The waiting area was clean and comfortable. Easy check in. I was surprised to see all they did at this location and all they had to purchase. I like that my alignment came with a warranty.

Positive experience: Almost two hours for a State Inspection and I made sure to go in the middle of the month I’d be afraid to go at the end of the month! A member since 2015 might have proven to be irrelevant The check in/checkout process, however, went well.

Fantastic experience: Our service man Kevin Clark was absolutely phenomenal. He went above and beyond to help my young son and I when we were stranded on the side of the highway unexpectedly. He managed to fix a dispatching issue, keep me updated, remain pleasant and professional, and remedy our issue so towing was not required. I am so grateful to him! Thank you AAA!

Negative experience: Worst experience I have ever had with a shop. I expected a reputable shop who did good work but I was dead wrong. When I called about getting my work van repaired I stressed there was a leak coming from the front end and it looked like power steering fluid. It took all day Saturday to diagnose where the leak was coming from. The guy Aaron I was speaking with the whole time suggested I have to replace the Pittman arm along with the power steering box because it was all technically one piece. That’s a lie because I had just that same Pittman arm changed less than a year ago. The “mechanic” or “tech” who worked on my van did a terrible job. This guy had to have gotten certified at jiffy lube. The front end handled worse when I got it back after the repairs were made. He spilled power steering fluid all over my engine bay but mainly on the wire harnesses which pooled up on the front and on top of the frame. I pointed out the fact that there was a puddle of power steering fluid underneath when I went to pick it up. Aaron told me that I should power wash underneath when I get a chance to clean it up, like that was my responsibility. After spending over $1,200 you would expect to get back a clean vehicle and not have to do it yourself. There is power steering fluid covering everything. I know who to talk to when my van starts to have electrical issues from the fluid eating through the plastic and rubber. If you value your time and money do not take your vehicle to this joke of a shop. Abolsutely terrible business. Incompetence runs rampant at this place.

Negative experience: I had a very unsatisfactory experience with AAA Fredericksburg Tuesday April 9th 2024. I called for service for a battery light on my dashboard.I had driven from NY. I specifically asked for someone to come with a battery in case that was the issue. I was called on a robo call that told me my driver would be at my location by about 5:45 pm. That call came in at 5:40pm. I immediately went to my car to wait.and wait, and wait. Finally at about 7pm I called the service again and was told the driver was hung up on his previous call and was on his way to my location. Again I waited. He arrived at 8:25 pm at our location. He performed a few tests and had a few answers but he told my son he was a “ body guy” not a battery guy. I have been a member for over 20 years and have never had such a terrible experience. I never received a call to say he was delayed and never updated on his progress. As a visitor to Virginia I am extremely disappointed in the service. It left a very bad impression on me of AAA Fredericksburg.

Negative experience: Service takes too long as you are here all day!!! They informed me my transmission was about to go out and it's been 3 years since they told me that and I drive daily from Stafford to Manassas. Still working on issues. Need to work on the speed of service. I can walk in Honda with no appointment and be done and go.

Positive experience: Can get busy, recommend an appointment. Staff friendly and professional. They are able to help make sure you are prepared for travel and do more than just travel. Insurance, car repair, and more.

Fantastic experience: If you own a caravan that needs service, see Trevor at AAA. I own a 2014 caravan. It developed an oil leak. While in Pennsylvania, I took it to a dealership that rhymes with "bodge". 3k later, it still leaked. Was told by dealership that the leak was something different than what they fixed. Gave up on them. Now that I am in Fredericksburg, I took it to another "bodge" dealer. They said $1800 to fix a laundry list of items to cure Leak. Took van to AAA and they fixed it for half that amount. Turns out, Leak had nothing to do with what Pennsylvania or Fredericksburg dealers worked on / proposed ! Excellent work, AAA Fredericksburg! Fantastic experience: Aaron was just wonderful to work with. The car ended up needing much more work than we realized, but he kept us informed every step of the way. He was even very patient while we made decisions and sometimes changed our minds. I would bring any vehicle back here in a heartbeat.

Fantastic experience: Trevor at the AAA Car Care Center in Fredericksburg, VA is awesome! We stopped there when our truck started making a horrific noise. When we told Trevor we were on a road trip from NJ to NC, he took the truck right in. It was up and on the lift immediately and our truck was fixed our within an hour. We can not say enough good things about the team at AAA Car Care Center in Fredericksburg, VA!!

Positive experience: This location has always been a go to for vehicle inspections for me. They have a quick turn around and are very courteous. They have had a recent change to their inspection availability, no longer performing said work on Saturday's. However, the quality and the care is still good and their mechanics have sharp eyes.

Fantastic experience: Great service at a good price. Very clean and professional service bays, facilities, and personnel. Restaurants nearby while you wait. Update, women beware! While I had no problems my girlfriend just went for an oil change, free battery check and Free maintenance inspection. Her appointment was at 11:00 am and it took over 3 hours to finish. The service manager did not give her the Maintenace inspection report or battery check report so I suspect they did not perform the services and did not give her the discount for being a AAA member.

Negative experience: Never again and I'm fed up they can't fix my Dodge Mangum fuel pump and it's in the same spot from last night when I dropped it off this will be the 4th time bringing it back in 2 months Excuses.

Negative experience: Over 8 hour wait for 2 car inspections and we arrived before 8am when they opened. Price quotes are ridiculously high for parts that should have been about 1/4 th the cost quoted. This is the last time we use AAA for any automotive work. Staff are friendly, but corporate policies suck a$$.

Negative experience: Plan your trip (airfare, car rentals, hotels) elsewhere. What a grueling, painful experience this has been.This is NOT the AAA it was years ago. Save yourself hours of aggravation. See a professional travel agent. AAA is completely useless in this specialty.

Fantastic experience: My car wouldn’t start this morning. I was able to jump start it and drive to AAA in Fredericksburg. The shop was extremely busy, but Trevor and crew got me in and out in very reasonable time. My expectations were exceeded in every way-thank you!

Negative experience: Horrible experience with AAA. I got a flat in the middle of the night on my way out of town. The Plank rd facility was approx 2 miles away so the tow operator took my car there. These people scammed me out of my new tires that were on my car. I had recently replaced 2 tires. This plank rd AAA said I had to replace all the tires on my car because of this one flat tire, total $1500. Held my car hostage for 3 days. I was in a hotel waiting, I had to call several times a day to ask about my car. The last day before closing they said my car was ready. My 2018 Mercedes tire medallions were loose or missing. I get in my car to check the tire pressure and the tire pressure wasn’t balanced! They were trying to close the store! I called one of the men outside to ask about the tire pressure. He had my Mercedes medallion in his hand and asked if I wanted it glued back on!! Huh!! The response about the tire pressure being off was, YOU HAVE A SLOW LEAK…WTF You just replaced all my tires with inferior tires and the one tire that was supposed to be fixed has a slow leak. I was boiling mad! I just gave you 1500 and you did nothing but steal my good tires! I had to leave because I had an event that I was late to because they kept my car for 3 days for one flat. The worst experience ever. I canceled my membership

Negative experience: Spent over 20 minutes on hold (twice) just trying to speak with maintenance department to schedule an appointment for some vasic maintenance. So much for my membership.

Fantastic experience: We were treated with care and kindness from the minute we arrived. They helped our family find a place to stay for the night and suggested a place to eat. They looked at our vehicle in reasonable time, we’re thorough and didn’t suggest unnecessary repairs. It ended up costing us nothing for the tow and inspection because of our AAA (CAA) membership. We were on our way in good time during the beginning of a family vacation. Our breakdown made it very stressful, but they looked after us. A big shoutout to Carlos and Sammye, who were our main points of contact. They kept us informed and were very knowledgeable. They reduced our stress by looking after us. Thanks so much for your kindness and professionalism.

I’m from out of state, so I have no knowledge of shops in the area. This shop is definitely where my truck needed to be!! I am so thankful for the service I received!! Thank you!

Negative experience: Very upset with this establishment, was quoted one price over the phone and when I arrived for my appointment, was told that the given quote was wrong. I was then quoted a price way more expensive than the dealership quote that I recently received. This is the second time this year that this has occurred to me with this business. Clients beware, they are either price gouging or their customer service reps have no idea what they are doing!!!!! VERY UPSET CUSTOMER!!!!

Fantastic experience: First class service and experience. I literally drove 30min because that's how good the people and services are here. Plenty of parking and shopping and help by the staff. They even helped us with passport photos!

Positive experience: (I'm only giving this 3 stars just because of Aaron who was polite and assisted me over the phone) AAA has become a scam anymore. I had my 99 Chevy towed here to have the battery looked at, tested and possibly replaced. The battery is 3 years old and it died on me last Tuesday in the parking lot at Royal Farms. Instead they looked at the alternator and my front brakes and gave me a quote for $400. At that point, I said to just leave the keys in the truck along with the quote, I'll be by to pick it up. I've got a new battery in it (decided to pay $200 for it at autozone) and I have had no issues. I would not trust AAA with my vehicles anymore unless I need to be towed somewhere.

Fantastic experience: OMG, this place is amazing! My husband takes his car there and if there is a problem, they fix it!! Moderate in price and good people. They will owe up to anything that fails and make it right. They have proved that with us. Very honest place. My husband had been very happy with them. Try, what do you have to lose!??

Fantastic experience: I needed an international driving permit which is only provided by the local AAA service center. The experience was great. No wait, no fuss and superb customer service. I also appreciated that it didn’t matter whether you were a member or not. I highly recommend stopping by the AAA Fredericksburg center for any travel needs.

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough about the experience I had when my car broke down halfway from Baltimore to Virginia Beach. I had my son and our puppy with us and they made us feel so welcome it made our bad experience into a heartwarming and welcoming one. Kristen was literally on the floor playing with the puppy, everyone had great recommendations for Towing companies, hotels, and answers to all my silly little questions. I cannot thank these people enough for turning our whole day of what could have been full of impatience and anxiety into an easy, welcoming, and wonderful experience. Hopefully my car does not break down again, but I do plan on stopping in to say hello when we decide to travel that way again. I honestly felt like I made friends that day in a town that I never had intentions on stopping at.

Positive experience: The AAA auto repair today redeemed themselves. Trevor the store manager made the right call to correct my problem that I felt very unfair to be charged something that I thought the mechanic broke while fixing my car for an oil change. Trevor was actually patient with me an angry customer. He made things right by fixing the problem and not charging me for the work. I really felt they were at fault and I was glad he was willing to see that I was furious and fixed the problem with no charge. I will check every day that my car is running well. I will keep you updated. I thank you Trevor.

Negative experience: Stopped by at 5:15 to get some assistance on a rental car. I was told all agents were leaving for the day. One had just finished helping someone. They are open until 6 and on the door says come in we are here to help. Not the first time this has happened. I have to work and can't get there till after 5.

Negative experience: Ref 100278 stuck on the highway for 15 hours with no tow trucks under contract to pick up cars. Terrible service. Beware Beware. Andrea richmond supervisor can't help because Aaa doesn't have tow trucks who will move vehicles at there discount rate. Beware

Negative experience: What a bunch of dopes. So, I get a voice mail asking I return a call about my membership. She doesn’t leave an extension or last name (which factors into this). I return the call and the response system asks for the extension which I wasn’t given. So then it says I can say the name. I try this three times and it never recognizes her name. Then the system says to spell the name, LAST name first, a name I wasn’t given! I gave up and now wonder if there’s any adult supervision at this branch.

Dawn was an absolute rock star and an actual angel. If not for her, I don’t think I could have held it together under the stress. She kept me informed on every step and was so kind. In fact, everyone I talked to there was so kind! 10/10, would highly recommend to anyone in the Fredericksburg area.

Negative experience: Called and asked if they did notary for out of state title transfers and they assured me they did. Drove there to be told in person that while they COULD do the notary, they choose not to. It was an uncomfortable and disappointing visit to this AAA location. Staff was abrasive and unfriendly. Added a star only because while the employee was rude, she did tell me to go to the library which does actually do notary services free of charge.

Fantastic experience: This location provided stellar customer service that exceeded my expectations. My vehicle had been sitting for many months and needed a variety of repairs in order to pass inspection. The employees displayed both professionalism and compassion. They worked with me and allowed me to make a deposit towards repairs and pay the remaining balance over an extended period of time while they ordered the parts, waited for them to arrive, and performed the work. Dawn, in particular, was my point of contact throughout this process. She kept me up-to-date on repair status, offered a payment arrangement, and made sure to provide me with receipts of all of my payments towards the balance until it was completed, for my own records. She navigated the entire process with honesty and integrity. When Dawn was not present, her coworkers and supervisors demonstrated the same level of service and care. I highly recommend them to any one who is in need of friendly, compassionate service by experienced, industry professionals.

She helped answer our questions and complete what we needed to ensure our coverage was appropriate and what we needed. I was very impressed with her attentiveness, and grateful. Rica is definitely an asset to this office and the AAA corporation.

Negative experience: Zero stars. MOST IMPORTANTLY not for the location however yes for the service of AAA because of them banning my family home.adress and myself. Furthermore discriminating anyone with any relation ties or even claims to know me. Denying them a membership and kicking out a membership simply for having known me etc. SIMPLY MODERN DISCRIMINATION AND SEGREGATION BASED ON ME USING THE MEMBERSHIP IN THE PAST WELL OVER 5 YEARS AGO, FOR THIS I'M STILL BASICALLY EXCOMMUNICATED. WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO FIND A MORE UNPROFESSIONAL AND HEARTBREAKING ORGANIZATION WHO CLAIMS TO BE A CHARITY. PUNISHING PEOPME FOR USING THE SERVICE THEY CLAIM TO PROVIDE, WITH THE RUSE OF ABUSE OF TOWES. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL, DISAPPOINTING FOR UNFAIR AND UNLAWFUL PRACTICES AGAINST CITIZENS TREATING US LIKE SCUM OF THE EARTH.
