Positive experience: The ice machine broke and never worked

Fantastic experience: My daughter was doing clinical work in Largo for 2 months and needed a reasonably priced place to stay. The Belleair Motel was right across the street, which was very convenient. She rented an apartment and it was perfect for her. King sized bed, large living room, full kitchen and a dining area. Very clean. Our family came down for the first week and stayed with her. The heated pool was fantastic and we never had to go far to hit a beach or any other attraction. We enjoyed our brief stay and my daughter enjoyed her extended stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I especially appreciated the calming reassurance I received when I called the front desk with questions as my daughter rode out her first hurricane. They were right. She was safe :) I would recommend the Belleair Motel to anyone visiting the area, but most especially if an extended stay is needed.

Fantastic experience: It has been our pleasure to stay at Belleair Village Motel for the past 6+ weeks. We have appreciated and enjoyed many aspects of our extended visit. This is a traditional old-style 2-story Mom & Pop motel from the 60's that retains it's timeless charm. The owner/manager family has taken great care of this motel since 1979. They are very thoughtful and helpful in assuring a good visit. The apartments are clean, comfortable, and functional; Zero bugs of any kind; Fire alarms and pest-control spraying of every apartment is routine. The pool area and grounds are attractive, with 6 varieties of palm trees, and a large well-maintained pool. This is a virtual oasis, with egrets, ibis, a stork, parrots, and other birds in residence. This is a very convenient central location for bicycling, shopping, and visiting the nearby beaches, Pinellas Botanical Gardens & Heritage Village, and other recreational areas and attractions. The scenic 45-mile-long Pinellas bike and hiking paved-trail is located 1000-feet (1-block) west of the motel. Can easily and safely pedal south to St. Pete, and north to Clearwater, Dunedin, and Tarpon Springs. Nearby Rosary Road, and other East-West roads are quick and easy routes to beautiful Belleair Bluffs, to view the bay and sunsets. The motel is located on the west side of Clearwater-Largo Road, which is quiet at night but busy during working hours. There are good restaurants, a convenience store, and a fruit stand within walking distance, and other shopping within 2 miles. Clearwater and Largo hospital facilities are less than 3-miles away, making this an optimum location for post-operation recoveries. It is 1.2 miles / 5 minutes to HCA Largo Hospital, and 2.3 miles / 7 minutes, to Morton Plant hospital in Clearwater. The living area has couches, tables, lay-Z-boy recliner, lamps and cable TV and fast Wi-Fi; There is a dining table area with ceiling fan; Bedroom with large closet, headboard tables and lamps and dresser; Bath-tub with shower; And a fully equipped kitchen, with full-size refrigerator-freezer, oven, stove, microwave; and cooking pans, plates, bowls, prep knives, & utensils. Screened windows in all rooms are easy to open for fresh air and breezes. Thoughtful, personable maid-service is available each day. We are staying an additional 2 weeks, and look forward to future visits in the coming months.

Fantastic experience: Very nice reasonable place to stay and guests are very friendly & staff are very nice.My parents stayed here in the 1980's 1990's and 2000's when they came down from Long Island to visit us.They swam in the beautiful pool all of the time.My Children were alot younger & joined my Parents to go swimming.This place is local to everything & very safe as well.I absolutely love the Belleair Village Resort.

Fantastic experience: I stayed here for almost a year while traveling for work and have nothing but great things to say about this place. Def a diamond in the rough with great prices and staff. I will be returning on my visits to the Clearwater/largo area. 10 mins from Indian rocks beach and pinellas trail around the corner if you like to bike or walk.

Negative experience: Beware! I am shocked that the reviews for this motel are decent. The only good points that I can make are that the manager or maybe owner was very kind and he gave our money back after we complained about the horrible odor of probably 50 years of smoke permeating from the walls. It was making all of us feel sick and was triggering my sister's asthma. The place did seem clean and I searched for bugs and didn't find any. The pool looked decent. The vinyl couch and chairs in the room, need to be thrown out. They are so old and in bad shape, and look like they're the original furniture from the 70's. There were people sitting on the balcony smoking dope. The two gas stations nearby said they don't sell liquor due to the high crime in that area. So beware of crime. There were a number of men just hanging around, outside of one of those gas stations. This place wasn't cheap either, at around $124 a night. It should be much less for the bad smell, runned down look of the place and the location.

Negative experience: It was a run down mobile home park & motel. Didn’t STAY LONG seen it & left ‼️‼️‼️

Negative experience: I paid 480.00 December 27th for one week on the morning of the 30th the motel had there maintenance guys go in my room and throw all my belongings in the dumpster and told me that I did not pay I have confirmation with my bank that I paid $480 for one week they're telling me that I never paid I'm going to post my bank statement so everyone knows how Bellaire village motel conduct business. I used to have nothing but respect for the motel and the owners until this happened I was there for almost 2 months for them to do this I still do not have most of my belongings like my tools I wish I'm sure the maintenance men have I will be following a lawsuit against the motel so just be aware before you make reservations on how they conduct business.

Positive experience: Best motel in Largo

Fantastic experience: I love that the place has its own kitchenette and heated pool. Right down the street you have a Publix and Save A Lot. Its very quiet and reminds me of when I was young going on my family trips.

Fantastic experience: Stayed there a couple of nights. We would have stayed another night but no vacancy. Rooms are clean and Floridian vintage which is cool. We had some carpet in the room we stayed(not a fan of carpet in hotel room), maybe that will change one day. Has everything you need and No Roaches! Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Fantastic experience: My mom and I stayed there for a few weeks when me moved to Florida. It is an excellent place, rooms are clean and have everything you need: big refrigerator, microwave, appliances, stove. The owner was very helpful with us. I highly recommend this place.

Positive experience: Decently cheap rooms

Fantastic experience: This place is an example of owners and staff that care about their guests. We just spent 2-weeks at the Belleair Village and our room was vintage but spacious, extremely clean and well stocked. The king size bed was very comfortable. The pool is the perfect temperature and the location is close to everything. Within a few minutes, you are walking in the ocean. We had no issues and will stay here again. I haven’t even mentioned how economical this place is. It’s worth the trip.

Positive experience: I have been there a few times they are so reasonable and one room I actually had a kitchen with a regular refrigerator and a small refrigerator two beds a couch for the coffee table a walk-in closet I mean it's not a fancy fancy place but it's very very comfortable walk out the door to the pool go to the corner and there's a restaurant to have breakfast lunch dinner whatever you like it's pretty localized to a lot of things I love it anytime I go up to Largo I go there everybody's friendly the rooms are clean never seen a bedbugs you never seen a roach that's not true and I've been there at least a half a dozen times

Fantastic experience: I am going yo be completely honest with my review. I came a few days ago before paying a weekly rate. I asked the man in the office if I can take a look at the room. He gave me a key without hesitation. After reading some reviews I searched hard for any evidence of roaches, bedbugs or other insects. After looking for 20 minutes I found nothing. The room was very clean. The housekeeping and front office staff are very friendly and accommodating. They clearly work hard to keep thos place in shape. The pool is in perfect shape (a pool company comes twice a week) The only cons: its up the street from a hospital so a lot of ambulance traffic at night. The style of the place looks like it was built in the 70s so it's visually deceiving at first but don't let the first glance put you off. It's close to beautiful beaches, great restaurants and very high end apartments around the area. Overall I would suggest if you are in need of a very reasonably priced weekly rate to contact them directly and see for yourself. I'm very happy with this place.

Negative experience: BED BUGS. My Grandchild that is 8 years old came to spend the night with me. The next day morning time she had bites on both legs from knee’s down. Stripped bed. Mattress had a plastic zip cover but box spring didn’t. Found bed bugs and grabbed one and put in napkin. Left in room with note, and left the room for good. Went back that day for a full refund for the week. Had to fight with the Indian guy for my refund. Meanwhile my grandchildren has bites on both legs and I have to treat all my cloth. Will NEVER return there again. FYI if one room has it then that whole place had it. INFESTATION of BED BUGS

Negative experience: Do NOT stay here !!! We stayed here months ago in a nice suite which was taken this time so they gave us a small suite in the back. It is nasty. Smells, worn out, gross as can be!!!

The management is very accommodating and friendly too. I stayed two weeks so I can tell you from experience it was a very pleasurable experience!

Positive experience: Family owned, very affordable compared to any other hotel around in miles, great location, clean apartment type rooms with dishes and silverware, mini fridge and kitchen. Friendly staff. Building and rooms are in need of an update but as they are is all you need for a nice weekend getaway.

Fantastic experience: Me and my boyfriend enjoyed this super affordable mini-getaway. It has a TV in your room with a mini fridge. The beds were super comfortable. They have a beautiful pool, vending machines, and nearby gas stations for convenience. We had a wonderful one night stay here. $85 dollars for the night.

Negative experience: I would recommend that if you can find ANY place better than this one, go ahead. Broken doors, furniture, moldy rooms... and according to other guests, we had a "nice" room. They advertise WiFi, but if barely works, if at all. Our entire stay we had to use our mobile phones tethered to our computers to even get some reception. They also advertise a pool, which is nice... when it is open. The times listed are most certainly not the times it is open. More like, whenever they felt like locking and unlocking it. The final icing on the cake is that we had rented a room there for 2 weeks, while we were moving. Well, there weeks seem to only consist of 6 days there. We were told we had the room until the 5th. On the 4th... 3 hours after checkout, we were informed that we were supposed to be out, and now we had to pay for an extra day... which was $75 plus tax. Finally, we worked out a deal to pay for half a day, and leave that day. Still, if you check in on a Wednesday, you leave on a Thursday morning. Overall, this place is way overpriced, filled with homeless people and drug addicts, and we will never stay there again. Thankfully my daughter and I made it to our new place. But, in all honesty, I have stayed in better motels that only charge $200 a week.

Positive experience: Decent rooms for very old buildings. No insects or bed bugs noticed anywhere in rooms, nice pool, friendly staff, off season rates could be a bit lower. But overall a comfortable room for the age of the place...

Positive experience: Motel cleaning staff seems friendly. Some of the other guests are just ridiculously nosey. You can't cook outside. One of the burners in the oven didn't/does not work.

Fantastic experience: Our second time here! This is our new home, away from home, when we come to Clearwater! The rates are vacation friendly, the rooms are large, with a full kitchen (including a toaster and coffee maker, MUST HAVES!) The staff are all friendly and take care of our needs (iron), quickly. The pool is amazing and even had an alligator float and pool noodles!

Location is convenient to greater Bay Area, and Largo Medical Center which was my reason for the stay.
