Negative experience: I booked a Hertz rental car with travel agent Michelle Patterson for pickup at the Paris airport in March, and specifically advised her I cannot have and EV since I will be staying countryside where I will not have access to EV charging station. When I arrived in Paris I was advised my reservation was for and EV! Although the staff at Hertz were very helpful, the only vehicle they had available was a Jeep hybrid which was substantially more expensive that what I had originally booked. I have emailed Mrs. Patterson and called her several times and have gone in person to have AAA resolve their agent's error. They still have not resolved the issue or contacted me regarding the status of the refund I was advised by Mrs. Patterson I would be receiving. I will never rent a car through AAA Kendall ever again. I have been a member of AAA since 1987, and have always excellent service until this situation. Very disappointed in the lack of service from the agent.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with the service! I called for service at 11am and got road side assistance at 7:18pm I was on the side of the turnpike with a broken down car for 8hrs unacceptable. I believe 1 or 2 hrs is ok not 8.

Fantastic experience: I recently needed an International Drivers Permit for overseas travel last minute. I got in touch with JOSH D. at AAA in the Kendall (Miami) office in a panic. What an EXCEPTIONAL person this person is!! He helped me from step #1-and I was in a rush to get this expedited- all the way through until I received my package- literally days later!! Customer service seems to be lacking lately(in general); but Josh completely proved this theory wrong! He was polite, professional, knowledgeable and went above and beyond! I can NOT THANK YOU ENOUGH-He is 10 STARS!!!!! A class act and this will not be forgotten!

Negative experience: Terrible service, I have been here for two hours and 15 minutes. Thrown away, nobody is helpful and they are very basic. And there is little empathy to help a client with 8 years of membership, it’s useless. Terrible. And the people who assist by phone have no empathy. They don’t even ask basic things to confirm the route.

Negative experience: Its been apx 1 year since I let my membership expire and its going to stay that way AAA has very poor service I have waited 4-5 hours for service and they have all the excuse in the book they will even tell you get your own service and they refund your money why have AAA. I have heard stories that members were told that there is no service after midnight. I have another roadside service and they come out in apx 45 minutes sometimes they even send 2 service vehicles

Negative experience: I signed with them for my homeowners policy last year. I must admit that I obtained better coverage at a cheaper price. So much so that I recommended my neighbor to the agent. Problem is, agent is helpful until you sign on the dotted line. Since then, whenever I need something and call the agent, she gives me a number and tells me to call. The previous agent I had was the complete opposite of AAA agent. When renewal came and so did the price increase, I tried calling her but she did not answer my calls nor emails. I went back to my original agent Jheannele Malcom at Insure Choice. She is everything the agent at AAA is not. I will NEVER use AAA again, let alone the Kendall office. Stay away if you want good service.

Went in for passport pictures and verified my membership. 25 mins later they took other people first that walked in after me and then after printing the pictures, they wanted to verify membership again. Did NOT ask the other people to verify again. JUST ME.. Selective Enforcement. Front desk staff is HORRIBLE… Reach out for more details.

Negative experience: Used AAA for the vacation agency services, do not recommend whatsoever. An agent named Yazmin helped me and was, to be polite, horrible at her job. I told her two weeks ago where I wanted to go on a trip provided her with the information she needed multiple times and each time was told she needs more info. Last Friday she told me she needed then info for everyone that will be attending and that she will go ahead and book once it’s sent. Sent it on Friday at noon and called her multiple times with no answer. Proceeded to keep spam calling her until today when she finally calls me back and informs me that nothing is available after telling me she could book already. DO NOT RECCOMEND this service to anyone especially if YAZMIN is your agent, I hope she improves at her job and learns how to PICK UP THE PHONE!

Negative experience: I've been a paying AAA member since 1999 (24 years). Every now and then requested service related to car battery or flat tires - no complaints there. Last night I had more serious issue (blown tire) and requested a tow at 1:35am. Received a AAA text message indicating that assistance would arrive within 1 hour. Then at 2:40am came a new SMS indicating there was a "high call volume in my area" (seriously, at 2:40am?) and my wait time would be longer. This time no ETA was provided, and that's when I decided to call my credit card company and request their assistance. A tow truck (from credit card provider, not AAA) arrived within 15 minutes. So this morning at 9:10am I finally received a call from AAA "asking my exact location because the tow truck was arriving". Unbelievable -- 8 hours later! This is what cost-cutting and mismanagement leads to: misleading a paying member in distress with false promises of assistance that they knew was not coming. So unprofessional, and borderline criminal.

Negative experience: Trash service. These guys are incompetent and slow. The first guy I got was not prepared to change a simple wheel. Second guy with the Tow was cool but he got completely lost and took longer . Literally took 5 hours for the whole ordeal. Also consistently lied about the arrival time whenever I called for an update or received a notification (kept saying 1 hour more, or 20 more minutes).

Positive experience: This big chopin always has good offerings. I particularly visited the Lee's restaurant for takeout.

Negative experience: I requested battery service, the car wouldn't start. They arrived on time and the instruments indicated a battery change. A new one was installed for $293.00 with a 3-year warranty. At 3 PM the car wouldn't start again, I made a new request and they wanted to charge me an additional $100.00. I protested and a supervisor canceled this charge. The new service indicated problems with the alternator. At 4 PM I requested service for towing to the workshop. They arrived at 11:00 PM!!! The workshop was closed, so I took it home. In the morning, I had it towed to the workshop. The technicians indicated that the battery was poorly installed and that the alternator had issues. At this moment, I'm not clear on what my record looks like. What is clear is that I spent $293.00 unnecessarily.

Negative experience: Terrible experience. Last night at 9pm the car dies and we call AAA Kendall branch to bring us a tow. We speak to a representative and she tells us around 11:30pm the tow truck will come. Now it’s 11:40 and no tow in sight. We call again. Now the second representative tells us there is no available tow truck in our area and we’re essentially out of luck. Why couldn’t that information be told at 9pm when we called? Why did the representative give us inaccurate information? Emergencies happen at any time not only during office hours. My trust with AAA is completely destroyed. The road is a scary enough place and when the company that you pay every month, to give you some peace of mind, leaves you hanging late at night … no trust.

Fantastic experience: I went to obtain an International Drivers Permit (IDP) for an upcoming trip to Italy. The process was extremely easy: fill out an application, provide identification, answer a few questions, sign, and pay. The whole process was about 15 minutes and was easy overall. The main complaint I have is that the price was listed as $20, but ended up being $32 somehow and I had to listen to a marketing schtick to try and get me to become a AAA member. Not interested. My biggest complaint is that this is one of only 2 AAA locations in the greater Miami area— but that is no fault of this location or their staff.

Negative experience: The service from AAA is lousy and the wait time is the worst. You better off adding roadside with your regular auto insurance policy. My daughter got caught in a flood and it took them 3 days to show plus they used all 3 remaining road services I had left and claimed every time I called was counted as a service call even though no one showed and they kept canceling the service. They also claimed the driver came and called but never did. The service was quick and speedy years ago now it’s the worst.

Negative experience: Worst AAA in the country My vehicle broke down at 1215 in the afternoon 4 hours later I'm still waiting on assistance I've been calling every half hour and all they do is lie to you. First saying within a hour then within 30 minutes and it's on the way. Over 4 hours later nothing

Negative experience: If you go in with the idea of them explaining charges for services on your car, you are wasting your time. Neither there nor over the phone do they know how to explain, it seems that you pay the membership but they don't have a record of what they do for you. They only keep track of the times you call for service on your car and nothing more.

Negative experience: Over 2 hours late and we still have no help from AAA over a flat tire. In this heat this is beyond ridiculous especially when we have gotten ZERO update from the driver. When we called the corporate number and they tried calling the driver it went straight to voicemail. TERRIBLE SERVICE.

Negative experience: This company has gone down hill since the 1990’s. I called for a tow on Monday at 10am. My wait time was 82 minutes. I called AAA they hadn’t even dispatched for a tow. It’s 1:28 now and I was told a truck was on the way. These ppl didn’t call to say they were on the way until 7:39pm. Service has become horrible.

Negative experience: Horrible... Called for my elderly parents. Someone picks up and doesn't speak. You can hear them moving around paperwork. I call again to follow up on ticket opened online. Over 3 hour wait because they can't find a tow company. That's strange being in Miami where there're tow trucks in every street. Their response, get your own and submit for reimbursement. Waste of money and time!
