Fantastic experience: We had a great experience with this rental company. We travel to the mountains alot, this company was very easy to work with, accommodated an early check in based on availability, and answered follow-up questions that we had regarding the very comfortable bed tops that we wanted to buy after sleeping on the beds at our cabin. Will use them again.

Positive experience: Customer service was great. Location was a little difficult to access, but this was shared by the rental company beforehand. Cabin was lovely; clean, well stocked, peaceful. Hot tub was fabulous!

Fantastic experience: We stayed at the Joyful Altitude cabin near Blue Ridge and it was awesome! Clean, spacious, comfy, and beautifully decorated. Kitchen is well appointed which made cooking fun and easy. Perfect for our family of 10. Mountain views with trees all around, fire pit, balconies, hot tub, and game room. We explored Blue Ridge, Elijay and Copperhill. Fun trip and excellent cabin.

The check in and check out process was super easy and the cabins they have are just amazing (Aska Adventure Cabin is the one we chose!) We have been coming to Blue Ridge for the past 4 years and this was the best cabin yet! We will be renting it again in the Fall! We just got back from another trip and Mountain Top Cabin Rentals was awesome yet again! They even came out and blew off all the leaves from our fire pit after all the wind and rain! Top Notch! Tucked Away Cabin was just that! Easy access and super clean! A new hot tub would make this place the absolute best!!

Fantastic experience: It was the perfect weekend getaway. Awesome Creek cabin exceeded all expectations. It’s cozy, peaceful and was beautifully decorated for Christmas. It was impeccably clean and had everything we needed. The views are outstanding and we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing on the outdoor deck and loved the evenings in the hot tub! Couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Fantastic experience: I've been here three times in each time and every different cabin. I've been very satisfied. The town is lovely. I really enjoyed myself. If you ever want to be off the grid with a small town fell. This is the place?. There are so many other places to visit but there's something so sweet and so rememberable about this place that I will fly if I have to just to book winery. Awesome! They even have an apple picking place that sells so many things. They also have a lot of restaurants, especially like the pink pig. However, book a weekend with your family or book a weekend with just you and your wife and or life partner either or it will not disappoint you. When I first got to these cabins I accidentally spilled water on the floor. I used the white paper towel to clean it up and long behold. There was no dirt. The paper towel remain white. That's what I call clean. Clean. Please book and enjoy

Fantastic experience: I stayed in "Love Affair" as a solo trip...the place was absolutely beautiful and super clean. It smelled amazing when I first came in the door. The bed was very comfortable, and the movie room downstairs is a nice touch! The woman that was at the desk at check in was very sweet and helpful, and when I had questions prior to coming they were very quick to respond. I was very pleased with my stay, and will be using them again if I come back to Blue Ridge!

Fantastic experience: We rented Appalachian Getaway. We could not have been more pleased. We had to reschedule our trip because of Covid and the office was extremely helpful. Our cabin was perfect, super clean and very comfortable. We will definitely be back and will rent from Mountain Top again.

Negative experience: July 2023 - Beware - Awesome Creek Cabin had a variety of different bugs, including roaches inside. Ongoing issue we were told, owner came and sprayed to no avail. Spent an awful week in a bug infested cabin.

Fantastic experience: This was our fifth time staying with MTCR. NYE 2023. What can I say other than as usual, everything was perfect. This was our second stay in Refined Rustic and it does not disappoint. The cabins are always spotless upon arrival. In the next month or so we will be booking our next stay. Already looking forward to it.

Fantastic experience: Our family group of 10 rented Five Star Lodge cabin through Mountain Top Cabin Rentals December 15-18th, 2022. We were extremely pleased with the ease of working with Nikki at MTCR. She was fantastic in answering every question we had and also responded promptly. As for the cabin, Five Star Lodge, it was amazing! We travel often and have stayed at some incredible properties throughout the world. But I must say, Five Star Lodge was definitely that and more! It truly exceeded our expectations! In addition to the many amenities mentioned in the rental listing, there were so many other thoughtful little surprises that were included. Every bathroom included a hair dryer and hand soap as well as an array or toiletries. Every bedroom had a large television, a very comfortable bed with extremely soft sheets, extra pillows and cuddly blankets, if needed. There was a wireless whole-house Sonos sound system that could play in any individual or all rooms - a nice surprise for playing Christmas tunes throughout the cabin! The kitchen was a dream with its oversized gas range, two sinks and two dishwashers - perfect for cleaning up after our large group! Other thoughtful amenities included every size pot or pan, prep bowl and utensil desired for cooking! Nothing was overlooked, not even a garlic press! This cabin truly was luxury lodging at its best! We thoroughly enjoyed the fireplace(s) and hot tub. A favorite spot was one of the three lounging swings found on either the expansive deck or one of the balconies off either upstairs bedroom. The cabin was so spacious and peaceful. Our family group of ten never felt crowded since the cabin has two floors of family living space. The main floor has a large open space with cable television and buttery-soft leather sectional sofa with loads of pillows and a basket full of blankets for lounging by the fireplace. The downstairs family room also has a large television, sectional sofa, a fireplace, a pool table, shuffleboard table, and bar area with mini-fridge and yet another television. The pool table was central to each day's activities for our family of competitive sports fanatics! We had a wonderful time together celebrating the holiday season. We will definitely return to Five Star Lodge - but plan to stay longer next time!

Fantastic experience: I rented Joyful Altitude for a long weekend with 5 of my class of 1979 college buddies. Without a doubt this was the nicest property I have ever stayed at, mountains, beach, anywhere!!! It was very new, clean, and huge with 4 bedrooms and sleeps 6+ comfortably. It also was stocked with more than any rental I've stayed in with kitchen stuff. The views, the cabin, and the great time we had b/c of the beautiful property were incredible. Everything was seamless and the office folks had everything prepared. This is my second time renting with MTCR and I will do it again. Kudos to the cabin owners of Joyful Altitude as well, they take care of their property in every way. Amazing!

Fantastic experience: The cabin is very well maintained, clean, comfy, cozy, plenty of room. Perfect family/friend getaway. Hot tub was clean and perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Plus it was only 10 minutes max away from downtown Blue Ridge.

Fantastic experience: We stayed at Fightingtown Creek Lodge during the last week of March and although the weather was still a bit cool, the cabin was wonderful!! It was probably one of the best stocked and equipped cabins we have ever stayed in. Lots of little details that were handled for us by the rental company made a huge difference in the overall comfort level of the cabin. The cabin was very clean and tidy, and the creek's sound below was simply mesmerizing. The office staff was friendly and the entire transaction went very smoothly. I highly recommend Mountain Top Cabin Rentals!!

Negative experience: DONT STAY IN THESE UNITS. They are infested with lady bugs, fleas and wasps. Front desk doesn’t care and neither do owners. Save the money and book else where. Mold in bathrooms due to water.

Negative experience: Booked the Whispering Water Lodge back on October 6th, 2021 to stay during Spring Break, March 13th-17th, 2022. Just received an email (not a phone call) about an hour ago stating that the Whispering Water Lodge is coming off of their rental program and will no longer be available; that gives us about a 40 day notice to try to rebook something that we booked MONTHS ago, probably during one of their peak seasons. In the email, they included 3 other properties, none of which were comparable. After discussing with my husband, we decided to call Mountain Top to see if they have any cabins that are comparable to the one we booked. We spoke to Alisha, who was VERY dismissive and told us no there aren't any other ones available besides the 3 they sent over. In the 3 minutes Alisha was on the phone with us, she never once apologized for the inconvenience, never attempted to even try to look for a comparable option, never offered a credit to try to book another time, nor did she explain why the cabin we booked back in October, was no longer available. She did say they would refund our deposit 100%, so I will make sure that happens. As someone who owns a luxury beach vacation rental, I would be appalled by this Property Management company if they were representing my house and maybe that's why this home is no longer with them. We will go to Blue Ridge. GA, but we will definitely not book through Mountain Top. Anyone reading this, sounds like a perfect opportunity to start a Property Management Company in the North GA area and all you have to do is have GREAT customer service, show some empathy, call someone (not email) them when you're telling them their booking has been canceled, and you can easily put this company out of business!

Fantastic experience: Breathtaking views. Friendly towns. Loved the wooded privacy cabin. Many cabins to choose from. If you have a particular cabin you wish to stay in: I'd recommend making your reservation asap. This cabin trip was on my bucket list. But I must return sometime soon.

Fantastic experience: This is hands down the best cabin rental agency we've tried. Their website is easy to navigate. It provides detailed information and pictures for every cabin. You're contacted promptly after booking a reservation. The staff members are all courteous and professional. They make the check-in process so simple and provide you with information on where to obtain groceries/supplies. Emergency staff members are available 24 hours. If you're looking for a nice rustic cabin experience in Northern Georgia, then this is the rental agency.

Negative experience: There's two main issues but MTCR only sees one. The two issues are a refund I requested and unsafe conditions I reported. We stayed in a room that is on the second floor of a restaurant. That part is described on the website; however, in order to make it to our room, we have to enter the restaurant from the back which also serves as the restaurant's handicap entrance. You then go upstairs, unlock a door to a hallway where you'll unlock another door to your room. At night we rely on a restaurant employee to lock the downstairs door. to the public. In other words, if the restaurant employee doesn't lock the door anyone can walk in. Also, the first door upstairs is basically the same thing. If one of the other guests does not lock the door then anyone has access to the rooms through a flimsy lock. The locks are flimsy in the entire property. I requested a refund of our stay based on the following things: 1) the property is loud at night (the restaurant employees cleaning at night, continuously slamming the door) 2) all three rooms share access to the thermostat 3) the hallway has a bright light that shines underneath the the door (the door has a big gap underneath allowing the light to beam through). The switch for the light is in the hallway. I turned it off and another guest turned it right back on. 4) unsafe conditions. The refund was rejected and my concerns were unaddressed until I wrote an email advising I reached out to the city of Blue Ridge re the unsafe conditions and I was referred to the assistant police chief. I finally received a response from the owner saying she found it hard to believe I stayed both nights although I felt unsafe. This reaffirms they have no idea who's coming in and out because we actually stayed one night. Tabetha also said it was hard to believe I reached out a week and a half later. In my response to that I offered to share my schedule with her to help her understand. I didn't know I needed someone to validate my busy, full time working, mom schedule.

Fantastic experience: Easy to get to. Cabin was cleaned. Price is decent.

Positive experience: Mountain View Lodge was absolutely awesome, it definitely lives up to its name. The view was fantastic and the cabin was beautiful. If a couple minor things are taken care of, we'll definitely stay there again. There is terrible water pressure, the sinks & toilets all backed up regularly and the mattress in the upstairs is so worn & broken down it looks like waves across the bed.

Fantastic experience: Planned our second trip with them recently for next year and really looking forward to it. We will be planning a family trip soon as well. The company is prompt in returning emails and are equally helpful on the phone. Our first stay, which was at the Awesome Creek cabin, was fantastic. The cabins are comfortably furnished and the views/settings are wonderful. We always rent one that has a hot tub for that extra level of relaxation. Another reason I really like this company is their flexibility when it comes to rescheduling your trip.

Fantastic experience: We stayed at Creekside Hideaway in the summer. Very clean. All items for kitchen you could need. Great open kitchen and living area. Plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 kids. Kids slept in the loft. Foosball table and ping pong was lots of fun. They have a spa which was excellent to relax in. 2 different porches on 2 levels to sit and take in the sounds of the creek. There’s an area where you can fairly easily walk into the creek. Nice and refreshing. Easy drive into town- about 10 min or so.

Negative experience: For the last few years my family and I have rented cabins from Mountain Top Cabin rentals for our family vacations each year without any issues. I recently rented a cabin months in advance for myself and 7 others to celebrate my birthday. A deposit was paid and the cabin was booked. A few weeks later I received an email, not a phone call to advise me that my cabin of choice was no longer available. I was told that there was only one other cabin (Echo Lodge)to accommodate 8 people during the dates that I had requested, and it would be an upcharge. Since all nonrefundable flights were booked and paid for by this time we decided to book Echo Lodge and paid the additional money. When we arrived at our cabin Echo Lodge we noticed huge moving ants all over the floors, ants on the counter tops in the kitchen area. Ants were in the bathroom toilets and showers. Ants were in the beds. Spiders were hanging from the fans in the rooms over the beds. Dust was everywhere and it was a total nightmare for me and my other guests. There were bug bait traps all throughout the inside of the cabin , which means that Mountain Top Cabin rentals were fully aware of the issues in advance, but yet they still offered to rent me this cabin without making me aware of the infestation issues with Echo Lodge. I immediately contacted the company to advise them of the issues as this was a total nightmare for me and my other guests. I was told that the company was already aware of the ant issues hints the bug bait traps everywhere in the cabin. I was told that I would need to contact the office during business hours and that he would come out to the cabin and spray the following day. I was told that they were already waiting on an exterminator to come out there weeks ago, but they didn't know when that would happen. The following day I called the office and I talk with Ms. D Taylor who claimed to be the property manager. She advised me that there was absolutely nothing they could do for me. I was told that the huge ants are harmless and that I could go purchase some bug spray. The company only offered to reimburse me for the bug spray amount which I never received. I was told spider webs and dust would come back immediately after they dust them down so they would not be doing anything about that issue as well. This cabin appeared have not been maintained by the amout of bugs, dust, spiders and spider webs inside of EchoLodge. At times during our cabin rental experience in Echo Lodge, we would find ants and other bugs crawling on our legs and backs. Don't waste your money or time renting from this company as they don't value their customers. Update: In response to the owners response to my review dated 07/23/2021. There was not and still has not been a single solution offered to us as it relates to the bug issues or overall experience we had with that cabin. It is still unclear to me how the company feels that they assisted us with this issue.

Fantastic experience: We've stayed in the same cabin (Southern Comfort) twice and loved it both times. Beautiful views, clean and well-maintained cabin with great amenities! Fire pit, pool table, hot tub, great kitchen. I've recommended these cabin many times to friends and family! What's not to love?!

Negative experience: Just because you pay the deposit and receive a confirmation email, doesn't mean you definitely have a cabin reservation. Their system is unreliable, and they ended up telling us that the cabin we booked and paid for with receipt wasn't actually available for the dates we booked it. This happened a week after our reservation, and we'd already booked our flights. And to make matters worse, they weren't very apologetic and didn't truly own the issue. My friend who recommended them is very disappointed, and we are as well. There are too many nice cabin rentals available from other companies for us to feel comfortable using Mountain Top again. The only positive is that we did receive a full refund.

Fantastic experience: I’ve booked several cabins through this company and even referred a friend.....THEY’VE YET TO DISAPPOINT!!! Cabins looked just like the photos and were very clean. They also list whether a 4X4 is needed which is super helpful. They also do contactless check in with a packet with everything you need. I’ll be booking again in the near future. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

Fantastic experience: Customer service is impeccable! Never needed them during the stay but interacted a few times prior with my questions. We spent a week in the fireside vista cabin. The place was better than advertised, great views and lots of added touches that really make it comfortable and relaxing. Dog friendly cabin, and such a quiet area. In a weeks time I only heard three vehicles. Lots to see and do in Blue Ridge and the surrounding areas. Make sure you visit the apple orchard!

Fantastic experience: Really nice experience! We came in after hours and were easily able to get our keys. Do not follow Google maps for directions to your cabin, I repeat do not....!!! It will take you to some back entrance that needs a code to get into, that's not it! Make sure you use the directions given in your packet when you get your keys. Cabin 211 was amazing and was very very clean! Had a nice game room on the bottom floor. I loved all the black bear decor, very cute! I will definitely use this place again!

Fantastic experience: I was very pleased with my stay at Echo Lodge.. The property is beautiful and very clean. My only complaint is - there is contactless entry, however you have to go the office to retrieve your check in packet. Check-in is at 3 p.m., but you can't get packet until 3 p.m. Which results in no one ever checking in a 3 p.m., because you are at the office at that time! Everything that is in the packet, could be included in an email. Coming to the office ( a drive in the opposite direction of cabin) is pointless.

The staff are professional, diligent and very responsive - they even contacted us during a previous stay to inform us of pending bad weather! Mountain Escape Cabin was beautiful, immaculate and every detail was as mentioned in its description on-line. We so enjoyed every minute there and definitely will return again (as we have already) to Mountain Top! Thanks for being such a great company!

Negative experience: I was pleased with my entire process up until the day of check in. I wasn’t happy with how the situation of bedding was handled. My cabin changed during my reservation process. I wasn’t fully informed of this properly. The way the instance was handled once I was fully informed that the cabin no longer slept 10 due to the removal of a sleeper sofa (Removed 3 months prior to my stay and I only found out upon checkin), at which point the representative thought an apology was enough... though I did appreciate the apology having to tell one of my guests they were sleeping on a couch now or sleep on a couch myself was upsetting. It felt as though there was no remorse for the situation. When the rep asked me what I suggested I mentioned first someone delivering an air mattress which I was told no there are none on site and they would not deliver one from the office. Then I said well maybe a night off of my stay to which I was laughed at and told that is completely unheard of and would never happen. So as a final try to answer her question I said maybe a credit toward a future trip. She declined that as well and stated that 10 percent off should be good and that it would “more than cover an air mattress and I could even keep the air mattress” To which I said fine because at this point I’ve got my guests arriving and don’t want this issue to spill over into our time together. I would also like to add that I paid around $700 for the cabin and my refund was around $45.... which I was also displeased with because I bought a $50 air mattress because my guests deserve a decent air mattress paired with the thinking that 10% of what I paid to book would cover that only to find... it did not. Lucky me though, I get to keep the air mattress. I had a lot of people looking for my review of the cabins but I will be telling them all of my experience and that I do not recommended due to this issue. The cabin was beautiful and location was great. It was just very unfortunate at how this situation was handled. The attitude of the rep was frustrating. It was as though she thought it was not a big deal and laughed at me about things... very rude. Do not recommend.

Fantastic experience: Best place to rent from in Blue Ridge. We’ve used them the last 4 years and always have had a great experience. The staff is super nice and courteous. Every cabin we’ve been to is always nice. This year we stayed in Creekside Hideaway and loved it as usual.

Negative experience: I booked a cabin 3 months ahead of time. 5 weeks before my date, I received a call saying the owner of the property sold the cabin and was closing days before we were to stay there. Mountain Top Cabin Rentals didn't have any other available cabins for our group size, said if any other cancelations came up I would get first offer. They also offered to switch dates, but we had guests flying from Florida and already requested time off from work. They would refund my money and here I am scrambling to find another cabin for my girlfriend's 40th birthday. Thankfully I found something larger and cheaper on VRBO within hours. Read the fine print, this same situation can happen to any potential renter and leave you scrambling. So much for planning ahead...

Fantastic experience: Would absolutely recommend! Check in amd out was contactless which was nice considering the pandemic. Everything was super clean. Pictures of cabin were accurate. Company was quick to respond to my questions via email. Stayed at Fightingtown Creek Lodge and it was perfect for a 3 generation stay. The gates at the stairs were a really nice safety feature. The cousins, 4 and 6, had so much fun in the game room and down at the creek and fire pit that we never ended up leaving the cabin the entire week. Driveway was really steep and my SUV had a "fun" time trying to get up it (especially with all the leaves covering it). We can't wait to go back next year though!

Positive experience: Was off to a bad start when we get there we had to call for our check in the person did day sorry she didn't realize the time. Then instructions to get up mountain to our rental were confusing. After that was great place with a nice view of the mountains.

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience with Mountain Top Cabin Rentals. They offer pet-friendly cabins, and our dog was very happy with the cabin we rented. We were happy as well; check-in was contactless and the cabin had obviously just been thoroughly cleaned, which is important to us during COVID with a more vulnerable family member. The cabin was well-appointed with a grill, hot tub, air hockey table, and lots of board games. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need, even a waffle maker! Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: We stayed at Awesome Creek for three nights. Everything was nice and clean when we got there. The creek was absolutely amazing. The wifi password was kinda hard to find. That was the only issue we had the entire stay. We told all our friends about our trip and we already scheduled a group trip to one of the larger cabins next year.

Positive experience: The cabin we rented was not cleaned well. Dust everywhere! The Chandelier, kitchen cabinets, base boards were full of dust. Also offered 6th night free but our cabin was booked for 6th night, no other accommodation was offered. Not impressed with this company.

Fantastic experience: My family and I stayed in Chasing Dreams cabin in June and we loved every minute of it. I will recommend Mountain Top Cabin Rentals to all of my friends and family. There customer service is outstanding.

Fantastic experience: I have rented cabins with Mountain Top Cabin Rentals for several years. Their website shows a great representation of the homes offered. Their staff is very helpful. The homes are always super clean and just as I expect. Blue Ridge and the surrounding area is a great vacation destination, for couples and for families.

Negative experience: This place was not worth the money, we rented refined rustic, the cabin was nice but there were some issues, We thought there would A hot tub were promised 3 times that a technician would be out to look at it, he showed up as we were leaving after 3 days of not having it. We did play pool although it was a pretty tight space. The one thing that really was upsetting was the fact that they do not tell you there is a neighbor within eye shot of the cabin it is NOT secluded and there were ATVs riding right behind us while we were trying to have a Fire late at night! A friendly notice would have been appreciated! We had no idea who they were, it was a bit spooky, they drove really slow behind us, for what? and it was around 9:30 at night, very invasive! There are cameras up on the trees which was also a little disturbing what are you watching for? For the money we paid I felt like it should have been a better experience. I will not go back.

Fantastic experience: Our family of three stayed at rushing waters retreat for 6 nights. From first booking the cabin to picking up our welcome package from the after hours box and checking out, it was a completely seamless experience. Communication was great, the cabin was awesome and clean. We swam in the creek behind the house a few times.

Fantastic experience: My daughter and I spent a week in the Bear Creek Hideaway cabin. Easily the best vacation we have ever had. The Mountain Top Cabin people were so friendly and helpful! The cabin was beautiful, the scenery was unbelievable, when I broke something and reported it, they fixed it right away and were so sweet about it! We will definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: Stayed at Echo Lodge in Blue Ridge, GA. The house is OUTSTANDING. Gorgeous views, extremely comfortable and relaxing bedrooms with big bathrooms. Massive outside decks. Hot tub. Fire pit. Game room. Easy drive to town. Positively stunning interior with Chef's kitchen. Newer build. You get so much for your money out of this one place. I can't wait to come back with my family.
