Negative experience: Waited over 8 hours and with car sitting there since 5am right on a main road quickly accessible to the gaineville office; called us multiple times just to say “we’re experiencing busier calls than usual” and about two hours later a women FINALLY calls and says she’s on her way to “change our tire” which we asked for a tow & signed up for, she pretended to act like she already knew and responded to my “oh no, we had signed for a tow we desperately need to avoid getting impounded” and said after checking her “notes” that “oh yeah that looks right according to my notes; my mistake”and followed it by saying she was on her way now and would call again when close. Fast forward another 3 hours of trying to contact them so we could get a ride up there just for her to eventually reach an ACTUAL PERSON all to hear “oh we’re busier than usual, so I’m not sure that person can make it, but then asked if we wanted to wait around for anyone, which of course we said yes as we told her we couldn’t afford to get it impounded; or just send another person the next day. So she told us she was on her way, found out she had to do more than change a tire, so decided to just lie to us & make us sit around for nothing with the ride arranged back to the car waiting & waiting. Worst part is, this isn’t not the first time they’ve done the EXACT same thing. 70 dollars for a 10 minute tow to policy holders house” but couldn’t even do that. This company had the worst customer service and response I’ve ever seen. Ruined the entire night of a single autistic mother of three all because the women working didn’t want to do any towing because they were doing a “sale” and taking in so much money by choosing to ONLY CHANGE TIRES. Didn’t want to be bothered to give any toes because god it’s easier to fix a flat tire than to tow a women in need who hydroplaned trying to help me during a freak off and on storm.
Negative experience: I've been a member since 2004, requiring very few services, so AAA has made a lot of money from my membership which costs $110.per year. I sold my car months ago and have access to other services without AAA. I called different numbers today trying to speak to a live person - that isn't possible even locally. I want to cancel membership and receive a refund for remaining half of the year. Apparently that can't happen even though in print they advertise a special number to call to request refund.

Fantastic experience: Brian S. at the Gainesville, FL office, is the finest insurance agent I've ever worked with in my life. He is extremely knowledgeable and accurate, he really cares about his clients, and he is so easy to work with. He gets my highest recommendation for customer service. Brian is the best!

Negative experience: Second time in a year that someone in my family was left stranded by AAA…. And we’ve only attempted to used them twice. They have basically become a discount program for theme park tickets. If you looking for that, you’re in luck. If you’re looking for road side assistance, look elsewhere!

Positive experience: Went recently to pay our membership dues and to inquire about planning a trip to upstate NY. Our information was taken, and they said they would get back to us. Called on Monday this week, and they said they would send us the info via email no later than Wednesday of this week. Sadly still nothing. So I guess unless you're planning an expensive trip, they are not interested in helping you. What a shame since we have been members for such a long time. You would do better just to use Expedia .
Negative experience: Signed up for our very first cruise through this office. Not a good experience at all. The travel agent handling our cruise left and failed to pass on our information. We heard nothing for over 8 months. After we called and was told they knew nothing about it we were assigned to another agent. Unfortunately after we completed our payment we were misinformed and when I called for advice the agent didn’t get back to us because she quit right before our cruise departure. Unfortunately, my husband woke up violently ill the day before we were to leave so we could not go. We lost $1000 even after we were told AAA could arbitrate for us. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE FOR US AND NO CRUISE! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE!

Fantastic experience: I drive to Colorado and back once or twice a year for last seven years. While out West I had to have my pickup towed out of the mountains down into town once after a friend replaced the front end for me. Probably would have cost several hundred (or more) if I didn't have AAA insurance. It's really the only way to travel and even commute locally with your own vehicle and still have peace of mind about it! Plus AAA is the only place you can get city maps nowadays if you are somewhere new and want to get the BIG picture lay of the land. Thank you for being there AAA!
Negative experience: My fiancé has triple a we called at 4 to have his moms vehicle towed because of a flat tire they told us we would have to wait until about 7 they aren’t even here and it’s almost 8 o’clock we didn’t get an update on if the driver was in route because we were also told by one of the representatives we would get an update but we even called to speak to an actual person and they told us that someone was coming no one is still here . Such a disappointment
Negative experience: My parents and I are all AAA members and in the past I have waited maybe an hour for service 2 at the most. I requested service at 9AM. I didn't get service until almost 2pm. When I called Triple AAA they told me that the driver, not them were responsible for giving me an ETA. I never got an ETA TEXT. When the tow truck finally arrived, there was no indication it was triple a, no lettering on the vehicle, no uniform worn, nothing. Further more, triple A drivers are supposed to request an ID from whoever they were picking the car up from. This guy didn't even say hello and just started working the minute he showed up. When he finally got the car on the truck and we took off, on the way to the place he almost clipped two cars in front of us. When we finally got there he parked on the wrong side of the auto service place. We have been long time, loyal AAA members. Premier members at that, and this is the service I can expect? Thank God I wasn't in an actual emergency.
Negative experience: AAA IS STAGING TOW CALLS: IT TOOK THE DRIVER 1.5 HR TO COME AND HE SAID HE JUST GOT THE CALL-HE HAS 30 TOW TRUCKS AND WASN'T BUSY. I WAS BROKE DOWN IN FRONT OF THE POST OFFICE DROP BOX FOR 1.5 HRS ON A FRIDAY AFTERNOON-I WILL NOT BE RENEWING

Negative experience: horrible service. My truck broke down off the interstate and I called for a tow. they said the driver would be there in about an hour. the driver never ever came. every time I called AAA said it was "expedited" and the tow would be there soon. they kept jerking me around and lying to me, saying a tow was on the way. after 5 hours I called a tow truck on my own and had to pay out of pocket. AAA then said the job was completed in the app. I was a platinum member since 2009 and it was a complete rip off. they won't even refund my dues for this year. I will never use them for anything ever again.

Fantastic experience: Has been helping me w/ towing, flat tires, lottsa stuff for years. I went in for help on renewing my passport. Discovered the do homeowners & cat insurance. My old ins. Co. Was insolvent (in Fla). I switched it to AAA. NOW I am looking for more ways AAA IS ON MY SIDE!!!!

Fantastic experience: I dropped in b/c my login wasn’t working correctly. Three agents all came out to assist me. Very nice and helpful people working at that AAA branch. They welcomed me to Gainesville, I got a free Gainesville map poster and several AAA Knick-knacks. I think I’ll go in whenever any of my other Apps act up.
Negative experience: I’ve been a premier member for several years and a member since 1993. AAA refused to tow my broke car because I wanted it towed to a High School Magnet Votech school for donation. Way to support your community and schools AAA!
Negative experience: Was lied to , the lady put my location in wrong so no tow truck ever came, I was broke down on a fast busy interstate with my baby after traveling to see family and was left stuck there 3 and a half hours after they said they were on the way. Worst experience ever with this company I will not be recommending AAA to anyone . Unless you like being jerked around and lied to when you need them most.
Negative experience: AAA driver (small white truck) was being unsafe When the Arrow went from Green to Yellow to Red I stopped, as I should for Safety and to Obey The Law A "RED LEFT turn arrow" for me, so I waited Patiently for it the turn arrow to turn back into flashing yellow AAA truck behind me layed on the horn continuously for 90sec while my turn arrow was RED Improper use of Horn, and unnecessary

Positive experience: Friendly staff but a little pricey on auto insurance, it's nice to have a local office to be able to walk into the aisle so worth a few extra bucks that you might spend versus other companies!

Negative experience: Biggest scam ever , got a membership for a tow then called them they preceded to say that my membership wasn’t active and that I would have to wait three days or pay an extra 50$ after I paid 107$ for the premium membership and after I sucked up to them and said I’d pay the 50 they said I’d also have to pay 7$ a mile after 4 or 5 miles biggest scam in the world all after I paid to become a premium membership I’d never give these scammers my money you have been warned they will try to get every little bit of money the can from you
Negative experience: 19 years member, I called today to two my car to a local welding shop, I was told it's not covered under the membership because it's "convenience" tow. Now the definition of convenience to is : "Don't Renew membership" .

Negative experience: This review is from the daughter of an 87 y/o man who needed a tire change on his dually. It’s hard to really grasp the run around he was given. The number of bad service events that happened from this one service request is unreal. After a week of trying to get service, the last call we got was an abrupt call at 7:00AM that “we don’t provide that service.” End of call.

Negative experience: Had a bad experience using this company after an accident to get my car tow from scene @ midnight & contacted customer service reps several times & waited for more than 5 hours & never dispatched a towing company for assistance until the next morning after waited till 3.00a.m @ the scene. I definitely wouldn’t refer or recommend this company to anyone for service.

Negative experience: I had such a terrible experience with AAA AAA Florida this week- Sunday I booked an event and messed up on what packaged I picked - 2 hours after making the mistake I contacted AAA customer services to explain- they told me they would be able to switch the services and they should be able to return the rest of the money- received an email last night, they told me it was denied, sorry. I contacted customer service this morning when they opened and told me there policies is no refunds. I explained it was a mistake, and I would really like to fix it.. and they said sorry, no refunds or changes. What a terrible company to not even try to fix a mistake, we purched AAA to help our family save some money, but after this whole experience we will be canceling and I hope the rest of my friends who are reading this do the same.
Negative experience: If I could do no stars I would. Called them today at 3:45 ask for information on getting an international driver’s license. Told me I did not have to have an appointment that I could come in today before 5:30. Drove an hour arrived at 4:56 and they tell me they can not do them the person has left…. Sorry nothing we can do!!! I’m so mad right now. Lost 2 hrs of work and I’ll have to do this all over…. How many times???

Negative experience: AAA re-newed my membership without my expressed permission. They just automatically put it on my credit card. Apparently they did it last year ,too, and I did not catch it. I need to review my CC bill more carefully.I originally got this membership as a trial membership in 2019. I still have the 2019 membership card. As far as I know, I was never sent a 2020 card, which would have let me know that I was still a "member". After the trial membership for 2019, it was my intention to let it lapse. I give the company a zero for membership 'services".
Positive experience: Nice people working there. Went to buy gift cards as Christmas gifts but they told me they don't sell cards for retail stores because they are a retail store.
Negative experience: I made a huge mistake by renewing my membership with these folks. I paid for a Premier membership, specifically to receive the 4 free tows (1 200 mile, and 3 100 mile tows) They towed it to the first repair shop, which wanted to sell me a new transmission for $8K when I wanted them to rebuild it, so I called AAA to tow it from there to a transmission shop with one of my remaining 100 mile tows. They tell me that they don't tow the vehicle from a shop that they dropped it off at. Asked to speak to a manager in Customer Relations, Louis flatly told me the same thing "We can't tow the vehicle". So I paid for something that I can't use in the way I intented. Mind you, this was after having to wait 72 hours after paying for the membership, just to use it for the first time. AAA ain't what it used to be. It's now a huge waste of time, hope and money.
Fantastic experience: Car troubles, however small, can be stressful and overwhelming. In my recent vehicle misfortunes, I found almost immediate comfort and reassurance from the service associate who greeted me and gathered the details of the incident. I've never sat on hold, and when asked if I was in a safe place the person on the other end of the line always sounded genuine. I was not surprised by the estimated wait time for a technician or a tow, but I have been consistently impressed by how much sooner help arrived than estimated. The experts who arrive to help have always been exceptionally kind and helpful. They too express genuine concern with making sure I felt safe and reassured. The outstanding service is worth the price for membership (a price that is minimal compared to the cost of assistance from any other company I know of). I highly recommend AAA for peace of mind, and as a relief from the stress of unexpected emergency car costs.

Positive experience: It’s Always a good idea, to have AAA. Better to safe than sorry. The office is friendly and the people who work there, have always been friendly and helpful. They’ve been at that location for many years, last time I was In there, they were upgrading the whole office. It really needed an upgrade and I’m really happy they did.

Negative experience: Horrible experience trying to book a honeymoon. Something that was supposed to be a great experience turned into poor service and no follow up. If your trying to plan something more than a cruise or pre-planned tour don't bother. You will not get the attention you need and will end up planning it yourself anyways. We attempted to start the booking process in December and waited for the travel agent to put an itinerary together for us. The end of January rolled around and we had heard nothing. It took 2 calls to finally set up and appointment which was ultimately cancelled and rescheduled. Then just constant issues including a scheduled appointment where we waited over an hour in the lobby and still wasn't helped. Now we have been waiting almost 3 weeks for follow up and haven't heard anything.
Positive experience: AAA is very expensive they don't care about their customer driving history and they're not willing to save you money when you have a awesome driving record all AAA cares about is making money off of you

Negative experience: As much as I like AAA Roadside their insurance department makes me hate them. Their paperless service is totally dependent on an app even after telling them the app didn't work my insurance got cancelled because I didn't realize they didn't get an automatic payment. Long story short I cancelled my insurance after having it reinstated and they gave me the run around when I tried to get my money back.

Negative experience: not impressed. I bought 4 memberships today and it says right on the website that "services are available immediately". My son had flat tire and he called for assistance. We were told that for an additional $50 he can be served OR he has to wait 72 hours for assistance. Of course they are charging my card today so they are getting their money but NOT providing services. Such a scam and misleading! Truly a bait and switch!
