Negative experience: I don’t give 0 stars because it’s not possible. Unfortunately, we booked our first family trip with our baby through this agency to the Nickelodeon hotel in Punta Cana. When we arrived at the hotel, it was half empty, the air conditioning in the buffet wasn't working, the pool bars were closed, only one was functioning at the other end of the hotel, the refrigerator in the room didn't work, and finally, there were no dolls throughout the hotel, which is supposedly a themed hotel for kids. When we arrived and found ourselves in that situation, I contacted this agency and the representative who made my reservation, Virginia. This lady told me that I couldn't leave the hotel, that these weren't reasons to leave a hotel. I explained that I couldn't stay there with my baby and that I was going to another hotel. The hotel gave us an early departure document and I sent it to this person so she could process some kind of refund because I was not going to stay there. Coincidentally, before my trip, I had asked this person for travel insurance (medical, flight, and luggage), but she finally quoted me with another agency and I got it with them. So this person accused me of having planned this in advance because I asked her for insurance before. Finally, we went to Lopesan and had a great time. Once back in Miami, I contacted this person and she told me the same thing that she couldn't do anything because my reasons were not enough to leave the hotel. Moreover, she said that I had planned to leave because of the insurance I had asked for and ended up blocking my number. My husband went in person to speak with the manager who said she would manage it with the company and almost two weeks after not answering the phone, when she finally responded, she said she sent an email to the company with which the reservation was made and they denied the refund. We asked her to send us that email and we are still waiting!!! Terrible treatment, we will never use this agency again. PS. My friends who traveled with us booked with Yes Travel, and that company did manage to get their refund, and the agent was always willing to help.

Negative experience: My experience with this travel agency is somewhat disappointing. I have had experiences with other agencies on my 5 trips to the DR and none have been like this. The communication from the agent to the client is poor and impersonal. This does not make the business pleasant, much less professional. Communication is essential. When it is not fluid and clear, it generates a state of disorientation and even distrust in the effectiveness of the trip. I made this known to the girl who was at the airport. She apologized. I have traveled with other agencies and the service justifies the price. The impression with Top Vacation gives the impression of 'More with less'. For example, the QR that TSA requests in the DR I have never done myself. It is always part of the agency's service. That’s why the service is requested. To avoid paperwork. It was chaotic, and it was noticeable with other travelers. Normally, the agency that receives us in the DR (DOMEX) meets with the client and offers what is in the package or what is not. Trips, excursions… it wasn’t like that. They dropped us off at the hotel and I had to fend for myself. That is fatal in the industry. Talking with other clients from other agencies, they spoke about the Island, the dolphins… they had an offered plan provided by their agency representatives. I saw this as another lack of professionalism and perhaps communication. The concept of tourism is basic and is not based on great offers but rather on the small details. The tourist needs 'a minimal guarantee of trust and viability' with whom they make the bridge between point A and B. In fact, I consider a real and concrete face in the DR upon arrival more important than three employees doing nothing at Miami Airport. Two people holding the Top Vacation sign and another interacting with the clients. That thing of 'our job is to get you on the plane' and then it's up to you. I believe that Top Vacation has controlled the basic offer but has not yet considered the details. And it is the details that make the trip enjoyable and trustworthy. A few questions arise for me after THIS TRIP: what makes this trip different from another? What is there in the DR that isn’t here (beach-a room-food)? What to say about this trip to encourage others? Among several agencies, what makes me travel with Top Vacation and not with another? What is the seal? I firmly believe that the narrative of lived experiences is more effective than advertising ads. I would think again about traveling with them.

Negative experience: Giving them one star is too good for them, my brother and my sister-in-law planned a trip with Top Vacation which they could not take, and they left the money as a deposit for the next trip, and it turns out that the money disappeared, nobody knows anything, the one who handled it no longer works there, and even with the invoices they have, they can’t do anything because nobody knows anything. Negative experience: Don't pay for trips with them, they don't refund the deposit and they also don't change the dates. They literally steal your money and come up with thousands of excuses not to refund it with supposed policies they never mention before you pay. This is a scam and one works hard for that.

Fantastic experience: Super my best vacation
Negative experience: This was my second time traveling with Top Vacations, and it will be my last. My flight left on June 10th from Miami. We arrived at the airport, and the check-in system was a disaster. They had our family of 6 with minors seated separately. It took about 40 minutes to fix it. In the check-in line, there was a group from a 'WEDDING' that did not respect that we had been waiting early with small children and they let everyone from their group who arrived late go ahead. The agency staff present didn’t realize until they were told. The flight was delayed, and when we arrived in PC, we waited almost 1 hour on the bus for them to gather everyone to take us to the hotel. We arrived at the hotel late, and our rooms were also separated. We bought a Coco Bongo excursion from the agency vendors, and the driver who picked us up had been drinking. I reached out via email to Maria, the person who always assisted me, to complain about what had happened and I never received any response. To top it all off, the return flight was delayed as well, and it was a nightmare to board the plane. On the plane, all the hot drinks were gone, and there was no water for the kids. We arrived in Miami, and we were held on the tarmac for over an hour because we couldn’t enter. In short, a Russian drama that I would not want to repeat. I do not recommend this agency at all.
Negative experience: Unfortunately, I picked the wrong agency to book a family trip of 8 with a diabetic child, it all started after we booked and deposited some money, lack of information, every time i called info given previously had changed and no one even sent an email to inform us of changes. the airport leaving the states was bad, lack of professionalism, had us all show up at 12:00am for no reason, no one at the counter till 1:30am. made it to DR fine, the way back, even worse, changed our flight from 18:00 to 16:00, only find out the day before, had us leave the hotel by 12:00pm and people didn't make it to my house till 12:30am unreal the business this agency has with the airlines, "GLOBAL X" if there's any one reading this comment please do not flight with them they don't have any word or control in any of the airports....Simplifying my experience do not under any circumstances do any business with TOP VACATION. Staid at SERENADE RESORT very nice property a bit hot in the restaurants, but overall a 7...

Negative experience: They are the worst at organizing vacations, they don't respect anyone. At the airport, they let people cut in front of you in line even if you are the first, you have a problem and they don't care after you have paid them. I do not recommend them at all. I have videos and proof of how poorly they work. There was no organization, everyone on the flight we took was very upset with them. It's a big scam...
Negative experience: June 2023- Top vacation in Punta Cana - Lopesan, we did not have the best experience , we got to the Hotel almos at 6 pm because when we got to the Punta Cana airport they make us wait in the bus to be transported to the Hotel one hr with 37 people inside including kids , instead of taking us and come back to pick up the rest , we had to wait one hr. The coordination for excursions was the worse, Isla Saona , my family had to change boats in the middle of the Ocean more than 3 times, there was elderly handicap people and kids in the boat, they were not informed that this was going to happen which I think is very dangerous , they were in the island only 1 hr and half , they didn’t have beer, it was an awful experience and the other part of the family went the day after and the boat ran out of gas again in the middle of the ocean they had to wait about 20 mins with waves for another boat, that is unacceptable. No complains in the Hotel excellent service the only one , at the theater they did not turn the air conditioner before the shows , they did when the tourist were inside , very hot inside.

Negative experience: Very disappointed I better not argue because words are not enough for me to describe so many lies. Nothing professional, look for a better agency, believe me.
Negative experience: VERY DISAPPOINTED When you go to make your trip, make sure you know who you are going to book with. Surely DO NOT DO IT HERE these people are not interested in your well-being, nor that you have a good time and distract yourself from the stress of everyday life, which is the main objective for the client; and that they say that the customer is always right, something that does not apply here. I paid for a room with a swimming pool where we were assured there would be no problems, being the price of a Privilege room which we never asked for. In all the documentation it was described that we would go to a room with a pool and we got the big surprise when we arrived at the Hotel, that top vacation DID NOT make any coordination for the lodging, which is totally the opposite of what was said. Finally, they gave us the Privilege room, which was the one that was in the hotel system and which we never requested (not to mention that the difference between a Privilege room and a Standard room is a bathtub on the balcony, at least that's the one they gave us), and they also explained to us that the hotel does not accept children under 12 years of age in the rooms with a swimming pool. So that agency DECEIVES you knowing that this is not allowed, but their goal is simple, to charge you the 400 dollars more per adult without caring, and I say this because I am currently at the Hotel Ocean El Faro on my 3rd day and "STILL "They have not managed or given a refund solution for their ERROR, nor an adjusted change since they accepted that the error was theirs, but without giving any solution. They have said that they are contacting the hotel to make the changes and everything has been false, confirmed by the Ocean el Faro Public Relations Department. Summary they prefer to pocket your money than for you to be a happy customer, we are VERY DISAPPOINTED. If you feel like Top Vacation, answer the same meaningless justifications, as you have done with other clients, defending yourselves; which just indicates how far they are from being a professional agency.

Negative experience: Have been trying to go on a family vacation and the experience with them has been the worst. I had a beautiful concept of Top Vacation, but the customer service right now is the ugliest one. I called on 07/26/2022, Maria Alejandra answered the phone, I mentioned what I was looking for, she said she was going to call me back and until today no answer yet. Today 07/30/2022 I called again, Mercedes was the person who answered this time, I explained again what I was looking for, and she was very sarcastic when talking to me. I said 'from the 1 or 2 of September' since they are the ones that accommodate my vacation, I was trying to be open in flexibility to make the process smoother, and she said; tell me the exact day because the system does not allow me to put 'or'. I am telling you, maybe my experience was very unfortunate, but I do not think they are having a good customer service right now.

Negative experience: This is the worst agency in Miami. Everyone is very nice before you give them your money, but once you hand it over, they are all extremely rude. They tell you they are selling you the best hotel, and when you arrive, the hotel is nothing like what they said. The way they operate is that they buy hotels through third-party pages, for which they pay in the local currency of the country, making it very cheap for them. I am not making this information up; human resources at the hotel where I stayed told me this, and it was the reason why the hotel could not refund my money. I called them to let them know what was happening, and instead of helping me, they told me that they had done nothing, that I was the one who chose the hotel, and that they were sorry.

Fantastic experience: The experience with Top Vacations was incredible. This was a vacations trip with friends, family to Cancun, Mexico and it has been, by far, one of the best trips of my life. Top Vacation and especially Checami helped me all the way with the booking of the trip, did everything for me in respect to the paper work and all the things needed in order to fully enjoy our vacations. We are completely sure that we are going to use the help of Top Vacation again if we plan to travel somewhere else next summer for my Daughter 15th birthday. Thank you so much Top Vacations and Checami for the best Vacations ever. I really read a lot of bad reviews before booking our vacations, but really the bad experiences reported by the costumers are no related with Topa Vacations. For example if the people at the hotel are not friendly, or if the rooms at the hotel are dirty pleaseeeee this is not related with the travel agency. Nevertheless if you didn't have any other options to have dinner at the buffet all the time. I decide to give them a chance and had been the best decision ever. They are the most professional people on earth . They asked for our preferences in our vacations and based on that they recommended the hotel and other available activities. You must listen to then people that know how you will have the best time ever on your vacations,,,,, TOP VACATIONS ALWAYS...... See you soon........

Fantastic experience: My family and I traveled to Punta Cana with Top Vacations, one of our best experiences with a travel agency, the flight was on time, both to and from, the plane was in very good condition, the prices were very good, both for the flight + accommodation package and the excursion package for having traveled with them, the service was wonderful, very attentive to us, especially Pabel, I am very grateful to him, I will definitely travel with them again.
Negative experience: Don't go with this agency, our return flight was originally scheduled for 1:30 pm, then we contacted the agency representative in Punta Cana, the transport would take us to the airport at 8 am. After the flight was delayed, it was rescheduled for 4:30 pm and the transport was set for 12:30 pm. But when we arrived at the airport, we were directly told that the flight was leaving at 7:30 pm. We were traveling with a 1-year-old baby and a 3-year-old child. -old child. So they made us stay 7 hours at the airport. When we could have paid for a late check out or sought another solution. Everyone from the same flight stranded at the airport. But of course, nobody is to blame for Félix, the agency representative at the hotel, not knowing. If at the airport they told us the flight was leaving directly at 19:30. Don’t do it. Save time and money and book your vacation on Expedia.
Negative experience: We had the unfortunate experience of booking our Punta Cana, Dominican Republic vacation through Top Vacations. If you read this BEWARE! STAY AWAY from this company. They do not care about their clients and will leave you on your own to figure things out if you have an issue. We arrived at the resort Ocean El Faro and checked in June 12th in the afternoon. We had several issues with the hotel and it’s angry staff. Strangely enough every where else we went to in the Dominican Republic, the people were usually very happy and extremely helpful. Not here, the staff all seem upset and bothered. Our two rooms were dirty, the AC wasn’t working properly and that evening we were unable to eat dinner at any of the “all inclusive “ restaurants because they were all booked up. (See my full review on the resort) The photo attached shows the line at 6:00 when the SteakHouse restaurant opens, if you’re not standing in line at that time, you will probably not get a table that evening. We were forced to eat at the buffet as many of the other guests. Although the resort looked empty it was at 75% capacity according to the guest relations staff. However, we were not able to even bowl in the bowling spot because they were to capacity. It was very boring, dirty, the drinks were not good at all and the food was just ok. The worst part was that if you tried asking anyone of the staff members for anything they would respond with a bad attitude and some even snapped at the guests. The only staff members which were somewhat nice were the vacation club salespeople, which were always approaching us to try to get us to join. It was very annoying to say the least. We were very unhappy and complained to guest services to see what could be done. We were told we had to deal with Top Vacations since we had booked it through them. We contacted the Top Vacations rep, Ana Vazquez, and expressed our concerns. She told us we had to speak to Octavio Gonzalez, the manager, in order to get a resolution. We spoke with Mr. Gonzalez, he asked that we send an email with our concerns and request. We sent the email that afternoon, and we ARE STILL WAITING for a response. The next morning, due to the lack of response and action from Top Vacations, we ended up checking out of El Faro resort and checked into one of the Majestic resorts on our own, and had to pay for it in full, basically doubling the expense of our vacation, but we could not bear another moment in that horrible resort. Today is the 26th of June, two weeks have gone by, and NO ONE from Top Vacations has responded to our email or any of our phone calls. We have left FIVE voicemails for Mr. Octavio Gonzalez, none of which have been answered. NO RESPONSE AT ALL. We feel like we were scammed. This company is not professional at all, and they will not help you at all if you have an issue overseas with your reservation. On a side note, they book the flights through Global X (a charter airline) and when we arrived back in Miami we had to wait over two hours for our luggage to be sent down because the airline was understaffed. While we were there we heard from some of the airport staff that this same thing had occurred a couple of days prior where the wait was 3 hours.

We inform you that from an operational point of view, there is no airline that offers direct service from Tampa to Punta Cana. We, as a tour operator, manage that flight to provide customers with a direct flight to their final destination and in this way offer a service that meets their expectations and does not greatly affect their economy. I reiterate that we regret that your experience did not align with our good intentions to provide a service that our customers deserve. We doubly regret your offensive expressions towards our tour operator since we have never taken a single penny from any of our clients, and when we have had to compensate them, we have done so according to the case. You are completely within your right to express yourself and give your opinion, but not to the detriment of the image of our tour operator and the agencies, as we have always been characterized by providing dedicated service to all our clients. Negative experience: Top Vacations is a clear example of unprofessionalism and consumer abuse. I’m very disappointed of the way they manage the marketing campaigns. They will tell you that your trip will be for “x” days and “x” nights but truly isn’t a real representation of the reality. Using charters flight it’s already nightmare and they make it worse by changing the flight times as they please, and of course, those changes are to favor them. We planned and paid for a trip for “7 days and 6 nights” package to Punta Cana. Our flight left after 2 pm. Landed 2,5 hours later and after making the almost 2 hours line at the airport we made it to the Hotel at around 7:00pm. Tired and frustrated all we could do was to eat, shower and sleep. (1 day completely lost) To make it worse the last day (Day 7) we have to wake up at 6:30am because our flight leaves at 9:00am back to Florida. (Another full day completely wasted) So, dear customer. Before you pay a single dollar to Top Vacations or any other company (3rd party travel agency) using Top Vacations as their tour operators just make sure to ask those questions before is too Late. They will sell you 7 days and you will get to enjoy only 5. That’s stealing! You work really hard to earn your money and plan a family vacation and then an unscrupulous company and full of lies makes the experience miserable. Don’t use them. Research first. The standard practice is to tell you that everything will be fine with the days and times. And after they pocket your money all changes are made to take those days away. Forget about asking for the money back. PS: If you are one of those customers that had this same issue just hit the thumbs up button to alert other people and help them not to make the same mistake we did. Good luck!
Negative experience: Very disappointed with this travel agency. We booked our reservation with them and paid in full for a family trip to Dominican Republic. Day before trip we had to call and cancel due to unexpected circumstances. The answer from the agency was an email just explaining how they can only refund the sales tax to us. I get it, they have to make money (and I am sure they do) But not even trying to look like you want to help or give the consumer options at least? That’s not how you do business. The reason why we are taking the time to write this review is just to make sure that If you are going to travel with Top Vacation and for whatever reason you need to cancel you don’t make the same mistake we made, don’t even try. You will lose your money, cause all they care about is Profit. Again hopefully you took the time to read this and make a smart decision not to do business with this company. 2 Stars deserved because they still, will Sell, Vacation packages to a lot of people that don’t care about the way they do business. BAM.

Negative experience: #imarayUlloa highly recommends it, but I think they lack a lot as a company. My experience with this travel agency was not good at all. I’ve tried to communicate with them since the 17th, leaving several messages, and they are not even capable of responding. Finally, today, the 23rd, they showed up with a bad attitude from the person who was not friendly at all. Then they called me as if nothing happened, and I said... thanks for calling me, it's too late for me to take a trip package with you if this is how you sell, which anyone wants to sell, and you are supposed to get in touch quickly with the client. I can’t imagine when you’ve already purchased your vacation and something happens with the reservation, there’s no one to respond to you. Their excuse is that they have 100 calls a day, but they should hire people so they can provide better customer service. What a disappointment! ♀️♀️ #imarayulloa you are my favorite but recommend something better that leaves your name in good standing! However, what is unfortunate is that you, as part of a Latin community that tries to grow and excel in this country, are engaging in the act of discrediting that you are attempting to do. At no point were you treated poorly; we tried to explain in various ways that there were calls made that went unanswered. We explained in every possible way, but you adopted a disdainful position demeaning the work of people like yourself. I believe that harmful criticism is not part of constructive criticism. It is regrettable how you acted and proceeded; I repeat, we respect when criticism comes from a place of respect, not in the way you are trying to denigrate our work.

Negative experience: The name really should be Top Lie, Top Advantage Takers. Long story short I paid a deposit and advantage towards a trip. Requested a refund via all the legal channels before the timeframe to request full refund expired. Was told the office was closing down for some time for Covid and that I would get my refund. Have been an entire year and more after them to either give me my refund or I would either settle for a domestic trip and pay the difference. Ask Virginia who used to work there. These people!! They have given me zero attention and response. They are now focus on screwing new clients since they already pocketed my hard earn dollars long ago and do not care.
Negative experience: I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy! Lack of everything!! A whole day wasted at the airport with no explanation, there was no one waiting when we arrived, no excursions, none!!! Total disorganization with the transfer back to the airport, we had to pay for a COVID test and they said it was included. All of that and more during the worst vacation in Riviera Maya. The hotel was indeed spectacular, but that of course has nothing to do with top vacations.
