Negative experience: This is the third time I've taken my 2014 truck to them and it will be the last! When you tell me that I bring my vehicle in the day before and we will get it done first thing the next morning, I expect that to happen. This is the third time that the car is "just getting in the door"...at 2:30pm! What do you expect from people when you can't meet your commitments. Good luck with your future!

Negative experience: Been going there for a while for simplistic stuff, oil change and inspections. About a year ago I arrange to have my car tire looked at because it losing about 5lbs a week. I dropped off and asked they look at the tire for a nail and add air. Picked up the next day and I assumed they found an issue, 3 days later it’s still losing air I take it back and asked did they find anything and he stated we just put air in it, did you check for a nail? NO! Can’t make this up! This last time 8/25 I drop off and said specifically change the front brake pads, because they recommended it 6 months ago so decided to do it as well as an early oil change. I pick it up 8/26 and it’s $89. I said what about the brake pads, he said oh they are good? What…huh? I was lucky enough without evennnnnn asking they inspected it, 5 months early? Never asked them to do that! Save yourself and just go somewhere else. Incompetent.

Fantastic experience: My battery kept dying, and my mechanic of 42 years had retired. It is an AAA battery. So, the AAA associate that got my car started twice told me to bring it here. They found the problem and fixed it. Two mechanics missed it.

Negative experience: If I could go into the negative with this rating I would. Most incompetent staff I have ever seen. One of their drivers was in my neighborhood performing a service for someone else and managed to crash into my PARKED car. Incredible that their professional drivers can slam into a stationary object. Both the local and corporate offices have been dodging me all week and refuse to provide any information on how they are planning to remedy the situation. Absolutely atrocious business practices and lack of integrity. Avoid at all costs if you value your property.

Negative experience: This has more to do with the roadside assistance. It is the most awful place to deal with. We broke down at 12 and we were informed that someone would be here between now and 4 pm. Then we called back to see where we were time wise and was told it would now be 4:45 pm. This is unacceptable. This is not the only time we broke down a few years ago in South Carolina and no one came to help. It was 2 ladies and 2 children stranded on the side of 95 for over 3 hours. When someone that works on our car got home and video chatted with us and walked us through it to let us get somewhere safe because AAA did not care enough. I will be dropping this and finding someone who will actually help. AAA you should be ashamed of yourself although I know you could care less.

Fantastic experience: We have used this auto repair shop numerous times. We’ve always been pleased. They are prompt and they work Saturdays. I appreciate being able to drop my car off after work and pick it up the next day. They give discounts for AAA members.

Negative experience: I dropped my car off two times to deal with a pulsating brake issue. Each time they told me there was nothing wrong and even called out that I didn’t have a warped rotor, unprompted. Then they told me that there was no pulsing even though I felt it. I took it back and was told they greased a pin and they didn’t feel a pulse. I drove it for a couple of weeks, because they told me everything was fine, only for the pulse to get worse. I then took it to Roy Hendrick’s Muffler shop on Hull St and they pointed out that my rotor was in fact warped and that the pulsing was clearly happening. They told me to take it back to Triple A because the rotor and pads should be under warranty. Triple A thought otherwise and will not honor the warranty on the warped rotor. Even though it only warped because they kept telling me nothing was wrong. They only admitted there was an issue when I had another shop take a look and point out their mistake. If I hadn’t brought the car in twice before, and had to wait days to get it back, this wouldn’t be an issue. They could have seen what the error was and avoided the warping. I tried to take preventative measures by going to them and their lack of care allowed my issue to worsen. Finally, when I dropped the car off the first time they mentioned not wanting to deal with the warranty. I should have insisted at that point to look further into my problem. They clearly knew I had an issue and didn’t want to honor the warranty or do any actual work to fix the car. I’m not even convinced they looked at my car in the first place. They simply did not care about my issue and even gave me a bogus corporate number to complain to.

Negative experience: I dropped my car of on Thursday afternoon for an inspection. (My daughter needed the vehicle to drive home to Northern Virginia on Monday.) When I didn't hear from them on Friday or Saturday - and they wouldn't answer the phone Monday morning - my husband drove me up to check on it. When I checked in at the counter Noah (I think that is his name) looked it up in the computer and said, "it's closed out so it's ready". I asked him why it still had an outdated sticker on the window. He checked in the back and then told me "they forget to change the sticker". They pulled the car into a bay and I could see it go up on the lift. Noah returned to the counter and said "you don't owe me anything - it was not inspected." I was so upset. He just handed me the keys and considered it over. I went outside and then returned to the counter and said, can't you get it inspected before 2:00 today? He said no - we have all these cars in front of you. I asked - did all of these cars arrive before Thursday? He said "I don't know." I told him - "someone made a mistake somewhere - and you are making no attempt to make this right." NO RESPONSE. We have been taking our vehicles to AAA for several years. This was our last visit. AAA does not care about customer service. UPDATE: The "Owner Response" is the same on all reviews. It was already stated that we have been customers there for years. Our name is published. If this "Owner" was truly interested in making anything right - they have the information available to contact us. NOT PUBLISH FOR US TO CONTACT THEM!

Negative experience: Had my car towed in on a Saturday morning for a repair in the Monday came I called they said they looked at the car I came Tuesday the car was never looked at then they said it couldn't be worked because someone worked on it before . A hose was installed . So they couldn't work on it.

Fantastic experience: I went in without an appointment because I had a branch stuck under the car that was dragging on the ground and that I had been unable to remove. They took care of the problem quickly and didn’t even charge me. Staff was very professional.

Negative experience: 1 star for repair shop and their bad customer service. We brought the vehicle on Tuesday early morning to get the state inspection done. We were promised that it will be complete by the EOD Wednesday. On Wednesday at 4:30pm I called to check on the status only to learn that the car is still "in the queue" and will not be ready as promised. Since we needed the car wednesday evening, I've asked to pick it up for the evening and return next day first thing in the morning, but was told that our waiting time will reset and we will have to wait again. The manager "Alex" thinks "it's not fair for the other customers" dismissing the fact that they already broke their promise and nobody would be working on the car during the night. We've been using this location for several years but I cannot recommend it anymore.

Negative experience: Useless warranties. Complete front brake job done. 9 months later need another complete brake job. But the funny thing is something went wrong with another part and voided my warranty. But if I spend over 3k they'll as a courtesy honor the warranty. Sorry I can only afford to spend 1700 now I'll get new tires next month. Kids just went back to school gotta watch the budget. Sorry since you're not doing everything screw you.

Negative experience: I don't know who is in charge of the auto repair department but someone certainly needs to review the policy on customer service and accountability. I tried a few times to have my car brakes checked. I called the Swift Creek location on Hull Street and spoke with Noah who made an appt for me the following morning. When I arrived, there was no record of my appt. Apparently, Noah never wrote anything down. They were too busy to help me . Next time, I called the location and spoke with a lady who made an appt for me a couple of days later at noon. She sent me a text for confirmation. However, when I arrived at the Hull Street location, again there was no record of my appt. I showed the text confirmation to the man behind the counter. He said, it was a central scheduling center that I spoke to and they never forwarded the appt to him. He further said all the mechanics take lunch from 12-1 so the lady should not have scheduled anything. He said they were booked solid but I was welcome to drop off my car just in case they could squeeze it in...but not likely. I said no thanks and left. I will not step foot in that building again. No way. Very unprofessional and incompetent staff.

Negative experience: My son had his car towed here. They found it out of oil. They inspected the engine ($500), and proceeded to do $1200 more work. When finished, they said that they couldnt fix the engine oil leak...only Honda could. We spend $1771 and the car doesnt run any better than when we took it in. Yes, we feel like we were ripped off. Sorry that its a AAA place, they are usually trustworthy.

Negative experience: I should have heeded the early signs as two separate oil changes the tires were not rotated, even though we specifically requested them to be. My last oil change they crimped the filter, it had little holes in it from being wrenched when it should never be wrenched, only hand tightened and the slow leak became a major leak and covered the entire undercarriage of my car. I am grateful and they are lucky I was not travelling long distance. It has taken me a long 4 months and many phone calls to get rembursed for the oil change and supplies and still they only reimbursed me half. I will never return and will be sure nobody I know and care for seeks car care here. Dangerous decision.

Negative experience: Took four hours to diagnose a starter issue(when that was the obvious place to start for a car that wasn't starting properly) so it had to stay over the weekend. Arrived at the shop at 3:45 pm on Monday to be told that it should be ready Tuesday morning. They've had this car for over 12 hours while open for business. The attitude I got was that my frustrations were an annoyance to them. Once I'm sure this repair is done properly (of which I have serious doubts at the moment) I will avoid this place like the plague. I'd give them no stars if I could. Update - The shop reached out to me and we had a very honest and open discussion. A lack of communication was identified from thier end, and I discovered that there were issues beyond thier control at play as well. Not a perfect experience, but outstanding follow up.

Fantastic experience: We have a membership with AAA so I went to the Harbor Pointe, Hull Street Road location to drop off my 2017 Taurus for inspection. I was greeted and waited on promptly. I was told it may take a couple of days for the inspection as it was the last day of the month. The afternoon of the next day it was ready for pickup. It passed and nothing had to be repaired, however, they did let me know there were 2 things that needed to be addressed and did I want them to take care of them. I declined as I like to repair the things I am able to do. They were understanding and polite about everything, I paid the $20 inspection, and left. This was a good experience and I recommend this location.

Negative experience: I have been going here for several years on multiple vehicles for my state inspections, very reliable. I am always advised to leave my car overnight(which is fine since I’m working at home) and I do. However for simple state inspections, I do understand that there is little to no revenue generated since it’s less than $25 and take 30-40 minutes, but i should not have to have my vehicle dropped on Wednesday and picked up on a Monday.

Negative experience: The car care portion of this AAA has proven to be unreliable and untrustworthy. Our most recent issue was over our car battery. AAA roadside assistance jumped our car after being stranded with a 4 year old AAA battery (not a light or accessory issue). The friendly roadside service tech recommended we bring the battery in to be charged (a free service by AAA) at the Swift Creek location as they installed this battery in 2018. We did so and were asked if we wanted to have an oil change done while the car was in the shop as an annoying up sell, but one that seemed convenient so we agreed to it. BIG MISTAKE. When we came to pick the car up they gave us a rundown on the successful oil change and several other additional upcharge services they could offer us based on their multi-point inspection (fluid changes, tire rotations, tire balance, etc…). We expressed that we were not interested and asked about the battery recharge, the PRIMARY reason for bringing the car in that day. They stuttered around a bit and said the battery was checked in the multi-point inspection and was “fine”, no free recharge was performed. So we took the car home a bit irritated, but assuming all was fine with a 4 year old AAA battery… It was not!! The battery stranded my wife 4 separate times over the following week and we finally decided to cut our losses and replace with a Costco battery. The car is now running great again. This was not the first time an upsell had distracted this staff from doing the right thing. The car care seems profit-driven and reliability bankrupt. This absolute last car care issue I will trust the AAA Swift Creek staff with.

Positive experience: Went to talk to insurance person to update credit card info as suggested by the person on-line. Unfortunately, there was no insurance person working there that day. The young man who greets people and directs us to the right places was friendly and efficient. Just bummed that the whole reason I went there was not taken care of.

Negative experience: Worst experience. We took our vehicle in for an engine light, air conditioning, and to fix the motor in the window. Picked up the vehicle and they said there is a “gap” between the window and door panel which was “there when it was dropped off”. I left and told my husband. My husband said it was completely inaccurate and there was no damage to the door panel prior to being worked on. Then the engine light came on again! So we took it back and told them the door/window was NOT in that condition and that the light came on again. They said “it’s our word against yours” and that it’s an entire piece that was “lost” by US! How could we just lose the whole piece that goes between the door panel and window?! And then they said the engine light it for a different issue! They charged us an additional $110.99 after spending several thousand previously just to tell us it was a different issue! (Which I don’t believe). I’m so disappointed. I’ve been a AAA member since I was able to drive, along with my entire family. I thought I could trust AAA. OH! And I got in the car just now and they didn’t even both to put down paper in the floorboard. There is grease all over the carpet! Add another $100 to what I have to pay to have it detailed.

Positive experience: A bit of confusion about state inspection and oil change, but I got them done. Inspection revealed loose bolts on steering column from previous work done at another business. This is the second time AAA identified an issue that a dealership did not do a good job on.

Negative experience: Update: I recently had a frustrating experience at this vehicle repair shop that I feel compelled to share. I took my car in for routine maintenance, expecting a quick turnaround, but it ended up taking much longer than anticipated. When I called to inquire about the delay, one of the technicians responded with a sarcastic tone, which was off-putting. Deciding to address my concerns in person, I visited the shop to speak with the manager. Unfortunately, he was unhelpful and didn’t provide the assistance I was hoping for. This experience was a stark contrast to my previous visits when the service was much better. Given this recent encounter, I cannot recommend this location while the current management is in place. I've since decided to move my vehicle maintenance to another shop, where I've received much better service. Original review: The car care center has provided excellent service to my families vehicles over the last year. They have been prompt and friendly the entire time as well.

Negative experience: Please DO NOT take your vehicle to this place! If I could give this god awful so called mechanic shop zero stars I would! The service here absolutely stinks! First of all, I dropped my car off at AAA on a Sunday night to be inspected on Monday morning. I was told that if I did then I would be first in line for inspection on Monday morning. The place opened at 7:30am, I called to check on my car at 9:15 am, my car had not even been looked at. By 11:40 am they called and said that they had inspected my car and the only thing that did not pass inspection was my front turn signal light which needed to be replaced. I told them to go on and replace it. I called them back at 3pm and was told that when they replaced the signal light, it still wasn't working so they needed to check to see if there was some electrical issue with my car. I called again on Tuesday morning at about 10:45am, they still didn't know what was wrong with the signal light. I called again on Wednesday morning at about 8am, still they said they didn't know what was wrong with the signal light. So I went to the shop and picked my car up at approximately 9:15am. I called AAA Swiftcreek to complain at about 11:20am in regards to the lousy service that I had received from them due to them having my car in their possession for almost 3 days with absolutely no solution for my car and only one phone call to update me on their progress. When I called, the guy in charge of fixing my car's "electrical problem" had a bad attitude, telling me it was my fault for picking up my car too early, not giving him enough time to fix it! He also said that I should be happy he didn't charge me for diagnostic! I was shocked and appalled at his horrible attitude! So I decided to go to their competitor a couple miles down Hull Street. Their competitor diagnosed, fixed and inspected my car in less than 2 hours! Not only that, there was absolutely nothing wrong with my turn signal! Only the parking light needed replacing. I have been a long time patron of AAA. However, after this horrifying experience, I will NEVER trust them with my vehicle again! And I highly suggest you don't either!

Negative experience: FYI AAA auto repair on Hull Street are scammers. They rejected the inspect on my car stating it need an inner control arm, the ball joint wasn’t put back in correctly ( it was never taken out of the car) and needed rear breaks and a bulb. Then stated they wanted $980.00 to do the work. Stupid Not stupid. Then they told me the car wasn’t safe to drive. I took it right home told them I’ll take my chances. Took it to another mechanic and they couldn’t find anything wrong. Except the $3.00 bulb.

Negative experience: Nope. Dropped my car off the night before. On the tiny blank envelope provided by their night drop box, I wrote instructions to do a state inspection and oil change & included 2 phone numbers. I called at 2pm the next day and was told they "tried to call me" once that morning. They didn't leave a message, never tried the other number, they never called again. I was told they couldn't do the inspection and oil change that afternoon (although they close at 6pm). The sleepy-sounding counter guy never even offered to just do the inspection. When I stopped by 30 minutes later (2:30pm) to get my keys, there were 2 cars in their 8 bay shop. 6 bays were empty. Apparently, they don't need my business. I suggest they don't need yours either!

Negative experience: Took my car there for 2 minor things. Was told when I dropped the car off that it would be ready the next day. Had to call twice the next day only to be told it was next in line. Called the following day and was told they were bringing it back in. I had to tell them 3 different times why it was there. 3 days later I was told it was ready to pick up. Went to pick up and they had decided I didn't need what I had dropped the car off 3 days prior. I or anybody I know will be going back there. Customer service is nonexistent and overall knowledge is lackluster at best.

Positive experience: Just had an oil change. This is the 2nd time this has happened though. The oil change is good for 5000 miles, however, the reminder tag in the car had it expiring at 4000 miles. This should have not been hard math as the mileage was at 80,000. Accident, or a way to get you back in earlier? As usual they found some "suggestions" for other service. My car was inspected (and passed) in August.

Negative experience: Smh... Had a nail in my tire from the grocery store parking lot. I'm a AAA member (with the higher end membership). Explain to me why, after stopping here, I'm at Discount tire getting the nail removed??!! AAA wanted $29.95 to pull a nail and patch it. Discount tire was complimentary and I didnt even buy the tires from them!! Shame on AAA!!!

Negative experience: I went in at 12:23 and got out at 6:30. I came in for a simple Battery and a Oil Change. It took them 6 HOURS. They through off my Gas and Temperature Gauges and didn't know how to reset them. At first they said that they was not working. Then they ask me to bring my car back another day So they can try to fix the problem. I'm taking my car to Lexus and bring aaa the BILL. They don't know what they are doing....

Negative experience: Since my last review I talked to Brent via phone he advised me that he will not be responsible for work that was warranted. Now this work if done would allow the car to pass Inspection. I then emailed Dak and Brent to simply put this in writing so far I have not received a response. I then emailed Shawn to either acknowledge that they are refusing to honor the warranty or refund the money as I requested in the email . Or at least sign it to say that his bosses are refusing to sign the email I received no response. Mind you that these emails were sent over the course of this month with no response. I then went to aaa and spoke with Shawn he told me that they were told not to sign by Dax . Now again all they were ask to sign and acknowledge was what Brent already said. When asked to contact Dax I was told no because he was vacation however was also told that if they needed a final response or emergency response they would be able to get a hold of him . You would think this would be an emergency. Now in that same breath was told the best way to get a hold of Dax would be email and that he would normally respond quickly. Well that's a lie too because I'm still waiting. In the meantime the car has not been fixed and the owner and I refuse to pick it up until we get what we asked for . This place has no accountability or responsibility. They over charge and they insult the intelligence of their customer which is disrespectful. Please do not deal with AAA any of them .
Negative experience: they took too long to fix my car 10 hours just to fix rear breaking system smh and still charged me over 500 bucks

Negative experience: Brought wife's car for service since check engine light was blinking and car was riding rough. They charged $1200 to "fix" the problem. The next day the check engine light came back on. Brought the car back in, and they said the "computer was bad" and said to junk the car. We took the car to Axselle Auto Repair in Lakeside and they found a clogged fuel line, which was the cause of the rough ride and the check engine light. Car is running perfectly now. Don't ever go to this AAA service center for anything more complex than an oil change. They are either crooked or incompetent.

Negative experience: Moved this side of 288 and joined aaa for Christmas so thought I'd try em out. Quoted 1350$ in repairs, went to old shop and they got it done for 110. Not rich enough for this shop

Negative experience: I will never ever ever recommend AAA Auto Car to anyone!! I had my car towed there on Friday after it would not start. I called on Saturday morning and spoke with Greg about my issues. He told me that after diagnosing the problem. I would need a mass air and battery - total $710 with labor. After replacing everything and they took it for a test drive, the car would not start again and they had to towed it back to the center. I spoke with Reggie after they towed it back and he told me that he would call me back, he never did and they closed at 5pm. After having my car for 3 days and having to call in another technician from another company to help solve the problem. They told me my car was ready to go. It has stop working again. The worse Auto Center ever!! I will definitely be reporting them to the highest person I can talk too!

Negative experience: These guys were the best on price and service. But recently they’re cutting corners. It doing what I’ve asked. And here’s a perfect example. “Your cabin air filters are clogged on your wife’s Honda.” Then replace one of two filters. My opinion is the work load and constant switching of people has been bad for the customers experience. Sorry but some things need to change.

Negative experience: I only put one star because there was no option of 0 stars. I went to the car care center on Saturday to schedule oil change/state inspection on Monday @ 11:00 am. Dropped car off at 10:15 and told them would be back later to pick up. Returned at 5:30 and car had not been moved. No oil change and no inspection. No real reason why it wasn't done, just excuses. Offered for us to leave it overnight and pick up tomorrow...no the appointment was at 11:00 on Monday. No service manager to speak with and the counter guy had no answers. Have been premiere member for many years and will never, ever step foot in a AAA car care center again. Save yourself time and headache and go elsewhere. Awful experience!
