The company uses a helpful app where all our travel data was easily accessible while we were on the road! Highly Recommend Ryan and his company for all your travel needs. Fantastic experience: Our travel agent Ryan Roman from Sunset Travel guided, coordinated and organized our dream wedding at Dreams Natura in Cancun Mexico on 10/26/24. My husband and I shopped around for an agent who could help us find exactly what we visioned as a destination wedding. He skillfully and patiently listened to our requests, followed through and delivered. Our wedding was amazing. From the location, to those who coordinated events and the staff who decorated and weighted on us hand and foot. It all turned out exactly how we wanted. Ryan took the time to understand what we wanted for our wedding. He communicated clearly, worked diligently with hotel staff, and responded in a timely manner with all my guests. I highly recommend Ryan for any future destination weddings or leisure traveling. We have kept in contact with him as we plan our future family vacation in April 2025.

Fantastic experience: I am so happy with my experience with Sunset Travel & Cruise. I was looking for an easy getaway with my mom over Thanksgiving but had no time or energy to get anything together. When I submitted an inquiry, Martha Galvez responded right away. She was so helpful and attentive to detail and she created the perfect trip for us. We had no issues or friction points. The travel was smooth, transportation was seamless, and the accommodations she selected for us were beyond expectation. My mom and I had a wonderful time and are so grateful to Martha. Negative experience: The Club Barbados is in desperate need of a COMPLETE renovation, in EVERY area. The guest rooms, (2) restaurants and pool area are NOT quality accommodations at ALL. The locks to the guest rooms don’t function at all, thank goodness there was a chain for the door. The sliding glass door for outside access didn’t work, I had to contact maintenance to repair that lock. The rooms are totally outdated and requiring updating. We went with a group, and it was the overall consensus for every room occupied. The Club Barbados owner/management is NOT focused on a quality experience/stay for the guest.

Fantastic experience: We just returned from a Europe trip set up by Ryan & all of his selections of hotels were excellent. The location of hotels were in perfect spots in the cities & the flights/train schedule was excellent along with transport to & from airport. Also, kudos to Eva Air that provided outstanding service to Asia. If anyone had doubts, as I did, rest assured they are a top notch airline and operate very efficiently. Positive experience: Martha Galvez is always wonderful when it comes to booking our all inclusive trips!! However, the resort we stayed at in Aruba was not to my liking this year! The check in clerk was not very welcoming! Her uniform was filthy! There weren’t any entertainment shows on the resort! The food was not very appetizing! They didn’t have a wide selection of restaurants and stated they didn’t serve mimosa until after 12noon!! What!! Upon arrival to the room, Had to call room service to have the toilet seat replaced for as it was scarred and stained! The air conditioning was dripping water was all over the floor behind the lounge area leading towards my bed! Definitely a slip and fall hazard! No accommodations for the mini fridge, it was completely empty and hot! Wow! No complimentary soap everything glued to the walls as far as shower gel and soap! It’s almost as if they scaled back on all accommodations!! Definitely didn’t feel like all inclusive and I paid more for this trip than I’ve ever paid!! Will never stay at the Divi all inclusive Aruba again!!

Each excursion offered a different experience and the guides were all phenomenal. We loved the small group tours or private in some instances. Made it very personal and unique. Fantastic experience: Renée at Sunset Travel worked with us from start to finish,on the process of creating a once in a lifetime trip to the Paris Olympics! She helped create an itinerary that included Brittany and Normandy; listened to all our requests to accommodate our love of history.It was extraordinary from St.Malo,the historic towns of Dinan, Dinard,&St.Suliac.(We took the road less traveled and it was Amazing!)Then Mont-Saint-Michel, Bayeaux,Normandy ( American D-Day Beaches)and then the Paris Olympics!We had family and friends tickets for Olympic events. Very nice hotels walking distance from sites of interest. We could see the Parthenon from our balcony. Fantastic experience: My wife and I hade an absolutely wonderful time on our Mediterranean cruise. Viking was absolutely fantastic, from the small, but important, details to the larger ones. Viking met us at the Rome airport and kept us under their wing (so to speak) until we boarded our homeward flight at Barcelona. All staff were always friendly and helpful. It was such a relief to have them looking after all the details like luggage, transfer, etc. And they couldn't have been nicer or more professional. Our accommodations on the ship were absolutely out of this world. We loved the Nespresso machine, room service, afternoon tea, the fantastic food, the wonderful sights, and lively conversation with fellow passengers. It exceeded our highest expectations. The quality of the two hotels was consistent with all the rest. We got lucky with the weather, and our air connections were made without a hitch. All in all, this was just as close to a perfect trip that one could have. Our travel agent Whitney of Sunset Travel & Cruise was the mastermind behind all of this. She did a superb job.

Positive experience: I think that the agents at Sunset should do a bit more research on the hotels that the clients choose. We stayed at the Riu Palace Antillas Hotel in ARUBA. This hotel is listed as a 4 star hotel but it was 2 star at best. The hotel is supposed to be renovated, but when my friends went to their room they found that the handle in the shower came off in their hand. There were 6 of us and we were all placed on separate floors. The hotel is all inclusive, but the restaurants have very limited capacity. They are first come first serve and do not take reservations. The menus are very limited. Umbrellas at the pool were scarce. If you didn't get there early, you were out of luck.The airport shuttle service did not allow enough time for us to get to the airport. They scheduled 3 hours for us to be picked up to go to the airport, but we really needed 5 hours as the lines are extremely slow and long. My friends almost missed their flight. If I were Sunset I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Sunset Travel / Martha saved our family vacation!! When our extended family (10 people) agreed on Costa Rica for a special trip, we naively thought we would book it ourselves. After 20-30 hours of combined research, we gave up completely... and then Martha saved the day. In about 2 hours, she created the perfect solution -including direct flights, 2 different hotels, and all transfers. Her experience and advice was invaluable. Fantastic experience: My First Trip to Italy Working with SunsetTravel&Cruise to plan my first ever solo trip to Italy was highly valuable. Being a new tourist to Italy, I had little knowledge of where to go, where to stay, and what tours to take; but they did. In Rome, I stayed at Hotel Alessandrino near the Vatican. I arranged all my train rides, and I recommend taking the regional trains from the airport that stop right there at Roma San Pietro station, avoiding the Termini station. Since it was within sight of St. Peter’s dome it was easy to navigate the streets and get around. The hotel was a bit hard to find at first, but once I did, I realized it is conveniently located near the Vatican, restaurants, shopping, laundry, etc. My room was small but clean and comfy. The hotel is staffed 24 hours by a hotel attendant who kept my room key every time I left the hotel for security. There were no breakfasts, but there is a bar just down the street for coffee and a cornetto pastry. I took wonderful tours to the Vatican Museum (not to be missed), the Colosseum Underground and Forum, and a Personal Running Tour of Rome at 6:30am. Being Catholic, I have to say my most breathtaking and spiritually moving experience was visiting St. Peter’s Basilica. It’s the world’s largest church and was my single most valuable part of the trip. Even if you are not religious, it’s worth visiting. A high-speed train took me to Naples where I stayed at the Hotel Nuvo (4 stars), just west of the city center near Bagnoli. The hotel is great, offering full breakfasts at 7:00-10:00 daily. The neighborhood and Napoli itself is a very old well-used city. Although it had a lot of graffiti and trash on the streets, I never felt threatened because everyone was friendly. The city center is a 5 stop train ride from the hotel and the sea/beach area is about a half mile walk along a walled in street. The wall hides an old industrial site being rehabbed, but it has a 600m long public pier with a fabulous view of the sea, mountains, and islands. There is a nice restaurant attached to the hotel and other good restaurants nearby. It took a tour of Pompei, and on the following day rode the train into town to visit the National Archaeological Museum of Naples where all the best artifacts from Pompeii are located. Naples’ city center is extremely busy, noisy, dirty, crowded, and had little clean air to breath due to the traffic and pedestrians smoking. My last day was spent exploring and relaxing at the zoo. Positive experience: They did a great job planning a trip for my daughter and I to Rome and Barcelona. They handled every detail and GREATLY simplified this process for me. They were also able to get us booked on direct flights that were much more costly on Google Flights.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time using a travel agency (I'm usually plan our family vacations) so I was anxious to use a travel agent. I'm so glad I found Sunset Travel. Our plan was very customized due several variables, including a road trip portion and a stay with friends in Germany. It was complicated. Renee was fantastic, coordinating everything from flights, hotels, rental car, and activities. It was amazing and I plan to use Sunset Travel for our future trips.

Fantastic experience: Renee planned our trip to Italy. It exceeded our greatest expectations. This was the first time we used an agency. I had planned all our trips in the past. I could not believe how easy Renee made our trip. She took the time to understand what we wanted to see and do. She worked with us every step along the way to make sure our needs were met. The plans she put together were top notch. The accommodations she suggested were beyond our expectations. The coordination of drivers and tour guides was amazing. A few minor glitches could not have been prevented. The weather had plans of its own. It was nice to have the daily itinerary on our phone with suggestions for restaurants and things to see/do when we had free time. We will definitely use Renee again.

Positive experience: I previously used this company for a trip last year and my agent was great however this year I planned a birthday trip for my son and my travel information was not given to me properly and instead of the agency offering a solution or even a discount to help with pricing they just placed everything on me to fix although no information was given over something that was specifically asked for multiple times. There's no empathy just so called protocol and a request for payment THATS NOT FAIR!!!

Fantastic experience: We had the vacation of our dreams thanks to Ryan from Sunset Travel. We were originally just planning on going to Paris but after talking to Ryan we began planning a trip to London first and then traveling to Paris by train. Every part of the trip was seamless - from hotels, private tours, transportation, and recommendations. Having an Itinerary available on our phone was so helpful! We had a small hiccup when one of our site visits got cancelled but even with the time difference, Ryan was available to talk to us and very helpful. Fantastic experience: Competence and professionalism is what you get when working with Sunset Travel. Martha planned a wonderful vacation for my family to Cabo, and even had to do some juggling along the way, removing one person from traveling with us and adding another. She never missed a beat and made sure the accommodations were top shelf. We relied on her expertise and followed her recommendation to stay at the Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos. Really great place to stay, especially for a group with a 17 year old and 2 twenty nothings. Everyone had a great time, and it was due in large part to Sunset Travel and Martha. Her communication with us was always prompt and professional, and she facilitated everything for us. We're very appreciative for all the efforts made on our behalf, as they gave us lifelong memories.

Fantastic experience: Amazing way to travel. I planned a 3 week Greece and Italy trip with Renee. It took about 10 months for us to plan but she made the process painless. For starters I was able to share exactly what I wanted and more importantly what I did not want. The hotel selections were PERFECT. I loved every hotel we stayed at and appreciated the range of amenities available. Especially loved the stays in Positano where we were able to get a large suite and stay right on the water. If you are on the fence about using a travel agent, I would say it is so so worth it. We were able to hand select when we wanted a driver, where we wanted to tour, how long we wanted at each place. It took all the stress of traveling out of our trip so we could just enjoy! Renee also had documents waiting with our drivers for things like tours and other travel arrangements. Really enjoyed the experience on the trip and working with Renee!

Fantastic experience: Sunset Travel & Cruise made vacation planning so easy. We gave them our dates and budget and they did all the heavy lifting. They provided us with multiple itineraries and we picked the one that worked best for us. That was it folks! The next thing we had to do was go on vacation. We had a lovely time and everything was seamless our transportation was waiting for us at airport in Mexico. Update July 2023 We just came back from our second vacation planned with Sunset Travel. It was even better than our last trip! We had a 10 day tour of Southern Africa, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Sunset Travel did all the heavy lifting. All we had to do is show up. Our itinerary was completely handled by them, transportation from airports and to tourist sites were all handled and arranged by them. We felt like a VIPs! Our agent was in touch with us throughout the trip to ensure everything went smoothly. We will continue to use Sunset for all our future travel needs.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to visit Paris for my 60th birthday present to myself and by myself. I honestly remembered this company when I went to college nearby in the 1980's. Renee and Latrissa listened to wanted I wanted to do and arranged the flight and hotels. They made suggestions - some I took - and they made the arrangements. I had a very enjoyable trip with no difficulties until the flight home which was delayed. I was informed by Renee on this and Latrissa welcomed me home. Fantastic experience: A+++++ Ryan Roman is amazing. He helped us book our honeymoon in Hawaii the day we reached out on 10/10 and we left a week later. He sent multiple options for hotels and flights, which was great for seeing pricing. We are soo thankful for his recommendations since we took them and had the best honeymoon!
