Negative experience: Just got a call regarding a complaint I am filing because I was lied to by a battery tech in NC that represents AAA who claimed that my battery had been too discharged (48%) to be honored under warranty by Advanced auto so I had to buy a battery. They representative that capped me times me that I shouldn’t bother filing the complaint because AAA isn’t going to do anything about it? He literally was bullying and condescending to me. This is AAA now? Someone representing your company on a roadside assistance call can lie about needing a service just to make money and a AAA customer figures out that they’ve been lied to and can’t file a complaint that’s going to remedy the loss of $305.00 that I never even had to spend because that technician who is representing AAA lied???!!!!!!! I’m not renewing my membership! I didn’t ask to me lied to! I can’t believe you have thieves you would rather keep happy than your customers.

Negative experience: Recently purchased AAA Premier Plan, a few weeks later needed to have my vehicle towed as it was not drivable. The woman I spoke with when I called was very rude and told me my vehicle did not qualify for the towing. Will be cancelling my membership and getting a refund. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. Have had AAA on and off for years and have never experienced anything like this before.

Negative experience: I have had a AAA membership for almost 20 years. I have used their roadside assistance maybe 5 times over those years. I have never had to wait over an hr. I recently had to put in a call for roadside assistance. I was 15 min outside of Pensacola and was told that my wait time would be 3 and a half hours ... or 210 min as the robo caller said. One part of their app said 9:27 and the other app said 10:27pm which I assume is jacked up between CST and est. I initially was coaxed by their site to going through the steps of submitting my request online since they claim "that's the fastest method" but the only tow locations were to their certified AAA shops, with no option to have my truck towed to my house. I had to call in and wait until I got a rep, then they finally submitted my request saying the technician would call me. About 30 min later I got a robo call that said it would be 3 and a half hrs (which is a fun time to spend in the middle of August on the side of the road with no AC), so I called back and spoke to a rep who apologized and said the driver was going to call me as soon as we were done with the call to let me know specifically if I'd have to wait that long or not...guess what, it was another robo call. So I called back in and waited again, the next rep said "the driver is saying he would be finishing his current job in 45 min and was about 45 min from my location." I asked if AAA only had a single driver and he said "no, I can call dispatch and see if we have a driver with sooner availability." So he claimed a new driver would be there sooner and would call me ....guess what? Another robo call and it said my expected wait time was now 180 min, keep in mind my first call was an hour prior. I will be canceling my membership and encouraging my family, especially my elderly family members to do the same. I gave it two stars, because several years ago they were a great company who was always quick to help, so the extra star is for the history. My family has always used them and have all been members for decades. This is no longer the case, sadly.

Negative experience: My daughter called for a tow last night because her radiator busted. We stayed on hold for 20 minutes waiting to be passed to someone who could help us with a tow. Finally got through and were told someone should be there within the hour. Hour goes by and on the app it says track your wrecker, nothing showed up. An hour later still no one, called back waited another 20 minutes on hold before we could speak to someone, then were told the driver was in route, I asked them to contact the driver so we would have an idea of when he would be there. Was told another 30 minutes, I asked what happens if he has not shown up, she advised us to call back. I said so we can wait another 20 minutes on hold, she just said call back. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she just put me on hold, so another 15 minutes of waiting and no one picks up. I have the Premier membership, which AAA says is the top plan. The tow truck showed up a little after 10 PM. Unacceptable!!! Glad I was able to go stay with my daughter while we waited, otherwise she would been alone for 3 hours waiting. I am cancelling my membership. Worst customer service I have seen in a long time. Don't recommend the roadside assistance package to anyone
