Negative experience: Went on a wade tour a few weeks ago, still bothers me that I’m not sure what the tour was of. The seats were uncomfortable and the crowd I was with was unsavory to say the least. The tour guide whose name escapes me tried his best, but given he didn’t know what we were touring either - none of it made sense from his end. A bathroom facility would’ve been a nice touch, I was yo-yoing a white whale for a half an hour. 1 star.
Fantastic experience: We just got back from a trip to Lancaster to Sight and Sound theater. The trip was awesome but the most awesome part was the bus driver and the host. The bus driver‘s name was John and the host name was Cathy. They were both the greatest.
Negative experience: Bus driver can’t read street signs, decided it’s cool to park in a driving lane. Caused a traffic jam at a busy intersection.
Negative experience: Bus had multiple indicator lights on, including check engine and Stop lights; the other bus we were traveling broke down and we had to sit on the side of the road for over and hour with over 100 high school kids at 8:30 at night. 4 hours left until we get home and that means close to 2am! Our bus driver ran red lights, didn’t stay in his lane, frequently drifting onto the rumble strips or the next lane.
Negative experience: Do you love being break checked 24/7? If so sign up right now for this once in a lifetime experience, literally. It will give you the thrill your life, constantly trying to decipher if you will make it home alive or not. Loved having the first bus make it on time to our planned destination while our secondary bus was constantly behind by anywhere from 20-45+ minutes. If you love seeing your bus hit various curbs like a teenaged girl in her dad’s car, then this is the bus for you. Pedestrians have moved signs off sidewalks after seeing the bus driver drive for not even a full minute. Had the driver known how to go faster and the speed limit, the drivers could easily qualify for nascar, as all the driver knew how to do was go in circles, due to missing important exits, roads and stops. Also can we get a round of applause for not knowing the controls in the bus you’re operating? WOOT WOOT AMMIRIGHT!?!? Not only was our bus sitting for over an hour in 85+ degree temps, but we also stopped for an additional 45 minutes so our driver could figure out how to operate the power for the AC and lights in the bus. Driver ended up needing the driver for the other bus to show him how to turn on the central power. Even better yet, If you love the true New Yorker experience of jay walking and being let off the bus in the middle of the road because the driver can’t seem to park on the right side of the road, then all aboard the one stop crash express, final destination: probably the curb. Top comments of the evening were: “Do we need my dad to drive this” “What is the problem now” “Dad, mom can driver better” “Should this guy be driving this bus” “Oh my gosh… and that’s a bus we just hit” “Almost hit that barrel” “Oh look a pedestrian, almost hit them too” “I don’t think we are safe”
Positive experience: I have been on several one day trips with Wade. I have never had a problem with them. They are very pleasant and accommodating. In the past, my father has gone on 3 trips to Scotland with them and enjoyed all 3 of them. I'm planning on going on their Boothbay Harbor trip in July. And I like the fact that they are only minutes away from home. The only issue that I have is when I try to make any of my reservations online. The website doesn't seem to accept my password. Hopefully I will work it out soon.

We booked or thought we booked, the website gave us some trouble but thought we were good, checked a week before and something wasn't right, our tickets never went through, called up wade tours and they made magic happen last minute and we had the most wonderful fun day ever! Negative experience: This was a disappointment! The driver Jim was very nice. We were an hour late getting to the festival. He missed a few exits he was supposed to take so we had to back track. He hit some serious pot holes that made us all put our seatbelts on and one couple had to split up and change seats due to the ceiling water leaking from the rain. 9 hours on a bus to go to the seafood festival , which has gotten smaller since the last time I went, was not worth it.
Negative experience: Had a birthday trip for 4 of us to Yankees old-timers. The bus was to pick us up at 7:45, arrival at 11:30. Get a call from driver, bus broke down. They need to find another driver. He said up to an hour. Hour past, we called again. He said still looking for driver, another 30 minutes. After 2 hour past, we would have missed the old-timers festivities in full. If lucky game time. Almost everyone left for home. Now watching it on TV. Will follow up on Monday. A very lot of very upset people. I usually drive myself. I guess I learned my lesson. Will follow up with ,if any resolution.

Negative experience: I went on a school trip to a six flags an hour away from my school in these tour buses. One of them showed up 20 minutes late and with a broken door, the other bus showed up over an hour late. If you are looking for a tour bus company for a school trip do not use this company!
Negative experience: THEY DELETED ALL THE BAD REVIEWS. TWICE. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. My original review (before they deleted it): We had a school trip where their bus broke down 3 times, causing us to miss multiple events and frustration among all of us. We had a total of 3 buses, and one of the buses, even after being completely replaced, broke down 3 times total. This would not have happened if they were well maintained. We had to cram the bus that broke down onto the other 2 buses, causing many people to sit in the aisles for a 2-3 hour drive home. Please consider this before you make your purchase, and thank you for reading.
Negative experience: Horrible company. My school used three buses from Wade for a 4 day trip and one of the buses broke down three times during the trip, forcing us to cram everyone onto two buses (people were standing and sitting in the aisles) and move our luggage over to the other buses on the side of a busy and dangerous interstate. Other companies may be more expensive but with Wade you get what you pay for. On a positive note I did get more time to bond with my friends but this was at the expense of my sanity as I spent a total of 4 hours stuck on the side of highways.
Negative experience: Trashy bus. Broke down 3 times. Considering this was my last field trip ever since I’m a senior, I would say Wade tours single-handedly ruined it. Imagine expecting a restaurant after paying $600 for a trip and ending up in a Wawa on the side of a road in rural Pennsylvania cause your bus broke down. For TWO hours. This entire trip felt like an episode of a sitcom show where a character says things can’t possibly get worse while things do get worse. The bus also smelled like fish at one point?? On the plus side, I have never been closer to the music department of Shaker high school, literally (we sat 3 to a seat and on the floor).
Negative experience: Im a police offer and was on call for this bus. I had to drive the bus above 50mph or else it was going to explode! This is the result of poor maintenance, this pos bus was designed so poorly that it would explode going under 50 mph!!! Do you know how hard it is to swerve a bus in between highway lanes at 69mph with high school kids sitting on the floor?? THANKS WADE
Negative experience: Terrible experience for my sons band trip to Philadelphia and Hershey PA. Bus broke down repeatedly on trip south causing delays, detours, and missed itinerary. Another bus broke down coming home causing additional delays and inconveniences. No after hours customer service. No communication of plan to correct. Nothing short of receiving a full refund from these clowns would ever make me consider using their services again. Wade tours makes Southwest Airlines look like a portrait for good customer service. Absolute fail !

Negative experience: Oh boy, where do I even begin? My recent experience with Wade Tours was a rollercoaster of emotions, and I don't mean that in a good way. Let's first talk about the breakdowns, shall we? Our bus seemed to have a secret agenda to make the Guinness World Records for the most breakdowns on a four-day trip. I lost count after the second time we found ourselves stranded on the side of the road, contemplating life choices. It's safe to say that our journey was filled with more suspense than an episode of a thrilling TV series. Now, onto the seating arrangements. Remember playing Tetris as a kid? Well, imagine playing Tetris, but instead of blocks, you have human bodies. That's pretty much what we were doing throughout the entire trip. Three people per seat? Pfft, child's play! We took it to the next level by squeezing ourselves into the aisles and attempting to fit into the overhead compartments as well. It was like one of those intense yoga classes where you attempt to contort your body into impossible positions. Who needs personal space, right? But amidst the chaos and discomfort, there was one shining beacon of light, our bus driver, Ezekiel. This man deserves a medal for his unwavering positivity and sense of humor in the face of adversity. His comedic timing was so impeccable that I almost forgot about the fact that I couldn’t feel my rear end due to the cramped conditions. Ezekiel, you're a true champion! In conclusion, if you're looking for a thrill-packed adventure that tests your patience, endurance, and ability to squeeze into tight spaces, Wade Tours might just be the right fit for you. Just make sure you bring along your sense of humor, an extra-large dose of patience, and some snacks to keep you entertained during the unexpected pit stops. p.s. - do NOT ride bus three Happy travels, brave souls!

Negative experience: I sure hope Wade Tours steps up and does something for the Shaker High Music group that went to Philadelphia and Hersey park.. One of the buses broke down 3 times! Kids missed out on a Philadelphia market place lunch and instead ate at a Wawa Gas Station.. Missed out on a tour of the Eastern States Penitentiary.. Almost missed their music competition and now on the way home are forced to have 3 bus loads of kids and teachers etc on 2 buses.. First time an air brake issue on way to Philly, second time no start on way to competition and now it's overheating on the way home! Crazy!!
Fantastic experience: Loved every moment of this experience. We were on a trip to an amusement park and didn’t realize the thrills would start before we even arrived! Our buses broke down three times, and I haven’t felt such real danger since I fell into that alligator exhibit in Toranto. You know, I’m somewhat of a connoisseur of pain, and this is some top-notch stuff right here. We have people stuffed in the aisles, three to a seat, people shoved into the overhead compartments, it’s a real joy. The only reason there’s a carpet on the ceiling must be so that the bus is fine even if it flips over.
Negative experience: High school music department trip from New York to Pennsylvania. Bus broke on the way down causing the group to miss scheduled stops and forcing over capacity on two buses for at least a period of time. Day two, with replacement bus, engine won’t start - causing over capacity on two buses for at least a period of time. Fourth day, bus engine overheats causing three if not more hours of overcrowding on two buses to get the students home. Safety Maintenance Overall service
Negative experience: One bus broke down three times, and we have people in the aisles. Might have to drive 3 hours like this because the owners are in church.
Negative experience: I was part of a group that used Wade Tours for a 4 day trip. Out of the three buses, the same bus broke down several times. We have had to move from the broken bus and pack 3 buses full of people into just 2. We were asked to sit in the aisle and squeeze three people into each pair of seats. This happened twice on the side of the freeway. Extremely disappointed in this experience.

Negative experience: One of the buses, broke down, 3 TIMES. THEY LITERALLY GOT A REPLACEMENT BUS AND IT BROKE DOWN. I’m sure they “passed inspection”. Brakes broke on the first one, second time engine wouldn’t start, and the third the radiator coolant hose broke. Wasted so much time on my trip we missed many activities because of this. We have had to cram other buses onto our bus to accommodate this, and people are literally sitting on the floor.

Fantastic experience: The Rochester Ski Club used Wade Tours to drive us to Sunday River ski resort. Joe was an excellent driver and we always felt safe and secure with him driving for us. On the way home we had Lisa part way home and she was a great driver also.

Negative experience: Today I had a Wade Tour bus pass me on the highway and literally run me out of my lane. I beeped my horn just to let him know I was there and he made eye contact in his side mirror and proceeded to continue moving over into my lane. I had to slam my brakes to avoid being hit or driving into the median. I was in the passing lane. Would NEVER recommend this service. How dangerous!! I wish there was a way to leave a complain or "how's my driving" on their website. Bus plate number was 18434-PF. Bad driver!!!
Fantastic experience: Before the bus leaves from anywhere, the guide counts heads. They really do care about their travelers. The drivers and hostess/ guides are always friendly and helpful.
Negative experience: Horrible experience that ruined the end of my wedding. We had arranged for two buses to pick up guests, each half an hour apart. This was detailed in email communication between my mother and an employee at Wade tours, though Wade tours vehemently denies (I have screenshots). The day of the wedding, both my husband and I tried calling Wade tours to confirm details, but nobody picked up. At the end of the wedding, when my husband tried connecting to the emergency dispatcher to figure out where the second bus was, the dispatcher stated "Well I can see that the bus arrived, so I don't know what to tell you," (There was no second bus). The dispatcher gave him a hard time about giving him the driver's phone number. Once my husband eventually got the number, the driver's voice mailbox was full, so there was no way to contact them. When my husband attempted calling the emergency dispatcher, they would not pick up the phone. My husband and most of the bridal party missed 90 minutes of our 2 hour after party. We had to pay an exorbitant fee on taxis and ubers to get everyone to the after party, as our venue was a good fifteen minute drive away from the after party, in a very remote area. By the time the bridal party arrived at the after party, I spoke with people who had taken the first bus (which turned out to be the only bus). One of my guests told me that the bus driver was incredibly rude, said "I'm leaving now and not waiting for anyone," and made everyone uncomfortable. I felt a great sense of shame and embarrassment for employing a company that would make my guests uncomfortable in any way. Wade tours has been notified of this incident and attempted to put the blame on us. They have not apologized, or made any effort to reimburse us. Note, we paid for two pick ups and two drop offs. If I could give zero stars, I would. All in all, if you are planning a wedding or large event, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, there is zero communication, internal organization, or efforts to preserve customer satisfaction. Look elsewhere, instead.
Negative experience: I'm part of an organization that charted Wade Tour for a trip to Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut. And sadly, the cons far out way the pros. Pros: The drivers were relatively friendly and professional. Cons: 1) The bus was late for pick up. 2) The seats were threadbare and not very comfortable. 3) The DVD player advertised on the website was outdated and didn't work. It would randomly turn on and off when the bus would turn. 4) The back half of the bus smelled like diesel. 5) Some of the overhead compartments wouldn't stay closed. Making it slightly dangerous to walk down the aisle if you weren't watching where you were going. 6) I will admit that the entrance to the bus parking at Mystic Aquarium is pretty narrow. But the bus driver took too wide of a turn and ended up striking a sign on the opposite side of the road. This resulted in damage to both the sign and the bus itself. The sign was bent and the bus had a scratched up door, and a broken side mirror. 7) There was no disability access. The stairs are quite steep and relatively narrow. Which would make it virtually impossible for someone with mobility issues to board. I would not advise using Wade Tours especially if you are someone who is disabled or work with someone who is.
Fantastic experience: Our driver “the judge” was fantastic! He assisted every person both on & off the bus. He made the trip to Queechy, VT very special with his professionalism & great personality. We hope see him behind the wheel on future trips! Thank Wade & Kevin .

Negative experience: Did not travel with this company. Was driving along I-88 in Oneonta on Monday evening when one of your tour buses almost ran me off the road. They cut into my lane like they were driving their personal vehicle. The bus kept driving like nothing happened.
Negative experience: Bus Driver Had Gotten Upset Over Teenagers Saying The Bus Was Stinky And Didn’t Take Them To The Last Two Places They Were Supposed To Go Before Their Trip Ended. Ended Up Flying Out Early Because Of Bus Driver.

Fantastic experience: My granddaughter is a student at Ithaca College and on the women's track and field team. The team went to Bethlehem PA for a track meet overnight and used a Wade Tours bus. They stopped at a Wegman's in Scranton PA and ate on the bus. My granddaughter accidently left her wallet in the Wegman's bag that the sub came in and threw it in the garbage. She was frantic at the end of the trip and she couldn't find her wallet. After several calls to Wade Tours, the maintenance man, Bill, said he will have the cleaning crew look through the garbage Monday morning. They found it and her wallet was shipped USPS immediately. She received the wallet and everything was in it! What a great service they provided to the Ithaca College track team! Kudos to Bill at Wade Tours!

Fantastic experience: We at Premiere Transportation relied on Wade Tour to help us out with a large corporate movement in the month of November handled over 900 people. We could not support the whole move ourselves and they were incredible helping us out this an additional 7-8 motor coaches a day. Their driving staff was very professional and on time. They were very courteous in assisting the passengers to pick up and drop off locations. The buses were late model and very clean. Most importantly the administrative staff was very good at handling the last minute changes that were thrown at us. Will use them for future movements.
Negative experience: I would not feel safe on a bus where the Vermont covid requirements of masks required on transit and maximum 50% capacity are not adhered to.
Negative experience: Wade Tours carried a busload of people during the middle of a pandemic over state lines. They clearly were not following the protocol set out by the state of Vermont. They are not responsible for the actions of their riders once they get off the bus, but they are responsible as a bus company to follow the regulations of half capacity. They are endangering the public with reckless behavior.

Negative experience: Sold me a trip to go to a Christmas show and Tree lighting at Rockefeller center. Did not inform us that the tree lighting was at 9:30pm the Same time we were supposed to be back heading to the bus for pickup. As a result of the tree lighting you were unable to access any of the surrounding area of Rockefeller center and we had to wander around for 5 hours without being able to shop any of the stores we wanted to go to (Nintendo store/ LEGO store) all in the Rockefeller center. Fences and barricades forced us into a rat maze of endless lines just trying to get away from the madness. When I called to speak to a representative at Wade they told me they weren’t available and that they would call me back and I haven’t received a phone call. Terrible customer service, sold me a trip they couldn’t deliver and the bus was too small with absolutely no room for a normal sized slim person. Avoid this bus tour company and go for yankee trails. I’m Still waiting on that phone call Wade!!

They arrived early so we didn't have to stand out in the rain and they themselves stayed in the rain to help everyone with our luggage. Negative experience: I would not recommend going by bus if you are an obese person. You might be able to handle a two hour ride but beyond that it gets pretty uncomfortable. The seats are just too small for us plus size people. It is torturous to be stuck in a crunched position for so many hours. I found if they try to fit in too many things in the itinerary something always gets left out because it’s too tight of a schedule. I’ve taken Wade Tours before and it has happened each time to me in the past. And to be honest, it’s so disappointing. We went to a very nice restaurant that also had a gorgeous store downstairs but there wasn’t enough time to eat and shop. I went into the store, and it was huge. I afraid of being late for our bus. I never got to buy a thing. Another disappointment. And I couldn’t believe the movie we watched. The host asked everyone if it was okay and I wasn’t going to say no even though I it was not anything I would choose. She said all their movies were really old. WOW, was she right or what?? It was On Golden Pond !! Anyway, nothing was exceptional about Wade Bus Tours, or their staff. It was a job that just got done. Nothing more.

Negative experience: This tour bus was hired by Diamond Tours. Took this bus to Niagra Falls. (from Newark, NJ) The bus is a little outdated. This is not the bus to take for longer rides over 2 hrs. Some of the seats were broken as far as reclining positions. The first bus driver we had was Jim who was very friendly and knowledgeable of the Niagra Falls area. I don't know why it took us 9 hrs. to arrive at our destination (google directions 6 hrs +). We did make 3 rest stops (30 minutes intervals and we did stop for a buffet lunch (60 min). Customs maybe 40 minutes at best. 9 hrs. is a bit much. Upon returning to jersey was just as bad 12 hrs. Why Although we had to change drivers in Albany, don't know the story behind that, but that second driver did not even introduced himself to our group. Just got on the bus and drove. Upon reaching our destination in Newark, the driver did not even turn on the interior lights so we could gather out belongs. I will never ever hire this tour company again. Thanks Jim it was a pleasure riding with you. Wade Tour Bus update your seats for longer trips.
Negative experience: On bus trip to Yankee stadium now. Bus is definitely not as good as Yankee Trails. My seat has no outlet to plug in my cell phone, no tray for food, no cup holders, and only 3 tv screens for the whole bus. Other than that it's ok. Ok it is now 6:26 pm... The game got over at 5:05, at 5:27 bus driver said everyone was back and left. At 5:49 he was alerted he left 2 people behind and had to come back and get them. Never go the Wade tour way

Negative experience: This is the worst bus company on the road the girls at the office are rude and. Liars been trying for 14 days to get a refund they are always busy and will get back to you and never do don't try to cancel or they will pocket all your money spent 140.00 for a trip and a day later had to cancel do to business issue and they only gave me 60.00 they pocketed 80.00 for doing nothing that's ridiculous that's a way to get business back not this girl or anyone I know that's for sure I wish I could give a big fat zero cuz that's what they are
