Negative experience: Their quality of service has diminished dramatically since they first opened, which is very unfortunate. And it's incidents like these which forces customers to take their business elsewhere. I made a 2:00p appointment for an oil change, tire rotation and courtesy inspection. I had somewhere to be at 5:00p and assumed it should take them no more than 90 minutes since I wasn't having major work done. I also told them I would be waiting for my car. I handed in my keys at 1:55p and got checked out around 4:40p; almost 3 hours later! And the only reason I even got out of there by then is because at 4:15p I asked one gentleman what was taking so long. His answer made no sense, and quite frankly, there shouldn't have been any excuse because I saw my car sitting on the lift unattended for quite some time. Even if there was an issue, no one came to me in the waiting area to provide any updates or explain the delay. To add insult to injury, the technician placed my completed paperwork and keys on an empty desk instead of handing it to the gentleman who was literally sitting at the next table. I had to specifically ask this guy to check me out, which he did so I could get out of there. He was helpful and said he'd email my paperwork since I was in a rush, but I still haven't received it. Needless to say, I didn't make it to my destination by 5:00p! I live over 30 minutes away (without traffic) and go out of my way to patronize this location. I once felt appreciated and well taken care of here, but things have definitely changed. If I'm paying for quality service, which AAA claims to provide, I would expect a higher level of customer care and attentiveness. Otherwise, I could take my car somewhere else and have zero expectations. There was absolutely no concern for my time or my value as a 15-year AAA member on this day. And if this is how they choose to continue to operate, there's no need for me to continue to support this location.

Positive experience: My check tire pressure notice came on. I drove to 4 locations looking for a working air pump. All were broken!! I decided to drive in to AAA car care. I explained my frustration to Andrew, the manager. He came to my rescue. He told me to pull up to the bay wbere one of the technicians put air in my tires! He didn't know I was a previous customer, he just knew I needed help. Thanks Andrew Baylor and AAA car care. BTW-yes I did tip the technician and thanked him as well.

Negative experience: I had appointment for 12PM dropped my car on time. I was told it will take 1.5 hours therefore I decided to come 2 hours later to give them extra time. They told me they haven’t even started. This is absolutely not acceptable. Had I not show up they wouldn’t even start with my car.

Fantastic experience: I was towed in at 7:30am with a flat tire. Unfortunately they had to order my tire and the estimated time was later in the afternoon. Much to my surprise one of the desk staff drove to the warehouse to pick up the tire and I will be finished 2 hours sooner. Amazing customer service

Negative experience: I saw this address while viewing a prior customers review. My experience so far matches the review word for word. I had my car towed to Laurel site Monday August 19th. I called the office in the morning onTuesday the 20th. A woman called later in the morning to ask for the details of the problems; to which I explained. Approximately a few hours later a gentleman called asking the same question. In the afternoon I received a text and email with a summary of what needed repair prior to making any other repairs. I called back and authorized the repairs. The gentleman said they would start the repairs as soon as possible, that was mid-day. In the afternoon I called again to check progress. I was told nothing had started, but to call on Thursday Thursday after 12pm I called to check how things were going. I was told they were still waiting for parts. The gentleman seemed to have an attitude that I called He gave me a tone that I was annoying him. "Don't call us, we'll call you". I am now stuck without a car, no idea of the cost for repairs and left with options of renting a car or using Uber or Lyft. I just want my car returned with whatever repairs are needed to leave. Four days for parts?

Negative experience: I'd like to start by saying I've had good experiences with AAA for the last ten years; however this past experience has been beyond frustrating: We had our car towed to Laurel on Sunday and we had it checked in for service first thing Monday morning. We were quoted what needed to be done in order to make it drivable. We were quoted a little over $1600. Given our financial situation, we asked if we could have the absolute essentials done in order to take the car home in a safe manner. We were originally told we'd have an update on Tuesday. After no communication on Tuesday, we called back Wednesday morning and were told the respective part just arrived and we'd receive a call that afternoon when the car was ready. We were also told that our cost had gone up another $300. Once again, we received no communication or follow-up that day. So we call again Thursday morning (today) and now we're being told that the car still has so many things wrong with it and it's nowhere near ready to drive. We totally understand that it's hard to fully diagnose the problem upon initial inspection, but i think we're mostly frustrated by the lack of communication and follow up of any kind. I would like to shoutout Catherine that we spoke to on the phone who ended up being a really big help last time we talked. I really hope this location can recognize that communication and follow-up with customers is a really big deal and improve in the future. Again, I have had really good experiences with AAA in the past and I hope this was just a one-off.

Negative experience: I just joined AAA a month ago and when my Cadillac Escalade Esv was having a problem I had it towed to the service center in Laurel Maryland. I received a call from AAA. I was advised that I needed a major tune up which didn't make sense with what was going on with my Vehicle. I was told it would cost me 3000 dollars for a tune up. I was also told that he was 80 percent sure it would fix the problem. I said your not 100 percent he said no. At that point I had it towed to another garage and was told that if I would have paid 3000 dollars I would have had the same problem. They advised that other then the spark plugs needing to be changed nothing else on the estimate was correct. I paid 800 dollars and my truck is running perfect. That's just very bad business and seems like they are Purposely trying to rip people off. I feel bad for people who have no idea and other options, especially elderly people. It makes me wonder how many times they have done this to other Customers. I have the written estimate from AAA along with the second estimate and you can clearly see The discrepancies. I would never use there service center for any vehicle work because they just can't be trusted. That is very bad buisness for a business who my mother joined in 1970. I Always thought AAA had a impeccable Reputation. After this I'm not sure. I called a tow truck from AAA before I had my trucked towed to AAA service center and was told I needed a new battery and they said that was the problem and after spending almost 300 dollars it turned out nothing was wrong with my battery and I just wasted almost 300 dollars for no reason at all. For me to be a new member this relationship isn't starting off well. It seems like all they are trying to do is get you to pay large amounts of money very sad for such a large Organization. Again for a mechanic to tell you that He's only eighty percent sure and expect you to pay three thousand dollars is totally unacceptable. For me to have a battery replaced and told that was the problem only to find out nothing was wrong with my battery after paying almost 300 is absolutely wrong. Terrible service and seems like you have crooks working for your Organization. Just trying to take people's money I have all the Documentation to prove my claim. After my one year is up, I definitely will not renew with AAA.

Negative experience: $550 for a car battery. Yes, you read that correctly. They overcharged me about $150 for the battery itself. I brought it to their attention, even down to the part number, and they refused to make a correction. They said if I was unhappy they’ll take the battery out and I can tow it someplace else for service. Unbelievable.

Negative experience: Friendly staff but if you are traveling a long distance do not choose to book an oil change it took over 2 hours. The reason being is because they didn't have the oil filter on site and needed to order it for same day delivery setting us back on our travels.

Negative experience: I had my car towed for a dead battery??? When all I needed was a new battery, took 1 hour for tow truck to reach me when I’m less than 7 minutes away from a shop. Car was leftover night at the shop, next morning I received a phone call and was told they would have a technician check the car out. Received another phone call within minutes saying I would need a new battery, which is exactly why I contacted AAA. After those two phone calls they went dead on me I walked to the shop to see the progress on my vehicle, stated they needed to check the starter and alternator. I was fine with that, but after waiting SEVERAL HOURS for a phone call once I realized I wasn’t getting a phone call I called them over 10 times with no one picking the phone up I walked to the shop extremely frustrated with the service that was “provided” today. Upon receiving my vehicle my cables were missing from my trunk and when I asked for my old battery back one of the mechanics said I would have to pay an additional $50. It’s extremely inconvenient having to miss work due to this poor service! I would never recommend this facility to anybody. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!! if I could give zero stars I wouldn’t even give them that.

Negative experience: I would have to start off by saying that this was my first and will be my last visit to this service center. Had an appointment @8:30 which I arrived for on time, was helped by even Mark Occonnor, my service request was for an oil change and brakes, was asked what time would I like to pick up I emphasized ASAP as I needed my truck for work. I was sent an estimate through text @ 10:10 am for $606. I called in to the service center to confirm all my requests were included in the price, was told that was the wrong amount, so was sent a new estimate @ 10:31am with an amount over 1k. Waited for over 4hrs, called back to check on status and Mike answered told me he would call me back in 4 mins that he had a customer in front of him, never received a call back. I kept calling to the service center, called over 7 times and no answer, so I decided to drive up to the service because it was already past 5pm and knew closing time was @ 6pm. When I walked in I asked for Mark and was told he left at 4pm! So I would say that the lack of communication and or follow up is unacceptable. My vehicle was just sitting there for hours and no one called to notify me with a status nor completion of service. I wonder what would’ve happened if I never have showed up?? I spent over 1k for a service that I couldn’t even get a call back for. I never received a call for the incorrect amount of the estimate, I did. Never received a call to let me me know status and or completion of my truck , I did. Mark’s service was unsatisfactory and unacceptable, being the face of an establishment as a Mgr. clients should be priority and not leaving like there is no value to our business as the clients that make the business.

Positive experience: The work was done on a timely basis and all repairs were clearly pointed out on my receipt as well as suggested items to address. My only complaint was that they didn't return my 5 year battery that they replaced and it was only a year and a half old. I had planned on returning it to the auto parts store for a credit. They said the recycle person picked it up earlier. I pointed out I wanted the battery. Otherwise my rating would be higher.

Positive experience: Laurel has a lot of car repair shops, but this one is pretty nice inside and has SAE mechanics, so it is always busy. A rest room you would not mind using, for example... Becoming so busy that they are starting to skip over inspections they say they are going to do, just to meet their appointment demands daily. Be wary.

Negative experience: Today we brought back an item for a refund with a receipt, card and physical ID as well as the item unopened. At time of purchase we were told it was returnable as we specifically asked because we were unsure if we would use it. Today upon asking for a return we were instructed "I just work here and to see a manager next Monday." Disappointing service and lack of training. Negative experience: Very poorly managed. Takes time to get assistance on the service side. Advertised oil change Bogo. Went it and ask for the price of one oil change since it wasn't in the ad. They said to wait, after an hour inquired again, they said they already about to start, that it's $105 for oil change in a sonic. Outrageous. Even a Dealer doesn't charge that much

Positive experience: I am giving a 3 because communication with customers is lacking. I dropped my car off at noon on Tuesday for a gas cap (diagnostic) and did not get it back until Thursday around 1:30 pm. Had it been diagnosed at my noon appointment time on Tuesday perhaps they would have found out earlier what was wrong and the gas cap could have been ordered that day and I could have gotten my car back in 24 hours. Better communication on the process is needed.

Fantastic experience: I called in for an insurance quote and was greeted by Chanel who is absolutely awesome, very friendly, and helpful. She was able to provide me with quotes for my many autos, motorcycles, and home owners insurance. I felt like I was finally "In Good Hands" after being with Allstate for over 19 years and Progressive for two years. She was able to match my coverages and beat the prices of both my previous companies. All goes to prove that staying loyal only puts money in the pockets of executives and stock holders. This is the second time since having her as an agent that I requested a follow-up from Chanel Haynes with not as much as a phone call or email from her. Positive experience: They repaired me vehicle, it was somewhat pocket efficient, however it broke again the next day but they repaired it again and it has held up for a week. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the location is nice

The office Team was so friendly and flexible, and the auto Team helped us figure out what each car needed and was not just checking boxes. Negative experience: Did work awhile back on my vehicles suspension and they put the wrong part on my truck so I'm stuck with my suspension warning system on.They also lost my rim hub cap so that's more money down the drain.I will never return to this location..

Negative experience: Just left this location very upset. Had a wonderful towing experience into the location but I was greeted by Beverly :) thank you. She told me to speak to car care. I approached the desk telling the representative the issues when a guy intrusive interjected our conversation and started asking questions. He told me that just having my one free hour of diagnosing would be pointless if it’s gonna be longer. All in all he didn’t want to do it! He was very rude and tells customers they will be spending hundreds and thousands after speaking to him. He very aggressive verbally and adds to it by his facial expressions m. Who ever hired that guy needs to immediately get I. Touch with him and write him up. It wasn’t about the money it was the customer service for me! I left this location and was able to receive the proper care for my vehicle. It was way to aggressive speaking to a women with a child and it made me feel like my car was not in the best care. Please remove this individual as AAA will have many ppl walking out with that behavior of his!!!

Fantastic experience: As a AAA member they provided a courtesy auto evaluation. The price beat the dealership by more than 50%. This due by eliminating unecessary repairs advised by the dealership and discounted cost. They did the work in a timely fashion and provided parts replaced for my keeping if desired. Great guarantee on the work done as well. 24,000 miles or 2 years. The staff is professional, courteous and kept you informed. Gold Star all the way.

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible service. Called AAA to tow my car to the Jeep dealership originally, AAA customer service up sold us to just take the car to one of THEIR auto shops. Be careful because if something goes wrong they will claim to have no affiliation with their service and will say they can not help with anything to do with the auto shop. So do not make a decision based off the affiliation with AAA roadside assistance, they claim to have nothing to do with the shop if something goes wrong. Moving along, the auto shop changed the quote by $400 after the work was started...I don't know if the issue was the mechanic or Elena the front desk employee. They said they "forgot" to include some of the labor... Very unprofessional. Then proceeded to try to upsell me. Recommended over $1200 of work that half of the work recommended was not necessary AT ALL. To top it off... they didn't even do the work completely so I brought it back after work 20 mins before they close so they can see what needs to be fixed ..Corinna the assistant manager said noone was available after dismissing the mechanic in front of me after he asked if there was anything else to do. Proceeded to then tell me I would have to leave the car... I would not have scheduled to pick it up if it wasn't ready. The inconvenience this has caused to a small business owner of a successful company is ridiculous. Come to find out they clearly didn't test drive the car AFTER it was fixed and drivable to ensure the problem was completely solved. After dropping it off, called me within an hour and told me a WHOLE bunch of issues that was not on the recommended list and would be ANOTHER $2000 extra atleast. The car will be right back to having the same issue due to them not completely fixing the cars issue that relates directly with the front end and what they have TEMPORARILY fixed. I even mentioned some of the issues listed that had to do with the control arm when I first originally dropped off the car and they proceed to act like I didn't know what I was talking about. Unfortunately that was a CONCERNED issue on the final look through that I had to request after dropping the car off the second time. Talked to the manager and he was very inconsiderate, rude and condescending instead of apologizing that they did not test drive the car AFTER the work was complete and drivable. All he kept referring to was how the car was not drivable when I originally dropped it off. No sense of accountability. Then proceeded to say "well we gave you $200 off"...very unprofessional as all AAA clients get 10% off. Ofcourse it wasn't drivable originally... AAA would not have towed it there if it was. Overall the amount of inexperience from the "forgetting to add labor to the quote", unprofessionalism from the inconsistent phone calls and rude management, and the over all horrible customer service from the shop to the AAA customer service reps who will unclaim the auto shop in a second, are just some of the reasons that this place should NEVER be TRUSTED with your vehicle. DO NOT VISIT and be careful with putting your trust into shops just because of a long term relationship you have had with AAA roadside assistance. Speaking from personal experience...it will not go well. All you'll take away from it is shock from a manager saying you should have taken it to another shop. Will be call AAA corporate. Stay safe this summer and hope you all have a great 2021!

Negative experience: STAY AWAY! They’ll damage your cars!!! After a few years of decent mechanical repairs for multiple vehicles at this location, I decided to trust them with simple headlamp restorations. BAD IDEA! They sanded into the front bumpers of two cars, causing close to $1800 worth of damage between the two! Both bumpers have to be removed and repaired with multiple gouges, sanding damage, and the grill was covered with product splatter. Making it worse, the headlamp restoration is awful! Lazy, sloppy, and careless work. Anyone with any auto body experience can tell it was NOT taped and covered properly. I’ve requested they pay for the repairs but have not heard back. Sorry AAA, you lost a customer and I’ll be sure to tell everyone you DAMAGE CARS.

Fantastic experience: Best broken car experience I have ever had! As a AAA Member they towed my smoking car to their repair place. They determined what was definitely wrong and discussed it with me as it was an older car and I was not sure what I wanted to do. Once I made a decision to have it fixed the car was ready a day early and because I am a member it was much cheaper than originally quoted. Overall I would highly recommend this place for integrity and for speed of service.

Fantastic experience: They were able to see me quickly. I think it was because of it being between a holiday and a Sunday so there wasn't a lot of people. They were quick in identifying the problem and up front with the costs and even showed what was causing it. The staff was personable and friendly. Couldn't recommend them enough.

Negative experience: Very disappointed in this AAA. I had my car towed to this location since it was the closest to me, I walk over to get checked in and right off the bat they told me they couldn't help me.
