Fantastic experience: Went to AAA Newport Beach location to do a transfer of ownership for an out of state car, and registration. Everyone at this location very courteous and knowledgeable. Got car smogged. Employee helped us complete forms, had title signed over and smog certificate. Inspected car there. Took about an hour to complete everything! Walked out with registration and CA plates. Thank you AAA!

Fantastic experience: Shula Montes is amazing! I’ve been a client of AAA for five years, and over the past few months, I’ve been looking to modify my policy. I’ve made multiple calls to AAA during this time, and Shula has been the only representative who took the time to thoroughly explain which coverage options would be most beneficial for me. Not only are her customer service skills impeccable, but her knowledge of insurance policies and the services AAA offers is exceptional. I was considering cancelling my policy, but after further discussion with Shula, I have decided to remain a client. I truly appreciate Shula’s assistance and professionalism!

I had to switch two commercial truck titles to my name, and with the lady's help, it was done in less than 10 minutes. This agency is particularly great because it's easy to park, and there is usually only a very short waiting time. AAA #1 !!!!

Negative experience: We try to do a transfer vehicle today and the person that was helping us was a Indian lady how I know that because she actually have the audacity to ask the ethnicity to the guy that was transferring a car to us and she didn't even acknowledge us we are Hispanic , everything that we say was wrong on her point of view telling the guy that don't trust us SHE WAS saying that infront of us I have never felt so annoying and the racism from anyone more that her , you should train them more on racism and ethic so unprofessional. It was all her , her problem with her with us , not even the guy the actually owner of the vehicle had problems with us. She made the whole uncomfortable

Negative experience: Terrible customer service. Angel and Jared are quick to hang up on someone when they don’t know an answer or transfer you to a line that leads nowhere. I’ve asked to speak with their manager multiple times and instead get transferred back to the main line. I love AAA insurance but this office is unfortunately incompetent.

Negative experience: Bought an new Tacoma and called AAA to simply add my Tacoma and remove my Ford. It took them over a year to remove the Ford and place my Tacoma on my policy. We also have a Honda Accord on the policy! After supplying them with a Bill of Sale for the Ford July 2021 The back dated my policy leaving us with a one car policy and absorbing the entire year of $750 I paid for the Ford and then charged us an additional $500. Because it was now a one car policy!! Still never adding the Tacoma! Now they want to add the Tacoma and bavk date it like it was insured the entire time to avoid the additional $500. Charge but still abdorbing the $750 for a vehicld that was never insured! Spoke to Nick Torress the manager over at the Newport Office who never returned one phone call!! He cant help me do amything and offers me an biz card with an 800 number. Spoke to Yvonne Green who told me I would receive a refund then she drops the ball and does not reply to my emails. I have been a customer of AAA for over 40 years and this is how that treat me. I will continue to fight for whats right but they are not very helpful and none of their computers seem to record the same info. Im not even allowed to see a copy of my accounts. Wonder why!! Beware of AAA they are not what they use to be. Not to mention I had to wait 3 hrs for a tow in the pouring rain, stuck in the middle of an intersection!

Negative experience: Don’t let the starts fool you. It is understaffed and they are not helpful at all and rarely are. Pick another location or just go to DMV it’s not much worse.

Fantastic experience: Thank god AAA has a DMV department so I don't have to deal with the headache of the DMV. I bought a new car and traded in my old car, but I wanted to keep my personalized license plates on my old car and put it on my new car. Just in case you're not in the know, the dealership will take your personalized plates off your old car for you so you can hold on to them. They'll put the temporary paper plates on your new car. You'll have to wait 3 or 4 weeks for the new metal plates to come in the mail. Once you get them, you take both sets of plates to AAA. They'll keep your new plates and give you a new registration card with your personalized plates info on it. There's a $43 fee for that. The Newport Beach office even had a screwdriver, so I could put my plates on right there in their parking lot. Lol. A pleasant experience. Thanks AAA!

Negative experience: I walked-in to this location to get their road assistance membership, Mathew helped me and convinced me to get insurance with them as well claiming he would get me an even better rate than the one I am currently paying. He also mentioned about free membership for a year with 100mi towing benefit and I could also add my kids and fiance at no additional cost. It sounded too good to be true. A few days later he sent me an estimate through text message, I was not happy with his quote so I called to have me explain the insurance coverage and why the cost exceeded my current insurance. He failed to give me all the details and rudly cut me off saying that if I was not gonna get their insurance then he was wasting his time, left me speechles I did not know what had just happened, before I knew it he hang up the phone on me. I did speak to his manager days later and apparently I was given false information by his employee Mathew, they don't even have the 100mi towing assistance when you first signed up , you would have to wait 3 months until you can upgrade from 7mi to 100mi and on top it, it cost more money if you want to add any close relatives to your policy, $30 per person to be exact. I am only giving 2 stars and that is because Luan (manager) took his time and explained everything step by step after Mathew had given me false information and that's maybe because he wanted to get his commission at any cost.

Fantastic experience: They have been so very helpful for me, especially Linda in their DMV department. I've been trying to receive the title to my car from Kia finance for over 4 years, ever since paying off the balance of the three year lease, two weeks prior to end of my lease. Since moving back to Orange County and working with Linda here, she has been extremely patient with this circumstance and helping with certified letters to the Kia finance and( as of today's date Kia has yet to comply) Linda has been assisting me with tag extensions for my car. They're all very friendly and courteously helpful when ever visiting or calling on the phone with this AAA office on Birch Street in Newport Beach

Negative experience: Worst travel planning experience with this office, I booked hotel rooms for a trip across the country, moving out of state and the agents at this office were to lazy to look up my scheduled reservations and just picked random hotels for my triptik!!! I arrived at 4am to the wrong hotel with no reservation after being up for 21 hours!!! Lazy unprofessional travel agents!!! My final destination was my new home but again they just picked a random hotel in the city ... don’t even get me started on how difficult it was fir me to get the triptik in the first place !! Took 3 days and numerous phone calls and they still could not do their job.

This is a one-stop-shop they make your life as easy as possible these people know their business they know the laws they can help you get your registration renewed they can help you with so many things and I love the fact that they are knowledgeable they calm they can really make you feel so much better about a situation that you're confused about and they're just great problem solvers with a smile on their face! Negative experience: horrible expereince and customer service. They booked hotel rooms for me on a road trip to Idaho that were supposed to be dog friendly - and weren't. Had to book my own hotels on the fly and then couldn't get refunds for the one's AAA booked. Turns out they didn't book them they used a company called Travel Partners in NY and that co was uncooperative in refunding $$. AAA rep did little to get my refund edither. Word of caution- book your own travel!

Negative experience: This is the worst branch, I advise anyone to avoid AAA and specially this branch, all the employees there don’t have any experience and don’t understand the customer needs like Colin and Jessy they are super rude, they gave me a wrong estimate and after I signed it They sent me the police includes double of what I signed before and when I asked them about what happened they tried to not answering me ! AAA is the worst insurance company, they never work professionally Try to avoid it.
