Positive experience: We returned on January 7, 2025, and I can say that our experience with Volatur was good. The transfer to and from the airport was precise and punctual. We did the 4-hour city tour, and the guide was very accurate and knowledgeable. The only drawback was that we couldn't spend the $50 voucher we had saved for attending a gospel mass, as the agency informed us that there would be their information point at our hotel on Saturday, which actually did not exist.

The guide enriched our experience with important historical notes and with his charm made the tours truly unique. We also received help regarding transportation to and from the airport. Always punctual and at optimal costs. We recommend this agency for your future travels to New York.

Negative experience: Experience to forget, disappointed, excursion made to Dyker Heights. My husband and I paid $160 for this experience that we were so excited to do. The guide was in a hurry, not even enough time to take a memorable photo, shameful. I do not recommend doing this with this agency. Save your money.

Fantastic experience: Package trip booked with transfer via ltur. The pick-up from JFK Terminal 7 went perfectly. Almost to the minute, you were picked up again from Plaza Manhattan. I will repeat it in April 2025 and am very confident that it will work smoothly again. Since there will definitely be long queues at immigration, I would recommend you to shift the pick-up time another 30 minutes later. If you land with Condor, for example, at 14:25, then 16:30-17:00 would be the perfect pick-up time.

Negative experience: Airport transfer from RIU Plaza to JFK booked for 4pm (printed voucher with 4pm on it too) and no show. When contacting the company the transfer had been changed to 5pm without telling me. No effort made to rectify the change after a lengthy call which achieved nothing other than the time had been changed and nothing could be done. Appalling service - don’t use them!

Fantastic experience: Experience with Volatour excellent!! We benefited from both two tours (night tour and contrasts tour) and the transfer to the airport and we had a great time. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful and everything is organized to the best. Highly recommended!

Negative experience: The city tour was too rushed and lacked adequate explanations about the main sites visited. The agency, on its own initiative and without notice, combined a fairly large group engaged in multiple tours with private small groups, dedicating much time to organizational announcements regarding the said group instead of explanations related to the neighborhoods visited. Experience not to be repeated with these guides.

Negative experience: Terrible experience with this agency... I arrived at the airport and they didn't come to pick us up, we had to arrange a taxi after 2 hours of waiting and bureaucracy.... On the first day of the city tour, they left us at the memorial with 4 other people and didn't notice we were missing, after several phone calls and emails, we returned by taxi.... We expressed our disappointment and they didn't even bother to apologize... On the second tour of the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, we spent 4 hours on the bus and saw almost nothing... On the third tour to Washington, we spent 8 hours on the bus, saw the cemetery in a rush, and the White House from a long distance for 5 minutes. I recommend you arrange your visits because with these agencies you only spend money and see nothing, public transport costs you less and takes you everywhere....

Fantastic experience: Excellent in everything.

Positive experience: Returned a few days ago from the New York tour, Niagara Falls, Toronto, Washington, Philadelphia. The guide Frabco who accompanied us from Niagara Falls to Philadelphia was not satisfactory at all. Apart from the fact that he did not speak Italian fluently, he was very superficial and not competent, he did not show us the most important things, such as the cathedral in Toronto, but instead took us to a shopping mall. The visits to Washington and Philadelphia were also unsatisfactory. A grumpy person with no empathy at all. A disappointment. Furthermore, Volatour should consider changing the hotel in Niagara, too dirty and outdated.

Fantastic experience: We have just returned from New York and we did two excursions with Volatour. We had a great time, excellent tours, impeccable organization, and two Italian guides, Marco and Antonio, who were very knowledgeable and helpful. At the end of one excursion, dinner was scheduled. It took place in an Italian restaurant with truly excellent food. Volatour is highly recommended based on our experience.

Fantastic experience: Excellent organized tour of the city, the night walk and contrast tour with very prepared guides; especially the enthusiasm and involvement of Luigi is an added value. Very good. The availability and friendliness of the office staff were also greatly appreciated.

Negative experience: We arrived late in the evening and they left us stranded at the airport because the flight was delayed and they only provide availability until a certain hour (it was 11 PM). It's impossible to contact them by phone, only via WhatsApp, and they don't always respond. Zero organization, not recommended. (We had the shuttle booked for 12:30 PM and they showed up at 1:54 PM, not even outside the hotel, with the excuse that the road was closed (everyone else was passing).

Fantastic experience: Eight days in New York, all the excursions booked with Volatour, including transfers to and from JFK airport. Positive experience! Top guides! Professional and efficient.

Negative experience: We booked a tour of the city of NY through an Italian agency. Overall, it could have been a nice tour, but unfortunately there were really too many people (50) and the guide (a girl who wasn't Italian but spoke Italian) was really incompetent and lacked empathy. 1. She didn't wait for the group to gather before moving; 2. She made no historical reference to the city, only talked about the wealthy areas for shopping; 3. She made us stop in Central Park in a random part that had nothing beautiful to see, just overgrown flower beds; 4. She made us get off to see an insignificant arch which for us Italians would have been better to see the characteristics of New York; 5. She didn’t take us to Wall Street saying the road was closed (we could have gotten off and walked if she had wanted to); 6. In Little Italy, she left us giving a meeting point at the bus to run her errands. In conclusion, I would say that perhaps Volatour should better check the work of its guides because in my case I don't think I would trust them again for a tour.

Positive experience: Through my travel agency, I booked the transfer package to and from JFK airport with Volatour. The transfer was on time both to and from the airport. Included in the package was a half-day tour with an Italian guide from New York, which we really appreciated because Luigi, our guide, was very good at telling the city's history, describing what we visited, and also gave excellent advice on how to get around and where to eat. On-site, we purchased the one-day tour to Boston, also with an Italian guide. Unfortunately, for this tour, the review cannot be positive because our guide, who was not Italian, did not speak our language well and could not provide good explanations of what we were seeing. Additionally, the bus we traveled on was old and had the air conditioning set too high. Furthermore, I recommend that Veratour update the tour prices both on the website and in the agency.

One of my best experiences with a guide: he managed to summarize the historical, cultural, social aspects and much more, giving a complete picture of the city without being heavy, but rather making it fun for us. Negative experience: The guide does not make sure that the whole group has gotten off the bus and leaves you behind. We paid 158 dollars for two adults, plus 59 dollars for a 3-year-old girl, for not having the security of a point of reference. This is our experience, and I don't feel at all like recommending a tour with them.

Negative experience: One star only because I can't give a 0. My husband and I were in New York, booked a shuttle from JFK Airport to the hotel and back. Upon entering, the passport control took longer, I contacted the company, and they said, 'We are waiting, someone will be there.' No one was there. They did not respond to further WhatsApp messages, so I called. Then they said, 'At least 1.5 hours wait' even though we were assured multiple times that someone was waiting. The return trip was almost the same. On the phone, we were told a 4 AM pickup time in front of the hotel. Did someone come? No. We were left standing, couldn't reach anyone because they were 'closed'. So we had to take an expensive taxi for both trips. WE WILL NEVER BOOK THIS SHUTTLE AGAIN!

Negative experience: The bus driver who took us to the airport was very rude, he asked us for a tip, but not having cash we asked to pay with a card but he insulted us and left. Volatour has unfriendly employees, I prefer to take a taxi which costs about the same.

We did 3 tours with them: the contrasts tour, the walk on the Brooklyn Bridge, and a more general one. Don’t miss the one on the Brooklyn Bridge that also includes an Italian dinner (very good and inexpensive) and a stroll in the Dumbo neighborhood. I think it was the best experience I had during my vacation days! The guides are available and very knowledgeable, absolutely a guarantee!

Negative experience: Tourist agency of Italians for Italians in New York. Unfortunately, only interested in making their own vouchers and packages rather than giving real suggestions. Organize yourselves... Much better.

Negative experience: One star but only because 0 cannot be given. We booked a half-day New York tour with them well in advance, which had been confirmed, but once we arrived at their office, they informed us that they had canceled our booked tour without notifying anyone, realizing that they had overbooked. Their response was 'it's not our problem.' Rude staff, completely inattentive to customers, incompetent in organization and not organized at all. It's not enough to accept a thousand bookings just to profit at the expense of the customer relying on you. Highly not recommended.

Negative experience: I strongly advise against the transfer from the hotel to JFK airport. They arrived late to pick us up at the hotel and were on another block to not waste any more time for the already incurred delay!! The concierge assured us at the time of booking that we would arrive at the airport at 1:05 PM but we ended up arriving well half an hour late, at 1:35 PM!! I strongly advise against it... just to take money, they provide incorrect information with the risk of missing the flight!

Fantastic experience: The agency is a true reference for Italians traveling to New York who are initially disoriented by the vastness of the Big Apple. Always available and kind. Their transfer service is also excellent, always precise and attentive. I recommend taking a walk with them on the Brooklyn Bridge in the late afternoon; it was perhaps the best excursion of my American vacation. Trust them without too many reservations. Fantastic experience: We booked a tour called 'Tour of Contrasts' that included a bus ride with stops in New York neighborhoods. At the departure, Laura, a bubbly and friendly guide, awaited us and accompanied us with historical facts and very interesting anecdotes throughout the duration of the tour. With patience, she answered our questions and also offered us a lot of advice. Truly amazing!!!

Negative experience: The experience was nothing short of scandalous. You don't leave people who have traveled for 9-10 hours at the JFK airport in New York!! Furthermore, you were aware that we were present on the flight because you loaded four other people onto the same plane and knew we were there because you talked to the others. We had to sort ourselves out with a taxi. We did not go to get a coffee, but we were in line at passport control, which lasted an hour and a half! Leaving people, who had you as a reference, alone in a distant place is truly shocking and depressing. You totally disregarded the next person; I hope many read this review and avoid you!

Negative experience: The worst experience of our lives. A disastrous company, with irresponsible and rude workers. We arrived at the airport where they were supposed to pick us up and no one shows up; after half an hour trying to find someone to call, we got in touch with the company and they told us they had come to the airport at a different time, but they knew the arrival time of the flight because they had a paper. They did not provide a solution and on top of that, they spoke to us terribly. Later, they changed our excursion for the first day at the moment of leaving and said it would be in two days. On the day of the excursion, they also did not come to pick us up, did not provide a solution, and did not refund the money. And all the places we were supposed to visit with them have the wrong dates. Horrible all ñ.

Negative experience: Disorganized and incapable, they made me wait more than an hour for the airport transfer because they had combined multiple people with different flights. They didn't inform me that they had modified my excursion package. When booking a museum with them, they printed the wrong date, and I only thank the gentleman at the ticket office who noticed my astonishment and let me through. I do not recommend it to anyone. Money wasted, and they take advantage of you because then you find yourself far from home and to avoid ruining a vacation, you adapt. Not even a star.

Negative experience: We booked a vacation package in which Volatour was responsible for the transfer from the airport to the hotel. When we exited customs, they were no longer there and provided us with no alternative. They claim that they do not wait more than 60 minutes, but customs in the US can take a while and that premise is not reflected in any travel document. Furthermore, we had booked a bus tour to see the city, which turned into a van with tinted windows where we were 14 people in a van meant for 11. We got off since we were illegally traveling with people without seats and it was not the tour we booked, and we went to complain only to be told that they would change the van when they could throughout the tour. A disaster!!

In addition to the transfers between the hotel and the airport, where we had no problems with them, we took a tour of the Brooklyn Bridge in the evening... However, we waited a long time for the bus that was supposed to take us to see the Christmas lights at Dickens High... it can happen in NY!

Negative experience: DO NOT TRUST THEM. We arrived in New York on November 29th. The flight landed on time but a problem at the access control delayed the exit of passengers from several flights, including us, for more than two hours. We informed them. All the other tour operators were aware and were waiting for their clients. They were not. Upon leaving, they said they had been waiting. We paid 240€ for the round trip, a true rip-off, and they left us stranded. I am trying to file a complaint and they are not responding. We are going to take legal action.

Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars, I would... you are a fake agency. You made us wait 4 hours at the airport. After an hour and a half of waiting, we contacted you and one of your collaborators informed us that the driver was stuck in traffic but was on the way. After another hour, the agency we had relied on for the tour operation, which had meanwhile contacted you, told us to take a taxi. To this day, you deny everything, saying the driver arrived on time but we did not show up. In New York, I explicitly asked you to speak with the driver, but you deflected the conversation, saying not to worry, you had seen a dispute had been opened since we had paid for the service. But as I see from other reviews, we were not the only ones. Seriousness is zero. Not even the courage to admit your mistakes. Ridiculous...

The only negative note was the guide who accompanied us to Brooklyn; he rushed us and scolded us if we stopped to take some pictures on the Brooklyn Bridge. Negative experience: shuttle service to and from the airport, terrible service. Upon arrival at the airport, we waited 45 minutes for the driver after calling the Italian assistance service. From the hotel to the airport after 2 hours of waiting and 15 calls, he did not show up, in the end, to avoid missing the flight we took a taxi. Turn to other agencies. They are terrible.

Negative experience: Terrible experience, out of three stops we only made one in the Bronx, we were three hours late because the driver took the wrong route. The guide was unable to explain anything. Don't go with them, save your money.

Negative experience: Terrible experience, they organized a tour to take money, on Saturday with an event in the city, a bus with 36 people was stuck in traffic for 5 hours. And from Volatour there was no help, on the contrary, they forcefully imposed their rules. Terrible service.

Negative experience: Almost 2 hours of waiting inside the airport. I had to call to have someone come and pick us up. I advise against booking anything and just taking a taxi or Uber.

Negative experience: I must regrettably acknowledge that the reviews for this travel agency are almost all negative. Unfortunately, I have to confirm everything; they are expensive, incompetent, inefficient, and rude beyond measure. Only in the guide Vittorio Terracina did we find great humanity, attention to every participant, and immense culture and the ability to convey it. In the future, we will choose something else that our fellow travelers have spoken very highly of, V O L A T O U R !!!

Negative experience: We used the services offered by Volatur during our honeymoon, staying in N.Y from August 7th to 12th. We had high expectations and trust in the guides and itineraries proposed by Volatur. In reality, we should have understood that the lack of information in the travel program revealed the superficiality and triviality with which the guides would then propose the itinerary. In fact, starting from the first day, the program stated that we would take a guided bus tour with some stops such as: Little Italy (because the guide had to take us to drink a real Italian coffee 'without any agreement with the café'), Central Park, Trump Tower (etc...) and, last but not least, the Statue of Liberty. However, be warned, this last monument would be our responsibility to observe as a distant dot from the bus because seeing it up close was not planned. When we pointed this out (there were many of us), the guide downplayed it, stating that we should have been careful during the trip. Therefore, the moral of the story, we had to go on our own during our free afternoon to make a more in-depth tour than the superficial one we had made in the morning. Similarly, the other guide who accompanied us to Toronto, Niagara, Philadelphia, and Washington navigated the route to make planned stops to earn something between meals for which he was eager to make reservations and payments. In fact, the tour in Toronto lasted barely 2 hours because we had to return to Niagara to have lunch at the observatory restaurant from which to admire the falls. Even in this case, we had to detach from the group to visit Toronto better, returning with Flixbus to Niagara (at our own expense). I can affirm a similar situation for Washington where, to avoid us wandering independently in the evening and thus ensure a number of participants for his bus route, he stated that it was appropriate to travel in a group due to the danger of the city. In reality, other participants also realized along with us the safety of the city given the police cars in various sensitive places. It is unfortunate to make this known and we are forced to reconsider the possibility, in the future, of relying on Volatur. P.S. poor organization also for traveling between the various cities: 2 days by bus when we could easily have used a plane and allowed ourselves to better visit everything.

Negative experience: Rude staff who do not provide the slightest assistance to customers in difficulty, being the only Italian contact in a foreign land. Moreover, they do not even provide the right information regarding their tours. They overlapped two tours for which we completed one incompletely. Excellent guide Vittorio who tries in every way to meet everyone's needs.

Fantastic experience: Great agency for guided tours of New York with various options. Especially great for those who are Italian and are not very comfortable with English.

Negative experience: Attention!!! Upon arriving in New York, we found no one waiting for us. After about an hour and a half, we managed to contact Volatour, which sent the driver. 2 hours wasted inside the airport. On our return (we had already paid for the round trip), despite my request for more attention and punctuality, the driver did not show up at the indicated time. Result: we risked missing the flight! Judge for yourselves.

Negative experience: Terrible experience with the agency that does everything except assist the customer, we missed two tours because they did not provide us with accurate information, shifting the responsibility onto others. The experience in New York was still incredible thanks also to Vittorio Terracina, the only valid guide in the whole agency, a cultured and extremely professional person. Besides this, New York was wonderful.

Negative experience: Our agency relied on them to organize a trip to New York and the transfers from the airport to the hotel and vice versa. At the beginning of the tour, I informed the tour guide that I have a problem with my right leg that makes me walk more slowly and with a slight limp. As soon as we got off the bus in Little Italy, she yelled at me to speed up because otherwise I wouldn't see anything, and when I reminded her of my issue, she suggested 'cutting off my leg.' I felt like crying from the embarrassment she caused me!!! Additionally, I felt uncomfortable throughout the entire tour. I should mention that I am 37 years old and was on my honeymoon. To top it all off, on the day of departure, our transportation to the airport was supposed to arrive at 6 in the morning but instead showed up 45 minutes late (we had to take an Uber at our own expense).

Negative experience: Left alone at the airport saying that the driver had arrived but only waits 30 minutes. I say the time it takes for the plane to land, we get off, pick up the luggage, and look for the exit, don't count it, okay thanks for your efficiency to never see again.
