Fantastic experience: Rented 2 single inflatable kayaks for a half day. They helped load and secure, and then unload when we arrived. Very helpful. Kayaks and paddles were in good condition, life preservers too. Convenient location and they helped us decide where best to go. We enjoyed the whole experience!

Fantastic experience: This place is awesome. I was very new to all this and wasn't sure what to rent, how to get it on my car and where to go. I called them and they were super helpful and knowledge and made it so easy. They were also very flexible on timing for pickup and dropoff. We had a terrific time with our paddle boards and kayak on Long Lake - I highly recommend renting from this company!

Fantastic experience: We had a big group of e-bike riders in Crested Butte. Wheelies and Waves were great to work with! They got us all checked in, fitted for our bikes and took excellent care of us. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: My girl friends and I rented two paddleboards for a day on Lake Irwin. Wheelies and Waves made the whole process so easy and seamless. They loaded the boards onto our car and showed us how to easily strap them ourselves so we can do it after being the on the lake. They even inflated and deflated our friend's paddleboard that we had with us which was so nice and helpful! The paddleboards were sturdy and big; we were easily able to share and fit 2 people on one board. Lake Irwin was BEAUTIFUL. Definitely recommend renting paddleboards from Wheelies and Waves when you're in CB!

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience on Thursday! Walked up last minute and they were able to accommodate us. 2 paddle boards, single kayak, and tandem kayak. All were excellent and in great shape. Customer service was great! Prices were very reasonable. Would definitely use them again!

Fantastic experience: We had a blast floating the slate river with Wheelies and Waves rentals! They were very easy to work with, loaded the boards on my van for me, and showed us on a map where the put in and take out were. Great company and beautiful day on the river!

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience renting from wheelies and waves! We walked up (no reservation) and were able to get a tandem kayak right away. The paperwork was easy breezy and we were out the door ready to paddle in about 5 min. Staff was incredibly helpful and personable. A four hour rental was plenty to paddle and float around Lake Irwin (incredible views as well!). Overall a great experience and I'd recommend them to anyone visiting the area and wanting to get out on the water!

Fantastic experience: We rented bikes from Wheelies and Waves and had a wonderful time! in 4 hours we were able to go allover the mountain - up Gothic and Prospect Ads - views are spectacular! Then went out of town past the market and found a road on the cliff above town! Awesome! Great bikes!

Fantastic experience: It was our first time in Crested Butte and floating the Slate River was spectacular! Riley helped us pick out the perfect float option for our family and when rain changed our evening float plans, Wheelie and Waves helped us pivot to a different plan that fit into our schedule. Riley and Sean met us as soon as they opened and quickly got us loaded up and shared all of their helpful tips for a successful trip. This is a MUST DO adventure in Crested Butte!

Fantastic experience: We rented E-bikes for the day and had the BEST time! Took the bikes out to RMBL and further along Gothic Road. The helmets and bike locks were clutch to bike the dirt roads and tie the bikes up while we went on a hike. The batteries lasted all day and the bikes were in perfect condition. Highly recommend to rent these and explore the surrounding area! Also, the customer service was top notch - fast, friendly , and imformative.

They have a great system for getting boards, kayaks, etc. on all vehicles and are super helpful, friendly & efficient during pick-up & drop-off. The paddle boards I rented were so stable that I--an inexperienced paddle boarder--was able to paddle around with my big dog!

Fantastic experience: Rented a few tubes to float down the Slate River yesterday afternoon. We had a wonderful time! I proposed to my girlfriend on Friday, and when we dropped the tubes off this morning the wonderful woman we worked with gave us a bottle of champagne as a congratulatory gift! Fantastic experience: For our company retreat, we wanted to take advantage of the Crested Butte summer weather and do some adventuring! Wheelies and Waves was the place to go! Kay was awesome in helping us get geared up for the Slate River. We rented kayaks and SUPs for a magical ride down the Slate river with panoramic views of CB! The Wheelies and Waves team was super helpful, dropping pins in our phone on where to input and output of the river, and strapping our gear on top of our cars with ease! We had such an awesome day and seeing CB via water is a must! Would highly recommend!
