Fantastic experience: We recently returned from Viking's Mediterranean Odyssey- and it was truly a trip of a lifetime! Adding to the journey, our pre cruise experience in Tuscany, and our post cruise time in Barcelona ended up being our favorite parts of this trip. Maybe because we had more days to explore, but these times were truly memorable. Viking does an incredible job of keeping you busy, and we learned so much and saw so much!

Fantastic experience: Though I was initially a little skeptical about our river cruise being as advertised, I was proven very misdirected in my thinking. This was a wonderful trip that was well managed from beginning to end to include our cruise extension. The professionalism of crew and staff, our local guides and all who were part of this great cruise is unsurpassed in the world of cruise vacations. All services were highly commendable in their attention to detail and ensuring we were well taken care of at every step. Our cabin steward was very attentive; dining room staff was on the ball and efficient; our cruise director was extremely informative with a subtle touch of levity to make his presentations very listenable and worthwhile (he seemed to be everywhere in all the ports as we visited to ensure everything was in order and offer some valuable advice; onboarding and disembarkation were well handled and our extension tour director went above and beyond in his efforts to make sure we had maximum opportunities to enjoy Salzburg and Munich. Only minor issues were there was no need to visit the BMW museum (a brief stint) and the poor attitude of the van driver on our trip to the airport for departure---though for the latter our tour director did pull him aside to get the driver in the right frame of mind. Also, the Steigenberger hotel staff in Munich were less than friendly and accommodating. Least I forget, the Imagine Going There Travel team was superb at every step of the way!!!!

Though they were available to answer all our questions in a timely manner, we were further impressed by what a great travel experience we had with Viking who had a ration of 2 vacationers to 1 member of the crew. No wonder we got such great service anticipating our needs and personalizing our experience the whole time we traveled with Viking from meeting us at the airport to getting our luggage off the ship and waiting for us before we went through customs to meet our transfer bus to the airport.

I'm a "seasoned" traveler (>1m miles with Delta, >1,000 nights with Marriott), who usually takes all responsibility for booking trips and travel. Although I never really used travel agents in the past I learned in this trip that it was great idea. The couple we traveled with had flight issues because of a hurricane and Delta wasn’t really helpful. Carol and her team stepped up and made it all work. Fantastic experience: Looking into the Viking Paris and Normandy Seine cruise, found a video of Carol reviewing the itinerary and benefits of booking through Imagine Going There. I put in an inquiry and got a call right away. She explained the process - Viking compensates them, price I pay is the same as if I booked on my own. She reviewed price details, and special credits booking through them provided - and helped get additional credits through a referral from a friend who had a Viking trip booked, for both us and our friend! She advised that in our particular case we not go with the Viking-provided travel insurance, given our age (40s) and good health, and later had an insurance specialist from her office contact me and provided excellen - and lower - quotes, with travel insurance terms that were more than sufficient for us in particular. She thoughtfully handled the whole price and billing process, followed up after we were booked, close to the trip itself sent a lovely gift with printed-out itinerary and receipts to carry with us so all details were handy (after of course having previously sent everything g electronically). And after the trip we received a post-trip email - and a lovely gift, thanking us for booking with them! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Our Viking Rhine River Cruise was outstanding. I can’t say enough about how well organized is Imagine Going There Travel. Beginning with Carol Shaddix, who was my first contact, our reservation and trip planning couldn’t have gone smoother. Our airline reservations were perfect as we had amazing seat locations. When we landed in Amsterdam and then retrieved our luggage, there were Viking representatives to great us at the exit. We had a very pleasant and knowledgeable driver who transported us to the Mövenpick Hotel for our two night pre cruise stay. There were Viking representatives in the hotel lobby to welcome us and present our room keys. Our room was very nice and, after two nights, we boarded the Viking EIR Ship. The cruise on the Rhine River was spectacular. The food and service was beyond belief. The meals got better and better. When we arrived at Basel, it was difficult to leave the ship and all of the friends we made including the Viking Crew. We have already reserved passage in 2025 for a Viking Cruise on the Adriatic Sea. I recommend Imagine Going There Travel to anyone who is interested in a perfectly planned cruise that you will remember for years to come!!!

Fantastic experience: This was our 9th trip with Viking and we have always dealt directly with them to set up our trips. We heard good things about IGT from friends and decided to give them a try.
