Negative experience: I ordered the travel protection policy and they waived it without my consent. So they cannot refund me if circumstances change which they did. This is a third party agency and they are very dishonest. I will never book with them. I will always book with Air Canada from now on. They will go out of business very soon. No their rating is less than 2 star. Hard lesson learnt.

Negative experience: I have reserved a round trip that I purchased with Cheap Fare Guru from HCMC to Luang Prabang and back. This purchase was made on Nov 6. So far so good. Then on Dec 25 my credit card was charged $25 with no explanation whatsoever. I tried to reach Cheap Fare Guru without any success. I had my credit card company contest the charge but am now very worried about my trip. Of course there was NEVER any CLEAR information about any kind of membership condition to my ticket purchase. This is unacceptable and of course there is no way to reach Cheap Fate Guru to cancel the membership. Do not use these guys if you want peace of mind and a scam free experience.

Negative experience: NEVER USE THIS SITE TO BOOK FLIGHTS. Flight was rescheduled and we were never notified. When we called cheapfateguru at the airport for assistance they reported they notified us by email but refused to provide evidence of this or resend the email that was reportedly sent. Negative experience: This is just scamming in disguise. Every other app similar to this that I’ve tried HAS accepted refunds, and also didn’t try to force us to buy a more expensive ticket! I missed a flight due to miscommunication but when I needed a refund they declined. Maybe this is why this app is at a sad 1.3 stars. Do better than to scam people. Never using it again. Negative experience: This was a horrible experience. Twice. The first time, I booked two round trip first/business class tickets to Colombia. My booking demonstrated first/business class and this is what I paid for. Cheapfareguru contacted me to confirm my booking and told me the domestic portion would be economy class, however, I would still be charged for first/business class tickets. They told me it was because there were no first class seats available on the domestic portion. I declined and said then cancel it because I was not going to pay for first/business if I couldn't sit there. I checked the airline and found there were indeed first class seats so I thought i'd try Cheapfareguru again. I rebooked the flights and was told again that there were no first class seats but this time, the tickets were less reflecting this. I booked, confirmed and instructed and the trip showed up on my United account. The next day, I received a message to call them urgently as my tickets had been cancelled. When I inquired I was told that either I or the airline cancelled the tickets and I was offered to cancel my reservation which I did. I called the airline and they informed me that Cheapfareguru never confirmed the reservation with them so they cancelled it. Cheapfareguru not only charged the flights but they charged me a service fee for using them! I contested this and they argued that it was my fault for cancelling the flight even though the airline was who cancelled it. The agent argued with me over and over. I had to contact my credit card company to contest the charge. I will never use this site again! Not worth the bit of savings you may get.
Booking ID 2411124065, which was made online for the trip from San Diego (SAN) to Medellin (MDE) on November 11th, was found by the system. The customer's chosen flights and rate were booked, and the airline's cabin configuration was the only one used. Due to a duplicate reservation made by the airline, our reservation was canceled because the customer booked flights directly with the airline.

Negative experience: I wanted to share my extremely frustrating experience with Cheap Fare Guru and strongly advise others to steer clear of this company. This sham of a company is not even worth the one star I gave it. I booked a flight through them and carefully selected my seats in Delta Comfort. However, due to an operational change on Delta’s part, the tickets were reissued—yet Cheap Fare Guru did not reinstate the seat selections I had originally chosen. Worse, I was never notified about this change. When I checked in online, I was shocked to find myself and my travel companion assigned to two middle seats in rows I did not request. This is when I first became aware of the issue. I immediately contacted Cheap Fare Guru for assistance, and the situation was escalated to a supposed manager named Adam. To my dismay, he was not helpful at all. Instead of offering any solution, he blamed me for the mistake and offered no viable recourse. I am still waiting to hear back from him (supposedly in 24-48 hours from our call) after he had a chance to further investigate and escalate the matter. I had to call him back. Adding insult to injury, after all the hassle and frustration, Cheap Fare Guru offered me a $100 voucher as compensation. However, this voucher is completely useless given the poor experience I've had with the company. I have no interest in using their services again, and this voucher will never be put to use. It’s nothing more than a hollow gesture, one that doesn't begin to make up for the inconvenience, poor customer service, and complete lack of accountability. It is beyond frustrating to deal with a company that provides such poor service and shows no responsibility for its mistakes. Given the lack of support and resolution, I would strongly recommend that others avoid Cheap Fare Guru at all costs. Save yourself the stress and frustration—there are far better options out there for booking flights. I hope this serves as a warning to others to think twice before using this company!!!

Positive experience: After my previous review, 3days later CheapFareGuru took action. They changed the complete trip at the end I paid additional charges for the new tickets for their issue. It doesn’t seem okay to me. Since I have booked the tickets initially, I felt I have no other way. Agent Frank assisted in this regard professionally. Cancelation costs covered they said each ticket 150$ though they charged me additional amount 110.63$. Thank you Frank. Must stay away from this company. We booked the tickets online for my parents. They didn’t confirm the tickets after one day CheapFareGuru lady agent called me continuously when I was at work and said return Qatar flight need to change it to JetBlue flight, they changed and charged me 79$ extra for no reason and when I asked they have minimum agency charges, and the return dates the lady agent changed jun to Jan without my consent. I even said don’t change the return dates, she said verbally she is not changing the return dates and she changed in the itinerary without me knowing, and promptly they took confirmation from me when I gave the confirmation I was not concentrating on the return dates coz I was busy with work and I was in the impression that she only changed the flight not the dates. After few weeks one day my brother saw the parents Itinerary return dates they are wrong should be June when we booked but itinerary showing Jan. This fraud batch changed to January. When we asked why dates are wrong in the itinerary agent saying you only confirmed the ticket itinerary, and the agent Henry started asking us to pay additional money. If you don’t serve justly definitely unfair business practices will need to be severely punished by consumer rights. We really regret for choosing CheapFareGuru.

Negative experience: This company is treating, they keep your non-used flight refund and turn into a credit to force you for future purchase. I have a non-used flight from Eastern Airline on 4/21/2024. After I returned to the US. I requested assistance from the company to seek for the non-used flight refund. It took about 4 months. On 8/20/24, they sent me an email for the approval of refund of $914.40 and will withhold a process fee of $150, and indicated it will take about 7-10 business days to reflect the refund to my credit card. However, I received no refund to my credit card after approx. 3 weeks. I followed up with the refund. On 9/25/24, they sent me an email to apologize for delay on my refund, and instead of sending the refund back to my credit card, they will keep the refund as credit and inquired me for a future purchase from them. It was against my will and stole my refund without my authorization and convert to a credit on behalf of their favor. First of all, I have no obligation to continue purchase the tickets from this company. Second, I have no planning to travel and I have no need to purchase flight ticket in near future. I need money back to my credit card account, it is my money!!! They do not have right to keep my non-used flight refund and forced me to accept the credit for future purchase.

We were able to locate One Booking 240******7 for your family's travels. The only fare you authorized was charged and chose for the flights you reserved on September 27. After that, a USD 50 cost was assessed because you had asked for one passenger's name to be changed; the airline needed to revalidate this, hence the USD 50. further than this, no further charges have been made, and we have not gotten in touch with you regarding this reservation. Negative experience: This is an absolutely horrible company. Do not ever do business with them. They look to change the time of your flight and each time they charge you a fee. So you think you're getting a cheap ticket and you're not. You're probably paying more than you would. If you made reservations directly with the airline. Customer service is horrible. They simply do not care. I don't even know how this company stays in business. I will never ever book a ticket through them again... Now they respond with some pre-written BS a one-time fee. Sure. I was happy with the price of my initial purchase of tickets and figured since I had bought the trip insurance as well as travel assistance plan and was within the 24 hour period I would be able to switch the reservation for the return flight - it had me switching planes twice and in the air from 6:30 in the morning till 11:13 that night The new flight didn’t depart till 1:59, I only had to change planes once and arrived at 10:20. However they charged me an additional 254 for the change. Today I get an email saying the flights been changed to depart at 6:45 and arrive at 6:13 Which makes me mad I paid the extra 254 for the switch and that early departure is impossible with the 2 hour drive to the airport so I’m charged another 50 dollars to get on a flight that leaves at 2:40 It should be interesting to see what this trip ends up costing me.

Negative experience: Sold me a ticket for an American Airlines flight that was overbooked; when I got to the gate they said I do not have a seat and had to wait and see if 4 people would take a voucher & overnight hotel stay to see if I could get on the flight. Negative experience: Horrible service. I would give it a 0 if I could. Made a total of 3 phone calls. Waited over 3 minutes each time. The first time, the lady hung up on me when I asked that she not give me an attitude and that she needs to work on her customer service skills. My husband bought a ticket for me to travel from Austin, Texas to Cali, Colombia for June 8, 2024. The ticket, which was for a basic fare without including luggage on Copa Airlines, cost $795. However, when I checked the same ticket for the same dates with American Airlines in the main cabin and including luggage, it only cost $573. But received a notification from CFG that a $250.00 would be charged to my credit card due to changes in the flight. All of them are situated at the same address: 117 W 9th St #307Los Angeles, CA 90015 for now. The awful thing they do is they send you tickets, you are planning the travel, and a few days before the departure flight, you'll get a letter saying that your tickets are canceled and you need to pay the 75$ or more fee and your insurance fee are not refundable also. They promised to refund the ticket cost in a few months, but I'm unsure if I will get my money back. Be careful with them. Don't buy the tickets from these companies!

Positive experience: I am scheduled to fly out this weekend, booking my tickets last night. I became skeptical about this agency after receiving 3 calls after 11:30pm, immediately after booking my tickets. The rep stated my payment did not go through, when actually I was looking at my payment confirmation. The travel agent FAILED to inform me that there's a fee of $50.00. The booking date was October 14, 2023 departing on December 17, 2023. Negative experience: This is the worst of the worst Airline ticket CheapfairGuru, I make the purchased 2 airline tickets cost $1056.43 each, I called the same day to cancel the tickets because we have issue with Visa over sea, the customer is very rude and liar, told me in 2 weeks to refunds the money, as I wrote this comment after 2 months they never did. All the reviews posted here are true and I wish I had read them before booking with this company. I booked a flight through them 3 months early thinking that I am all set. They provided a good rate not available anywhere else. My nightmare began 2 weeks prior to the flight when I put in my confirmation number on airline website and saw completely different flights and a missed connection. When I called the airline, they told me that the change was made by Cheapfareguru and I need to contact them. It took me 2+ hours to reach customer service and with much difficulty they understood that there was a missed connection and told me the only option now will be to take the international flight a day earlier so as to make the same domestic connection. My original 22 hours flight was changed to 40 hours flight, with 16 hours layover. When I told them that I was not happy with this change, they simply told to either take this or miss your flight. Following this 2 hours of call with the customer service, I got an email with threatening language of either accept the option they are providing or miss the flight. Tired of dealing with them for hours, I accepted the 40 hours flight. Two days after I notice $75 charge on my credit card! On contacting them, they simply kept repeating that this is their reissuance fee which they pay to the provider. Nowhere in the 2 hours call with customer representative, or in the email persuading me to accept the change, was there ever a mention of $75 fee! This is clearly a SCAM to trap customers by changing the flight behind their back, and then charging them $75 to reissue the ticket, without their knowledge or approval. Had I been informed about this fee, I would have never went head with this rebooking, which caused me loss of one day's pay by departing a day early + booking a hotel for 16 hours layover. This is not what I signed up for, this is not what I paid for. I am not sure how such companies are allowed to operate in USA. I am reporting them for fraud.

I ordered my parents ticket online and they call me saying that the price is different and they need to charge me extra, I agree to the amount and then couple days later I get an email saying that the airlines change the flight schedule (only 5 minutes early change on very last flight where my parents have almost 7 hours transit, which is pretty much the same flight). When we arrived to the airport the people told us the other two tickets were cancelled as well. Negative experience: Please do not use. They charged an additional $461 to change reservations same as original fare. I specifically asked if I could change reservations and they said yes w\o additional charges. I asked to speak to manager and he said he was the mgr. I asked how many employees worked there he said about 2,000. They charged me another $50 because Delta charged the time by 5 minutes. They lied and tricked you by telling you to respond to their emails and then telling you agreed to all these changes. Very poor customer service and taking money with all the changes. Called Delta and they agreed and said they would never charge those fees.

Negative experience: Made reservations in July for flight in September. Called several time in August and 1st of September to make sure all was OK. Was put on hold for over 30min each time and finally gave up. 24 hours before flight I log in to get boarding pass. Message that it was" not possible at this time " I found another phone number and was told my reservationhad been cancelled. I was promised vouchers for a future flight. Haven't seen those. Negative experience: This was very disheartening. I booked a flight two months in advance thinking I’m all set and it’s going to work out fine. I get a call soon after with a man on the phone saying my name does match the name on the card. He called the bank and tried to get them to confirm information over the phone. Needless to say both I and the bank worker were sketched out. We ended up cancelling the tickets and I lost fifty bucks. The guy even threatened over the phone saying he had all my information and he could take all my money if he wanted to. Now I’m waiting to see if they stole the whole four hundred plus I paid, since he said the remainder of the fifty taken would be returned and I would get a notification through email. Our system was unable to process E ticket for the booking ID due to failed verification. System did not authenticate the payment as per the security norms which are designed to protect our customer from any potential online fraud and unauthorized activity on their card.

Negative experience: Found old emails from the trip I booked with this company back in 2016 and just came on here to see if this scam company was still in business and was MIND BLOWN to see that they still are! They tried to take out the ticket price from our accounts MULTIPLE times but thankfully the bank alerted us and locked our account before they could steal our money. Apparently the tickets are non refundable after exactly 24 hours. Which I can understand if you’re running a company that cares more about the money than the customer experience. And if you want your money back bad enough, they offer only a small portion of your money back in credit (yup, not even the entire amount you spent)…and only after writing another email down and then jumping through a few hoops. Negative experience: Odd and unpleasant experience booking through this group. I ended up cancelling because it got weird. Billing with the airline showed an unfamiliar credit card number and contact name of Sunne Khurana. No meaningful email address or phone for the contact so that was the first red flag. Cancelled directly through the airline and Sunne's card was credited making me think I'm screwed on what I paid CheapFareGuru. If it becomes an issue I will file a complaint with the CA AG. Negative experience: Very dishonest company. They did not disclose at the time or booking that the connecting flight airport was different from what was stated. After I paid for my flight, they provided a disclaimer that the connecting flight airport changed and that I am responsible for getting my luggage and arranging my own transportation to another airport. The only way to cancel the flight was to call them. When I called them, I used the option to cancel my reservation and was placed on hold for more than 20 minutes without anyone answering. I called again and this time picked the option to make a new reservation and someone picked up right away. I asked to cancel my flight and they confirmed that it has been canceled, but have not received my confirmation email yet.

The email sounds as though if you don’t recalibrate your ticket with them you loose your flight and they charge you$50.00 or up to $75.00 for their service, which I found out you didn’t need to do. After the fact. It’s very misleading the email they send on Flight status change stating you might loose your flight. Negative experience: Customer service is NONexistant. Yes they pay people but they do not give the service you ask for. It is now 4 phone calls and 6 reps and a weeks worth of emails. Last rep actually confirmed that the flight was cancelled and said to wait 48 hours so they could confirm the refund was sent to them. I have a copy of the confirm from the airline. It is now a week and they have had the refund for almost a month!!!
Negative experience: This company should be called “Screwyouguru”, because that what they will do. I mistakenly booked a flight on Frontier with this awful company and a few weeks before my departure, Frontier changed my departure time from 10:30am to 6:00am. Imagine what time you must arrive at the Atlanta airport for a 6am international flight. Cheapfareguru charged me $50 because Frontier changed the departure time. Then they have the audacity to say they can make an unauthorized charge to your credit card because of their fine print! Buyer beware! I say one should always book through the airline - I am sorry I didn’t in this case.
