive experience: Friendly folks. Few maps or booklets; going digital. Makes sense to management I guess. I like a paper map that shows attractions & side roads that might be interesting.

Negative experience: I can’t believe theses guys I’ve been sitting on the side of the road almost 7 hours I’m about to run out of gas it’s freezing and I have my child in the car with me. I’ve called AAA at least 5 times even got a supervisor on the phone he reassured me someone was coming still no one shows up Don’t even get me started on the customer service I’ve received unbelievably rude of course I’m frantic and upset I’ve been stuck on the side of the road since 4:47pm it’s now 11:43 pm and they assured me someone is coming again Don’t use these people for road side assistance if you are in an emergency situation they won’t help Or are rude to you on the phone 1 lady even hung up on me I have a spare tire but no jack so I can’t fix the problem myself And what did the manager offer He’d reimburse my account ya know what don’t bother cause I won’t be using you anymore anyway

Positive experience: AAA has decided to stop printing Tour Books. Everything "on line." Heck of a lot of good that will be somewhere - lots of places actually - with 5G & 4 or 5 bars. Look at map of west; HUGE areas with NO service. Talk about poor service...

Positive experience: Tow truck never showed up! Waited and called for 4 hours nothing. called AAA numerous times.. now the next day trying again. I don’t blame AAA, I believe it’s the towing company. Just know if you need a tow it could be quite frustrating.

Negative experience: Cancels policy after 2 months of overdue payments due to card being hacked. I had no idea they were not getting paid due to auto pay and did not realize. You would think that they would call me? or send me a letter in the mail? nope just stuck it in w/ the 90 (actually 90, not an exaggeration) other emails on an email account I don't even use anymore. And then has the audacity to try and get me to reinstate w/ them. Phone number, Address and all personal information on my account and all they did was send an email. Says and I quote "if we had to call people we would need an entire department for that". Now mind you I set up my insurance in the first place, THROUGH A PHONE.
Positive experience: I'm a AAA member going on twenty one years now who has a disability, so knowing that with one phone call someone will come & tow me were I need to go for up to two hundred miles is a great relief. The one time I did have to call for help I had someone at my door asking me how can I help you in ten minutes. The only thing I find disappointing with AAA is the so called free quote for insurance. I took the time to go through every step only to find at the end I was asked for information that was not needed to get a quote for insurance. For example why do I need to give up access to my credit history for a quote, when you could simply same this is your quote but we would need to check your credit history before writing a policy. After all you might not be able to beat what I already have.
Negative experience: AAA membership is expensive and not worth the money. They don't clearly explain that you are limited to 4 service calls per year for roadside assistance.
Fantastic experience: Friendly helpful staff. We just needed a quote. Social distancing and masks made us feel safer.
