Fantastic experience: Needed help and they were great!

Negative experience: Tried to get membership, was told incorrect information about the level of service i could sign up for today and purposely tried to upcharge me for membership price. No thanks.

Positive experience: I came from Canada and want guidance for my auto and home insurance . I met Amida Adriano she is so nice and helpful to me she is really professional, and I completely satisfied with the services she provides me . Thank you Amira .

Fantastic experience: I have AAA Auto & Home Insurance. Been with them for 28 years. I continue to be so impressed with them. My daughter has been in two car accidents in the last 2 years and when filing a claim, my experience with AAA has been great. The claims people are very friendly, good communicators, and followed up several times to make sure my daughter got home safely. Because she spun out in the snow, they ended up making it a no-fault claim and did not raise her rates. They reimbursed us for the expensive tow bill from Boulder to CA and according to the body shop that fixed her car, the claims adjuster was easy to deal with (which I am told is not always the case with other insurance companies who try to nickel and dime the claim). As for my AAA home insurance, all my neighbors have seen their rates sky rocket in CA. Mine have stayed the same. Highly recommend AAA.

Negative experience: The DMV is more efficient than this location. I heard the front desk tell 5 people in a row “ 15-20” minute wait, when there were people waiting for an hour. Zombies. Waste of time. If it weren’t for Roadside Service I’d cancel. Their insurance products are outrageously priced too. Tech will put these people out of a job before long.

Negative experience: They never pick up the phone at all. Just had a question to ask before I go in and sign up for the membership. Tried all morning and nothing even left a message and no one called back all.

Fantastic experience: My Roadside assistance technician Kevin was very friendly and worked very quickly to help me get my Jeep to a mechanic shop. Thank you Kevin!

Fantastic experience: Excellent driving course. I highly recommend signing up with Roy K for driving instruction. He is a knowledgeable and effective instructor with exceptional communication skills and exceeded all our expectations in every regard.

Negative experience: Absolutely the worse experience I have ever had in getting my home insured. Not at all the typical experience I am used to with AAA. I switched over my cars and home to AAA from Geico/Homesite. Car insurance has not been the issue. However the homeowners insurance has been a nightmare. Thought I was good to go but apparently there was still an open claim with Homesite. Work was completed in Jun-2022 but still showed open in October so I got a cancellation letter from AAA. No call from my local AAA rep. So I call and she said, she would work it and not to worry the policy as she would not let it cancel. Next I get a check in the mail so I call and sure enough it cancelled. So I called again and my local rep and she reinstated the policy since the claim was closed by Homesite, I gave my credit card info to cover the check amount and I was told I was good. That was over a month ago. I called today to switch coverage on a new car and was told I did not have a multi policy discount and I asked "what do you mean" and was told the home policy was not reinstated so apparently I have no homeowners insurance which, as you can image raised my blood pressure. So I called my local office to find out what was going and was told they needed me to authorize a flood deductible and need to take pictures of the house. This will happen tomorrow and then they will reinstate my homeowners insurance. I have no idea where my escrow money has been going and I have been exposed to losing a major asset and equity which at the age of 60 I would never recover from. Communication has been lacking throughout this entire process, no since of urgency and the service has been very disappointing. I caution anyone switching your insurance to double and triple check you coverage.

Negative experience: AAA roadside service is nowhere near what it used to be pre pandemic. Numerous abandoned calls since all this nonsense has begun. Afterr 44 years Just cant reccomend them anymore.

Fantastic experience: I was in the Thousand Oaks branch this morning to take care of some DMV things and "Jeff" helped us out and let me tell you he was not just knowledgeable but he was the nicest guy I have ever met. To anyone who wants to have an awesome experience please go and see Jeff at the Thousand Oaks AAA office.

Fantastic experience: I needed to get a registration renewal as DMV never sent me anything (not the first time). I put my name in. Within 5 minutes they called my name. I had my tags a few minutes later. Sooooooo much better than any experience with DMV. Totally worth the annual fee to not deal with DMV.

Negative experience: Scandalous and horrible to their long-term customers. I sat on the side of the road with a flat in 102 degree weather with my 9 year old for 7 (YES SEVEN) hours for AAA and they NEVER CAME. Additionally they stole $300 from me when I canceled my auto insurance (found a much cheaper carrier) with them. They said if you cancel within a year (been a member for over 15 years) you get charged. Top it off I actually called 2 weeks before canceling and asked when the best time was to cancel and start my new insurance... they never said anything about stealing money from me then! Only later. What a piece of junk outfit!

Negative experience: Worse phone service! Literally called 5 times and no one wanted to help me, they would say 'ok wait a minute' and hang up the phone.

Fantastic experience: The office was busy because they were short staffed that particular day. The wait was longer than normal, but they were still quick to get to all of us. Our clerk was helpful to direct us to how to deal with our new location and provided us with maps for us to find our new residential area. I thank the gentleman for all his help.

Fantastic experience: They were very good about keeping social distancing while also addressing the needs of each person. I felt as though I was treated with respect and not rushed at all as I took care of my membership renewal and my car registration which involved changing of my license plates. The person who took care of me was helpful and friendly showing lots of patience with me. I am thankful that AAA is so helpful and efficient at performing their services!

Positive experience: This location was okay. The clerk who helped me was stumped with the task that I brought to her. It took my specific encouragement to get her to go to her supervisor - - who solved the issue for us. I have not had a AAA membership in the last 10 or 11 years. I'm not that sure that I will renew my membership in 2022, it's simply more costly than I the membership's value brings.
