Negative experience: I usually do not leave businesses a bad public review, but my experience here at this AAA (Gambrills, MD) was absolutely terrible. I wish I could give zero stars. My visit was a few months ago, I waited until now because recently I took my Volvo to another shop and saw what real service looks like. A few things I want to highlight… -I asked for two different services for my car, they literally forgot one of the services. When asked why they didn’t get it done. The response was… “I forgot to write it down”. I let that go. -They told me the one service on my car would be around $80. After the service I went to pay, it was around $20 more. They said they mixed up what car I had when telling me my price in the beginning. Even though they told me it was their mistake, still wanted me to pay the higher fee. -They didn’t take care of my car… my front car mat was dirty from their shoes and they moved things in my trunk then DIDN’T put everything back where I had them. More on my floors, I had to buy a new set of car mats because I couldn’t get their dirty shoe prints out. To conclude, this was a terrible experience and I will never return. Lessons that I learned from this experience. Take pictures before and after going to a shop and I should have fought for better quality service. I am one that doesn’t like confrontation. They saw that and took advantage of the situation. Therefore if you are younger (I’m 23) or don’t want to have to go back and forth to be treated right. Do not come to this location. “898 MD-3 S Gambrills, MD 21054 United State”. I do want to add, I left a private review to this AAA location right after service hoping I could get a refund or something. The manager did call me once, I was unavailable at the time. I called the number back and left a voicemail. Absolutely nothing after that because they don’t care. The manager checked a box when calling then moved on.

Fantastic experience: I arrived at AAA due to my tire gauge light (glaring at me). It was extremely cold and about 25 minutes before AAA was due to close. I requested assistance with air being put in my tires. Josh quickly helped me with the issue and had me stay in the warmth of the car. The next day, the tire gauge light appeared on and off. Again, I went to see Josh. After describing my problem and observations on the occurrences; Josh was able to tell me the mechanics behind the issue and the various solutions. I really appreciate the efficiency, honesty, and professionalism demonstrated by Josh in assisting me. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I was there on Friday, 12/27/24 around 4ish. There was a nail in the tire and I needed to travel back to MA the next day. Josh was helpful. He set the expectation that I may not be able to get in to have the tire repaired or worst, replaced as they close in less than 2 hours. He looked at the tire and said because of the location it will need a replacement. However, he said he could pull the screw out and spray a soapy water over it and see if it bubbles. I got lucky, the screw went into the tire on a tangent so the tire part was not punctured. I didn't need a patch nor a replacement. I really appreciated his quick thinking and problem solved the situation. Instead of saying "you need to replaced a tire," he took that extra step to diagnose the tire. Thank you Josh.

Negative experience: I would not recommend this place at all. The work they did on my daughter’s car was horrible. Manager Andrew knew the mechanic did a poor job but did not had the honesty to own up to it. Bad service and bad management!!! Stay away from this place!!!

Fantastic experience: I have never used my triple AAA card ever I went to visit them because my air pressure in the tires was low and I did not know how to add air. I went to this facility and immediately they sent me to an area where the gentleman came out and filled up my tires with the very professional crew. I thank you so much I would highly recommend

Negative experience: Review for AAA Gambrills Location: If I could leave negative stars for this location, I absolutely would. Avoid this AAA at all costs. Their negligence and unprofessionalism are shocking, and I wouldn’t trust them with any vehicle ever again. Here’s why: 1. I dropped my car off to have a nail removed from my tire. After being told the issue was fixed, I paid and left. Turns out the nail was still in the tire. By the time I returned from a trip to Brazil, my tire pressure was dangerously low. When I went back, they finally fixed it—but charged me a second time! 2. I scheduled a 2 PM appointment for a simple oil change. After waiting over three hours, I was told the technician had gone home without touching my car. The situation was beyond frustrating, and after demanding immediate service, I had to wait an additional week for another appointment. When I returned, they claimed they “could squeeze me in,” only to take two full days to complete what should have been a 30-minute job. 3. The final straw came when my girlfriend’s car suffered a ruined engine due to their failure to properly secure the oil plug. While the service supervisor initially promised to cover the cost, the following morning he claimed corporate had instructed them not to touch the car, turning it into a legal issue. On top of my terrible experiences, several family members have had similarly poor service and have since switched to another car care company entirely. This location demonstrates a complete lack of accountability, competence, and customer service. Save yourself the frustration, time, and money—go elsewhere.

Negative experience: If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I had an oil change in July on my 2023 Kia Soul. Due to their negligence, the oil plug came loose at the end of October, causing irreparable damage to my engine. Their manager, Andrew Baylor, openly admitted fault and assured us that AAA would cover the cost of a new engine. However, we've spent over a month battling with many members of the AAA team to fully resolve this issue. After consulting with several people, we believed Debra Morelli, the District Manager for Delaware and Maryland, might be our best chance for help. She confidently told my stepfather, "If anyone needs to hear about this, it's me." However, we now learned that she is "not involved in the Car Care commerce line" and does "not have any influence over that part of the business". This goes to show that nobody on this AAA team is truly trying to rectify the issue. They are completely irresponsible, disorganized, and make empty promises. It's absurd that we are now hiring legal representation just to get them to fix the damage they caused. Do yourself a favor—avoid this location at all costs and take your car to AAA in Rockville. They take excellent care of cars and will never treat you in such a disrespectful manner.

Negative experience: I hate writing poor reviews. I will start w/the customer service was very kind, but the actual car service itself was quite egregious, and this is our second experience of sort. I took my car in to address an engine light. You can see the attached photo from Auto Zone on 10/14 stating it was the thermostat; nothing else. I dropped my car off on 10/16 to have it fixed along with a tire rotation & oil change. Next day I received a call explaining I needed a new thermostat, a hose and potentially a sensor. I stated - please do what is needed, I need my car to last! Note: I did not decline the sensor despite a note stating as such. I can add the work order that contradicts that statement if needed! I picked it up on 10/21, they stated "good news you didn't need a sensor after all". 10/23 the engine light is on. I called the next morning, they stated it could be the sensor that I declined. I repeated, I did not decline the sensor, I was told upon pickup it was decided it was not needed. They asked if I could bring it in that day, gracious for the quick response I quickly made arrangements to drop it off. Upon drop off, I stated that my tires never appear to be rotated. Was told it was probably because they like the strongest tire in the back for AWD. 5 pm comes and no update, so my husband stopped by. It was explained they are short staffed so there was not much they could do. I fully expected to perhaps not get an appt that day. At I known this at 9 am I would not have had my mom drive from Annapolis and not be late to work. This morning, I call again - they stated they were just getting to it and would call back in an hour. About 30 minutes later, I received a call that it was just a very small EVAP system leak; and probably the gas cap. I explained my car does not have a gas cap, its a Grand Cherokee. They repeated, well its an emissions issue that is not related to the original problem. Fast forward, my car had not moved. Same spot as when I dropped it off, when my husband stopped by and when I went to pick it up. I was told they turned the engine light off, I repeated this was not an issue I had prior to service. He stated yeah probably just the gas cap that does not exist. I asked for my auto zone report back. He asked - I'll try; when were you last here. Um, Monday. Got the report and no offer to even try to fix it considering I don't have a gas cap. I drove straight to Autozone to do exactly what took them 24 hours to do. 3 minutes later; same result as AAA. You can see the attached report shows the leak; old one doesn't. The nice man stated they could have knocked something loose or didn't re-tighten something considering I do not have a gas cap (if you didn't catch that already). So 10/25 - 3 days late to work, out 1k, tires not rotated - appear to be charged for labor for a thermostat housing and a coolant temp sensor I never got (maybe its the same price who knows, I'm mentally exhausted) and still need to get my car serviced to pass emissions. Or get a gas cap. Off to find another mechanic and probably drop even more $$$! The one positive - I do really like Josh from AAA. He should be in their commercials! Fantastic experience: BLUF: The process was smooth for getting an international driving permit. One of the associates, Holly, provided amazing service. I can't speak to the quality of the car maintenance shop at this location, but the travel service representatives were great. I came to this location after having received no help at the Annapolis branch. Upon walking in the door Holly M., one of the sales associates, immediately identified what we were there for and pre-empted our request for help. She got our pictures taken, filled out the necessary documents and got us everything we needed in less than 20 minutes, all while educating us on the other helpful services they offer.

Negative experience: This would be zero stars if I could. Terrible service and they don't stand behind their work. I took my 2007 Acura there for a clutch replacement since my regular mechanic no longer did that type of work. I had the clutch, rack and pinion and axles replaced. Also had the TPMS sensors replaced. They day I left, the TPMS sensors were not working. This took about 2 weeks to get fixed...they even asked that I take it to an Acura dealer to get them calibrated, which I did. When Acura could not fix it, they reinstalled them and it was fixed. 1 week after my clutch was replaced, it burnt up and needed to be replaced. They installed a 2nd clutch and it lasted 6 months before it was deemed to be "burnt up" with less than 10K miles on it. They said "the clutch burnt up due to improper clutch usage." My car had the original clutch for 190K miles and never had an issue until it needed to be replaced due to normal wear and tear. Every car I've owned since the early 90's has been a stick shift and this is the only time I've had a burnt clutch, which happened twice in 6 months since they "repaired" it. I would think a supposedly reputable company like AAA would stand behind their work for someone that just spent $7000 on multiple repairs there. I highly recommend you don't take your car here because you will have more troubles than you can imagine. I filed a complaint with the BBB and will look into other avenues to make this right.

Negative experience: Every bad review that you see about this place has to be true.I had a awful experience there today.And I would not recommend anyone to take their car there.For this to be aaa facility its A joke. Fantastic experience: Had a flat tire on my Chevy Silverado. Sarah was so helpful and nice and told me bring the wheel and tire down to have a technician take alook. Turned out it was a bad valve stem leaking air. It was replaced in less than 30 minutes. Big time help! Such a convenience this place is located close to my house. Negative experience: I just moved here from cali came to this office to get my vehicle licensed and tagged. They said “might as well transfer your membership too!” But instead they made me a new membership and now I’m being charged from cali and Maryland. On the phone with customer support trying to get it fixed.

Fantastic experience: Incredible service, fantastic people! I came in for an oil change and the person behind the counter (also Sarah) was so friendly and helpful, I instantly knew I was in good hands. The facility is wheelchair accessible (including the bathroom) and easy to navigate around. There is a little wait room with a keurig. I was so impressed that I’m planning to go back to get my tag and title transferred.

Negative experience: Poor costumer service. Poor support. Vehicle failed inspection due to tire tread being 2/32". MD permits 2/32 as minimum. They wanted to sell tires $1,400 for a set of 4. No thanks. They would not make appointment for re-inspection. They told us to, "just drop by". Got tires elsewhere and dropped by, but they could not see us. Returned a few days later. 2.5 hours for re-inspection (checking tread depth on brand new tires). Charged 1/2 price of inspection for re-inspection. $270 for vehicle inspection. Plus we had to buy a set of tires 6 months sooner then we wanted/needed. I will never go back. Feels like a racket.

Negative experience: DO NO let this shop repair your vehicle. They can't even keep managers much less fix anything. I've spent more than 4K from 22-23 and most of the time and money went into fixing the same thing without my knowledge. In fact, they claimed to repair something twice that was never repaired and told me the part I had previously paid for had been sitting in their shop for months. The third time, they claimed it was something else. I'm still having the same issues and don't have the money for someone else to fix at this time. I've contacted customer service and I'm awaiting a call back. I've also emailed the same place the manager has told everyone else with a 1 star rating to email. We need to band together and contact MD state officials or our state representative. This location should be shut down.
Fantastic experience: The manager at this location went above and beyond to help me figure out a solution for my car. I have been a member for years and have been to different locations but this was by far the best experience I have had with AAA. The manager Danielle definitely is an expertise in her field and provided phenomenal customer service. The environment is very calm and everyone is friendly.

Fantastic experience: First of all let me say that both Andrew and Marley by far are the best!!! I received amazing service when I called last minute for an issue with my car. As opposed to turning me away with the holiday hustle and bustle they were both very accommodating and were able to squeeze me in. Negative experience: This place shouldn’t even get 1 star. My boyfriend dropped his truck off this morning at 10 am and returned from work at 4 pm for a simple inspection and his car wasn’t touched or moved. After waiting on hold via phone for 20 minutes to walking in and seeing 4 dudes straight chilling doing nothing to being told his car would be ready at 4 pm. He walks in and is told “sorry your car slipped through the cracks we can get it done in the next 10-15 minutes” AFTER IT BEING THERE ALL DAY?! My bf began to wait the additional 10-15 minutes until he noticed that NONE of the guys took initiative to grab his keys and get started on his vehicle. He proceeded to ask for his keys back and left. Is this gan actual joke? Who is the manager here?

Negative experience: I came in to get a plug in my tire that had a screw in it. It took over 2 hours, and when I left I didn't check my tire because they told me they had fixed the problem. When I went to drive to work the next day the screw was still in my tire. They charged me and did not fix the problem.

Fantastic experience: I would like to thank Andrew, Car Care Service Advisor, for his help. He was cheerful and at the same time professional. I brought the car to them because the TPMS indicator came on. He spent time inspecting the tires and found no issues, checked the pressure and interrupted his team to topped off the air. All at no charge. I look forward service at AAA again.

Negative experience: Warning! Do not get your car serviced here. This place is a complete mess, total disorganization, no customer service, jacked up prices with sketchy auto-mechanics. I ended up spending almost 5k on service here. They kept my car for 2 months, every week I would call (they would never call me for updates) and they would lie to me, telling me my car would be ready in a few days. This went on for over 60 days until I complained to the regional manager. Soon after my car was "repaired" it started leaking oil. I took my car to a different mechanic to get looked at and it turns out many of the installations were faulty or they had used old broken parts to make the repairs. This was after I paid almost 5 thousand dollars for repairs! Honestly this is criminal and this place needs to be investigated. Also they led me on the entire time initially telling me I would only need 1000 dollars worth of repairs, then each time I would call they would say they found some other issue and add on another thousand. If I had known the final price would be 5k initially I would have either sold the car or gotten a second opinion. I feel that I was taken advantage of by this kind of predatory business practice. Also I had another experience here where I took my car in after someone had tried to steal it and they quoted me 4k worth of repairs. I got a second opinion and ended up only paying 1k and not having to replace the expensive part that they had suggested I do. Honestly this place is a total scam and I will never bring my car here ever again. This experience has also deflated my trust in AAA as a whole and I will be canceling my membership with them at the end of this year.

Fantastic experience: I am an AAA member and roadside has saved me more than once but today I am getting an international license. Never been inside the building here but everyone is super sweet and happy. Like walking under a rainbow lol. Whisked me in, no wait and done in about 10 minutes. Happy customer. Fantastic experience: My keys fell out of my hands and into the trunk of my car without my knowledge. Of course could not get into car after closing trunk. Called AAA, they came right away and opened the trunk. Thank goodness. I was on my way in no time. Thank you.

Negative experience: When taking your vehicle to a franchise you expect you have you and your vehicle treated with a certain level respect, I don’t expect royalty I just expect to have my vehicle worked on and be on my way, not having my vehicle taken on joy rides nor being left with the windows down during a storm. No care for their customers or their vehicles would highly advise anyone not to do work with them.

Negative experience: Absolutely the most unprofessional, disorganized, careless shop to exist. They’ve been known for property damage against their own customers with no repercussions! One of the works named “tony” likes racial slurs as well.. pretty sad to see in a business.

If you would like quality repairs and an insured shop that warranties their work look elsewhere. They are not it! Fair warning now. Negative experience: If I could give a complete -10 stars I would I would give a -20 stars …AAA as a company has caused intensive damage to not only 1 but now 2 of my vehicles…issues started Wednesday evening when I called the customer service number and they left me stranded from 6pm -11pm on the side of the road walking down route 50 for 2.5 hours…my vehicle was dropped off Thursday and I was told my vehicle would be done Friday… my vehicle was not done Friday I had to wait till Monday…here we are Monday 530pm I’m walking into this location I pay my bill and I notice water on my floor Matt’s…then I dump water off them and find water on my carpets…why does my vehicle smell like mold and mildew… my carpets are soaking wet!!! My seats are soaking wet!!!! My door panels have water in the cup holder and now my door panel switch isn’t working properly due to water damage…my driver side door lock doesn’t work due to the switch getting water in it…I storm to the back and ask the techs who worked on my vehicle to which “Adrian” the guy in the back…he then says that another tech was driving my car…but he was the one working on it …so why is someone other than the service tech that’s supposed to be working on my vehicle inside of it…not only was my interior ruined…but I was also told by o told by a tech “Jordan” these words…” ohhh yeah…sooo someone left your windows down while it rained…” …Andrew my adivisor failed to mention anything about this…. They had me pay for 3 belt replacements and then fail to mention they compeltly ruined my entire interior of my work truck!!!! Thanks AAA for the great experience… the only person at the crofton location that took the pictures and actually was like damn…that’s messed up they did that to you… was “diondre” he was very helpful in trying to calm me down through this whole ordeal. I have time stamps ,videos,and countless proof of my interior being destroyed at this facility…Jordan the tech told me that another worker left my windows down …they also stole my phone charge out of my vehicle …I had a 3ft black cable iPhone charge in my vehicle at time of drop off and at time of pickup my phone was dead and I couldn’t charge my phone to contact AAA claims… because my phone charger was stolen my a tech at this location. Again thanks AAA -10 stars !!!!!

Negative experience: BEWARE BEWARE my car cut off and I needed a tow so naturally being a member I had AAA tow my vehicle and I decided to have try their car and care shop. That was a big mistake my car needed and alternator which sounds simple but the people at this shop had confused my car with others like min currently being serviced they took a week to repair my car and when they called me to pick up my car I needed a boost to drive it off the lot so they never checked my battery also my AC was working when the car came in but after they replaced my alternator now my AC is not working. I had other issues with this shop after I took it back so they can check why all of a sudden the AC is not working they called me to pick up my car saying it was fixed and when I got to the shop they said oh your car is not ready I don’t know why we called you we meant to call a different customer. I had problem after problem at this location so do yourself a favor and avoid this AAA car care location they are not good. I will NEVER go back there and needless to say they never repaired my AC but I will be taking my car to my regular mechanics shop to have the job done right and know that whey will not confuse my car with another persons car. This place should be called FFF for their score is an F

Negative experience: Terrible service. Completely disorganized. No communication. Waste of time. I stopped by yesterday to ask if they could diagnose my car since I had a Check Engine light that was coming on. They told me to leave my car and that they would call me in an hour to let me know what they found. I informed them that I needed the car within 48 hours for a family trip. They assured me that they could diagnose and fix it within that time. So I left the car with them. An hour later, no call back, so I called them. I was faced with a variety of automated menus over and over again and no option for a live person. I was on hold for the Auto Service Department for 30 minutes. The "Hold" recording kept asking if I wanted a call back rather than waiting on the line. I finally gave up and opted for the call back. The call never came. The next morning, I tried calling again. Again, no one picks up the phone after multiple calls. Just the same automated system, except this time, when I try to register for the call back, it tells me I'm already on the call back line so I can't request another call back! Unable to speak to anyone I end up walking to the service center. My car was still exactly where I had parked it. No work had been done. Nothing. I asked for my keys so I could take my car back. They couldn't find them. I had to wait 20 minutes for them to find my keys. In the end, they did nothing but waste my time and didn't diagnose anything. In fact, it wasn't even in the queue. Just a total and complete disorganized s--t show.

Negative experience: I was very displeased with the customer service and car care I received. After informing me that my car would be repaired 2 days after it was towed to them, I received no communication and had to call to inquire about my car. When I called, after being on hold for a significant amount of time, I was told that the part wasn't even ordered and my car would not be ready for another 2 to 3 days, in which there was also limited communication. The excuse was a change in staffing at the customer service desk but that excuse is lack luster when you don't even take the time and consideration to inform your customer regarding any delays or issues. Not only that, they failed to repair all of the issues that were initially quoted to me. I was promised a call from the manager.... still waiting for that.

Negative experience: Been a AAA member for 15 plus years, love the towing, this was the first time, I let them talk me into bringing my car to one of their centers. I knew what the problem was(fuel pump)and I was told I would get 10% discount and $50 off my service if I used them, well I'm in!! $50 and 10% off at most $650. Deal!! Get the van towed up there, and get a call back with a price tag of $1250?? What?? For what I asked, well Mark tells me it's a $750 part?? Where are they getting their parts at? In what world is it ok to charge your customers 3 times what I can get a GENUINE GM part for? I'm assuming Rockauto is still making a profit at $225!! Really guys this is horrible and believe me I asked if I could bring in the parts, you know it, they said something about warranty, blah, blah, so I then asked if I paid for it to be shipped and warrantied in their name and the guy ran out of excuses and said look we charge what we charge. Got the van towed from the shop, I'd rather pay someone $150 to tow it across town and have it fixed for $625 labor and parts, half price!! Same warranty. $350 for labor is also high but I would have paid it. Don't bother with this place!! Bradys or Goss's garage are way more reputable!!

Negative experience: The worst experience I've ever had with any mechanic shop. If I could give them a negative I would. I came in for an engine diagnostics, I paid the charge ($118) and they told me I needed 2 new catalytic converters ($2000). I paid and got the job done. The same afternoon I pick the car up, I smelt a burning oil coming from the vent. I called back to explain and they told me I'll have to make another appointment. We made another appointment and they told me the oil filter housing needs to be replaced because there is a terrible oil leak (should've been caught during the diagnostic that we paid for prior to any work being done). We have been trying to get this problem corrected but no response no answer. They respond to your review with an automated response, a AAA rep will email you afterwards and tell you, you can only handle this issue at that location. No responses from anyone! Not the store, nobody that represents AAA will contact you or even find a solution. Why even become a member! NEVER AGAIN WILL I EVER STEP INTO A AAA ESTABLISHMENT AND I WILL MAKE SURE EVERYONE I KNOW OR CROSS PATHS WITH WILL KNOW ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE. TERRIBLE COMPANY REPRESENTED BY TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT. You put on a AAA uniform you represent all of AAA as a whole, not just a specific region or location when something goes wrong. Take accountability for your establishment negligence. CROOKS!! Fantastic experience: I had an appointment and was promptly checked in upon arrival at the shop. I was having a full set of tires (ordered from tire rack) installed. I received an excellent price as an AAA member. The waiting area was clean and provides a view of the mechanics working on the cars. They installed the tires within 1 hour and didn't try to add additional services. Overall, it was a stress-free experience. I recommend this location and will not hesitate to bring my car here again.

Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE FOR TIRES!!!! They have had my husbands truck for a week just to change a tire. As we’re sitting here waiting they still had not done it, we spoke to them at 11:30am they said they were working on it, but they told us yesterday they would call us by the end of the day to come get it. Again it just needed a new tire. We arrived at 5pm and they went out back pulled the truck in and began changing it……Horrible customer service, like the worst. If you get someone to answer the phone expect to be hung up on or wait over a half an hour on hold.

Negative experience: Disappointing service. Took our car in to get the catalytic converter replaced, and came out with a louder running car that now leaks. When we took the car back to AAA to figure out why it’s leaking they claimed the mechanic who worked on the car wasn’t working and to come back the following day at 9am. Took the car in again today at 9am and they initially lied and said the mechanic wasn’t working (although it turned out he was). All this to say they can’t do anything right now and to come back again tomorrow at 3pm. We asked for the manager and he apparently wasn’t working today either. I have since called and left a voicemail with the manager Adam Gregory and have not received a call back. AAA is giving us the run around after we spent $2k, ridiculous. We’re taking it to another mechanic now to see what was done. Please don’t bring your car here, you’ll leave with more car issues!

Negative experience: I have been coming here for about 4 years now and service has gone from amazing to bad. Seems like the changing of the auto management teams over the years has declined the customer experience. The latest is a service charge of $110 for a diagnostic. When I first start coming here they did not do charge you to tell you what they needed to fix. Then about a year or so ago they added a charge of around $78 but it would be applied to the work if you had it done. Now they just charge you to tell you what they will fix then another charge to fix it. Money grab! Called around to several other local shops and either they will apply the charge to the work you have done or there is no charge to diagnose the issue. They have lost a customer from their auto repair.

I normally don't want to write reviews, but I felt compelled to say something about these guys. They are competent! Offer fair Pricing! Does truly excellent work! Really pleasant to deal with! In this day and age, the word "Quality" has nothing to do service. When you go to the average mechanic their level of interest in offer good service is absent, but NOT at AAA Crofton Car Care. I kid you not when I say, "GOOD PEOPLE" Truly QUALITY SERVICE! They still practice and understand what good service means! In addition to the excellent service, they do not price gouge you! Their pricing is fair and transparent. I took my car to Passport BMW and they are the worse!!! They price gouge you and work as slow as they possibly can!!! AVOID THEM!!! I brought my car to AAA Crofton and it was night and day between them and Passport BMW! It was the BEST decision that I've ever made going to AAA Crofton!!! Positive experience: I have been using this service center ever since I joined AAA because of the convenience, and all services they offer. I have had nothing but great experiences with everyone there until recently. I was on a road trip and my normal travel agent at this location was away for training when I needed assistance with my return trip home. Her fellow co worker did not follow through with my request, I was left without a trip tix home, hotel reservations and other services I needed. When I tried calling the member 800 number the prompts were not working so for 2 days I could not get a live person, when I finally got a live person in the travel side he took my information said he would connect with the manager at this location and then put her on the line with me. Well when she got on the line with me she was so rude and nasty, I was appalled at the way she spoke to me, she seemed to not believe my concerns, kept asking my to repeat the same thing over and over again, and kept making excuses. She was not about the customer at all. She said she would talk to her boss about my concerns and request and get back to me, and she has not. As we were hanging up I asked to be transferred to my original agent she said she was with another member and I asked if she could please give her a message to call me back when she is free, and her tone was very rude again and said we will see if can call you back and I said no please have her call me back. I then emailed my agent who then promptly called me back and was so apologetic for the stress and all I had happen and said to let her know if I still needed help with the drive home. I also tried reaching a manager when calling the 800 number and I was told no one was available to speak with me and they would have them call me back and again they have not called me back. I am very upset that my concerns are not being addressed, that the manager or whomever she was talked down to me and was so rude, she definitely wasn't about the customer and did not believe me. I am very close to dropping my membership for the lack of service I received when I need help with travel, and getting home safely. I would like for these concerns to be addressed.

Negative experience: Took my car in for an oil change. Once complete, I was informed I needed new tires and rear brakes. I declined the ~$1000 tires since I could get them at Costco for $600. I opted for the brakes. Once that was complete, I was told I needed all new wheel bearings for $2137. I declined the repair. I was told if the front right bearing was not fixed very soon, my tire could fall off. The following week I went home for Easter and took my car to my dad's trusted mechanic. I did NOT need any wheel bearings replaced! I wonder if I actually needed rear brakes! Get a second opinion if they say you need any work done!
Positive experience: Very high repair prices even after the 10% discount as AAA member. Be leery of having AAA tow here first, for you only get a free tow per one repair. So if you decide to take it to a cheaper shop you'll have to pay for the tow

Negative experience: I ordered a new set of tires from Tire Rack and had them delivered to this location as it was the closest to home and also on the cheaper end for possible installation. I called three different times once I got the delivery confirmation. I spent nearly a half hour on hold before having to give up and accomplish other things. The following day, I called again two different times as was not able to get through for at least 20-30 minutes each time. I called early in the day and at other times throughout the day. I went a couple of days without calling as I was busy with work. On Friday of last week, my wife tried to call and again, well over 20 minutes of wait. She went online and found the website allowed for an open time slot to request on the next day (Saturday). That evening, I still wanted to confirm and stopped in around 5pm. I found multiple people all at their desk patiently waiting for someone to need help. Fortunately, the rep at the repair desk was not on the phone!!! That elation was quickly deterred when I asked to check on the reservation for the following day and was told that oh, those aren’t reservations but mere “requests” and they would have to confirm. It was nearly closing on Friday and I asked well then at what time would they have decided to call and confirm? He did confirm for me that their was no way they’d be able to do it the next day. If anything I am glad that wasn’t another total waste of my time in an attempt to go there for drop off. So I said well when CAN we drop the vehicle off??? It was going to be at least mid week this week before they had a time. I noted to the rep that I had tried many times to call and always ended up on hold for nearly a half hour every time. He told me oh I always have at least five calls in the cue. Classic example of either extremely lazy customer service or very poor management to put their reps in situations where they cannot even do their job. So I’m stuck now trying to call again as I can’t just always drive down there to simply make them do their job. I’m only putting up with this still because my tires are sitting there!!! I’m about to simply demand my tires and find another store to install. Do not attempt to use AAA or at least this location for any repair or maintenance needs.

Positive experience: I am an out of towner who broke down off Veterans highway at night. Called AAA and they towed my vehicle in to their service center. I got a hotel room an 1st thing in the morning I received a call from them stating that they would push me up earlier because I was stuck in a hotel room. I called several hours later for status and between being on hold and not able to talk with the mechanic doing the job, was told that they needed to get authorization to replace my battery first before any checking was done and then had to wait till a bay opened. ( What happened to moving me up earlier so I could drive home?) Mind you they close at 6 and it's now 5. I had to book another night at the hotel. The next morning I called to confirm that it was being worked on and they said it should be ready around 2:00 but couldn't guarantee it would be done...I had a bunch of luggage with me so I didnt want to go there to sit with everything and then find out that it was something else wrong and having to go back to hotel and lug all my stuff again. I called again after lunch and was given the ok to come. When I got there, the truck was done. Awesome! The people were very nice so the reason for the 3 stars is for phone communication with them. That was very frustrating to say the least. Putting me on hold for long lengths of time and not giving proper status to me was not professional. I made it back home so kudos to the mechanic who fixed my truck!

Fantastic experience: Had some issues with my Jeep Patriot and needed my car towed… my mom allowed me to use her aaa membership and I got my car towed about 75 miles to this location. They had my car and did the free inspection to see what was wrong…. Found out that the issues were super severe. Guy, Adrian and Dominick, (those r the 3 I directly spoke with, talked to)(im sure everyone else is awesome too) but those 3 were so helpful, down to earth and a pleasure to work with. They explained everything and Adrian even took time to help me with my next steps and good cars to look for. This place is awesome, these guys are amazing!

Fantastic experience: Difficult to find a parking space to drop the car off. Must be really busy for a good reason. Dropped the car off for new tires. Job was done by the time it was promised at a good price. People inside were friendly and nice. No complaints. Thank you AAA!

Negative experience: They up sell you on everything. They also use refurbished parts, according to the employee over the phone, these parts are also way overpriced
Fantastic experience: Very clean inside. Friendly, helpful, professional service counter staff. Had a minor issue that they resolved w/o question. Parking is tight, but not much they can do. Business must be good!

Negative experience: This location is the exact opposite of what I would expect from AAA related service and customer care. The entire experience was terrible and it got worse during the pickup experience. Looking through the other recent reviews, I am not surprised others have suffered a similar fate. I had a vehicle with a AAA battery that appeared to be failing. While I was at the dealer, they ran a diagnostic and found the battery cells to be problematic. I called AAA since it was replaced less than a year ago and the roadside arrived, tested and stated it needed a deep charge before a replacement. No problem, he jumped me and I drove to the care center. Dropped it off and waited for the results. A few days later I received a call from Terry who stated the truck battery was indeed faulty, but when it was replaced with a new one, the truck wouldn't start or even attempt. I found that to be extremely strange since no one from the dealer, the roadside, or myself had that issue even with a bad battery. I asked Terry was he sure they were starting it properly, and he kept trying to push a $99 diagnostic because I already received a "free battery." I asked Terry to pull my paperwork and I would be up to check and see what was going on. I arrived today and met a very smug Gaetano (supposed Care Care Manager) who took the key and the fob to the truck and it started right up, no problems. It was clear whoever "tested" the truck didn't have the fob with them as any vehicle with an immobilizer won't start without it. When I mentioned how crazy it was for a service center not to ensure both the key and fob were present to start a modern era vehicle he proceeded to blame me for having a broken key. The dash literally shows you that the fob isn't present before ever turning the key. Subsequently, after a further argument, he said, "well you shouldn't come back until you get your key fixed." Additionally, Gaeton proceeded to alter the ticket with a write up that added "Customer was informed possible problem with the fob, yet when anywhere near the truck, it starts just fine. Piss poor service, piss poor attitude, and no ownership for their mistake. I wouldn't bring my car back there to get windshield wipers put on as I have zero confidence in their work or staff. I'd advise anyone considering it to drive (or get towed) any location but here if you want quality service.

Negative experience: Such poor service!! Our car was towed to this location because it wouldn’t start. My husband suggested several times that the car needed an alternator and they should replace the alternator. The service rep insisted that a starter was needed in order to test the alternator. The starter was replaced and a new battery was installed. I was told the alternator was ok. Picked up the car and it was overheating. No one seemed to know why and the mechanic who apparently worked on the car was gone for the day. We waited until it cooled down then I drove off. A couple days later the car failed to start. We got it towed back to this location and was told the refurbished starter that was installed was faulty. So they replaced it with another refurbished starter. Again, nothing was said about an alternator. The car failed to start again. This time we received a call saying the alternator needed to be replaced. Why??? BECAUSE THE ISSUE WAS THE ALTERNATOR IN THE FIRST PLACE!! Now after paying for the starter they want us to pay for an alternator?? Absurd!! We picked up our vehicle and will never return to this service center. I called to speak with a manager and I’m yet to get a returned call.

Fantastic experience: On our way home to Pittsburgh PA after vacationing in Ocean city with our 6 kids our brakes unexpectedly went out in our suburban on the bay Bridge. My fiance got us to 3 different shops that either turned us down or couldn't get to us that day. We were driving to another shop when we noticed a AAA service center and the guys were extremely nice and got us right so we can take our family home safe .
