Seema Page An Indian Grocery store at Page Ave: Reviews
Fantastic experience: It was my first time in an Indian grocery store. The lady working quickly helped me find everything on my shopping list and recommended where to go for the item they didn't carry. It seems like everything comes in large quantities but the prices are very fair considering how much you get.
Negative experience: Worst Indian grocery store ever! Most of the products here are expired or leaking condition. I even found flies inside some items. The management was so rude and unprofessional. Please never buy any products from them!! Personal experience!
Fantastic experience: Only place we buy Indian groceries. Friendly people and always top notch quality goods.
Fantastic experience: Very nice people
Positive experience: Got a lot of good stuff but not laid out well.
Negative experience: They’re just running this store for fun. Expensive - Expired - Irresponsible
Fantastic experience: Even though it is a small store, found all the items we needed. Staff(Hrushikesh Reddy) was very friendly and helped us to find our stuff quickly.
Fantastic experience: This is a really good store I got stuff to make a rice ball and the rice ball was good and the employees are nice. They have good stuff there.
Negative experience: They overcharge, sell expired items, prices are not properly labelled, and the cashier lady, helping staff are arrogant and cocky.
Fantastic experience: Good grocery store with variety. Close proximity to the area we were . Good people who mange it . I recommend them
Negative experience: ALERT: This store has many expired frozen foods, try to check the expiry date before you buy. I complained to the store owner about a Frozen pulp, but they are least bothered about my issue.
Positive experience: Food was good, atmosphere and people were nice, but two problems: Too spicy, very little amount of protein! In my chicken Tikka I found only 3 very small pieces of chicken, and in goat stew 4 very tiny pieces of goat!
Negative experience: Most of the grocery item is expired make sure to watch expired date before you buy the items. Also they have wipes down expired date and selling expired items. I will not return to this store again. I would highly recommend go somewhere else.12/03/2022
Negative experience: I would give half star if its available. Many items are expired and they still try to sell. No prices on the items. Very rude lady at the register. Becareful what you buy here.
Fantastic experience: Awesome place, great food selections
Fantastic experience: I found all sorts of spices
Positive experience: Nice friendly staff thank you.
Fantastic experience: Good place to buy south asian spices. I'm from Sri Lanka. Bought grated coconut, curry leaves, samosa and etc. Very helpful staff.....
Fantastic experience: They carry various ranges of Indian spices and foods
Negative experience: Prices are not properly labeled. And when asked about the prices, especially the lady who works there is really rude. Most items are expired. Very poor customer service. If we buy less than 10$ they will ask for cash and behave like customer is doing something bad . The lady has very bad attitude, very poor customer service.
Fantastic experience: Awesome place
Negative experience: 30% of my grocery items were well above the expiration date (from months to a whole year) Fungal growth on sweets was clearly visible. Shop manager discarded the stock after I reported. I don’t give negative reviews for small local businesses. But for food items, stringent regulations should be at place. Sorry I will never return to this place again.
Negative experience: The owner lady takes everything so easy. They were selling expired tea, manufactured in Nov 2021 and good for 12 months. When I pointed that out and asked if they had newer bags her reply was, "Oh! We eat it, nothing happens. You will be fine." Their store should be shut.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful Store
Positive experience: Good store. Seems isolated. There should be more like this. St Louis needs more of this good stuff.
Fantastic experience: Good Indian store
Fantastic experience: Very friendly and helpful
Positive experience: Seems like a great assortment of ready-made food and cooking supplies. My only complaint is during my visit I found several items being sold that were past their expiration date. Just be careful of what you buy.
Fantastic experience: Warm and friendly staff, and they always have what I'm looking for
Negative experience: I pointed out an error while the lady behind the counter was checking my items out, probably a mix-up between different bar codes, but she got offended by that. She cleared out all the items and then started from the very beginning, showing me the items as if I accused her of trying to scam me or something. So should I pay for something that I do not have, and just pay for it without pointing out just so you would not feel bad? Never going back. Everyone makes mistakes. Don't have to get offended if someone points them out.
Fantastic experience: One of the absolute best places in St. Louis to buy spices.
Fantastic experience: Indian grocery at good rates
Fantastic experience: So many wonderful seasoning and food items! Very reasonably priced and they were very friendly!
Fantastic experience: Always stocked to the gills! Friendly and helpful staff! I love having this store in my neighborhood.
Fantastic experience: Very convenient!
Positive experience: Small and good place!!
Positive experience: Good Indian grocery store with lots of brands and options available and a friendly staff. The only reason i will not give them 5 stars is because some of the stuff is already expired and they still keep them in shelves to sell. so we need to check expiry of items especially big packets.
Fantastic experience: They have reasonable prices, dont sell expired products. The shop is very well organized. Have a separate vegetables section. Great experience
Positive experience: Very good India and Pakistani grocery store in Manchester area clean and price is also good. Monday and Friday they bring fresh vegetables and snacks items like samosas cachori and dhoklas. Store owners are very friendly and they help you to find your items for any specific puja or festival. I think one of the old and honest store.
Thanks

Fantastic experience: I can't say that I am Indian but do appreciate the Somosa's on the weekend and still THE place to get Thumb's Up cola! Want to remember what sodas tasted like before high fructose corn syrup became the norm? This is where you need to come and plan on buying a case, I have several times!

Fantastic experience: This is a great place for shopping Indian stuffs. There is a large variety of almost everything and the people here are really warm and helpful!
Thanks !!
Positive experience: Yes, good
Fantastic experience: Very helpful and friendly staff.
Fantastic experience: Best and oldest Indian grocery store in STL!
Negative experience: STORE CLOSING? I have been there twice this week to look for a product and was told twice to go to other location in maryland heights even they were out of it. It happened twice both times same answer. The store is completely empty and filled with expired products. There are just stacks of rice and atta every where with markdown prices not sure if they are expired. I had to finally drive half hour to go to the seema location in ballwin, was glad I did and the lady at the counter was really helpful and helped me find all products. The owner at this store is really rude and doesn't know how to respect customers. Stay away from this store.
Positive experience: I'm just happy that I got an answer to my question.
Fantastic experience: Best place for real spices!
Fantastic experience: Really nice people
Fantastic experience: Very friendly atmosphere, all the right stuff, and ,if they don't have it,they will order it for you ,thank you.
Thanks for your support.
Positive experience: Excellent prices on beans and grains.
Fantastic experience: Go to one stop shop for all things Indian. Friendly helpful staff too.
Thanks
Positive experience: I gave it three stars because they make you buy up to 10 dollars to accept card payments. They don't allow card payments below 10 dollars. That's inconvenient.
Sorry for inconvenience Sir but keep our cc charge cost down we do request min $10 purchase for credit cards. These days so many small businesses has same requirements.
Fantastic experience: Great store, friendly people
Fantastic experience: Excellent grocer for Southern Indian cooking needs. Gorgeous spices, reasonably priced, and sensibly packaged. Home style chapati bread. The shopkeeper, Mr. Ashwin Patel, was helpful and charming. Shop is clean and organized. Will return again and again.
Thanks
Positive experience: So i went there to buy particular good but one old indian man came to me and asked if i need any help to find anything. So till then it was fine, later when i asked if they have the product for other brand he was so offended saying that other brand is not good and most probably it’s not even genuine and all that. I had to buy anyway coj all the other asian stores were closed by then. 3 star just because their samosas were decent.
Positive experience: Large selection and friendly staff.
Positive experience: Groceries n daily use food items are available at reasonable rates. Just that I had bought fafda on my first visit and asked the cashier if it was fresh n he said yes it’s fresh take it but once I reached home n tasted it had the bad smell of the store. Once you enter the store there is a typical smell which had stayed in the fafda so basically it was old stock. Otherwise all other items I purchased were good as they were all packed items with expiry dates.
Fantastic experience: Clean and well organized.
Fantastic experience: Good one
Fantastic experience: Good place
Positive experience: This place is not cheap and sometimes you'll be sold expired stuff. Better check the expiry date before you buy any of the packed items.
Negative experience: The prices are posted different from what they billed, especially toor dal, urad dal. I live in Evansville and after coming back I came to know that. Also the Mantra organic products are expired in Jan 2018 and saw them on the shelves with $2 off which is not good. Also the flours have no date on them, which says 3months from packaging
Fantastic experience: Good Indian grocery store, good customer service!
Negative experience: Wouldn't visit again if I get the choice. A little expensive compared to other Indian grocery stores in a 10 mile range. Didn't offer savings even on bills exceeding $250. (Bombay Bazaar did so voluntarily)
Positive experience: Nice place and friendly people at Seema!
Positive experience: Good grocery stocks for India food.
Positive experience: Really good store which has almost everything we need.
Positive experience: Has the essential things you need.
Positive experience: They are very polite, but they should focus on more fresh vegetables.
Positive experience: Very friendly, and good prices.
Positive experience: Well maintained Indian store. Friendly and responsive staff. Larger than an average Indian store. Offers a lot of items and quality is good. All cards are accepted.
Fantastic experience: Great one of the oldest store in town. Great employees. I found the rice bags at this store.
Positive experience: Small Indian spice store. Nothing much to expect other then all the Indian spice needs for kitchen.
Positive experience: Good store for the Indian groceries
Thanks
Positive experience: Good place for Indian or Pakistani products including spices and Foods. Well established store and it also has a travel agency attached run by the same folks. Reasonable prices and a good selection.
Thanks for kind words. customers like you are backbone of our success.
Fantastic experience: Huge selection. A+
Fantastic experience: Probably the best locally owned Indian Grocery Store in STL. The owner and his staff are very friendly and the quality of the food is superb. We do Indian Dinners once a month in my family and we always go to Seema! If you are eating FRESH AUTHENTIC Indian food once once a month or once a day, get it from Seema!
Fantastic experience: Theyre so nice! Complimentary chai and a great variety of products/spices/foods. Love this shop.
Fantastic experience: Amazing hidden gem! I’ve driven by it a million times and never stopped because I am not familiar with Indian food! This place is so much more! The fresh produce is better quality and better priced than large chain grocery stores. The staff is so friendly and helpful! I never write reviews, but this place is amazing! I will be back many, many times.
Negative experience: I think the owner of the shop has forgotten that he is in the market to serve customers. Person at the reception is very rude when I complained about the veggies in the store. he thinks that he is selling items for free and we shouldn't complain in case of issues in items we buy.
Negative experience: very poor quality material at Dorsett Rd seema, the owner doesn't know how to deal with the client, upon complaining on quality of britania biscuit he started arguing with me and argued like how the street people in india argue, The Seema at manchester is way better
Fantastic experience: Lots of items
Fantastic experience: Seema is a strictly Indian foods grocer. From that perspective they have everything you could want (and more) for Indian cooking. The staff is friendly and helpful, always ready to answer questions. They stock many brands of the same product, so you can choose your favorite. They have fresh veggies which are very good. The display case for them was recently updated and is now refrigerated. They also have a cold case for yogurt and the like. Finally, they have a large variety of frozen foods of all sorts; veggies, breads, snacks, entrees, etc. I go once a week and I live in the CWE.
Thanks
Fantastic experience: The best Indian grocery store in town. Honest pricing, fresh vegetables , great staff. Very helpful. Anything you need you will find it here. Clean store and good customer service. The oldest and friendliest indian store in town.
Fantastic experience: I have only been here once, but I plan on returning. I was very impressed with the quality of fresh produce & herbs. I came here looking for fresh Turmeric & was amazed at the variety of products inside such a small store. While some things seem expensive to me, others seem inexpensive.
Positive experience: It's okay for Indian n Pak grocery
Fantastic experience: Very good fresh fruit and vegetables......
