Fantastic experience: I was recommended this place and I gave it a try and it was the best thing I did… the staff there are very nice and friendly they make you feel like you are a family to them.. I enjoyed my stays there I will definitely recommend it to anyone who needs to spend the night… every time I stay out there I always make sure to get a room there with them

Fantastic experience: The newly renovated specialty room was nicer than I expected, the lobby was decorated to fit the holiday season and front desk was simple to deal with. I would recommend The Pines to anyone looking for a better experience for an affordable price.

Negative experience: Roaches in rooms l, refused to extend my stay.....Crack heads smoking outside needles people throwing up. Place needs to be shut down

Fantastic experience: I saw Instagram page and now follow!! We decided to celebrate our anniversary and stayed in a jacuzzi room!! Front desk staff was so nice. It felt great to be on a staycation. Not far from home, yet felt like we were on vacation. Enjoyed relaxing in jacuzzi.

Negative experience: I was at that motel last week. I requested a room change because the room smelled of cigarettes, the Manager of that Motel was rude and canceled my reservation. please don't choose that place.

Negative experience: Very very very disappointed with this place. We had the room yesterday (Friday) night and we was staying 3 days and they told us they booked out the room we was in. How you book out the room when people are in it? Now we have to find another place on the weekend and it's going to be expensive for us to find. I'm very disappointed in this place, I really am.

Positive experience: Pines is discriminatory to Social Services people. They charge them $150 a night and charge others $130 a night.

Negative experience: The room smelled of cigarettes as soon as we walked in. The shower door was broken so we couldn't close it and got water all over the floor and almost fell several times when we finished our showers. The jacuzzi had cracks in it so I was worried about using it. I didn't talk to the attendant so I don't know if they were nice or not and it was easy to find. It's in between two big name hotels. This isn't exactly a family friendly motel. If you're looking for a place for an hour or two this is your place.

Fantastic experience: The lady who give us our room .., was very rude. Called and asked us several times to leave early. And didn't give us a refund when u left early. Paid for the room has a permit to film there but she took it upon herself to be very difficult. Could it be because we we're African American... ?? Only she can answer that. I can't speculate. But it was a very uncomfortable experience because of one of your front desk employees. Please try sensitivity training

Negative experience: Over priced, and they NEVER pick up the phone. I've called hundreds of times and not once have I ever gotten someone to pick up the phone

Negative experience: this place is so disgusting. the woman at the front desk is nasty. we were given a price on the phone that was different upon arrival. THEN, she said two to a room meanwhile there are people who LIVE HERE in large numbers and have like 5 people living with them. our bed had a hole in the comforter like someone burned it. the hollywood motel down the street is way better and more clean. so trashy and ghetto here

Positive experience: I stayed here for 2 weeks in New York in the year 2000 with a friend. For two young crazy, adventurous men with low demands, it was absolutely sufficient. Bed, toilet, shower, roof over our heads, and cheap – that’s really all we need. Our main motivation was Manhattan, so we took the Long Island Railroad back and forth every day; the train station is not far and easily reachable on foot.

Negative experience: There was no heat when moved in. They said they would come fix it and never did. The thermostat is dirty and sticky. Bathroom filthy, the ceiling leaky, smells like cigarette the hallway. Leaking ceiling since I've been there and it hasn't been fixed. No discount on my rate at all. The staff left my door open a couple times. Everytime I go pay if I don't see the manager I get told different prices. Its very noisy there, cops stay coming there for some reason. There is no senior discount all the time just certain days. Alot bums, etc be hanging around, asking me for money. Price just recently went up. Worse experience at a place for me. Leaving and was able to get discount on not staying all day and all the issues I've been dealing with, not very understanding or willing to work with you.

Negative experience: it not the worst if its just for a couple hours or overnight.. to all my DHS clients ..No micro wave n room wifi from 1-10 rate at 2 if u dont have iphone good luck w/ hotspot.. The chinese food around corner caters to trailers but cut throat to how our food is caters to FOH eat n be weary..

Positive experience: It's not the Hilton or better, but it's good if your on a budget, it's clean. The shower was hard to adjust. At first it's good, then it gets very cold or boiling hot. Your have to play with it, making the shower a bad experience. Besides that it's cool.

Positive experience: I would advise people not to stay here unless they would love to have their clothing and belonging reek of cigarette. The entire room was saturated with the smell of cigarette plus the wifid didn't work. I just stayed there because I was desperate.

Negative experience: Mixed reviews on this one. Certain staff was rude and unprofessional. They were not accommodating to the issues bought to thier attention. As to where other staff stepped up to try and smooth out rough edges. Those that apply to work with the public should be able to respectfully work with people as individuals. There are also a few other issues that may need to be addressed yet this is top. Exceptional customer service is essential in any business.

Negative experience: Two days now out of 5 and no one has come to change the bedding. RUDE WOMAN OLD WITCH AT FRONT DESK. the lady at cheeking was very cool and Customer oriented. Been more than an hour and still cannot get change of bedding. Place sucks! Money not refunded. I noticed the Marriott across from them... lots of ganga smokeing.

Positive experience: Ive stayed here a few times.. Its local N needed to ckear my head, however, its not great looking at all no does it have amenities or are the rooms very nice... I chose it cause its close to walk to the mall and stores and I guess cheap ($110 a night weekdays)!! However, theres NOTHING BUT PEACE AND QUIET, If u need it, that id recommend for this place.. Some rooms are even in a section behind the brick walls so ur WIFI may be bad... I do know however, this DEF is a MOTEL that you can rent rooms for a few hours!! And, there are a FEW nice rooms with Jacuzzi'S (Nice, meaning for HERE) that are a bit nicer N a bit more money!! All rooms do have table n chairs and a small fridge.. IM GONA BE REAL, Dont even bother UNLESS like I said you just need to escape for a night BY YOURSELF and do some Soul Searching, NOTHINGGG MORE!!! LOL
