Fantastic experience: I had the greatest experience at the AAA in San Pedro. Sorry did get the person name. From the front desk to every service I needed was excellent customer service. I got my membership, auto registration and tags. I received a quote for life insurance and got auto insurance coverage. I was in and out with in one hour. Thank you San Pedro AAA

Negative experience: I called in because I was traveling and had a debit card stolen. I was trying to find out who to pay by visa or how to get an extension and the guy who answered the phone hung up on me repeatedly.

Negative experience: Worst service ever the lady couldn’t find my policy, been a policy holder over thirty years, all I needed was my tags for this year!!! Lord should have gone to DMV in Compton probably would gotten better service!! Thank God for the other agent step in helped solve my insurance and tags issue . Sorry to say Long Beach office is best!!!

Negative experience: I went into the RPV location to take my car out of Non Op. Turns out the lady helping me charged me for two years worth of registration renewals with all the fees and penalties. I found this out the next day when I went to the Torrance location and they were not able to refund me or give me my registration stickers. The manager said I have to go to the DMV because of this error from the technician that occurred at RPV. The technician, whose initials are “KGS”, was a grumpy, overweight woman with the worst attitude and snark. I’m leaving one star because there is not an option for zero stars. If she was friendly and gave me a chance to ask a question or clarify what she was charging me for, this probably wouldn’t have happened. She was worse than an actual DMV employee.

Positive experience: The Agents computer kept freezing so she has to keep rebooting her computer. She was so flustered she booked the wrong return details for my flight home, so I had to wait 24 hours to rebook the correct return destination myself.

Fantastic experience: Location is nice and easy. We were able to knock out a bunch of different things in one trip. Passport photo, documents notarized, and some insurance stuff for an accident I was in.

Fantastic experience: I went at a time they weren't busy and it paid off. I had to take care of a simple DMV issue (which is a rarity, I know) and they handled it with courtesy and ease. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes.

Fantastic experience: This is a full service AAA office though the travel services seem smaller than the office on Hawthorne Blvd. Great service by knowledgeable staff and SO much nicer than the DMV. They handle my boat, car, and motorcycle licensing renewals quickly - no fuss no muss. It is important to know that for DMV transactions they cannot take credit cards. I usually write a check.

Negative experience: Came in to transfer ownership of my vehicle. There was no wait outside and it was pretty empty inside. I am use to being greeted but I am guessing that this isn’t practiced at this location. Was assisted by Andrew who from the beginning was hesitant and standoffish. He briefly looked at my paperwork and said they can’t assist me because I purchased the vehicle from a dealership. He then doubled checked with someone else to confirm. I’ve completed similar transfers at AAA so I asked what changed, he goes over the information about it being a transfer from a dealership and adds “it’s that simple and clear!” It’s alarming that AAA doesn’t train their employees, who are servicing a diverse population, about mindfulness and ethical behavior. I speak and understand English and it was inappropriate and unprofessional for him to belittle me and state how “clear and simple” his information was. This wouldn’t have been his attitude if I was in his race group and it’s discrimination at it’s finest!

Fantastic experience: During this Covid Pandemic, AAA staff were organized and very quick processing my Registration. There were two sets of social distancing tape lines; blue ones for check in and red ones on the opposite side of the door for waiting for your paperwork, tags, etc. It was a little bit quicker and smoother than the old way, sitting in the waiting area.
