Negative experience: the service was prompt however, the lady with the shoulder length blondish hair needs to learn NOT to smile like she's enjoying denying service do to missing documents and then condescendingly making you feel stupid while she tells you its ALL outlined on the document (which is very busy & confusing) & is sent to you a whole month prior to expiration! there was also an irate customer that she failed miserably at defusing.

Negative experience: Will probably not go back there. AAA made me give them my license but NOT for verification. The guy inputted all my info into AAA computer. When I asked why he said his higher ups said he had to.

Fantastic experience: Extremely friendly staff, like, I almost want to apply for a job there, thats how relaxed/ accommodating they were. Made an appointment the day before to renew my license and ended being 15 mins late because of work. No problem to them. Thought it would cost 8 bucks extra because it wasn't the Dmv, turns out to be $6, because I'm a AAA member. But honestly, I was in and out in less than 15 mins, I woulda paid 20. Great people here. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Staff here are wonderful, friendly and great to work with. I'm a AAA member and renewed my driver's license here, made appointment and it took me 10 min. to complete. Compare that to 2 hours at the DMV the last time I renewed it there!

Fantastic experience: Called ahead regarding replacement license. Was close to closing time but still close by. I was able to get my licenses replaced quickly. They were very professional and accommodating. They were respectful of me my time and even was accommodating to my Black Lab. They were friendly and helpful. Beware: Drivers license cameras are unflattering no matter where you get your license. Don't blame the camera person

Fantastic experience: My daughter came to get a replacement license but while waiting in line, passed out & hit her head. The staff went above & beyond calling ambulance & taking care of her until i was able to get there! She said "one woman was holding me so tight, hugging & keeping me calm, i felt very safe." Thank you to all those there that day!!

Negative experience: Notary service should be a public service, not for profit, and UNBIASED. Greedy manager of locak AAA office believes to make a profit. She charged me $30 for a notary which, I never paid in my life (65)for notarizing. The girl who helped was very polite. Thank you !

Confident, knowledgeable staff there conduct themselves and their services with professionalism, efficiency, and accuracy. The store’s environment was/is very clean. Social distancing is easy to maintain there as well. Easy to reach them on the phone

Negative experience: I had the worst case scenario in AAA's history they are absolutely incompetent I had nothing but problems for the last few years. All they do is pass u to someone every time Corporate is 10 times worse when old saybrook but some of the people are very good in saybrook

Negative experience: Really didn't want to have to since it's such a convenient idea, but if they never actually help you when you call for roadside assistance what are you paying for??? Locked my keys in my running car, called and was told 40 mins, then 2 hrs, then 3 hours later I call and turns out that dispatch NEVER SENT MY ISSUE TO A LOCAL TOW COMPANY!! My car sat running for over 3 hours while waiting for a guy who was IN TOWN THE ENTIRE TIME simply because AAA never sent the service request to them.

I showed up to renew my license without an appointment and the woman who helped me was extremely gracious in allowing me to get my renewal done that day. I so appreciate the staff, their kindness, and compassion for me. In the midst of this life altering pandemic I was shown a true light today from the staff a AAA in Old Saybrook! Thank you for working so hard and providing this service!

Fantastic experience: Because of the new (and RIGID) requirements for a "Real ID" license, I was unable to provide the documents needed for renewal. I had a passport, a Marine Corps DD214, a copy of my birth certificate, and mail showing my address in Connecticut. I have also been certified for TSA Pre boarding. However, because the State of CT DMV hadn't included BOTH my middle names on my drivers license, I didn't qualify. And because I didn't have my ORIGINAL birth certificate with a seal, and my ORIGINAL Social Security Card, I was out of luck. This is a moronic system, but Janna at AAA was VERY HELPFUL in explaining the issues and sorting out the process. Consequently, I'm giving AAA 5 STARS (and the DMV none)!

Fantastic experience: Best place to get your CT license renewed. You do have to make an appointment though. They can even do the verified license. Make sure you have all the documentation though.
