Negative experience: TOUR WAS AWFUL WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND. Our tour guide was very dull and did not follow the plans that were scheduled. Did not let us get off of at Cafe du Monde because she felt it was too crowded, even thought we were suppose to have 30 minutes in city park to do as we please. Never let us a walk in city and park and took us to some random beignet place on the side of road. My family and got off the bus and left the tour early as we were disappointed in first hour a half. We went back to the Cafe du monde and the line took less than 10 minutes and the beignets wet great! The whole park was beautiful and it was an absolute rip off the lady did not let us enjoy the original tour schedule.

Fantastic experience: Howie was the highlight of the tour. With his insightful history of the areas we toured, alongside his sense of humor, he made the entire trip worthy of far more than 5 stars. The tour bus offered great views and ample space to take in the sights and sounds, while not being crammed in. The stops we took were just right to accommodate our needs. Thank you so much for the great tour, and especially for our drives / tour guide Howie.

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible customer service. Spoke to Val on Thursday morning. Was told that there were 4 spots available for a tour for Friday at 2 pm. Perfect. Was told to call back with Groupon code. Called back approximately 5 min later. No answer. Called back again, left a message with all the information, including my phone number. Drove from Biloxi on Saturday morning, When we tried to check in, we were told by a gentleman that there was no reservation and gave another ladies name and said I prob talked to her. Then Val walks over and said she was the one that spoke to me but I never called back. I told her I left a message and then was told that I needed to speak directly to someone and that the voicemail does not work. The gentlemen chirped in that he’s never retrieved a message from the phone. I was visibly disappointed as they said they were now sold out and I could come back “tomorrow”. I explained we’d only be in town that day. I asked why the voicemail says to leave a message if it doesn’t work/they don’t retrieve messages. Val absolutely lost her mind. Screaming that she “only works here”. When I told her she didn’t need to be so rude. It set her off even more. I couldn’t believe how I was being yelled at and the faces of the other customers in the place showed that they felt the same way. I turned away and walked out I’m sorry your employees hate their jobs. However, they are in customer service and probably shouldn’t be. Maybe she was angry that she couldn’t finish her cigarette when we pulled up. I don’t know but I will def never, ever go through this company and wouldn’t recommend it!

Positive experience: We took the 10 am bus tour on Saturday, July 13, and would definitely book it again. Our guide and driver John was very knowledgeable and entertaining! The tour lasted longer than expected - about 2.5 hours - but we saw much of the city from the comfort of an air-conditioned shuttle bus. It's true that guided walking tours will give you much more detailed information about a certain neighborhood or district, but this bus tour does provide a nice overview of the city.

Fantastic experience: Had a GREAT time with Howie, our city tour driver and guide. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of the area and gave us a first hand account of the destruction and aftermath from Hurricane Katrina. He is a funny character but gets very serious about Katrina. You definitely want to ask for Howie for your tour.

Fantastic experience: This tour was one if not the best tours I've had so far. our tour guide, Howie, was amazing! He told just the right amount of jokes to make this tour funny, and not overwhelming or boring. He also had a lot of knowledge about New Orleans and told us a lot! The places we went to were also pretty cool too. I really wish the tour was longer. The only complaint I have was that the bus was kind of crowded and small, as it was fully booked, with no more seats after all of the people boarded. but that still doesn't weigh down the fact that tour was amazing!

Fantastic experience: We went on the City bus tour with Howie. He was very humorous, informative and gave us a unique perspective as a local. This tour is a great way to start your vacation in New Orleans to get the lay of the the land and Howie made it a 10/10 experience.

Negative experience: We took the Adventure in New Orleans bus tour. It was nice to see the city, but if you’re looking for real information about the city from your driver, this was not it.

Negative experience: Do not buy a Groupon for this company. They have groupons available for purchase, no where does it say you have to have a reservation to use prior to purchasing. After you purchase and try to redeem they tell you that they have no availability for groupon customers. Be aware!!! However they have reservations on their website if you were to buy at full price. Misleading and very disappointing!

Negative experience: Booked a city tour after Mike described it and it sounded amazing!!! Cemetery, city park and hurricane affected areas. Got on the bus, spent 6 minutes in the cemetery number 3, 10 minutes at city park as a coffee stop where the coffee is pre-made and come out of an urn and the rest of the time we were taken through the streets of New Orleans on a Katrina tour. Very disappointed, Mike needed to tell us it was a Katrina tour, he showed us pics of beautiful sites of the city park and the cemetery, we were so excited to see them but didn't see anything. Though, Tony the driver was entertaining.

Negative experience: This tour needs a better host. She talks in circles and I at times she was just pulling stories out the clouds that weren’t at all accurate. She also needs to learn to pronounce her own city and streets. We heard more about the celebrities homes, than facts about one of the most interesting historical city’s in the country.

Fantastic experience: What an awesome experience to learn about New Orleans. The driver we had was fantastic and even dropped us off where we wanted. We were able to see everything in about 3 hours. We got to drive through various parts of New Orleans and the commentary was fun. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: I went on a city tour and Our tour guide, Howie was a smarta*s! He doesn’t know how to treat the customers. Right before he checked in, he specifically made it a point to say to everyone is not in an assigned seat. That being said after I checked in and climbed back in the bus, I noticed a lady where I was sitting and I didn’t mind but I wanted a window seat so I sat somewhere else and Howie looked at me and said I can’t sit there, that a group of 4 is coming back. I’m very unhappy with how he treated me and how he talked to us, every time any of us had a question he always a quick smarta*s answer. He was very unprofessional and I highly DONT recommend!!! Which really sucks because Sean C. Was incredible!! He was the one that took the time to make sure we got the tour that works best for us. Sean deserves a raise!!

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend the bus tour through New Orleans City Tours & Adventures! Howie was an awesome guide who was very knowledgeable about New Orleans and its history. His life experiences added to his teaching and brought forth true emotions especially as he spoke about being a first responder during Hurricane Katrina. Howie was also very funny and he kept the tour exciting. Please go on this tour if you're in New Orleans. You won't regret it!!

Fantastic experience: Sean was AWESOME! 414 Canal Street at the tourist shop. I walked in and wanted a tour and he helped me asap to get what I needed. He also gave me directions to different places and things to do. Go see him! Thank you again for making my day and guiding me to where I need to go!

Fantastic experience: Information & humor-packed overview tour courtesy of Howie, our guide. He is knowledgeable & entertaining & I learned so much in a short time! He was a 1st responder post-Katrina & really conveyed the enormous sense of loss & overwhelming task of cleanup/rebuilding. Highly recommend him!

We admittedly feel like jerks because we got off the bus and both realized neither of us gave him a tip before it was too late. Fantastic experience: Took the New Orleans city bus tour. Had an awesome guide who talked about the best food and music places. I can't remember his name, but I remember one line he said about a restaurant: "it's a 5 out of ten, except the oysters, but oysters are great anywhere." I've done a few city bus tours and this was the hands-down best!!

Fantastic experience: Great tour of the whole city. Howie was very knowledgeable. Went through St Louis cemetery 3 and city park where we got to get off the bus for a while. Drove down st charles ave and through the french quarter. Great place to get a quick tour of the city. Just wish we could have spent more time at city park since it is huge. Only spent about 10 min before you had to get back on the bus.

Fantastic experience: 3/5/2023 We ended up here on the Adventures in New Orleans bus tour and found out some more very interesting information about how the deceased is treated in New Orleans and why they are buried above ground and the practices that come behind it. Chris was a great tour ground that knows a massive amount of knowledge about New Orleans

Fantastic experience: Our tours of the Laura & Oak Alley Plantations was outstanding. Our guide and driver was Miss Dywanna. Not only was she personable, friendly and welcoming, her knowledge of New Orleans and the surrounding areas made our drive much more enjoyable. Additionally, I’d like to commend Valerie (414 Canel), for her assistance in booking our tours. I’d ask they be recognized in some fashion for their work. I would definitely recommend you booked any tours with them. You will not be disappointed.

Positive experience: Overall, it was an enjoyable and educational ride on the bus. The man giving us the tour was very knowledgeable and very polite and very funny. I was slightly disappointed that we only got to spend about 10 minutes in Cemetery number two when I thought it would be at least a half an hour or so. Otherwise enjoyable ride in a bus with AC riding around New Orleans getting to take in the sights and sounds.

Fantastic experience: Best city tour we have ever been on. Howie, our tour guide was amazing! The history in New Orleans is so rich and beautiful. Also a great way to see the whole City and determine where you want to spend your time.

Fantastic experience: We did the city tour and had a great time. Our guide was ver knowledgeable about the history of New Orleans. He pointed out some restaurants, two of which we’ve tried. Both had delicious food. Also, you your sights outside of the French quarter which made us quickly realize there was so much more to New Orleans.

Negative experience: If I could have given a negative 5 stars I would. We went to the office Mike gave my mother in-law a brochure and told us to book online. We did and waited outside our hotel for an hour and they didn’t show up. We walked to the office and the lady told us that the tour had left but we needed an additional reservation to what we booked online. There was absolutely no instructions, email, or communication. We paid over $300 and they refuse to refund the money. She told us we could book another tour for the afternoon but would have to pay an additional $300. They are a complete scam and ripped us off. Do not give this company your credit card information!

Positive experience: Very nice and knowledgeable of opportunities to see the city.

Negative experience: Purchased tickets on Groupon but they would not give us seats during our vacation time since we purchased on Groupon. They advised they only reserved limited seats for Groupon even when I explained we were only in town for 4 days. So we lost our $100. Very disappointing. The manager was very unsympathetic.

Positive experience: Tour and guide was great! The guide was knowledgable and engaging. As we were going along, he would tell us that during Katrina how high the water had gotten in a specific area. He added his own personal touches and knowledge that you only get from a local. However, the A/C on the bus was not working and it was the afternoon tour. My husband and I were sweating and miserable the whole tour which had nothing to do with the driver and how knowledgable he was-thankfully we started early and didn’t hit any traffic or it would have been even more brutally hot inside the bus!

Fantastic experience: My wife and I took a bus tour as part of a Go City pass. The tour was great. We learned a lot and got to really see New Orleans. The tour covered a lot of ground. The bus was comfortable and well climate controlled. If trying to decide which tour of New Orleans to go on choose this one!

Fantastic experience: This was an amazing tour. The tour guide was knowledgeable and very pleasant. The bus driver, Keisha, greeted us as soon as we arrived and told us the best place to sit on the bus to get a great view. You’ll learn the history, but also get great customer service.

Fantastic experience: Really enjoyed doing this first because then we could decide what other things we wanted to do or visit based off of the tour. Herman was very knowledgeable and did a great job! Be sure and use a Groupon and don't drive there as parking is expensive. Their check in spot is a very small kiosk building, so don't miss it.

Fantastic experience: I took a fantastic tour of New Orleans yesterday & it was great Tour driver was super nice, knowledgeable and seemed to love his job and his city. I think his name was Warren, excellent history of the city I especially enjoyed his cemetery tour It was full of fun facts, esp how much the black culture was affected by history & Katrina I would give him 10 stars if I could Also, Mike Spinato took good care of setting it all up for me One little note: please remind people that they have high prices to pay for parking to get to the tours But all in all, I had a great time & fell in love with New Orleans, maybe to LIVE, NOT DIE THERE LOL

Negative experience: The tour itself was interesting and I learned a lot as well as gained a cultural perspective of the city which I think was great. The tour guide Howie however was completely rude. If anyone spoke he was quick to reprimand them in ways that included making faces at an older gentleman through the mirror infront of everyone and snapping at him as of the man had been talking the entire 2 hours, which he hadn't. Honestly we paid a lot of money to have to sit in our seats and snapped at by a rude driver. He even went as far as to make a comment to the entire bus about part of our group stiffing him on a tip when one of our members at the front tipped him (hard not to recognize we were all together as we have matching shirts). Thus comment may have been made to a couple behind us but was still extremely unprofessional, rude, and uncalled for!

Fantastic experience: I just flew to New Orleans last night and took the CityTour with this company today. It actually went beyond my expectations and the tour guide was absolutely amazing. He was informative, professional, fun to listen to, and just made it in all around great experience! I booked this tour through my hotel and even though it wasn't a hop on and hop off experience, just all of the information that was given so far surpassed the other tours I've ever taken! It was a blast! He did stop at one of the cemeteries and gave very knowledgeable history of the cemetery and we were allowed to take pictures and videos for about 10 minutes before getting back on the bus. We also went to city Park and got off there for about half an hour to stroll around or grab a yummy delicious Beignet at Café Du monde! All around, an excellent experience! I highly recommend !! The whole tour took a couple hours and we went all over New Orleans! So much fun!

Fantastic experience: I wish the tour could have lasted all day. Our guide, Howie, was lively and knowledgeable. He presented with just enough comedy and charm to keep us smiling while perfectly mixing in fun facts and history. Afterwards, I wanted to revisit each spot and learn more. Fantastic experience: Our actual Tour guide Howie was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour - in that sense we would highly recommend (6 stars). I would give 4.5 stars for the fact that on the website it promotes hotel pickup but if you purchase through Groupon you don’t get that (and are told quite frankly by booking that this is the case) I also emailed to ask for a confirm on the booking and the address to go to and never got a reply. But in terms of the bus and the content and quality of the tour, this made up for my initial reservations. If you get the tour we got, you’ll be glad you did it.

Fantastic experience: I surprised my husband with a trip to New Orleans for his 40th birthday. We spent the afternoon with Howie on the bus tour and we had a blast! Howie was super knowledgeable and hilarious. We loved seeing so much of the city and learning about history, fun “only in New Orleans...” facts, visiting landmarks, and soaking in the stories of Katrina. It was a great way to spend a birthday! Fantastic experience: We did the tour with the city pass it was a wonderful tour Chris was our driver he was funny and helpful. He shared great stories and had such a great knowledge of history as well as current information. The stop at the park was unexpected yet a great surprise. We got see so much of the city in a short period of time. Chris also gave us a gift at the end that was apart of the history. I highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic experience: We bought tickets for a bus tour of New Orleans and we were delighted with the price and the tour itself. The driver was very friendly and informative and we stopped off at an old cemetery to walk around. We learned about the levees and river and the old landmarks and also drove by some celebrities houses. We really enjoyed the tour and I recommend it.

Fantastic experience: Howie our driver, was wonderful. A good way to spend my morning and my money.

Negative experience: The lady told me she couldn't do the voucher without a printed copy. Advised me to walk across the street to have it printed, although i offered to pay her. The next day when I went for the scheduled tour, she overextended for another guest who had not printed it. This wasn't a good feeling at all. Part of me wanted to take it there because there's only so much reasons she would have treated us differently but I just didn't care enough to bother. The pass is a good deal money wise, but in my future travel - I will be more selective with whom I support when I travel.

Positive experience: I bought the New Orleans pass online. I liked that I could activate it at anytime then the consecutive days count day began. It took me forever to find the location to actually activate the pass since I was not familiar with the area..all around great savings. I'd definitely say spend a day or two going over what you wanna do, so you really get to enjoy the boat tours which happen earlier in the day.

Negative experience: Whomever answered the phone when I called to ask questions about the tour and booking was just flat out rude and not helpful at all. They even switched lines to talk to someone else . I read the reviews after I called and spoke with this man and I'm so glad i didnt give these people my money . This company should be avoided at all costs .

Negative experience: The tour was sooo disappointing. Our guide was in her own world rambling on while half of our bus was either asleep or annoyed. Monotonous and repetitive. She kept talking about the levees and pointing out shotgun houses. She would talk about a building before we would reach it and move on to another subject...then we would pass the building and we would miss it. The "bus" is a shuttle and it is very difficult to see out of. I definitely would never pay to do this. It was included in our NOLA pass. Sad we spent 2.5 hours on this.

Negative experience: Had to pick up the city pass from this location after buying it from groupon. This place is so disorganized and messy. The most annoying part is having to bring in a paper copy of your voucher. Most places actually prefer using the voucher on the app but these guys actually wanted a printed copy. They made me go to a hotel and print it out when they had a perfect printer there to use. I even offered to pay for it but they wanted you to go out to get it. Makes no sense. Wish we could pick up the passes from another location. The pass itself is amazing and well worth it.

Negative experience: This company over booked the tour and refused to refund or help us. The owner spoke to us and told us he was unwilling to refund even though he admitted the tour was over booked. Do not do business with these people. You'll have a better time doing something different anyway.
