Negative experience: Never could get a tow truck driver to our location. Waited over 90 minutes. The customer service reps were ridiculous and couldn’t get their crap together. Not sure why I even both paying for this crappy service. Shame on you AAA.

Negative experience: never using this service again. Paid them for 10+ years and never used them. One day my truck broke down “in town” and it took them 3 days to get there- they told me to call once per hour, i had to convince the managers of the store not to tow it because i had my service i PAID for and could not afford to take it from being impounded. your better off and its cheaper to just call a tow place if you need it on the spot.

Negative experience: Just realized how useless this membership is. I paid for a full year, last year when I ran out gas. They never showed up. Fast forward 11 months later. On the side of the road with an infant needing gas. They tell me to call highway patrol or wait an hour or more. Guess what? You can get an uber out there in a fraction of the time to take you to a gas station. Dear AAA, stop sending me letters to renew my membership when I wasted all that money on you for nothing.

Negative experience: Two different occasions they were called. First time no show second time no one answered phone. Husband cancelled account. 3 months left on account. Member for many years. They refuse to return unused portion of the money. So if yo don’t cancel within 6 months, you don’t get your money back. Ripping off the customers. No longer a customer. I will try Good Sam.

Negative experience: Traveling from Oregon we found ourselves in need of a tow. Despite the fact we also have RV coverage and we told them we had a small trailer they sent 2 tow trucks that were not able to get us to a shop. I talked to 2 supervisors the first one put me on hold for 28 minutes and never came back on th line. The second told me that they wouldn't tow the trailer as it wasn't disabled. When I peotested she also put me on hold I disconnected after 18 minutes. Keep in mind I am in Florida in July all of us pushing 70 and was also told they would only transport 1 passenger the others would have to make other arrangements. Fortunately my daughter lives around 70 miles away and she and her boyfriend were able to pick up my wife and sister. My initial call to Triple AAA was 1:40pm I was finally picked up at 5:40pm long after the shop I had made arrangements with to repair my vehicle had gone home for the day. Thinking about Triple AAA I would reconsider. If we had the ability to rate in negative numbers I would have. Will Williams

Fantastic experience: Yesterday I received the shocking news that my current insurance was dropped through no fault of my own, the company no longer wants to handle auto insurance in Florida. I was in quite a panic and had to do immediate research to find another auto insurance carrier. I first picked a local insurance company from the phonebook/online that was a broker. After speaking with them, they offered me their lowest option at 4X the rate I had been paying. So I went into the AAA office in Daytona Beach and was met by Heidi Hales – Walker. Thank goodness, she was very patient, kind and helped me sort through my mini crisis. Having said that, what I didn't like was the extreme difficulty that I experienced trying to make an appointment to meet with a travel agent. No one would answer the phone. I left numerous messages before somebody finally called me back, and then I was told that I had to make an appointment for travel assistance thru the travel agent department. I said that nobody answered the phone in that department. I was told that was the process. I ended up driving to the office and sitting there until I could speak with a travel agent. Fantastic experience: Easy peasy.... I needed to sign paperwork so to make life easier, I stopped into the office. Without an appointment, I found that my agent was out to lunch... but another Chad stepped up to the plate and hit a home run with getting my papers in order. I was in and out within maybe 10 minutes. Signing up for car insurance in the state of Florida was a sticker shock... yes, from the regulate state of MA, my cost was almost triple for the same coverage. However, Jenifer Canada was so helpful in getting everything done and organized that it was a no worries process on who to choose. I had done my research calling no less than 10 companies to get quotes, and yes, AAA was the best. I'm still getting over the shock of the cost...but hey there's sunshine here in Florida.

Negative experience: Had a flat tire, called AAA and they transferred me to roadside assistance . They lady said I would get a call shortly with. ETA. Waited over a hour and never received a call so I called back. I have not received a call back regarding the claim. My car is damaged through no fault of my own. I’ve called AAA and I’m automatically routed to a voicemail. I have no claim manager or anyone to discuss repair with. I’ve been given multiple different numbers to call and I always get transferred until I can do nothing but leave a message on a voicemail. The last customer service agent I spoke with said it’s because of all the hurricane claims, but this is an auto claim. I assumed that would be two different departments. Negative experience: I needed a tow my car 5 miles (yes only 5 miles, and spoilers they never did..) it broke down all of a sudden in the middle of me driving. After I called AAA they told me they they couldnt get anybody out to come help me but would call me back within 3-4 hours later to tell me if they could get anybody out then.. Fast forward 9 almost 10 hours later at around 2-3 in the morning I get their call only to have them say they will not be coming and their is nothing they can do for me. Telling me I'll have to try tomorrow at 7 in the morning.... The next day I try again and actually get a response saying someone should be on the way. However NOBODY came and after 12 hours I get a call from them telling me that again I'd have to try calling them for help tomorrow.. I ended up calling another company who came to my location and towed it away within 30 minutes of my call.. Do not waste your time with this horrible, God awful, dishonest, company. What they did is completely unacceptable. ESPECIALLY given I had a premium membership with them and was promised service and assistance within 30 minutes to an hour at MAX when signing up.

Apparently they use a “supplier” called Railbookers. Never again. You think matching an itinerary done by another office would be easy. Go to a local travel agent. My first clue was things didn’t line up a few days before my departure. While in Italy, multi city problems continued. My train ticket was refunded & cancelled & I had to pay onboard with €50 penalty. Ground transport was separate from my sister so one 7 passenger van took them and another took me times five trips! In which I was given an ETA of 179 minute/3:41am. I knew that was such a ridiculous amount of time. I really should have canceled the call but I didn't. Because I wanted to see was someone going to come in a timely manner. So my 179 minute/3:41am ETA turned into an 8:24am call just being dispatched. In which I canceled. Negative experience: I waited 4 hours(4-8pm) on the side on the highway and then it got dark. Single white female on the side of the road. I called them 4 times because the map I was told to keep track of the driver with never changed. I then find out he met his 12 hours of work for the day and dropped my request. No one called to notify me. I walked again and was then told to leave my keys somewhere and that they would do a unassisted pickup. Negative experience: AAA really dropped the ball on this one.Members pay too much money not to receive the stellar service AAA has been known to give in the past. I requested tow service around 1pm. After waiting over 4 hrs I called only to be told that Butler towing was scheduled to come. Since it was over the time the 1st rep advised that she would escalate the request because the car was obstructing the road and sidewalk. We waited some more hours only to be told by another rep that he was doing an escalation that was higher than the first. I should have known that he was just attempting to pacify me at this point. I advised that the police was threatening to tow due to the obstruction and he said that based on "his escalation" we would receive a more rapid response. Fast forward, we received no calls, no follow up from any AAA rep and no service call until 3:22am asking to now fulfill the tow. Are you kidding me??? From 1pm to 322am. By then I had already paid another company who came in 45 min. I was able to accomplish on my own what I PAY AAA to do.

After an hour waiting (thankfully I was waiting in a parking lot and not on the side of 95), I called AAA for an update. They said I would be receiving a call telling me when they would be coming. Fantastic experience: We needed roadside assistance while on vacation and called AAA Daytona. The person who took the call was professional, courteous and efficient. I received automated text updates about the pending road service which was helpful to get confirmation that a response was in progress. The service provider called to advise that they were on their way and verify the location of the vehicle. They arrived at the time they estimated. The situation was keys locked in the car and the service technician was able to get the vehicle unlocked very quickly and with no damage to the vehicle. The tech was very professional, dressed professionally and very pleasant. All-in-all a great experience solving a challenge. Thank you!

Negative experience: Terrible .. my husband is a truck drive in other states. They wouldnt ket me use the card i have for years had yiur gold services i will be canceling it

Negative experience: Called at 12am. Was given a 1:40am arrival time. Which is crazy anyways. But I called back at 1:50am and was told the company they contacted denied the service call. No one called or texted me until I got transferred to "the wrong department" and plead my case. 20 minutes later I was contacted by another tow company saying it would be another 45 minutes. Needless to say I will be seeking a refund tomorrow and never using AAA again because it's a useless scam. Save your money and pay for a tow when you need it.

Negative experience: Although it’s been quite some time since I’ve used AAA for travel, I made travel reservations at the Daytona Beach location for Friday, August 16, 2021 traveling to Fayetteville, Georgia. I asked for a TripTix and there was absolutely nothing helpful about the TripTix. In the past, it would indicate rest areas, road construction, etc. This Tix did not do this at all! Finally I used my mobile phone to navigate. I’ve been a AAA member for 46 years, but in the future I will make my own reservations and use my cell phone for directions.
