Fantastic experience: I saved over $3O by having my Passport photos taken for my husband and me at the AAA office. There is no fee for Gold members (not sure of other membership levels.) The staff was friendly and efficient. I would recommend without hesitation.

Fantastic experience: I ran out of Diesel Fuel because my gauge malfunctioned. I got in touch with AAA and they sent a tow truck to me within 5 min. He had to tow me to the gas station. He then pumped my fuel for me and helped me get my F250 back up and running. With 25 minutes total I was back on the road. So in my opinion AAA is well worth the money. I am a widow and have no one to help during these situations. So I will always make sure I have AAA.
Negative experience: BEWARE…. I had AAA insurance with the Charlotte, NC office. But my experience with AAA was one of the WORST EXPERIENCES I ever had in my entire life. Let me elaborate, I had been with the AAA of the Carolinas for a year. When it was time for my full coverage renewal with AAA a big problem occurred. Ms. Jefferies a license agent sold me a liability policy instead of a full coverage policy. She deliberately did this and then lied about it stating I was calling to make changes to my liability policy and pay for my renewal. I filed a complaint with the SC Department of Insurance because you can not sell a consumer something they did not ask for without their permission. I will never do business with AAA of the Carolinas or its affiliates. I would not recommend AAA to anyone. I have canceled my coverage with AAA and found a much better insurance company to do business with. Lesson Learned.

Negative experience: Read this if you have AAA or if you are considering it!!!!!!! I have AAA and today Oct 16, 2023 I cut a tire and called them about 12:47 pm the first time and they told me someone would be out by 1:20 then I got an automated call that gave me another time and that went on about 6 more times until they told 3:30pm so I waited till 4 no one showed up or called so I called in and a lady answered and told me two different tow companies refused to come out and then she told me she would escalate it. But she did not have any one to send. So I ask her how long was it suppose to take…..She then got an attitude and told me it Was Luck Of The Draw if someone came or not. I could not believe she said that. I am going to request a copy of that conversation I bet they will not provide it. So if you are thinking of signing up with them make them send you something in writing stating they will assist if with in some kind of time frame because I ask this women that and she said they wound not answer that questions or give you any timeframe. IF it’s a lie she told it and the recording will prove it! She said each call was was Luck Of the Draw if no one was available you would not get any help!

Fantastic experience: Walked in this morning to get an International Driver's Permit..Met by Desiree who was the friendliest and most competent customer service employee I have ever had the pleasure to do business with. In less than 15 min everything completed with accuracy and a friendly can do attitude. More businesses should hire Desirees.

Negative experience: Had a hard time getting our paperwork and our trip in writing. Called for two weeks and my husband went in person. We got our paperwork a few days before our trip after tones of calls. Don't deal with Ms Ray

Positive experience: Very nice travel agency and more. We only used them once as I also sell travel part-time. But that one time was during our honeymoon when we spent three weeks traveling through Europe from Paris down south to Rome. They spent quite a bit of time helping us research the area. My only complaint is they chose extremely expensive hotels for us perhaps because it was our honeymoon and they assumed we were going to spend an insane amount of money. We ended up booking Airbnb's ourselves for our entire trip. They did collect wedding gift donations on our behalf as AAA was the only place we were "registered" for our wedding. I should note this was back in 2009. I'm still a AAA member and continue to use them for their other services.
Negative experience: I was sitting on the side of the road for a while before I got home 4 and a half hours later they called me saying they were 30 minutes out nice people but one driver that was rude I can’t believe the wait but other then that nice investment I got
Fantastic experience: My battery was not holding a charge on 6-24-23 and needed to have AAA come to my home in Conway twice! I appreciated the efficient and friendly service I received, I’m happy to be a AAA premier member! Thank you to the young man from New Jersey who was kind and efficient!

Negative experience: Stay away! Find another roadside assistance provider. After waiting 4 days for someone to show up, AAA towed my motorcycle at the beginning of May to my mechanic (1 mile away from my driveway to the shop). Mechanic worked on it off & on for the entire month and couldn't figure out why my bike won't start. I called AAA a couple of days ago and asked them to tow it to another shop which was 7.8 miles away. They said the 2nd tow isn't covered. I've been a AAA member for 19 years. I added the RV Plus feature for the 100 miles of towing. I bet we only used AAA 7 or 8 times in nearly 20 years. They could've made an exception. I had to pay someone $125 to tow my bike that short distance. I'm not happy right now! I will be cancelling my membership about a week before it's set to renew.

Negative experience: Called on a Friday, held on the line for 5 to 10 minutes, no one would answer. Called back on Monday to try to schedule an appointment to book a cruise, no one would return my call. Sent an email to the other agent on Tuesday, still no response Wanted to pick up some new maps, but they did not have any. Am gonna cancel my membership for lack of service.
Negative experience: I would give them ZERO stars if allowed. I don't know where to begin with this organization! I have been a AAA member since I'm 16; over 40 years! I always loved being a member and they were always extremely helpful. Now that I'm a resident of Little River area, I'm both dismayed and shocked at this once great business! ONE office in all over the Myrtle Beach area, and the next closest is WILMINGTON, NC! They have ONE tow co they contract with for towing. That's for an area that sees over 20 MILLION tourists every year along 50+ miles of area. And they have ONE tow company? Try calling the office like I did. I made over 21 calls in a 3 hour time period, only to get disconnected when no one answers or get voice mails with excuses. The only way I got through to them was on a line for BUYING something. Of COURSE they answered that phone line!!!! Then I got more excuses and absolutely zero customer service. How can a company this big ignore such a gigantic market? After 40 years of being a dedicated member I'll be terminating my useless membership!! Do your own investigating and you'll see 100's of complaints where motorists sat for up to three hrs waiting for a tow or assist. This is the worst location for services by AAA by a long shot!

Negative experience: Booked a trip to Europe before Covid including insurance. Trip was canceled due to Germany travel ban. AAA refused to refund our fee. Insurance said covid wasn't covered. We tried numerous times to get resolved. They dodge our calls and do not respond to messages. Really poor business model and customer service. Never again.

Negative experience: WARNING! 10/22 USEAT AT YOUR OWN RISK I have had the most disappointing experience planning my trip with Karen. She has made my trip planning a total nightmare. She is totally incompetent. Today is Wed.(10/19/22), we are suppose to leave Fri (10/21) for our trip. Today, I discovered that my husband’s name is totally wrong and she blamed the cruise line. This is something she charged us $200 for to get corrected two weeks ago, and here we are at the same juncture two days before our trip. She says she is going to do something and then nothing gets done. She has been working on my reservation since August. Save yourself the headaches, aggravation and disappointments by staying away from AAA for your air travel/cruise plans. It is bad!

Fantastic experience: Went there because I needed an International Driver's License. This was the only place in the Myrtle Beach area that I could procure one. Although most of their customers are AAA road service members, I believe their primary business is travel agency. The place was a beehive of activity the afternoon I went. I think there were five employees there at the time all of whom were busy. However, I was in and out of there in about 15 or 20 minutes with my license in hand. Very pleased with the service.

Negative experience: Dealt with Karen for almost 6 months to plan a trip to Italy. She never did what she said she would, never got back to me as she said she would. Went in to see her 4 times said she’d work on the agenda I provided with all our details and still nothing. Could’ve said us some money on tickets to places still nothing. I have worked with Nancy for domestic travel, she is great!

Negative experience: Spoke with a Karen over there a few days ago she tells me that she was sending over a flight itinerary for a trip I'm taking with my mother, never got the itinerary and couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. They kept me on hold for about 30 mins then just hung up the line. If you're looking for airline tickets stick to sites like Priceline, CheapOair and kayak. I will not be wasting my time with this company for flight assistance again! Very poor service

Positive experience: I needed to renew my membership, so I called and waited, and waited, etc.!!! I had a planned trip to CVS drug store on 38th Avenue North, so, I drove to the AAA travel agency, because it is very close to my drug store. One of the employees asked me if she could help me and I told her about trying the "phone service" to renew my membership" is NOT helpfull!!! I was in & out of the AAA store with my service of renewal in a very short time. Mission Compleated!!! Thank you to all who work in that store. Your customer service = 5 Stars!

Even called an employee who had the day off the endure we had the correct product. Other staff stopped what they were doing g to help. Place was cleam, watm and friendly. Fantastic experience: My husband and I went in this weekend to book a trip to Universal Orlando. We were helped by Joy, who was so great to work with. She made sure that everything we wanted and needed was taken care of. She even went so far as to call Universal to make sure all our questions were answered and find us the best deals. We will definitely go back to book our future trips!

Negative experience: This had nothin to do with the truck driver. He was nice, respectful and understanding. However, dispatch needs to be worked on. They almost left us stranded because they didn’t believe us last night. We were accidentally locked both sets of keys in one of our cars we were picking up. And they kept refusing us service because they didn’t believe us. Over the phone. It was HORRIBLE. luckily we FINALLY got them to believe us and come unlock the door. Just took awhile
Negative experience: I had locked my keys in my car and normally I have great customer service but the woman I 1st spoke with accused me of trying to steal my own car and stated that they could not help me open my car door. She was very accusatory and unhelpful...until finally reluctantly sending a tow guy she stated to be there by 1130pm he promptly arrived at 9pm was great and very helpful...I give the tow guy 5 stars.
