Negative experience: Scam. You book online and then they call you a day later saying you don’t have a ticket and are on standby only. They demand double what the airline would have charged and refused to refund. Seriously stay away! Learned my lesson!

Negative experience: The most ridiculous scam attempt I have ever seen. I bought the tickets from them and they sent me a confirmation email stating that airline approval was required. I checked my account and they had not charged me. I immediately blocked my card and called them. They told me that the price had gone up a little from $302 to $850. I told them that they were abusive scammers. They immediately tried to charge me, which the bank blocked. Good try, fair buddies. Never buy tickets from them, they will rob you!

Negative experience: SCAM Alert!!!! Sells tickets that are on waiting lists without checkin item that are nonrefundable. Then goes ahead and send you to a call center in India to attempt to upsell you a guaranteed seat and checkin for nearly double the price. Buyer beware!!!

One you book a flight they will call you within 5 minutes and take for more money or alternative flights with higher price saying that the airline could not offer the flight booked. When you do not agree to go with their ask they threaten you that you agreed to cancel your ticket and will not get any refund. Maria, you should be ashamed of yourself!

They dnt return the money. In USA they know the peoples that they are lazy and wont take them to court. They are taking advantage of scamming people.

She followed through to the end in regard to getting us our tickets and seats, albeit at the much higher price She is the only reason I am giving a good review. The company itself is not ethical and is only out to scam you. They sell you tickets at a low price and call to tell you one or both tickets are not available at that price, after they have already charged you. Then they refuse to refund you your money, so you are forced to pay a much higher price, higher than other companies. DO NOT USE FAREFINDERS IF YOU WANT TO BE DEALT WITH HONESTLY.

Negative experience: This company is a scam, their tactic is bate and switch, they never honor reservation, they send you and email letting you think reservation is complete but in small writing underneath they state it isn't. They'll call you a short time after and try and charge you more then double the original quote, very frustrating as you have to restart search again. THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!!!!!!

I bought 3 tickets and then they called me saying that the promotional price was no longer valid and that if I wanted to travel I had to pay the excess which was double. I demanded that they return my money and they said no because the policy said no refund of the money.

When speaking with the fraud dept of my ccd company, they are well aware of this company and how they operate. I wish I'd taken a moment to Google for reviews before I used them.

Negative experience: I do not recommend FareBuddies (FB). The reviews saying this is a scam are correct but I got lucky. Don’t risk booking through them unless you are willing to risk your hard earned money. Essentially what FB does is call you back a few days after you think you have paid for and booked your ticket to swindle you for more money saying you are on stand by or your departure is confirmed but not your return. After booking, at the end of the online session you see a professional looking confirmation with a FB generated confirmation number. But you do not get an email from the airline confirming your itinerary. Big red flag. This alarmed me & I called FB and they said I should be patient that the airline needs to process my request. But FB gave me a confirmation # so why does the airline need time to process? Makes zero sense. I booked at midnight. In the morning, still no email confirmation. I call FB again and they are saying things that don’t line up. While on the phone with FB, I call my bank and they have not seen an authorization request for the fare. Weird right? But FB gave me a confirmation #. Thinking I got lucky since the bank didn’t authorize the purchase, the bank’s advice is to close the credit card which I did. The next morning I check my credit card and the purchase is actually authorized by the bank even though my card was supposedly closed. It shows the charge coming directly from the airline. I called the airline. They found my reservation and gave me their locator number and confirmed my email address. Here is the kicker, the email the airline had for me was not an email I recognized. I gave them mine and they sent me my itinerary. This is two days after the online purchase. Today, 5 days after the purchase, I get the call I referenced above, (and other reviewers have described) from FB saying that my booking hasn’t gone through. They said so many different things in the same conversation as to why my ticket was not booked by the airline, it was really something to behold. In my case they tried to get an additional $160 to “ensure the airline can issue my ticket”. Meanwhile I have my booking confirmed by the airline. I am assuming the extra $160 they pocket and the funds that I gave them in my original booking goes directly to the airline. Somehow the bogus email is the diverter so that the customer doesn’t receive anything from the airline. The customer buys into the story Farebuddies is feeding them (essentially that their ticket is not issued). Customers are likely threatened that they will loose their original funds because airlines don’t provide refunds. Customers freak they pay the extra money in exchange for the airline confirmation. Even though I did not get burned by FB, I will not use them again. Buyer be ware. I do not recommend them. Can you imagine being.a farebuddies employee and scamming people for a living? They are quite aggressive; they must be on commission and get a cut of the extra funds they bring in. Zero integrity.

Negative experience: Scam scam scam run if u can because I was fool to make a reservation with them first they show they have tickets on their website than when u book they called you and tell you that they don’t have seats on that flight and than they will make ask more money to upgrade otherwise the original payment is gonna be wasted so that’s the trap they used on each and everyone I just wish I came here earlier I was the person who buy even smallest thing after reviews and this time I got scammed on a big amount I wish I can give them stars in negative authorities should take stand for their frauds please if anyone know any way come and help others so that they can be saved from their frauds please saying again stay away from them I did learn from my side please listen me and others to save yourself

Negative experience: BAIT AND SWITCH!!!!! DO NOT USE THEM!!!! HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!! Bought a round-trip ticket with layovers. Company called me about 5 minutes after the purchase. I was then informed that all tickets were one-way tickets on standby. They informed me that they had not purchased any tickets yet and started to offer me other options that were unacceptable to my plans. I went through people asking for a refund, which they would not provide even though I did not yet have a round-trip ticket, as they were trying to sell me other options. Finally, I did end up with a ticket for $232 more than I would have paid if I went straight to the airline!!!! They made you sign in an email that you accepted the new ticket/price before even buying the ticket. But less than losing all the money they had already taken from me!!! Negative experience: Scammers. I have agreed to purchase 3 airline tickets via Farebuddies for $613.26. A few minutes after I agreed to this purchase, I received a call from Farebuddies stating that the price went up $978.96. I asked for a refund but was told that all tickets are non-refundable even if the price changes. This is absolutely ridiculous. What does prevent this company from scamming people from charging any amount they want if, after they provide one price, they can change it any way they want.

Negative experience: Thai site is totally scam. Be aware and stay away from these guys. They posted very low fare and take your credit card. But did not issue. Any tickets . They will call you sooner and take for more money or alternative flights with higher price. When you do not agree to go with their ask they threaten you that you agreed to cancel your ticket and will not get any refund. Basically they will take more money from you either way and give you very hard time. They will charge you and not issue any tickets. End of the story do not buy and speed the word so other can not got in to their scam. Again I say, DONOT PAY THEM, YOU ARE NOT GETTING ANY SERVICE FROM THEM. JUST DON’T.

Negative experience: Whatever you do, do not use these guys. I don’t spend a lot of time writing reviews, but I do read them, and after my experience with this company, I had to write one. You would be a complete fool to do business with them. Just pay extra and go somewhere else and avoid the headaches. They screwed up my reservation so badly that I had to buy another ticket just to make it home in time. I filed a complaint with a Better Business Bureau because of the horrible, incompetent, and fraudulent service.

Negative experience: This is a mixed review. My reservation started well, but I soon got an urgent email that Farebuddies could not acquire the return flight that I had reserved. I was concered that this travel service was a scam, but ultimately I was able to secure alternate flight arrangements (via a different airport) for the amount of the orginal flight cost. The timing on the alternate flights were good enough. They need to change their business model so they don't use flights and prices that they know they are unlikely to secure. It's just misleading, and then the scrable is on to find flights they can secure (at higher costs in most cases).

Negative experience: I bought a new suitcase to travel with but to my surprise when I arrived in Chicago they gave me back my suitcase which was broken even though I paid $79 just for my suitcase.

Check the Better Business Bureau’s website on them-they have an F rating-for good reason! My credit card had to be closed-run fast away from them!

Negative experience: Fortunately I didn't try booking with these guys, as the reviews that are more than one sentence shows. I was looking at booking an expensive flight, $1400 on all other sites, and these guys came in at $900. Very suspicious, so I checked the same flight days/times with the airline, also $1400. Here's a rule to NEVER FORGET, airlines do not give discounts to travel agents/brokers. The travel agents/brokers typically make their money on changes, where they charge a bit more than the airlines. A few may discount a few dollars, but no agent/broker can be clean and discount by 30% plus.

Negative experience: Terrible Experience with Fare Buddies Travel Agency I had a dreadful experience with Fare Buddies Travel Agency. Their customer service was unhelpful and unresponsive, and I had to chase them for days just to get basic information about my booking. The flight they recommended was much more expensive than what I could find online, and there were constant errors in my itinerary. When I tried to get a refund for the booking error, they kept passing me around to different departments with no resolution. Avoid this agency at all costs – they’re disorganized, unreliable, and not worth the hassle. Definitely will not be using them again.

Lock your credit card asap and do no expect your reservation to be legit. Not a single email to confirm my reservation until hours before the flight would have taken off.
