Negative experience: I called Roadside Service and they never showed up. Lousy customer service. I deserve a discount on my membership.
Negative experience: Do not waste your time contacting this agency for help booking travel. I communicated by email with Ms. Perry a month. We also spoke on the phone. She was going to send me travel info within a day or two. Since then nothing, she won’t respond to emails or calls. A colossal waste of time.
Fantastic experience: Crystal, Mike, Alex and Terry is absolutely the best team. They will explain all auto related items into language that I can understand and provide excellent customer service. Appointments are flexible and works with my schedule. Communications is timely with texts that provides updates on the progress. I left my auto dealer to join AAA and never looked back.

Fantastic experience: I will not go anywhere else in town but this AAA on military cutoff! I cannot say enough good words about the car care staff here. I know nothing about cars but they never use that against me and are always honest with me. 12/10 recommend them!
Fantastic experience: On Saturday, The very limited staff at this AAA Center, due to the computer shutdown, did not hesitate to become "fireman" and rescue a stray kitten that had become a stowaway under our car. Great job! The 4 week kitten is now in foster car and doing well. Thanks!!!

Negative experience: If I could rate 0 stars I would. My son and his mom were visiting town for a college tour and his car overheated. They took it here and let them know they needed it fixed ASAP as they had to get home the next day. The shop “diagnosed” it as needing a new radiator and thermostat and AC service. They quoted $1,200 which seemed ridiculous to me. Got a quote from another local shop that was half the price. Took the car there and they pressure tested the radiator and it was fine. Replaced the sticking thermostat and all was good. So at best this place is terrible at diagnosing issues. And at worst they are dishonest and trying to take advantage of folks without car knowledge. We still ended up paying almost $300 for an unnecessary AC service (any good mechanic knows the AC won’t work when a car is overheating) and their “diagnostic” test. The thermostat repair at the next shop was half what we paid for AAA’s service. 0 Stars, do not recommend.

Positive experience: Road side assistance is awesome and affordable, but if you want an auto policy with them it will cost you and arm and a leg.
Negative experience: Waited 3 1/2 hrs for a jump. Never got one from AAA and never got any call back or the promised ETA. If you need service in Elizabethtown NC call a local towing company or wave down a police officier.

Not only was Jay very professional and great at his job, he is very personable and a great conversationalist for the duration of the tow. One of those services that you wish you never need to use, but if you do, you hope that you get someone like Jay. Great guy, great job, and is an obvious asset to this company. Fantastic experience: Again is awesome for trip planning and assistance, great staff. You can get an international driver license here too.
Negative experience: Mechanic told us the car needed the engine taken apart to replace gaskets, new vtec, timing chain service (timing belts are serviceable, not timing chains) new coils and spark plugs, and a few other things. We declined the 3k in repairs, took it home and fixed it myself in literal 5 minutes with a $24 pcv valve and $51 ignition coil. Car runs like new, no longer burns oil

Fantastic experience: My vehicle was vandalized New Year’s Day and in the most frustrating/stressful situation both guys from AAA and the woman who dispatched them were extremely friendly and sympathetic to my situation. The first truck they brought wouldn’t get my car out of the parking lot and I assumed it would be hours before the next one could come but they were there in under 30 minutes. Yesterday, they were fast, efficient, and friendly and I could not be more thankful for all the people who helped.
Fantastic experience: Very good customer service. Went to get my International Drivers License and they took my picture for it as well. In and out in about 20 minutes. Always go to this place for my travel needs. Next is to renew my passport.
Fantastic experience: I've been member of AAA since 1992.I have never gave AAA a review.they deserve a good one,believe me.so many times they save me from harmsways.so far so good.I was a single mother of 2.and allways felt confident that they one call away.got married and adopted 2.when we put all our finances together my husband,no only took over the bill,he make sure our kids were included till they were ready to go on their own.now we retired/empty nester,traveling all over this beatifull USA of America.wont change a thingTHANKS AAA.Terri Benbow

Fantastic experience: I recently purchased a used car from a local auto sales shop that turned out to be a LEMON. I went to several auto service centers in Wilmington for estimates that were almost $5000! These guys at AAA were so sympathetic with my situation and repaired the car for 1/2 the price AND a with a 3 year warranty! Everyone I spoke with at this AAA were super nice, very knowledgeable and did the work in only 24 hours. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: My experience here was spectacular! The boss named Jay was very kind and made sure I was able to get my car serviced in a timely fashion. I struggle finding honest and reliable mechanics/car shops being that I am a young female who goes by herself. The mechanic that worked on my cars name is Kyle and I would definitely recommend anyone to Kyle for any car repairs, services, or needs. He was very knowledgeable of all cars, showed me exactly what he was talking about, and provided top notch customer service. He was able to service my vehicle and earned my trust and respect due to his honesty and kindness. He was very honest about what needed to be fixed rather than giving me a list of things that are wrong with my car that don’t actually need to be fixed to get my money. AAA on military cutoff is extremely dependable and have good people working for them. Jay is the guy to talk to and Kyle is the mechanic to go to for any future car needs!
Negative experience: I had my truck towed in by AAA because it was the closest location. They quoted me $2400 for a clutch replacement. Several other shops quoted me $700 to $900. I guess they have to pay their rent somehow. I would not recommend them to work on your vehicle.
Fantastic experience: So we were visiting Wilmington and about to leave to Beaufort to visit my Aunt and our Red Brake light came on....called...Hardy was so kind and told us to bring it in so he can look at it immediately....ended up needing some repairs....he took us to our rental and came to pick us up....made a hard time into a bearable time....thanks guys!!!
Fantastic experience: Stopped in with a flat tire. Got it patched and sent on our way in about an hour. No charge and everybody was super nice.
Fantastic experience: Brought my daughter's older Honda for repairs, Jay was fantastic with the description of problems and repairs needed. His approach was reasonable and practical, and he saved me some money with warranty work. Given it's an older car I know where I'll be bringing it for future service -AAA Care Care Military Cutoff.

Negative experience: I had AAA tow a van that was not charging on March 7. It is now March 17, and I have not heard from them other that to tell me that the bill was approaching $1000. Take your car somewhere else. AVOID THIS GARAGE.

Negative experience: This place is definitely a shady place to take your vehicle. I would avoid this place at all costs. I had AAA towing service, so this place was the place they towed it too since it was free. Well, after telling them I thought it was a fuel pump, they called back later stating it was indeed the fuel pump that was the problem. They quoted $1,049... normal price for a repair of this nature should be closer to $500 (confirmed with 2 other mechanics). So after having the truck towed to another mechanic that wasn't a complete liar, lo and behold, the fuel pump was not even the problem (it was just the fuel filter). Total cost of repair, including the tow of over 20 miles was $230. So not only were they gong to quadruple charge me for what the actual cost should have been, they wouldn't have even fixed the problem. I can only assume they make a living ripping off people in Wilmington who don't realize this place is taking them for a ride. Again, avoid these people at all costs, they are not only untrustworthy, but also incompetent at actually fixing cars apparently.

Fantastic experience: I just wanted to put it out there so everyone could know these people who work here or extremely nice and helpful I do not have AAA no longer but had issues with my tires I came in and they helped me immediately air up all my tires didn't charge me or ask me for anything everybody was very kind I would 100% refer them to anyone and I believe I'm going to reinstate my AAA
Fantastic experience: When Jeep overheats in Hampstead, there aren't alot of choices. I had it towed here mid Friday afternoon. It needed dealer parts. I got it back on Saturday afternoon. They're a little pricey but better than the dealer. Easy peasy for an inspection too.

Fantastic experience: Manager Jake, his tech & assistant's quality of services performance was great! In addition to the 9-28-22 early AM service appt for oil change / rotation / diagnostic, etc. and front windshield wiper blades replaced, my car towed due to engulfed smoke from underneath hood was returned to AAA Care Care Center. Installed new oil cap + tow at no charge. During both appts, early morning & towing, awaiting customers commented about AAA long standing & exceedingly satisfactory service.

Positive experience: Tech confused on type of service required for my CRV. Car left unattended for an hour while in the shop. Service took 45 minutes more than promised, only because I complained.
Negative experience: Tried phone calls emails and personally showing up. All of which got me nothing. They will not return phone calls or emails. When I called another office in town they were very friendly and apologized for our experience, but this location sucks.

Fantastic experience: Going on an overseas trip requiring an international driver’s permit. Printed out the application online and filled it out. Went to the travel side of the establishment and was able to get the required passport photos taken and the application approved; walked out with the permit. Very quick process.

Negative experience: The mechanic did not adequately perform the diagnostic checks on my 4RUNNER. Resulting in unnecessary repairs and spending more money. I would have given one star but the Facility Supervisor, Jim was really amazing and adequately addressed my dissatisfaction. The mechanic in my opinion was not a professional, however Jim provided monetary compensation making the situation much better. Thank you Jim.

Fantastic experience: My dealer couldn't accommodate me for 2 weeks but AAA was able to get my service scheduled (online no less) as soon as I wanted it. They were faster and less expensive than my dealerships and AAA used synthetic oil while charging less than my dealership does for conventional oil. I have used them several times now for simple and more complexed repairs. They have always done a good job for a fair price. Glad we have them near by.

Fantastic experience: Recently got an oil change, technician took photos of CV axle.. Needed replacing.. 170k miles.. Okay, Took 4 hours, paid our way to and from using uber.. Had a great time at the mall. Plus, comes with 2 year warranty. Could not get that kind of warranty anywhere else that we checked. Overall great people, great experience.

Negative experience: My heater hose disconnected and coolant sprayed all over my engine. I have AAA so I was having it towed to my usual mechanic, but the lady I talked to on the phone from AAA for towing my car convinced me to have it towed to AAA car care for a 10 percent off discount and a 2,400 mile warranty with the fix. I live in Leland, and she had said that there was a car care center 5.7 miles from me. Firstly, this car care center was actually 16 miles from where my car was, and it was about a 30 minute drive. I had to leave my car over night so that they could fix it the next day, which was replacing the inlining, heater hose and thermostat. They said they weren’t sure if the thermostat was fried or not so the recommended replacing it. This ran me a total of about $500, in which I am not sure if this was a reasonable price or not, I am checking with my other mechanic, but it seems pretty high for a “common problem”. Anyways I paid the money for my car to be fixed and when I got home there was still dried coolant all over my engine and they did not even fill up the coolant. I called back and he told me that I could either bring the car back (30 minutes away), or I could fill it myself. I had also told him about the dried coolant all over my engine and he told me that it’s really hard to get off and that you need “special cleaning tools”. I JUST WALKED OUTSIDE WITH A DAMP RAG AND IT ALL WIPED RIGHT OFF NO PROBLEM, I didn’t even have to put force behind it. It literally wiped off with ease. So he obviously lied to me because they were lazy. I paid $500 bucks and they couldn’t even take the time to wipe off my engine, or fill up my coolant that had emptied from the problem I had fixed. I really hope they fixed my car’s problem right, because their integrity isn’t very convincing. Luckily I have the 2,400 mile warranty, because if their mechanic skills are as poor as their integrity, my car might break down again.

Negative experience: Absolutely the worst service ever experienced. Out of town car break down on a Saturday afternoon, car towed to their location approximately 2.5 hours before closing. Never heard from them, so I called 30 mins before closing to be told they never looked at it and wouldn't until Monday. Had to find housing and rent a car for a week because from out of town. Their response? "sorry about that". Services performed without permission, accused of not caring properly for my,car and criticized for not having a sticker from last oil change to only receive my car with the contents of the glovebox on the seat, no sticker and didn't reset the car for the oil change. Buyer beware.

Negative experience: Made an appointment to verify I got new tires for a car inspection... AAA ("800" or corporate whatever you want to call it) told me I couldn't go to the Oleander bc they were closed for 2 weeks so they referred me to Military. I show up to my appointment and wait 45 min. They tell me it's going to be another inspection bc its not the same location. I say whatever just do it. They come back 30 minutes later and say oh your check engine light is on and we can't pass it till its off...... Im just going to stop there bc my blood pressure is going up.

Positive experience: Went in for tire rotation and oil change, after nearly two hours the mechanic had changed the oil but not bothered to rotate the tires. The thing I had actually gone there for. The manager comped the oil change, but I ended up rotating the tires myself at home. The stars are for the manager, the mechanic earned them a one star rating. Do your job!

Positive experience: I schedule an appointment for an oil change & a state inspection. When checking in, I was told it would be 90 minutes. I was expecting a 30-minute wait, like all other businesses have provided me. I asked about the courtesy shuttle and was told it was not available. I was not offered a place to wait. The experience was disappointing. With very little effort, the interchange could have been a pleasant experience. Instead, I left irritated and determined not to do business here again. I have used the services here about four times over the last five years. The customer service was lacking then too. I will not be back. On a positive note, the quality of the services performed met my expectations. Otherwise, I would have rated my experience at a 2.
