Positive experience: Had beautiful ocean view. A few things needed some love but all in all I would book again

Fantastic experience: Excellent, if what you are looking for is to relax and unwind, this place is great, very clean and safe, the view of the beach is great, when you arrive at the place, you inform the condominium number you are going to, and they allow you access to the parking lot , so that they give you an entry pass for your vehicle, they give you bracelets for each guest and once in the elevators, you can move very easily. The whole place is very quiet and clean, you can use the water and ice machines that are inside the property and the use of the laundry is very easy to use. I recommend you bring your chairs and beach umbrella, otherwise it will affect you paying for the ones they rent on the beach. I totally recommend it

Negative experience: Great location for the beach!! However overall cleanliness wasn’t great(stains on the wall with dirty used towels, dirty sheets folded etc)and the toilet barely worked! Calling to get someone to fix was impossible almost like they was aware of the situation but refused to send someone out!! Unit 1007

Fantastic experience: I love The Sunbird Beach Resort. Rain or shine it is one of my happy places to stay. It's well taken care of. The proximity to all that PCB has to offer is fantastic. I love that Pineapple Willies is right next door. The views here are amazing day or night. ❤️ ✌️

Fantastic experience: The condo had a great view of the ocean even though we weren't ocean front. I loved the patio, private beach entrance, 3 pools, and being rt next to pineapple willy's. The beach was so close and the condo was on second floor so it was nothing to take the elevator down or stairs or go back up if you forgot something.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time staying at Sunbird Rentals and I would definitely stay here again. Its gated and has security. The room was nice and cozy. I stayed on the 10th floor it has a great ocean view. This place has 3 different pools and the best thing is its right next to Pineapple Willys and just steps away to the white sands of beautiful Panama City Beach!!

Negative experience: The absolute worst experience I've ever had renting a beach condo!!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I've been going to the gulf coast for over 10 years. This is one place I ABSOLUTELY do not recommend. I don't give negative reviews. I always try to give positive ones or positive feedback. But this is a negative one I feel I need to give. This isn't the place to stay if you want to relax. Exterminators, fire protection people, push their way into your room. Even the office people, were like whatever. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY BUT DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR VACATION

Fantastic experience: Very nice and clean place. I would highly recommend staying here. Just keep in mind that if you drive a bigger vehicle, parking is pretty tight. Other than that, GREAT!

Positive experience: If you want something right on the ocean with a great view it's great. Also the security is nice as well. Just make sure to bring cash for parking pass and wristband just in case. My condo wasn't terrible, just needed a lil updating and maintenance.

Positive experience: The pools were nice. Condos were very small & the elevators needed cleaning, however hallways were kept very clean. Everyone was friendly. Quiet place. Could use basic updating, though. We enjoyed the direct beach access & then being able to go back to the pool.

Fantastic experience: We've stayed here many times in the past. With no real issues. Only complaint is we woke up to the sound of hamering and knocking on a unit under ours at 8:30 am. I was later told by an owner, construction isnt suppose to begin before 10am.‍♂️ We have found if you book through the condo itself generally speaking, its easier to get issues resolved and the Office person most likely can help. If you book through say Verbo, Travelocity, Expedia, ect... Good luck getting issues resolved. Unlike a hotel, office help are often clueless to A. You being there. B. If the unit is ready or under construction. Often times the agency you book through are clueless to the status of the properties they manage.

Positive experience: If you want to be on a crowded beach, this is the place to go. Pineapple Willy’s is right next door and so are thousands of teenagers. However, that is not what my family of 4 wanted. It was a nice condo for the most part. The biggest pool there is not heated and hardly anyone one got in. The smaller one is heated but crowded like everything else. Views were pretty. Parking was nice. Gated with a security guard.

Fantastic experience: Great the hotel rooms have roaches. Had family in the hotel on the 4th floor they had reported it to the staff they didn't really care.

Fantastic experience: This is the third time my husband and have stayed at Sunbird Condominiums ! When we come here we stay for 4 weeks ! We love it ! Great view from our balcony In the West Tower ! The sunsets are just beautiful ! There are 3 pools and the heated pool is a plus ! We come in Feb and stay until Mar. ! We definitely recommend Sunbird Condominiums !

Positive experience: The condo we had, the bed was awful. The coffee pot didn't work. We had to pay $40 for wristbands and parking pass. There was construction going on in the other tower, so it was noisy. The last 2days the ac didn't work. I got up to 80 degrees 77 at night. The view and beach were beautiful .

Fantastic experience: We stayed in condo 306e. Had great views towards the beach. Everything inside was great clean, nothing broke, out of place. There was construction going on the west building but all was good on east side. Had 3 pools west and main we’re closed but east was open. Will return I hope sooner then later. Becky was great to rent from and had no issues with anything.

Positive experience: Love that they keep you and your car safe by having codes for all gates but it's slightly inconvenient when there are 3 and they are all different. It's hard for even kids, teenagers to remember them. We also went at the month change and codes changed in the middle of our trip

Fantastic experience: Excellent location, beachfront views, and condo W204 looked just like the pictures when booking. Loved the beach vibes and relaxing colors. Download the Vacasa app for an easy stay! The full body mirrors in the living room were perfect for the many costume changes throughout the day, from early morning walk to beach to dinner to nighttime ghost crab strolling along the shore. It’s true they’re under construction but it really didn’t bother me at all! Was not very noisy and since only 2nd floor I used the stairs. Saw many others using the elevators and didn’t hear any issues. Many balconies were open but not mine. However, the view was still lovely and it was over 80-90F out so enjoying from inside the AC was perfect. View was unobstructed. If I wanted to go outside, the beach and pools are just steps away. Both pools were open during my stay 8/11-8/14. I could have definitely stayed here for a whole week or more, it was truly a relaxing stay! This may be the best time to book if you’re on a budget- this condo was relatively lower priced (like way lower!) than other beachfront condos probably due to the construction. Has everything you need within walking distance (Pineapple Willys, Press coffee shop, Wharf Buffet, Walmart liquor store, souvenir shop, Jaa’s Kitchen Jamaican food, ice cream and Circle K). Uber-friendly if you want to go further than walking distance. It was easy to get an Uber any time of day, including back to the airport at 5:30AM. Tips for the room, make sure you close the front door behind you when coming in- it doesn’t slam closed like a heavy hotel door. Also unlike a hotel, be mindful of your luggage. They don’t have valet or bag check, you’re fine if you leave your stuff in the car til check in but if you’re arriving earlier than check-in and without a car- they may not be able to accommodate your bags. A bag check area would be a welcome addition to this condominium! Loved my stay, thank you to all the friendly staff and security guards at the gate!! George was always welcoming coming in and out of the condo and even made some good suggestions for my trip.

Negative experience: DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!! THE MARKETING SAYS "CERTAIN" THINGS ARE CLOSED BUT IN REALITY THEY MEAN ALL. No they won't help you either. Only reason I came was for the balcony on the beach (my ONE request when booking) and we get here and there is a note saying it's closed and cannot be used. Main pool is closed and under construction. Everything looks under construction. Went to go get something to drink, had to walk around everything to get to a vending machine that was out of order. When asked about the balcony, I was told "as stated in marketing, all balconies would be closed" when in fact it did NOT say all balconies, it said certain and it would of been nice to know the one I wanted was one of those!!! Wouldn't refund money. Wouldn't help. No soap in the condo. Just would not recommend. 0/10. Wouldn't give one star if Google allowed.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful condo. We have a great time!

Positive experience: The place itself is beautiful but some of the front security people can come across really rude but they are easy to ignore as long as you wear your wrist bands. What isn't easy to ignore is the construction, the room i stayed in the balcony couldn't be used. Which is fine just if it's something you care about make sure you ask for one w a working balcony. But if you plan to get any sleep on your vacation then do not stay here, we were woken up 8 o'clock sharp everyd to banging and clanging right outside our window which was impossible to ignore, and my last night staying I was kept awake all night by one of the rooes the have tied on the side of the building hitting my window for hours because of the wind. Other than those annoyances the place is beautiful just not the best time to stay, until they get everything done.

Negative experience: Awful!!! Paid for Beachfront with balcony, and it was closed due to construction. No one mentioned construction. A lot of disappointment.

Positive experience: Great location, but they are still working on damages from a hurricane from 5yrs ago. One vehicle per family. The closest parking was a 5-minute drive but a 20-minute walk. The elevator is super scary.

Fantastic experience: Could not have asked for a more comfortable place to stay. Our condo at Sunbird Condos was an absolute treat. A two minute walk onto the beach and super friendly staff! What is not to love? Very good location do do all of your family Florida fun activities!

Negative experience: Don’t stay here everyone I talked to this week had a horrible experience and we all won’t be returning and I have talked to a lot of people! You have to pay to park in their parking lot that wasn’t included in my 3k for the room. They literally only give you one towel and one wash cloth per person for the week and you have to keep washing them $5 to wash and dry a load! They didn’t leave no extra toilet paper, paper towels, dish washer pods trash bags, dish soap, I had to go buy all of that! Never told us about construction going on so at 8am they started making tons of noise! The bug guy beat on our door at 8am not even sure he was a bug guy when I opened door he just bathed in and walked through the condo! They security people that work the booth outside all have different rules the first 3 days we were here the woman opened it as we drove up and then the man was there I waited and he rudely said you have to put the code in I said well I been here for 3 days and no one has ever told me that! Then we rent a golf cart come back they tell me we can’t park it in their fence to park it outside the gate so I did like the woman told me to come back out and the man wrote a note with a parking violation on it! There was hardly any parking and it’s your own risk that they were painting so if you parked a certain place you could get paint on your car! I will not stay here again ever!!!!!! Don’t waste your money stay some where else where you feel like your on a vacation not at home still having to clean and wash clothes every day! Several people I’ve talked all had horrible experiences!

Negative experience: CAUTION: my wife and her sister. Are currently staying at Sunbird 609e and THEY HAVE NO BALCONY ! ( nor does the next door neighbors) This was not revealed in their booking paperwork. On the main website is a generic statement of “certain unit balconies and pools are closed and completely inaccessible” . LET THE BUYER BEWARE, Go somewhere else..

Negative experience: The condo is under complete construction. No where in the listing did it mention construction. In the email I received, after paying, it stated some construction starting Aug 2022. The listing stated the room had a balcony, outside deck, pool. Didn't find out until the guard at the gate told us the balcony in the condos were not accessible. Everything on the ground floor is roped off and covered in tarps. No access to pool. No access to outside deck. It looked dangerous to even try to gain access to the beach, since you had to go through all the construction. Elevator has construction foam board inside it. Get to the floor. There is scaffolding everywhere. Blue tarp on all the windows. The balcony doors are boarded shut. The inside frame of the door is busted, looked like it had been kicked in at some point and glued back together. The tan carpet was stained black in most spots. Called Vacasa and was hung up on by 5 different people trying to get moved to a different condo or get a refund. Took 3 hours for someone to finally say we could get a refund, but still had to get a call back the next day. Drove almost 3 hours to stay at this condo for a relaxing weekend, completely ruined our first day. Had to get book a last minute hotel room somewhere else.

Negative experience: We didn’t have hot water for our entire stay. Had a maintenance man take a look at the hot water heater and said we needed to contact the office about it because it was so rusted it was corroded. But no one is in office over the weekend so we were never able to get in contact with everyone. The sink in the bathroom also didn’t drain. There were some stains on the blankets and couches as well.

Negative experience: Being renovated, walked into a disaster!!! $30 a day parking and $10 wristbands weren't necessary !!!

Negative experience: If you have kids or want to have any fun that might cause the slightest noise, do NOT stay here. This is the only place I have stayed at in PCB in 16 years that seems to look down on “visitors”. My 7 year old niece was with us, the looks we got alone made us feel uncomfortable. My sister and brother-in-law were not even allowed to pull on the property to simply pick us up to go out to eat. This is also the first place that I have stayed that did not allow this. Not stay the night, I’m talking simply pull in the parking lot and pick us up from the curb. The security guards were Barney want-to-be’s. First bad vacation I have had in PCB. Not to mention the ocean water in front of the condos smelt like sewage the entire week. We ended up leaving this property to swim at a public beach. DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY!

Fantastic experience: I am aware these condo's are older. But the ones we have stayed in are remodeled and VERY well taken care of. One of my favorite places to stay in Panama City and we owned a house here for 25 years.. Panama is home to me so this is saying alot. I absolutely love the Sunbird and it's our go to spot.

Positive experience: Under construction, but looking good. Older style property, but the upgrades look to be going well. Awesome calm location on the central side of the beach.

Fantastic experience: Stay here every year, it's always a great experience. The rooms are smaller, however the resort is never really crowded and the beach isn't either. Pineapple Willys right next door.

Fantastic experience: We really enjoyed our stay and the host was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, a little loud due to construction, but our host was transparent with us about this and offered a discount. Gorgeous view of the beach and very comfortable rooms. We also enjoyed the large television and board games.

Negative experience: Broken glass in parking lot, water main leak/water shut off day before Thanksgiving, 1 elevator rarely works.. and the icing on the cake, the patio eight floors up has securing screws coming out of the patio itself. Posting those photos if able

Negative experience: The view is beautiful but that’s about all I can say that is good. There isn’t hardly any towels in the place, 2 small tools of toilet paper, found roach’s, found broken glass on the balcony. The construction and buzzing and humming and banging all day. Definitely not able to relax. For this being an extended stay condo.. It has hardly anything in it.. Anyone coming.. plan on packing everything!!!

Positive experience: Been here 24 hrs no air, 81° In room. Put in 3 work orders and no one to the room to fix yet. Only sheets on the bed, no blankets. Was told to give 48° to repair air. So expected to stay here at $200+ a night in an uncomfortable room, unable to sleep or enjoy any relaxation in the room. Was tile to give 24-48° to have someone out so over the entire half of time we are here we are expected to stay in a room that is hotter than it is outside at the charges rate! Would not recommend! Update- fixed the issue and moved us to another rental that the air is working.

Negative experience: Horrible Horrible!!! Beware!!! The air in the condo didn't work, I emailed through airbnb multiple times and no response. The bathroom didn't look like it had been cleaned. The mattress on the bed was upside down we flipped it over to found stains all over the pillow top mattress. Again I emailed this to Sunbird condo and no response.

Fantastic experience: We stayed there last year it is a very nice place. But they make you pay $ 30 for parking and you are only allowed one car per condo. Plus you have to buy arm bands for the pool.

Positive experience: Not enough amenities. Last resort booking. Room was Small. Got the job done. Room wasn't cleaned very well.(a friend rented another unit at the same time and had the same experience.) Price point not bad for what you get.

Negative experience: Oh if I could only say what I really felt. I will let my pictures do the talking. This is Unit 108 West. This review is for that unit and Vacasa specifically and not the Resort in its entirely. I had rented it through Vacasa and have had zero response from them. $1,799.68 for 4 nights for what your about to see, we tried to find somewhere else to stay but with it being the 4th holiday there was nothing available. Let our misery be your guide. For your viewing displeasure. Renters be aware, DO NOT STAY IN THIS UNIT. Sunbird 108 West. The resort is beautiful and I am sure this unit is the exception. I had reached out to Vacasa and left a poor review and no one has reached out back to me.

Negative experience: It seems alright from the pictures, but when we arrived, we found lots of mold under the pull-out couch bed. I went to take a shower, and when turning the hot water up just a little and turning the cold to max, it was still burning. Barely had and pressure, and did I mention it was nasty? The 2nd day I found a roach under the bed and the 4th day one in the kitchen!

Positive experience: I reserved unit 506 West for 4 nights using VRBO. The location cannot be beat if you are looking in this particular part of PCB. These condos are definitely some of the older buildings in this area and as I made the reservation, it warned of possible construction on the property and in the units. I think the pics on VRBO gave an accurate description of the unit but all the furniture and the kitchen need updating. The bathroom is nicely updated but that's all. The door lock also needs to updated because we had to try the code 2-3 times to get in the unit. It was worth the trouble to be directly on the beach and to have such nice views of the Gulf. The pools were clean and they are located right next to Pineapple Willie's, which is very popular, and close to lots of other dining options and activities for the kids. I circled the unit location on the last picture - we were front and center in the West tower. Another note is 506W is rented on VRBO and AirBnB by Emerald Beach Properties, a management company not an individual. If they really updated this place, they could charge a lot more money than they do now. I would rent a different unit if I chose Sunbird again in the future.

Negative experience: Paid over a grand for 4 nights to stay here. When I came to checkin they told me I couldn’t checkin. Then refused to give me my money back. Front office was extremely rude and said she refused to talk to me when I asked why. Completely lost out on a grand and ended up having to stay elsewhere. 10/10 Don’t recommend

Positive experience: The only reason I'm giving this place 3 stars is because the room itself was a very nice 1 bedroom. But it's all the extra fees that they charge. Parking cost you $40. Cleaning fess And on top of that your expected to take your trash out and to start dishwasher before you leave. The room we stayed in had 2 tvs 1 in the living room and 1.in bedroom. The 1 in the lr we could only get 1 channel. We had no wifi password. If you're able to get a room where the Tv's work I'm sure you'll like sunbird resort. On the plus side you're within a.short walk to a bar called willys pineapple. All in all it was a great experience. They jus need a.better way for customers to get in touch with someone if u.are having issues. Fix that and I'll give ya 5 stars

Fantastic experience: We stayed in the East tower. The beach view was amazing. The unit was clean and free of issues. The elevator liked to close on people at times but this had nothing to do with our specific unit. It's right next to Pineapple Willie's and minutes from all the other major destinations in the area Sunbird isn't as fancy as some of its neighbors but it's nice and just what we needed. A home away from home

Negative experience: The ladies at the front desk were absolutely rude treating us like we were children, we had just gotten back from the beach and the front desk staff was pounding on our door and screaming in my face. At one point she followed us to our car and reached her whole body into my car and tried to grab our parking pass to of my hand, which was completely unprofessional. Along with the security harassing my friends and I. He was circling our car there which was absurd. They all lack in communication and being professional. We were told as we arrived that we had to pay from wrist bands and a parking pass when that was never mentioned before. There was also loud construction every morning and night. We left our trip early in the week because of the harassment and horrible customer service. I do not recommend staying here at all.

Negative experience: Stayed there this weekend in unit 508E. Open the door to the unit to a musty loud sour smell from wet stained carpet. What is the cleaning fee is for, if it will not be cleaned before arrivingMy family could not enjoy our stay in condo because of the smelly wet carpet. My husband talked to the company representative and lady was rude and had no interest of resolving our issue. She sent someone out to spray some loud air freshener in the unit. We asked for another unit or refund of at least cleaning fee. We was lied to and said that a manager would call us the next morning and they would send someone out to see what could caused the wet carpet. No called us and we spent our entire stay with the balcony doors open as much as possible to air out the condo. Also unit sooo outdated. Looks nothing like pictures as advertised.
