Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of having Shawn Help me not once but twice in the same day. Unfortunately my vehicle wouldn’t start and it wasn’t the battery but Shawn knew what the problem was only he had another call and I had to wait for my husband to come with another key fob. Like a miracle Shawn came back around to help again ! He is an absolutely wonderful human being and I am blessed to have had him help me!!
Negative experience: the worst customer service, I waited for more than 3 hours for the tow truck, totally unprofessional and disrespectful. I do not recommend it!

Fantastic experience: I visited this branch for an international drivers license and the whole process was completed within 15min. The staff were professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I didn’t know AAA also provides foreign currency exchange and was able to order what I needed. They give a turnaround time of 3-5 business days and my money was there in 2! I will definitely be back to this branch for any future AAA needs.

When I mentioned that I would need to get a Real ID once the new Passport came, I was given all the information about required documentation and exactly how/where to to register for an appointment for this. Appreciated this attention to customer service.

Fantastic experience: Awesome.. I moved to Woburn in 2016 & had AAA in NHl I didn’t realize that Massachusetts was a different region. This office helped me transfer my AAA & maintain my years of membership. I also got my EZPASS in Massachusetts that I still have on my truck to this day…even though I moved back to NH. It is now 2023, and I have never had an issue with using my Massachusetts EZPASS in NH until last fall. NEW HAMPSHIRE is trying to DOUBLE DIP in CHARGING ME TOLL INVOICES even though tolls turn green when I pass through with my MASSACHUSETTS EZPASS & my credit card is paying my Massachusetts EZPASS. I am embroiled in a heated dispute with New Hampshire EZPASS even though my credit card has assured me confirmation that my card is paying Massachusetts. New Hampshire is citing me over $1300 in violations. I am so glad that I kept my Massachusetts EZPASS because there’s been newspaper articles citing PROBLEMS WITH NH EZPASS. I recommend anyone with an out of state EZPASS to keep it even if they live in NH. New Hampshire is a double dipping state! Sadly, NH triple A offices are not allowed to issue NH EZPASS. Seems NH will do anything that makes things harder on residents than easier. I am a 13 year member of AAA…highest level. I loved living in Woburn Massachusetts on the Burlington line. I miss my local amenities.

Negative experience: This was my first interaction with this AAA office. I called to ask a simple question and, although I did get the information I requested, I felt that the woman who answered the phone was very unfriendly, condescending, and rude. If she don't like answering questions for AAA members, then she shouldn't be responsible for doing so.
Fantastic experience: I needed an IDP (International driving permit) and I was expecting to wait 4-5 weeks for it, as the web says. Instead, in 15 minutes I spent at AAA office I had my paper and pics done and I got my IDP. Nice AAA agent and great experience

Negative experience: Before I launch into my complaint about AAA services I would like to add that I’m sharing a bad experience while my vehicle broke down adjacent to Burlington Mall, off Mall Road on Sunday evening. In order to post my story, I had to choose a location. My issue had to do with calling in service on the toll free number not the office location. I suspect my car alternator is the problem however it was eventually towed to my mechanic at Fahey Tire in Wakefield. I can’t say enough positives about them. There is no mechanic I have had used that comes even close to their service. I also discovered that I can use Howe’s Towing also in Wakefield in the future. I was stuck in my car on a cold night from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm, waiting for the tow which showed up at 10:30 pm. A family member who was out of town picked me up. If you have ever been stuck in your car for over 3 hours, in 40-35 degrees, you know it’s uncomfortable. I called AAA repeatedly and will be filing a complaint with their corporate office. There is no excuse. Everything from beginning to end was handled unprofessionally - totally dysfunctional organization. Whatever their internal issues— they need a complete overhaul within this useless company. I have worked for over 30 years and most of it was customer service supporting professionals. I was forced to leave my car unattended with keys in the console due to their incompetence. I refuse to accept that no tow company is close by or available. Maybe there was a game on— whatever the case may be. Or their form of payment for towing is inadequate, regardless, it’s unacceptable. Consider spending the $125 and $7 per mile for Howe’s Tow if you get stuck in this region. It’s worth it and I haven’t used them yet but if Fahey does, then I’m there. Also, there was a discrepancy in what AAA was going to pay the tow that eventually got my vehicle so it was further held up for pick up until I used my credit card to pay the towing company directly. Never use your bank card for any transaction that is unknown— always use a credit card. Nothing against towing just practice this too since scamming cards is a common issue. The worst part was being forced to leave my car unattended since I live 10 miles away from Burlington. Make sure you let the police know your car location to avoid tickets and tow of a different reason. $$$

Negative experience: The registry should be open for walkins as it always has been in the past. It has been over two years everything else in the state has opened except for the registry. Their appointment system does not work as a taxpayer I should be able to walk into a facility that tax money pays for to conduct my business. If you feel the registry should be open for walkins by now please call your governors office and continuously complain.
Negative experience: I came here to renew my license. Firstly, the staff members here were all very helpful and patient, this review only has to do with the set up at the location. There is no baby changing station in the bathroom, so I was instructed to go to Target next door to change my baby’s diaper. I find it unacceptable to not provide a place to change a diaper at a location where people often have to wait for services. After that, I found out that one of my documents was a few days too old for state requirements, so I needed to download a different one from my phone. That was fine, but my service wasn’t great and it was taking a long time to download, so I asked to use wifi. They do not have public wifi. I was again instructed to use Target for their wifi this time. What should have taken 10 minutes took me over an hour. 5 stars for Target. 1 star for AAA Burlington.
Fantastic experience: Friendly, responsive, and able to get my registry transactions done...without the hassle of going to the RMV. They saved the day when we were missing paperwork for a roadtest, too--even stayed late so we had what we needed. Such a positive and helpful place--definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: I disagree with people complaining there's only one person for license renewal. Understand it's a small building. That's why you DO have to make an appointment. If you want a faster, more staff available go to the registry they also work by appointment. I found the people at AAA very kind and helpful and I gave them the patience they deserved

Fantastic experience: I called AAA on a Sunday morning my battery was dead, customer service on phone was easy to navigate and time to reach me was only 30 minutes and they actually got to me before that. They also send you text alerts providing updates on where they are how far away and what time expected arrival is. Technician was great professional and thorough. What a godsend to have AAA service it's so worth it. I'm so happy I know my parents have AAA Service to depend on with any auto issues that arise while on the road especially or even at home. So appreciative.

Negative experience: My friend has been trying to schedule lessons for the past 5 months. Steve Thornhill (the head of AAA in Burlington) has been ignoring her emails for months and my friend has called and emailed many many times. They’re so unprofessional, unresponsive, and lazy. Compared to the other schools in the area like Agganis, Tritown, and even Mass Auto school, AAA is by far the worst and that comes from everyone who has been through the program including me! It is way harder to book and get lessons through AAA than it is at any other school which make it quick and easy with a simple text and a yes or no response from you on whether you would like to claim that lesson. Yes I did go through AAA and pass my test but AAA SUCKS ASSS!!!!!

Fantastic experience: While the RMV does not process new applications for a Real ID during the pandemic, AAA does and this is a great office to choose for this service! It requires making an appointment up to 2 weeks in advance, but when I went to my appointment, there was no wait and they processed my application for a new drivers license with Real ID right away (my wife reported waiting less than 10 minutes for her appointment a couple of weeks earlier). They were very courteous and helpful every step of the way. I was concerned with touching my face to the optometrist machine so I had brought a vision screening certificate that my eye doctor emailed me, which they accepted. Of course, they sanitize the machine between uses, but I wanted to mention it as an option for people who seek extra safety. All-in-all, I highly recommend AAA Burlington!

Negative experience: I arrived at 2:00 on a Monday for a basic vehicle registration renewal and didn't get service until 2:55 despite only a few people being seated ahead of me.
Negative experience: Not sure how anyone could recommend this place for RMV services -- it's a nightmare... never thought it could be WORSE than the actual RMV. Waited 10 minutes in line to sit in line for another 45. Poor customer service, nobody's friendly, zero personality, zero customer service. Like a bunch of robots. Very sad place. If you're in Burlington you can probably get what you need done faster by driving to the Lowell DMV and back before you get RMV service at this AAA. Maybe they have good AAA services but the RMV service is just plain old sad.

Fantastic experience: Speedy, friendly, and efficient. Are you getting your new Real-ID drivers license? Complete your paperwork online first, and bring that printout along with the documents in the checklist. I did, and the capable staff at AAA Burlington finished mine in 20 minutes! I overheard them assist other customers who were confused about the new requirement: somehow they manage to be pleasant and respectful, despite hearing the same problems every day! Where do they buy their coffee? :-) My third time there over the years, and each time it's a 5-star experience. (I can't comment on the other, non-RMV services they provide.)
Negative experience: Went in on Saturday at 12:30 pm (posted hours were 9 am - 1 pm) to transfer title with their RMV service. The line for the RMV was already closed with only one customer remaining. I asked to double check, but they confirmed that they would not take anyone else.
Negative experience: Took 5 hours of my morning to correct the address on the policy. Ultimately did not make the change in time before the DMV closed and had to wait an extra week to purchase my vehicle. I must have called them 7 or 8 times before the change was made. Still waiting for the insurance card. Useless.
Negative experience: Waiting 30 mins while I watch 3 staff not waiting on customers, chatting with each other and looking at pictures on their phones.
Fantastic experience: Purchase AmEx gift cards yearly. 5 or more of any denomination are free. Service is quick and friendly. Also found a wonderful travel purse at a greatly discounted price. Can't beat the service.

Fantastic experience: I've had AAA for a long time, and I'm kicking myself for not knowing this service was available, HAD I KNOWN it could have saved alot of grief in the past. If you don't have AAA this service ALONE is a prime example of why you should, I was in and out with a renewed license application processed and temporary license in hand within MINUTES. Quick, efficient, with pleasant customer service. From now on the go to spot for ALL of my RMV needs (at least the ones they offer)

Fantastic experience: I was in your office on Nov. 4th, & regrettably do not remember the name of the person who handled my application for acquiring the transponders for my husband's and my cars. It was the first day for using a new system for the registry & there were significant issues with same. The person that tried valiantly to process my application with the new system was unsuccessful, despite her incredible patience with multiple attempts.. She carefully explained what would follow in the mail, & exactly how to monitor the follow through with my account.
Fantastic experience: Superb, prompt, service to have my driver's license renewed today. Short wait—two persons before me in line and both were processed very quickly. Agent was pleasant, courteous, and professional. I had downloaded the application form in advance and my renewal process (which included needing an eye test, new photo, and new signature) went quickly. Could not have asked for a better experience.

Negative experience: Specifically called the Burlington branch number to ask if they did passport photos for infants and I was told that yes, they do but would need to lay the baby on a white canvas on the floor. I was fine with that, but when I got to the branch they refused to do the photos saying they would not want to put an infant of the floor to take the photo, and as parents we should not want to put our infant on the floor either. Would not have made the 15 minute trip when I have a CVS 2 minutes from my house. CVS was able to take the photo no problem and we did not have to put our baby on the floor.

Fantastic experience: I recently was able to take advantage of the RMV services at this branch. I had to transfer a vehicle registration. The wait was very short, only about 5 minutes. The actual transaction went quickly as well. The person who helped me was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this branch!

I have visited this location in the past for other services and have always found their staff to be both courteous and helpful. In addition, they are all exceptionally knowledgable about not only the services AAA provides, but the benefits of being a AAA member.
