He has gone as far as to pay for every repair since my first visit. 2. The store has always taken my car in the next day or the same day when I call them and get my car back to me within the same day of dropping it off. Here’s been my experience thus far: I’ve had my Jeep into the AAA on Kildaire in Cary on 5 separate occasions in 5 weeks since 7/12/2023. Upon my first visit, I received a seemingly trigger-happy diagnostic, when only bringing it in needing a brake job. I was upsold on an Engine Cooling System Service ($169.99), “Remove and Replace Thermostat” ($416.97), Tune Up ($660.93), Platinum Fuel Service ($199.99), and Remove and Replace Oil Filter Housing & Or Gasket ($900.98). My initial visit to what I was expecting to be a routine brake job turned into a $3,363.37 bill. To my surprise - driving my Jeep the next day, I was still having issues with my brakes, which clearly shows not only did they get trigger-happy with my diagnostic, they didn’t actually test drive my vehicle to see if they fixed the problem I came in with originally. I called them up after a few days of debating what to do, spoke with Damon, and brought the jeep back 8 days later on 7/20 (thurs) where Damon happily fixed the issues with the brakes and didn’t charge me for it. 4 days later, after a long weekend out of town and not driving the vehicle, I crank up the Jeep on Monday 7/24 with a check engine light on. Brought it in on Tuesday 7/25 and Damon again happily fixed the issue. I received a “Remove Replace Purge Hose” which solved the issue temporarily. Another week later, another check engine light. Again, Damon, slightly more disgruntled, understandably, fixed the issue at no charge to me. I received a “Diagnostic Service - Fuel Vapor Leak Detection Pump”. Damon showed me the part that was broken and assured me that this would solve the problem. I joked with him that “I’d be a paying customer the next time he saw me”, to make light of the situation, assuming this had to be it. I now sit here on 8/8 with another appointment scheduled for Wednesday 8/9 for my 5th visit in 5 weeks with another check engine light. The issue I am having is obviously not with money, because they’ve done the right thing up to this point. The problem I am having is there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight. The issues still have not been resolved and I do not feel like it’s fair to me to have to bring it somewhere else (Jeep) and be charged diagnostics and additional costs to fix problems that didn’t otherwise exist. I’m sure it’s only a matter of time that they will no longer take me as a customer and leave me with, what I am assuming will be, a large bill to overhaul the evap/emissions system entirely, since they are not been able to identify/diagnose anything properly, not even my brake job to start with. I hope someone from higher up steps in to help Damon because I’m sure he is sick of dealing with me. I hate writing this review in the first place because I know this is exactly what he’s trying to prevent but I feel like my hands are tied. My preferred solution would be if AAA would take my car for as long as needed to ACTUALLY fix it. It would be appreciated if it would be covered considering the hassle I’ve now gone through, but I really honestly wouldn’t mind covering some of the costs. I just want my car fixed. As the slogan on my receipts say - “ONE TIME, ON TIME, COURTEOUS HONEST REPAIRS”. Backstory - I bought my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee (now 90k miles) as a certified pre-owned in 2017 and have never had any check engine lights or issues outside of routine maintenance. I have also been a AAA customer since I had my first car in highschool, so 10+ years, despite not being a AAA member.

That store is a joke and the manager Rick is useless! After taking my Jeep back to Glenwood to correct the issue (I was obviously still under warranty) the technician simply stated that they "could not replicate the noise!" I specifically asked Rick that if I heard the noises again could I bring my car back to him so that they can warranty replace my parts and he vehemently told me "no!" He tried to convince me that I needed to wait until 25-30K miles to allow my brakes pads to "mesh." After that interaction I was DONE! It didnt make any sense to me to have to wait until the warranty almost EXPIRED (@ 36K miles) to "see if the noise still happens." I no longer trusted Rick (the manager) or their technicians, so I went to AAA Kildaire (which is about 30 minutes away from my home) and surprisingly I was immediately welcomed with pleasant professionalism, and between Damon and Maurice, I felt that I had nothing to worry about! Their knowledge and understanding of vehicles and more importantly, their passion to help their customers blew me away. So I took another chance on AAA and from here on out, I will ONLY go to AAA Kildaire! I highly recommend this store, especially if you value integrity and respect. Just ask for Damon or Maurice and I guarantee you that they will change your perception of automotive customer service!

After they checked it and did the diagnostics, they told me the engine could not be fixed and I needed to get it replaced, and the price tag for that would be $9500. Positive experience: Went in for a standard oil change/tire rotation. 2 weeks later 3 of my 4 hubcaps are gone, lost while driving, after never having any issue with them before in the 4 years I've owned this car. Update: Was contacted within 24 hours about my issue and they have covered the replacements, so I'm changing this to 4 stars as they resolved the issue promptly to my satisfaction.

Negative experience: I recently had my vehicle towed by AAA to a AAA recommended car care center (AAA Car Care Center Colonades Way, Cary, NC). After diagnosing the issue with my vehicle, the tech called me and said that the engine was blown, both catalytic converters were in pieces, the manifold was in pieces, and the total replacement cost was $4,000. The tech recommended that I sell the car for parts to a junk yard and it only has 55k miles on it. That is more than the car is worth so I decided to get a 2nd opinion. After the 2nd opinion: I only have ONE catalytic converter and it was in good condition, the manifold was fine and the engine was NOT blown. $700 later I drove the car home and it runs great. Please do not take your vehicle here. I paid them $150 to completely misdiagnose my car that could have cost me thousands.

Fantastic experience: 5/5 stars for customer service. the entire team at this location has always been courteous and professional, but this particular time i want to give a review. i went in for car care on a monday and they took care of my car. my battery light went on friday and my car broke down so i went back to AAA on saturday so they could take a look. they quickly assessed the situation and my water pump broke and caused the serpentine belt to fall off. unfortunately the part wasn't readily available so they had to keep my car until monday to fix it. i pick up my car monday and as i am driving to work i hear a noise when i hit the brakes. i get concerned because i am returning back to AAA for a 3rd time in 9 days. when i arrive at AAA and tell them about my brakes, James Stephens handled the situation very professionally. i was frustrated at not understanding what was going on with my car. after assessment he (and the technician) assured me it wasn't a safety issue but normal wear-and-tear on my car. James then spent at least 20 additional minutes answer my questions so i could better understand (1)why this wasn't caught at the car care safety inspection (because what broke is either not a problem or it is a problem) and (2)what parts were making noise when i hit the brakes. he even spent additional time giving advice on if i should buy a new car or keep this one around. i appreciate his attention to detail and professional customer service. I felt they were fair in their pricing, honest and very nice. I would highly recommend this Car Care Center and will go back again for future auto repairs without hesitation. Fantastic experience: I had a flat and AAA call center highly recommended them. They are definitely knowledgeable and will for sure tell you, text you everything possibly wrong with your car. You will be informed if your car is older like mine. I have an older Honda that has high miles but still a good car. If you a branf new car you will be ecstatic due to fact that there are few issues to address. My car is old and I am on a budget so could only do a few things. Two tire replacements were 100 higher than my last purchase of two tires at another local place but I was strapped on time so let him charge me the extra 100 for tires that he had available. Knowledgeable staff for sure and the minute you walk in be prepared to pay 39 if brand car for oil change or 2000 for old car issues. Have money or go to alternative places. They do do good work though so still 5 stars. I am not rich tho so I have to seek alternative.

Fantastic experience: The staff at AAA Kildare was exceptional. The communication was great, the service was top notch. I had an emergency car repair and they squeezed me in with no issues. Negative experience: DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! Do not trust AAA for more than a tire change on the side of the highway. My car had a slightly loud noise coming from the right front tire area. I took it into AAA to get their thoughts and they convinced me that I needed a new transmission that would cost me almost $7,000.00. I immediately knew that didn't sound right. I took it to two other shops to get their opinion and was told by both of them that it was the wheel bearing. $200 out the door and my car sounds and drives perfectly now. Thank goodness I trusted my gut and not the "mechanics" at AAA. I would also like to note that this is not the first time I have had an issue here. Would recommend looking elsewhere!

Positive experience: I went there to have two tires with slow leaks repaired. However I received a list of recommended repairs and a recommendation that all four tires should be replaced. I went over the list of recommendations with the clerk and she showed me the tire wear so the tire replacement recommendations appeared to be legit. However, their part and labor prices even with my AAA membership are higher than other merchants so I declined their services. They put my car back together and didn't charge for their inspection which was nice.
