Negative experience: I have been calling since 10:00 this morning. After 30 minutes or so I hung up. I have repeated this three times today. All I get is this stupid background music. Very fed up!!!!!

Typically if we are unable to answer at our office here the calls would go to the other offices or call center unless it was a roadside call. Were you calling for a roadside issue? If so, that would be a different call line then our office here. If this was a non roadside issue please let us know so we can look as to why the call was not directed. Negative experience: I dont understand why these people are recognized as emergency service. Had member ship an entire year i finally go to use it qnd its worthless. My car is sitting running with the key in it and i have my daughter. Who answers for this? No one. They foward you from one person to the next. I FINALLY get a call back 30 minutes later only to be told i wipp need to wait up to 60 min till they get here. Why pay you people at all???

Negative experience: I’ve had a membership since 1993 and I purchased A membership for my daughter in 2017. Today she ran over a mail and had a flat on 83S during rush hour around 7:50 am. She called for assistance and the woman she spoke with told her to call back at 9 am!!! Why am I paying For roadside assistance if no one takes a call until 9 am. This is not sitting well with me at all and hopefully someone from AAA CAN EXPLAIN THIS!

Fantastic experience: Quick and easy title transfer
Negative experience: Have been a member for over 30 years and have uses them to book trips in past. Two times this year i have calles requesting help with booking 2 separate vacations. No response from anyone, despite being promised someone would call.
Negative experience: I am disappointed in the service I received, or rather didn’t receive on 5/29/23. When I finally was able to talk to an actual person, he was of no help and in fact, couldn’t find that I even had an account. A frustrating situation was made worse by a phone call to AAA that was supposed to help me. We pay for a service that is supposed to be helpful when I’m on the road but yet that didn’t happen. When calling the roadside assistance number after telling me to call 911 for emergencies, the next option should be to talk with an agent. Please review your policies and procedures, as well as your phone recordings, to make sure you are being the most helpful and putting your members safety first!

Fantastic experience: Easy and fast service
Positive experience: How do you make a notary appointment? I've been on hold for a long time?
Negative experience: The last 3 times that I have stopped in at this location have been laughable. You pay a yearly membership to talk to a computer while employees sit back and watch you and get annoyed because they have to actually work. I am seriously considering dropping my membership with you guys. Not today but the last time I stopped in (roughly beginning of November) there were 5 employees all sitting around drinking coffee and talking. I tried getting their attention and they would look the opposite direction, pretending not to see me. I waited 10 minutes and nobody ACKNOWLEDGED that I was even there. I got up and left. The employees here want paychecks but don't want to work. I shouldn't have to drive 20 minutes to go to another location when this one is so much closer.

Negative experience: We have been members for over 10 years mainly for road side assistance which we never used until Monday 12/5. My wife’s car batter was dead at her workplace. She called AAA and was told dispatch would call her back in 10 minutes with an ETA. One and a half hours later the phone rang twice, hung up and did not leave a message. She was able to have someone give the battery a jump at her work place. When I called the number who just rang us the gentleman hardly apologized and stated well someone jumped the battery so that’s good. Yes it was good but not why I pay a membership to AAA for such poor service.

Fantastic experience: I am a long time AAA member. Mainly for the roadside assistance but I have booked a couple trips through them also with no issues to complain of. Pretty well known company with a good reputation. Our local office has friendly, knowledgeable staff, great customer service. Overall AAA is a mainstay for a lot of car owners and travelers but they offer an array of service including discounts at a lot of your favorite places.
Fantastic experience: Great place. It was busy when I arrived to do my title transfer but the wait went quick and the staff knows what they're doing. The actually transfer took less than 10 minutes.
Negative experience: can not reach them by phone, not sure if anyone works there
Negative experience: Just called for the 4th time since March 2022 to receive my membership card... Still nothing
Positive experience: Went here to get an International Driver's Permit and was told they don't have any application forms, so they directed me to another location. Found out later that the form can be printed from their website, so I'm not sure why they couldn't do that for me at the time. Each time I tried calling that location, I got bounced to another branch or to a generic operator before getting an extension number of someone to speak with there. I haven't really ever used AAA, so I'm not sure what to expect, but in general I would have hoped for better customer service.

Positive experience: I needed two documents to be notarized, and I needed to have 2 witnesses to get it done. I had done this a few years ago at the Camp Hill office. They had two people who worked in that office who could be my witnesses. Everything was done quickly and very efficiently. So, this year I returned to that same office to have my documents notarized. I was told they could not do it because they cannot provide witnesses any longer. I would have to bring my ow witnesses. That makes everything a lot more difficult for me. I found that I can have my documents notarized at the UPS store, and they will provide the witnesses too. I am very disappointed in AAA. I pay for my membership but they cannot provide the service they say they will provide!
Thank you for your review and for the feedback. Our witness policy has changed from several years ago. While we are happy to witness some documents, our employees are not able to witness personal documents such as Wills, estate related and POA documents.

Fantastic experience: I recently took a trip and due to construction caught something causing two tires to developer a "slow" leak. I got home very late, had an early appt. in the AM, and didn't get to try and fix what turned into a flat till after work. Tire wouldn't come off. AAA to the rescue, right? My tech DeAndre was awesome. He was quick to get here. Polite and professional, but more than that kind. He was very helpful with information as well as getting the spare on for me. Found out as soon as we were done he had another pressing call, but he never made us feel like he was rushed. He is awesome. My experiences have always been good, but this was beyond all. Thank you, DeAndre!!!

Negative experience: I had to go there several times because the customer service Representatives fail to give me the information I needed. I believe they assumed I knew everything about registering a car in Pennsylvania when I knew nothing. I had to move my truck so the person could see the VIN even though the van was clearly printed on the registration. The second representative did not know enough to give me back the original copies of my documentation. I had to remind her to give me back the originals. When I called to set up the initial appointment I was told I would have to pay sales tax. When I pointed out that I was neither buying or selling but merely registering the vehicle the representative said, "Oh yes, that's right." It ended up costing me almost $200. I'm not sure if this is standard for Pennsylvania but my words of advice are thus: don't go here!
We are sorry to read of your experience. The title transfer process can offer lots of variables, including transferring current PA titles, transferring instate with an out of state title to the same owner or a different owner. In each example, different forms and processes may factor in to play to meet PennDOT requirements. Our apologies if we were unable to qualify your needs initially and cause you additional stress. Thank you for the review so we can explore alternate ways to clarify and communicate processes with our members to improve the overall experience. Our goal is to anticipate as much as we can so we can provide our members with all the necessary requirements for each unique PennDOT transaction.
Negative experience: I have been a member in the Central PA AAA for over 2.5 years. Calling their 800 number, I waited for a call back from an agent. When he called he found my name but not my membership. He then transferred me to another AAA "agent" and this person couldn't find anything current about me in their system. However, they found my old California membership but not the PA membership. I then called AAA Central PA office in Camp Hill where I signed up for the service and after going through the ROBOT prompts for their "direct number" several times; each time I was disconnected. REALLY? How disjointed does a company have to be to lose their patrons? Well, I think this is the limit. Excruciatingly horrible "service".

Fantastic experience: Despite being short staffed during covid (hence being hard to reach on the phone), the folks at the office were incredibly kind, accommodating, competent, and were able to take care of registering my out of state car efficiently. Negative experience: My wife and I were trying to get a title transferred over to us, and we were told 2 different rules...one from a notary, one from aaa. So we went back today to aaa to get clarification. We met a nice lady who then asked a lady named Amber for help. When Amber came over she showed immediate attitude and I immediately wanted to leave. I understand having to follow policy and procedures. What I dont like is having someone show attitude when I was there to get clarification on a few things...especially when we were being told different things. Makes me not want to reup my membership next month. Not the type of service I would expect at a customer service based business. Update...and since I posted this, I have heard no response from them. No can you please call. No I am sorry for the experience you had at our office. Nothing. What a great example of how not to retain membership.

Positive experience: Always a great experience! As an international travel, I rely heavily on their services. Only downside is, if you are a member selling a car to a non-member, you cannot use their services. That is the only thing keeping this from a 5 star rating.
Thank you for taking the time to review AAA at Camp Hill. Actually a Non-Member can use our services for PennDot work, they would just pay a higher fee than a Member would. We can certainly sign them up to save on their transaction and tell them about all the other savings available to them, and there are many! We have our FREE Shredding Event coming up on September 14th 9-12 for our Members.

Fantastic experience: I haven been there twice for notary and found the staff very friendly and educated. I once had to notarize a document which UPS at Hampden center declined to do as the lady there was simply not interested, after that I went to PennDot licensing agent on Carlisle and people there were simply unaware of the process. I had to explain them how notary works. With utter frustration I left and went to AAA and found them awesome.

Negative experience: I've been a member for over 40 years and have booked many, many wonderful vacations through AAA. Unfortunately, the trip we booked in February was disappointing due to the fact that we did not get airline seat assignments, even though the agent said she would ensure we had seats together, and would email the info to us. We called a week later and were told we had to get our own seats assigned at the airport the morning we were departing. Had we known this, we would have paid extra or went on a different airline. The whole reason we went to AAA was to have the entire trip booked so we could just enjoy it, now we may not even get seats together. Very stressed and disappointed . I will definitely use AAA Travel again, but I will be making sure everything is booked as requested.
