Positive experience: People don't really seem friendly at all.

Negative experience: I have had aaa for the 20 years usually do not have many issues. Was rear ended at red light on july 21, 24. I called made a claim, I was told to contact my claims adjuster when i decided what shop to use for repairs. I have called 3 times in 3 weeks and left messages, with no response from Mr. Passmore at all. I had to finally call main office. They supposedly sent him email to call and still no response. Finally main office sent paperwork, so I can actually get the car fixed. I still don't know about if other ins will pay for rental because adjuster has never bothered to respond. Such a joke! you want my money for house and vehicle on time. I would like the same consideration to get my car fixed.

Negative experience: Scott had an attitude the entire time while trying to get my international permit. He displayed a rude demeanor, and was very snarky. I did come in 10 mins before closing time, but i did call ahead to make sure it was ok. He came off as very condescending and possibly racist. Smh. I do NOT recommend this place for AAA customers.

Negative experience: Strong recommendation that you use any other office in the Macomb county area if you can. Personally the experience I had here led me to cancel my membership entirely. The staff here are incompetent, rude and seem to make up their own rules. I don’t trust them to provide the service they are supposed to and I encourage you to reconsider before signing up with this branch. Worst customer service I have ever experienced!

Fantastic experience: Mike Smith is an outstanding agent you could ask for. Takes the time to get to know you while also helping you get the most out of your coverage. Mike has been my agent for over 10 years now and will continue with AAA because he is the best.

Negative experience: Horrible. I had a unexpected death in my family and personally paid to keep the insurance. Now they won't refund my money. I have a check made payable to my deceased son that I cant cash and they refuse to issue it in my name. They are taking advantage of a tragedy and a disabled senior citizen. Horrible

Negative experience: Opened a CD 3 weeks ago under the belief that AAA was a "bank" as they advertise. They would not give me the CD...stated it would be mailed to me. Three weeks later and still no CD. The agent lied to me and never disclosed that the CD would be initiated in Florida! He told me the agent in Florida tried to contact me but my caller ID indicated that no one from Florida called. I called the phone number in Florida and my call was never returned. AAA Michigan is a totally unreliable organization and you should never do business with them. I will need to seek legal counsel to get my money back.

I have health insurance, I don't want unlimited benefits, I think they want you to pay the higher rates Update: I didn't know that you had to go into the office to submit paperwork. I was mailing mine in...I did go in and it was taking care if right away. Thanks, AAA for your assistance!

Positive experience: July 1,2021 between 1:45 and 2pm I walk in to this AAA office excited about planning my trip to Europe waiting for my turn to speak to someone. I have met some great, helpful people working at this location and I will continue to come here and recommend others to do the same. The receptionist / greeter may need to be trained or replaced. She was away from the front desk speaking to another agent about an issue, and it was the way she spoke to that lady agent that just change my whole mood about being in there. I was upset at the receptionist for her rude display to another agent in front of customers and I was embarrassed for the agent to be spoken to as an unruly child in front of others. I believe it was a blessing that a couple was in front of me so that I was taken care of by the agent, that was in my eyes disrespected. I wish I could remember her name she was working at station 2 or 3. She was sweet as pie helpful and most important she kept her cool and handled business. She (the agent) is one that knows how to conduct herself in public or she has one hell of a poker face. It's not always the customers that are unruly.

Negative experience: I was very disappointed. I tried to make an appointment to book a domestic flight and was told I had to call the 800 number. I booked with someone else because I wanted to speak with someone in person. I'm seriously considering not renewing my membership.

Negative experience: I've called and called this agency and no response. I want a new agent, this agent do not deserve commissions for my policy renewal. No one have attempted to return a call. Very unprofessional.

Positive experience: Car insurance (and most other insurance ) is ridiculously overpriced (especially in MI) but this place at least has friendly people and a clean building. Joe has been very patient and friendly through my insurance panic. (Thank you Joe!) If I could seperate the ratings I would give the customer service five stars and the cost for product one star (though that is not necessarily AAA's fault)

Fantastic experience: I came in to get an international driver’s permit. I am very surprised on how modern and clean this office is. Service is excellent! As I waited for my turn the receptionist came to my chair twice to apologize for my long wait-which wasn’t long at all-. I was offered coffee, and when my turn came the service was above par! The gentleman who took care of me was very professional and knowledgeable and helpful. Very very pleased with this interaction.

Negative experience: This place is a joke. I have called here 2 days in a row to get a homeowners insurance quote. I have spent 20 mins on hold, left a message for a callback and still have not talked to a human. Don't waste your time, I'm done.
