AAA Vancouver - Cruise & Travel

Fantastic experience: Always very helpful. Great for last minutes travel essentials- maps, sleep masks, ear plugs, etc. Need 3-5 day to order currency. Save money don’t do this at the airport.

Negative experience: So is AAA roadside worth your money? I use to say yes but now I’m not so sure. Twice they have denied to tow my car. The first time the nearest address was a tow company but since I put their address down. They told me they don’t tow out of tow yards but I wasn’t at the tow yard and they basically called me liar and refused to tow me. The second time and this is the time that really makes me mad. My wife had a medical emergency and had to leave by ambulance so I called AAA and they told me that doesn’t count as an emergency for them lol and left me having to pay a tow company a second time. AAA used to be a great company but now all they seem to do is take your money and find reasons not to help. So give them 150 bucks if you want but there is a good chance they will find a reason to leave you on the side of the road.

Negative experience: Have tried to speak with an agent 3 times. I left a message with 3 different agents with no call back. My agent is no longer with them , and no notification. Called their 800# twice, both times on hold for over 50 mins. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!

Negative experience: Michelle Horch, the woman working the auto/home insurance inside of this AAA was helpful when it came to signing me up for auto/renter's insurance but beyond that don't expect anything from her. My auto policy was cancelled out of nowhere because they thought maybe my little sister (who lives in CA and doesn't drive) was living with me in WA. She was and is incredibly unresponsive and not helpful. I would highly recommend getting car and auto insurance elsewhere.

Negative experience: The people that work there are not very friendly, customer service skills are almost none existent, you feel like more of a problem to them. I gave 2 stars because I was able to get a little information on what I was looking for, but the customer service was not great. I have decided to book my trip on my own instead of AAA.

Fantastic experience: We were having many issues with our previous Statefarm policy and were absolutely fed up! I had contacted Kristina Aleshina and she did a wonderful job helping us fix all our issues! We are so glad to have found her and will only work with her in the future!

Negative experience: Requested a tow online (supposed to be faster than calling per their VM when you first call). Did it online 2 hours in advance of time requested. Tow company called immediately saying they would be there in 15 mins and I referenced that I had specifically asked for an 11am tow when I could be back at my car to give keys to the driver. He said ok and they he would see me then, they at 11:05 I called driver back who said he was on another call and had no idea if anyone else had been dispatched. Such very POOR service. Guess the couple hundred I spend on AAA each year is really a waste of money when you actually use it (which is rare). They I sat on hold with AAA for 15 mins before hanging up. Very poor service indeed. Its 11:30 and with 2.5 hours notice, I still have no tow.

Positive experience: Well, I went to get a Washington State map but they did not have any unless you were a member. I guess it's been awhile since I was a member, but I used to get them free, membership or not. But to not even let me buy a map I believe is not great for the AAA business. The alternative the gal gave me was a $32.99 tabletop book of Washington State. Very nice but not easy to read while driving! Where do you get maps these days? A book store is where she told me to go. This was over a week ago, didn't get to the bookstore as I was certain our local visitor center would have maps but they got moved, I don't know where so I am still looking for a map! Sheesh, what happened to good tourism & making it easy for locals and out of state visitors to find places of interest easily? Oh, of course, let's blame COVID 19, elected officials, aliens, the Russians and how about Bigfoot!?

Negative experience: At Christmas they offered you savings to purchase a membership for roadside assistance to a family member or a friend. I couldn’t accomplish this online so I went down to the local office. The lady at the counter did an awesome job helping me place the order the recipient received the email. Now it’s Late January and can you believe the membership card I purchased as a gift for someone else, was sent to me in Vancouver WA. Inside was my recipients name on the card, who lives in St. Maries Idaho. Clearly I went to the PO and mailed it to the recipient. My advice would be to make sure you know what you should expect when you leave the office. My belief was that since the recipient received an e mail they would provide information on where to send the membership card. My bad !!!

Fantastic experience: They reserved a car for my upcoming trip and, when my flight was changed, helped me change the rental car reservation. At first, the car agency treated it like a new reservation with a higher price than the initial one. Sarah spent a lot of time working on it and actually got a slightly better price than the first deal. She wouldn't give up until I got the kind of treatment she thought I deserved. Very impressed!!!!

Fantastic experience: You can get AAA Plus insurance and it only cost $92 a year you get your car towed if it breaks down they change a flat tire they bring you gas for your car they unlock your car and even if you're over a hundred miles away they will still come you and the car they have a lot of good deals to I'm traveling suitcases and so forth

Negative experience: Very bad Coustomer service .Go some where else .I went there 2 times first time after 20 mins they said we are busy come next day . next day they got copy from my driver license and car title then said we will contact you for quote . its one month and they didnt contact for giving me a qoute . Negative experience: In the process of a renovation, cargo containers on the small parking area, interior in semi completion. No one acknowledged or assisted upon entry. Long wait time...not a great experience for a AAA client.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I had travel agent Molly Peterson help us plan and book our vacation going to Philadelphia Pa.,Amish country,Gettysburg,Mt.Vernon and all historical points in between,finally ending the journey in Washington D.C.She went out of her way to schedule the plane flights to our destinations with our time frame we had in mind and make sure that all hotels we stayed in were in close proximity to the museums and points of historical interest that we wanted to see in each of the cities we visited.Having super travel agent Molly help us plan and confirm all of the places that we visited made for a very enjoyable time that we will remember forever.Thank you again Molly! Fantastic experience: I'm really grateful for AAA. I called to find out if they could help me plan my cross country trip 2 Oklahoma from Washington. They prepared a triptik for me and provided me with maps of each state I was going through, as well tour books. This office only took one day to do all these things and because of my AAA card, there was no charge.

Fantastic experience: I went in to the Vancouver store to pick up a paper map and tour guides for an upcoming trip to Hawaii's big island. Jenny is the one who assisted me. She was super sweet, friendly and helpful. The store has a good variety of travel books, hats, purses, compression socks, just all kinds of travel stuff. They also have a surprisingly large parking lot. I'm really glad I went in person instead of having the map and guide books mailed to me.

Fantastic experience: All AAA locations are fantastic. This one has friendly helpful staff and a large space full of travel items to buy. They handle a lot of cruise travel as well so if you are a member and want to cruise make sure you stop in. As a member from Oregon the only difference is that it seems to take my card longer to scan here than at the locations in Oregon. But a small thing.

Fantastic experience: We came into the store to update our AAA Roadside assistance, and noticed the travel agents there. We then sat down with Jennifer and she booked us a cruise for our honeymoon. The experience was great, she answered all our questions and went above and beyond to make sure we understood the whole process and what we needed to know while on the ship or ported in the cities. Their prices were the best we had found when searching the internet as well. We will definitely be booking our travel through AAA.

Positive experience: It is very handy to have AAA when you need them, but their members have seemed to have a hard time listening and relaying messages to their drivers lately. This is the second time now that I have specified directions as map quest isn't the best for our area. They have not relayed my directions to their drivers and they end up lost for 30+ minutes which ends up being a frustrating situation for the drivers and I.

Negative experience: I dont want to give any stars. Is appalled at the customer service I received today. I was a AAA member for 2 whole days. 2 days ago I was really excited to join AAA with my own membership, felt like a grown up thing to do as I just turned 30. I called today for my 1st tow and was treated horribly. The first lady I spoke with to set up my tow was very rude, I was told I had to either ride with my car or agree to follow the tow truck or the call would not be placed, even tho I stated the car was going to my brother in laws to be fixed, he was expecting it and would be home and provided his information, she finally stated that I would have to ask the driver, she asked me what my plate number was, I happened to be about 10 minutes away from the car and didnt know it off hand. She then told me she needed it before they started the call, I asked if she could please start the call since I would be there in 10 min and would call right back, I was told I had 10 minutes to get her the plate number or my service call would be canceled. I later found out my plate number wasnt even needed in the first place. After hearing nothing for over an hour (no text either) I called to check the status and was told there was a 2 hour delay, even tho I was told an hour originally so that my pick up time would be 3:34 at approx 3:40 I called yet again, this time the lady called and asked where the truck was, i was told the driver would be pulling in any minute, i said great and hung up. As soon as i hung up i got a text saying i wouldnt be picked up until 4:29, another 45min about. I called yet AGAIN and was told that the truck wouldnt be there until 4:29 even just minutes ago they were supposedly pulling in any minute. Because of this my car was NOT able to be fixed today and I have to go another week without a car. After speaking with a manager who didnt really seem to care or try to make it right in anyway I canceled my membership only to be told I have to wait until Friday for it to be processed. I dont understand how treating people this way is acceptable. The rudeness of that first lady was shocking, asking questions that she had no business. Was really excited to be a member and enjoy all these perks you always hear about but unfortunately I cant support a company who would treat a customer, a new members first call even, in this way. Shameful! Looks like Uber it is for a week.
