Negative experience: My sister and I booked a 3 day trip from NC to DC for the Inauguration. On the Friday before we were to leave for DC, we received 2 phone calls asking if we would still want to go on the trip given the cancelation of the outdoor Inauguration and parade. We said yes, if the other stops on the trip were proceeding as scheduled. We were told absolutely. We were obviously disappointed about missing out on the Monday event, but this was not the fault of the tour company. What was their fault was a total lack of communication to the guests, at least on our bus, of just about everything else. On Sunday, January 19th, we were to have stopped at the Marine Museum in VA, eat lunch there, travel to the Pentagon 911 Memorial and then to Arlington. We passed, without stopping, the Marine Museum and ended up at a mall eating lunch. We were told we were going to an Army Museum, but that never happened either. Traveled on to the Pentagon and were then told that Arlington had closed early due to bad weather. Again, not the tour company's fault. Ended up at the hotel with a meeting of 4 bus loads of confused passengers. This turned into total chaos and confusion for everyone with no clear directions, answers or information. We were told that they skipped the Marine Museum because they realized how far it was from the Pentagon and there would not be time. With Google Maps and a clock, folks on my bus couldn't figure out how this poorly planned day was due to weather. More importantly, we were not told in advance of their change of plans. During their meeting with us, things became testy and a young tour guide berated and chastised everyone in the room. It was highly unprofessional. We stayed to our own plans on Monday, January 20th, and were told that Holiday shuttled those interested into DC. On Tuesday, January 21st, at breakfast, we were told that everyone was so disappointed in missing Arlington, they were changing the trip on the schedule from Mount Vernon to Arlington, followed by a lunch stop at the Marine Museum. We arrived at Arlington at 9AM, pulled up to the gate, and was told they were not opening until 10. I knew this already because it was posted on their website. Apparently our tour director did not. We were unloaded at 10:30 and told the changing of the guard was at 11. After getting on the shuttle, we barely made it and had to immediately get back on the shuttle to return to the bus. So disappointed that we had to miss the eternal flame. Our stop at the Marine Museum was about an hour. Just enough time to eat, bathroom break and get on the bus. We went on this trip with the full knowledge that the Inauguration plans were scrapped and the weather was going to be bad, but the frustration with the lack of information and professionalism was truly disappointing. The bus drivers were very courteous and excellent drivers. This post is meant to be constructive criticism in order for this company to improve their customer service.

Fantastic experience: We have used Holiday for several years to transport our Theatre Raleigh ACT group to Atlanta for the JTF Conference. Great clean bases, courteous and safe drivers. We can always count on them and that means alot to a travel planner! Ondray S is our driver and he is flexible, courteous and a safe driver. We always ask for him.

Fantastic experience: Our bus driver Terry, and our tour director Rhonda were the absolute best! They guided us through a winter storm to our destination safely and timely. I can’t even begin to express our gratitude when our bus driver Terry lead us in prayer to and from our destination and at that moment I knew we were in great hands! Our tour director Rhonda, was absolutely amazing. She made sure to accommodate everyone’s needs and before her own. She was extremely informative and hands on by providing excellent family friendly entertainment and empathy for our entire group of nearly 35 people. Positive experience: First trip with Holiday to Lancaster, PA and Gettysburg. Everyone from the company, our guide, and our driver were so professional, helpful, friendly, and courteous. We loved our step-on guides and the venues we visited. It was a great group of people and my husband and I had a wonderful time! My only personal disappointment was the hotel chosen. It was in a poor location, not near restaurants or shopping, dingy, old, and rundown. We arrived early at 4:45pm with no formal dinner planned and the closest restaurant a 1/2 mile away. Not many seniors wanted to make that walk. Perhaps a planned dinner stop or a trip to the Strausburg railroad museum that afternoon could have been added? At least a bus ride to dinner? Overall, I highly recommend traveling with Holiday! Ride comfortably, see our beautiful country, and enjoy!

He drove smoothly and courteously and went the extra mile on several occasions, including driving back to the hotel to retrieve items left by students while they enjoyed their time at Dollywood. Fantastic experience: I went on Holiday Tours bus to go on a cruise and rode overnight. The seats on the new bus was not as comfortable as the older buses but other than that it was great! The driver was great and so was the hostess. The room on the cruise was amazing. I highly recommend Holiday Tours to all of my friends and will definitely use them again!

Fantastic experience: We went on a tour of Concord Mall and Charlotte Motor Speedway to see the Christmas lights. Going to the speedway is well worth the cost of $45 per car. There are so many lights over 5 million! The village is a great place to eat and take pictures. Being on the tour bus made not having to drive was delightful. Charlotte was our guide and Terry was the driver. Both were friendly, and very helpful.

Negative experience: We used them today for a field trip for my sons school . The driver was very kind and it was totally not his fault . We went to Grandfather Mountain with a bus of 6 graders however . Our bus broke down getting their which made us cut more time from our trip . Then it broke down 3 times coming back . I do believe these buses need to be looked over better ! We broke down the 3 rd time right in the middle of a Major HWY this could have became bad . Thank goodness it did not and hopefully we make it back to the school before we brake down ounce again .

Fantastic experience: Best Vacation travel business! Experience! Excellence!

Negative experience: You need to check your drivers. Today on the high way, one driver may have had an accident because one of the drivers who was driving the bus was "floating" on the road and was not following any traffic rules. People who were on the bus and drivers who were in other cars could have been very injured. This was a black woman, not a young woman. She did not respond to the warning signal from the other drivers. She is a dangerous driver. Be careful when you get on a bus with a driver like that.

Fantastic experience: I went from Charlotte to Atlanta and back. The ride on the motorcoach was very comfortable. We got home in record time which was much appreciated. Our driver was Aurek; he was focused and you could tell that he was experienced. He was helpful to all of us - with our bags and our midway stop and with any request that we had. Glad that we got Aurek as our driver. He represented Holiday Company very well.

Fantastic experience: Holden Beach is a remarkable place to take your family and friends. There is a unique event called "Festival by the sea" that is held every fall. It's a great place to lounge and be entertained with music, food, street fairs and art exhibits. Thanks to HOLIDAY TOURS, got us there and back home safely. They have a list of other trips on their website for the entire year you can book or make monthly payments. Looking forward to planning more trips with holiday tours.

Negative experience: I really hope they train their bus drivers how to use parking lot properly. Or hire more drivers who actually have brain which works

Negative experience: I would not recommend traveling with Holiday Tours and will not be again. The mask TSA requirement is not being enforced and passengers were allowed to take endless personal phone calls disturbing everyone around with no repercussions. My tour didn't get off to a good start. I was in a parking lot in the dark, all by myself and was to be 15 minutes early (not sure why if the bus was arriving late) I was not picked up on time as the tour guide decided to stop at Bojangles with the other passengers instead of picking me up at the stop. Why wasn't I picked up on time and gotten a chance to go to Bojangles for breakfast too? If you sign up for a tour to see all seven lighthouse on the Outer Banks, don't expect to see all seven, at least not in the daylight hours. You might see one in the darkness at 9pm at night, which is not what you paid for. The issue was that the tour guide decided to stop for an early dinner after we had a late lunch at 2pm, instead of going to the lighthouse during operating hours. One of her favorites on the bus wanted to dine at that Italian restaurant. This would not have been a problem had we just gone to the lighthouse the last day as it was just a 10 minute drive from where we crossed the bridge to head back (three hours ahead of schedule) The bus driver had made arrangements while we were on the second ferry of the day as to where he could park a bus for dinner and learned Manteo had six restaurants within close distance to each other. But that didn't happen. The tour guide was unprepared and didn't start reading about the tour stops until the tour started. It seems that should have been done ahead of time and not just wing it and hope it goes ok. Besides not stopping at one of the better lighthouses, Bodie, we did a lot of back tracking; spent too long at some locations and not enough at others. Holiday tours should have better planned the details and route. The final details document, only was sent a week prior then had the wrong hotel listed. Really. Most of the lighthouse were not open to climb. We were only able to go inside two as the third one open was skipped basically as going in the dark doesn't count as we could not see the stripes or the unique windows on it. If you are interested in a bus tour, I'd suggest you find a better company to work with that will follow the itinerary and not the wishes of a single passenger. I feel shortchanged as I did not get what I paid for as we didn't see all that we were to see and returned three hours early instead of using that time to see what we missed or spend longer at a museum or even sleep a little longer as the bus got in so late the night before.

Fantastic experience: My driver was Marty Myers, who was absolutely phenomenal, the ride was smooth and you could definitely tell he knew what he was doing! Also the busses themselves are amazing, the one i rode on has outlets in your seat if you need to charge your phone, it also has a very lovely foot rest for those who like to have their feet up(like me). Over all the experience was great and would 10/10 recommend this company and driver to anyone looking for enjoyable, comfortable, and easy going vacation!

Fantastic experience: OUTSTANDING NORTH CAROLINA BUS COMPANY!!! It was a pleasure working with Holiday Tours the past two weeks for the Franklin Graham Prayer March 2020. Darin Smith was wonderful to work with too. His response time was quick and he bent over backwards to help us on such short notice. We charters one bus, and then two and the day before the event charter the third and he had everything ready with a smile in his voice. I heard also how professional all the bus drivers where and how nice all 6 of them were. I would recommend this Bus Charter company everytime. It's great to work with a great North Carolina company. Positive experience: We took the June 8, 2018 bus trip to Myrtle Beach S.C. for our vacation trip of the year. It seemed like the bus driver took forever to get down there and took every pig path side road there was to take to lengthen the amount of time on the road so we had less time on the beach! Not very happy with how crowded the bus was either! BTW the A/C was way too cold for most of the passengers and the driver ignored several people telling him to turn it off! Not very happy with our experience!

Negative experience: Do NOT use for LONG TRIPS (over 4+ hours) - The seats are horrible and the space between seats are just as bad. If you do, be sure to bring a gel insert to sit on. Trying to sleep is next to impossible. Will NEVER book them again.
