Positive experience: Had a passport appointment here. The staff were very friendly and the process was going well at first. Unfortunately after the process was done, it could not be completed as an employees id card was not working after someone said it would. Had to redo the entire process. Still didn't take too long and wasn't that bad of an experience.

Negative experience: They dropped the ball in getting an ID Card and Binder to the dealer so the customer could get the car on time.

Fantastic experience: I called in the middle of a very cold night and they were there to help within 30 minutes. Just be sure to get the plus version of the service. Their basic service will only tow you 2 or 3 miles before they charge you. The plus version will get you 100 miles.

Terrible phone service,and reading other reviews, I see the same lame response from AAA. I guess I’ve waisted my money,these last25 years. When I’m do for renewal, I will just not pay. Oh yeah, I’ve also been paying for my kids. Say goodbye AAA, to the dollars you have collected, and apparently to what I’ve waisted.(?)

Positive experience: I wish I had the name of the person who attempted to assist me with obtaining an E-ZPass, unfortunately she didn't give her name, although she gave me hope by giving alternative phone numbers to inquire methods to procure and where it could be gained. If you read this, "thank you". Question: why must one give up so much personal information for an E-ZPass? Phone number, physical address, e-mail, check routing number, credit card number?

Negative experience: I simply went into AAA to have two documents notarized. I have been a member of that AAA for almost 30 years! I was asked to produce my license, AAA card and credit card. I quickly produced all 3 and was told that because my credit card didn't have a signature she couldn't use it. I would need one with a signature. I told her I had a company card in the car which I went out to get. When I got back to her she said she couldn't accept that and that I either needed a library card or my passport. This is to simply get two documents notarized of which my license has my signature and my credit card has my signature And I've been a member of AAA for almost 30 years. It was a ridiculous way to handle a situation and Even after producing what she asked still not getting the documents notarized. I will not be back and am seriously considering dropping AAA. There are other services out there.

Negative experience: 9:53 am on 7/15/19. I was on waiting for someone to answer the phone for some ticket Information for 45 minutes. Wile I drive to aaa In hamden I get there there are 3 people on there computer desk and other 3 people talking in a group. And still waiting in there line for another 5 minutes before they can attend me. Bad bad

Fantastic experience: It's been a year since my last review of the AAA in Hamden, CT. This time I went to have a document notarized. Still a good, airy, organized, plenty of parking to visit and do business with. Sad that there's no DMV office there anymore! The staff was helpful with my needs. Not busy at the time so I didn't have long to wait.

Positive experience: While the service was friendly, I did sit around waiting for a while after my license photo was taken. A girl who had walked in 15 mins after me received her new license at the same time mine was ready. My new one obviously sat unnoticed for 15 mins, while I sat there waiting for it. And I am a AAA member.
