AAA Tire & Auto Service - King of Prussia

Negative experience: I came in for ONLY a tire rotation and oil change. It took about 2 1/2 hours because they decided they wanted to look at all my filters, brakes and other fluids Then they proceeded to tell me I needed new brakes and that I wouldn’t pass inspection. Quotes me a ridiculous price which I declined. I leave and come to find out they didn’t rotate my tires, one of the two things I asked them to do. I had to schedule on a different day to get them rotated. Went to pep boys and got my car inspected and passed with no issues at all. Don’t go here unless you want to get scammed and your time wasted. I would give zero stars if I could Update 3/12/25: AAA responded to my review and requested additional information, which I promptly provided by emailing it to [email protected]. I am now hopeful for a positive outcome. Will keep this review updated.

Fantastic experience: Phil and Tom were so helpful and accommodating today when I was having car issues. We have used this location before when we had a flat tire that needed repair and again, had the best experience with them being able to fit us in and accommodate an emergency repair. Could not more highly recommend this location and the staff.

Negative experience: I visited AAA Auto to get the brake pads on my BMW X5 repaired. The total cost came to $1,500, which included charges for various services, including a wheel alignment (that I never asked). After waiting for nearly 5 hours, a front desk staff member informed me that my vehicle was ready. However, I was shocked to hear that the front driver-side wheel still had alignment issues that their mechanic couldn’t resolve. They promised to email me a separate quote for the additional work, which seemed odd since I was already charged for alignment. It’s been 5 days, and I still haven’t received any email from them. To make matters worse, my car is now pulling to one side while driving, which has me seriously concerned about my safety and potential damage to my tires. I don’t understand why they’re asking for a separate quote when I’ve already paid for the alignment service—it feels like a scam. This was my first and last visit to AAA Auto, and I would never recommend this place to anyone. Update 1/13/2025: AAA responded to my review and requested additional information, which I promptly provided by emailing it to [email protected]. I am now hopeful for a positive outcome. Will keep this review updated. Update 1/28/2025: After I provided the requested details on 1/13/2025, they never came back and stopped responding to my messages. The response to reviews that comes from AAA are just a face saver and they have no genuine interest in solving customer’s problems. Stay away from this Scam Auto Repair.

Fantastic experience: Great service fixed my problem so easily

Negative experience: I made an appointment for out-of-state title transfer, came in on time, was instructed to wait. A man walked in after me, without an appointment, and then cut me in line for the same service. After 20 minutes of waiting, I asked what happened, and I was told that I need to wait because they served the man first and offered no assistance or apologies. I walked out and went across the street to Jacobys and was helped immediately and walked out with everything finished within 10 minutes. I would avoid this place, especially with their sexist and unprofessional behavior.

Positive experience: Called and asked how long for my oil change. Was told a little over an hour, got there a bit early and dropped it off and Uber to a store. It took over 2 hours and made me late for my next appt. When I said something I got a very poor apology.

Fantastic experience: I’m always happy with my service here. Phil & Tom at the front do a great job at keeping me updated on what maintenance is needed on my vehicle & help me prioritize things in an honest, cost effective manner. Everyone is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. They always take good care of me and my car and turn it around quickly. The waiting room is clean and spacious. I've been coming here for a few years, and now on my 2nd car, which I will continue to have serviced here.

Positive experience: Super supportive and friendly team: Nancy, the front desk person made us feel welcomed, answered all questions related to visit and also shared extended information on other questions. This would be our first choice to visit for any services provided by them.

Negative experience: Just went in to get an EZ Pass. There are 4 guys sitting at the registers, not a single one looks up or greats. I stand there awkwardly waiting until someone finally looks up and goes "....yeah?" like I've just ruined his day. I ask about the transponder and he goes "retail is closed, we're service". I ask if they can't ring up at that register and he replies "oh I don't know where they are" in the unmistakable tone of someone who can absolutely help but is dead at on refusing. I don't know what the deal is with this place, but considering how rude they are at the service desk, I would never consider having my car worked on there.

Fantastic experience: I've been taking my cars to the AAA auto care center for over a decade, first in Devon and now in KoP. Five stars all the way. They recently diagnosed and repaired, under warranty, a radiator issue that had been on-going for over a year. Stood by the warranty with no issues - No other garage would do that. I recommend the auto care center in KoP. The staff there is fantastic and treat everyone well. Two thumbs up to Gabe, Tom, and everyone else (and Nancy is awesome!).

Fantastic experience: Had two title transfers handled here - always been smooth. They are actually ready for you at the appointment time and quickly get the paperwork sorted. I've used the Ardmore location previously, and the KOP one is simply night and day difference.

Fantastic experience: Best repair experience for my Honda Accord at AAA King of Prussia, PA location. From Tom, who took my initial call, listening to my uncomfortable Honda story and letting me know options, to Gabriel, who researched repair costs, to Phil, who provided status of the repair and let me know when the car was done, which was much earlier from what I expected. Great customer service from all 3 service people. And icing on the cake was that their charge was much less expensive from a quote I received from another repair service. Thanks and will give AAA Auto Repair in King of Prussia my business going forward. This was long but important to say.

Positive experience: I had a fabulous experience with the gentleman that was doing the FBI clearance fingerprinting BUT my three stars is due to a painful interaction I witnessed of a woman getting her passport photo done. The woman doing her passport photo was very rude and dismissive. She called the woman over and turned and walked away the woman was confused and question “me?” And the woman who worked there shook her head no but almost in like an annoyed fashion with her back to the woman. She didn’t give her suggestions or even a warning she was taking the photo. Definitely not the experience I had at another location. When the woman had questions the woman working there was harsh with her responses, annoyed, and even snickered at one point. I felt very bad. But again the gentleman taking my photo was great!

Negative experience: Not specific to this location but in general my experience with AAA has not been good especially with customer support.

Fantastic experience: It has been such a pleasure working with this dealership. Tom was very nice and made sure I knew everything that was going on with my car and was very transparent and honest, and overall a kindhearted individual. I would highly recommend this place for service, they are seriously the best!!

Fantastic experience: Everyone is super nice and helpful. I mostly just go for routine service for my car. I was just there and I really like how they follow up with you about what it needs and send prompt emails with clear explanations (and photos). For someone who doesn't know much about vehicle maintenance, I appreciate that. Shout out to Gabe and Phil - really friendly and helpful.

Negative experience: I’ve come to this location multiple times to have finger printing done for both jobs and school. I’ve always had very pleasant experiences, however yesterday was the exception. The African-American woman who was doing the prints was unnecessarily short and rude with those who were there to be printed. She antagonized the woman before me and proceeded to roll her eyes and suck her teeth after she asked the remaining people sitting in the immediate area if they too were there to be finger printed. As I stated, I’ve been through this process quite a bit so I know how it goes. When it was my turn she barely spoke two words to me, instead opting to point to convey directions. She never verified if the information on the screen was correct and was overall extremely cold. I understand we all have some bad days, but her energy was nasty. I remained pleasant and gave her grace despite how I was treated. I would hope no one else has the experience I and the rest of those there yesterday had. Unprofessional.

Negative experience: Can’t speak for other services but DO NOT have your car towed here. They won’t make any efforts to take care of your car. Even if they say they’ll take a look at it today or tomorrow, they WON’T. Your car will be sitting in the parking lot for as long as until you decide to take it elsewhere and apparently they DON’T CARE. Other reviews also confirm this. You will not have any information by calling them.

Fantastic experience: Went to this location for a battery replacement. Very prompt and efficient service, and replaced the battery under warranty.

Negative experience: I went here to get my fingerprints done and I’m a mom with two kids. I had to bring them with me and the man was so rude. My children were well behaved and I was carrying my son on me in a carrier. The guy had to take my picture and was like “will you take him off? We don’t babysit here?” It was so rude. Of course I can!

Fantastic experience: Walked in without an appt to get an International Driving Permit. Unfortunately I didn't catch the name of the gentleman who took care of me (he's the one with the Harry Potter mousepad) but he immediately greeted me at the door and had it all done within minutes, and then he went out of his way to help me find the power adapter I needed. He was incredibly cheerful and friendly, making what should have been a boring errand into a positive experience. A special shoutout to Lee Ann and Nancy, as well, for being superstars and going above and beyond. I'd like to buy all three a drink, but in lieu of that, they should get raises!

Negative experience: My appt was canceled for fingerprints on arrival. . I took the day off from work and drove 30 miles to get to this appt. Assistant manger unapologetic, unhelpful and and rude. Will follow up with regional manger to address this issue .

Negative experience: You schedule an appointment to be seen 2 hours later then your schedule time I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone pore customer service and their very unorganized I will not be returning back to this place for anything

Negative experience: After my car broke down, AAA suggested they tow my car here to be serviced instead of my traditional mechanic because of the membership perks. My car has been sitting in their parking lot for 9 days now and it has not even been looked at. When I call for updates they say they will look at it in a day or two, but they don't and they never call back. If you have AAA don't bother coming here.

Fantastic experience: Went there for a. International Driver's Permit. It was a pleasantly quick process as there was no wait. I have walked past this place many times as I never had a need to enter. I was surprised that it is quite spacious and neater than I expected The staff was friendly and to the point. Perfect.

Negative experience: I called this location and asked some questions related to their travel services. The employee I spoke to on the phone was very helpful and encouraged me to come in without making an appointment. I went in an hour later. The woman at the front desk was very kind and she took down my information. She led me to table to wait until it was my turn. An hour and a half passed and not a single employee came up to me, asked me why I wasn’t assisted yet, or offered to even answer any short questions. There were no employees at the front desk so I left with having anyone help me. Felt like a waste of time and a lesson in really bad customer service. I can’t recommend this location for travel services.

Fantastic experience: Went here to get fingerprinted with Identogo. Was super easy and quick. Terrance took my fingerprints and he was very kind and polite, way nicer than my experience at the East Norriton location.

Fantastic experience: I recently bought a car and became a AAA member. This AAA location was clean, quick, and professional, helping me with a new car registration. They took care of my paperwork quickly, and I was able to quickly schedule an inspection with their service staff. The parking here is very limited so I suggest you park elsewhere unless you absolutely have to.

Positive experience: This location is clean, comfortable, and has a good variety of products and maps. I was able to accomplish multiple things- fingerprinting for my job and passport photos for vacation. My only hesitation to give a 5 star rating is that there was a general "unwelcoming" or "indifferent" and bordering on rude feeling from many of the employees. No smiles, no warmth offered from the 3 men that I was passed around to. However, the woman who assisted me with fingerprinting was very kind and friendly.

Fantastic experience: After being treated poorly at Pep Boys I went across the street to AAA for a vehicle inspection. Gabe was extremely professional and helpful throughout the process!

Positive experience: They get the job done sometimes, but the bedside manner of some of the guys at the front desk for the Service Center is non existent.

Everyone was so pleasant and helpful on both occasions. They make something that I would say is often an unpleasant experience so pleasant and smooth. Fantastic experience: Took my car to AAA Auto repair in King of Prussia today, made appointment w ease yesterday. What GREAT service!! Pleasant and helpful staff, need breaks routers, was surprised received a text with pictures of what was in necessary repair, and price ahead of time. Car sounds great! Price even better!! A++

Negative experience: Tried to oversell some of their services. Bad coolant etc. Honda coolant normally not done for 100000 miles.

Fantastic experience: Took my car car to auto shop after much deliberation. I was not sure what to expect but was very pleasantly surprised. Provided great and honest service. Gabe explained everything very well and gave an honest recommendation. Did not try to sell me parts or service as is common practice across most of auto shops. Since my car is relatively new, even suggested that parts may still be covered under manufacturer warranty and I should try that route first. Def. found a trustworthy place and partner for my car Maintenance and repairs.

Fantastic experience: Super friendly and helpful technicians and staff. Made an appointment but missed the confirmation email so I missed the appointment I had requested. They got me in there (with flexibility for my schedule) a few days later. Sat in the waiting area and got some work done while I waited. All in, took about 25-30 min for them to change my oil and filter and take a look at a potential brake issue.

Negative experience: I was not satisfied with their service . They did not explain policy's well.

Fantastic experience: I needed to get fingerprinting done through IdentoGO. I was dreading my appointment because of previous poor experiences at other locations. This was a farther drive and during rush hour. I was blown away at how incredibly kind and welcoming Nancy and the staff were. I’m certainly going to send my coworkers to this location. Negative experience: They tried to get me to buy $600 tires when my tires were fine and didn't find the CV issue that my car had. Costco, who does not even do this, along with the tow truck driver to Costco (AAA diagnosed my car with a tire problem extremely likely to cause blowouts) both said it wasnt the tires and was likely suspension

Negative experience: Been sitting here for 3 hours to get my annual inspection done and they still haven’t taken my car in to do it. Yes, I made an appointment for 3 hours ago.

Fantastic experience: Very nice accommodations while you're waiting for your car. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Cody. The oil change was a tad pricey--and I had a members' discount coupon. While I was there, they told me I needed brakes(which I suspected) and they did it right on the spot with a minimal wait time. The price for brakes and labor was pretty comparable to my mechanic's price.

Negative experience: I have a Honda crv and while I went there for tire rotations they did or attempted to do an alignment check. Fine with me however the mechanic said that Hondas don’t have the ability to have the rear wheels to be aligned without an after market attachment that could be ordered for me. How could this be that the car can’t be aligned normally? He asked me if I would like them to see how much the bolts would cost and call me I said yes. Guess they lost my number as I never heard back. I went to Honda and they said they never heard of this and aligned the car without an issue. Not the first time I had an issue with the mechanical end but was hoping that a new locale would possibly change the service experience but was sadly mistaken.

Fantastic experience: Sarah (notary and vehicle services) was great to work with. She was so efficient and tried to get our work done and out the door as soon as she could. Everything worked smoothly. She's a superstar. #recommended #bechego

Negative experience: Pretty clear lack of communication between their dispatch and garage which has lead to a pretty terrible customer experience 6 hours later and the vehicle is still in the parking lot... why would they not communicate a long wait time to customer

Fantastic experience: Edited: the service assistant manager called in response of my review and took care this for me. Overall the shop people are very friendly and the manager knows cars which was helpful. Need to be clear on pricing. They charge me 70 for a lug nut to be removed. The key was in the car. I has no idea thet would charge me so much for something so simple. Wish they would have been clear on the phone as I would have come over to find it. Very disappointed

Negative experience: Needed a jump start at my home. I have “Premium” membership however that is just a word and not related to anything but the towing miles. The road side truck did not have a battery to replace my dead 12V battery. Instead of going to the AAA King of Prussia Service Center and returning with a battery they jumped my car and said the Auto Center could replace battery. When i got there they said it would take a few hours due to short staffing and i could uber home and they would pay for my uber ride. The next day i took uber back to service center and was told they dont have the battery and they would not reimburse for Uber rides. I gave them 1-star because AAA facility is very clean comfortable modern looking with friendly people who could not help. I was told AAA is unaffiliated with AAA Road Service and replacing a battery is not a “Premium” service just the jump start.

Fantastic experience: They responded in a great timely manor. The technicians are very respectful and informative.

Negative experience: Went to get my car inspected. It took 5 hours even though I had an appointment. I failed inspection and they wanted to charge me 200 dollars and a quick replacement I did myself in 5 minutes. A pair of nice sunglasses and a radio were missing from my car right after. After calling them, they didn’t even call me back with any information.I Don’t recommend this place. I will be cancelling my long time membership, and finding a new insurance company. Find a place that actually stays with their appointment times and that will provide more help. I would give negative stars if I could.

Negative experience: Alll the times that I’ve been there I was told no more than 3 hours, but it would be from 9 to 4. They missed so much to repair, and also not everything was done right that the Subaru had found, so I’m never going going back to this AAA in king of Prussia.

Positive experience: Expensive, slow service

Negative experience: Nice staff but extremely unreliable. Appointments are not well adhered to. Only go with them if you can drop off and don’t care about being done by a certain time, because it won’t be. On top of that, don’t expect their service team to be able to provide prices for even the most rudimentary service. An oil change ended up costing $40 more because, despite me telling them what kind of car I had, they didn’t realize it needed full synthetic until it was in the shop because “it’s such a new car “. It’s a 2021. At this point the model has been around for 17 months at least. If your system is so out of date that you don’t have information for a car 17 months old, you have serious problems.

Negative experience: Did not have the battery for Hybrid Vehicles!!

Negative experience: A representative hung up on me yesterday. I called for a car repair estimate. He (Bernard) called me back because he had to look up the part. Either he hung up on me or we got disconnected. Either way, he did NOT call me back. This location needs a serious upgrade in customer service. Taking my business elsewhere. Update: Whoever monitors the reviews simply copies and paste the SAME responses. You want me to waste more of my time to email ( not call!) This same information. Why don't YOU make a corporate effort and contact me? And yes, I'm also a Premier Member. You need to speak with Bernard at the KOP store in the repair department about his conduct and let me know the response. My first visit to the store wasn't stellar either. You hired people who don't know what a smile is.

Negative experience: TOO MUCH EXPENSIVE. I went here as I have AAA membership and I do receive couple of email amount customer be if it’s for my car heating problem they literally charged $650 for a small fix. I really don’t recommend here unless if you want to pay more. They said initially one price and in the end it has added $250 unnecessary charges and saying these are ok charges. I will never go to this again. It is a waster of money and time and efforts.

Fantastic experience: As AAA members, my wife Julia and I have been using AAA Auto Service for the past 3 years at their previous location on W. Lancaster, Wayne, and now at their new location at 197 E. Dekalb Pike. Unlike a number of other auto repair shops in Wayne, we have found AAA to be honest and reliable. They do not try to upsell you on repair work that is not needed. Their service rep, Gabe, merits a particular shout out for his promptness with attending to our requests and with returning our calls. Go Gabe!

Fantastic experience: I went to get some notary work done and I was greeted promptly. Caryn and Sara had both helped me on different days and were very professional. They new exactly what I needed and took care of me. It's nice to go in on different days and get the same service.

Negative experience: Called about a dozen times over 2 week period, no answers. Every time I did get someone on the phone it's "let me transfer you" then I'm transfered to someone who doesn't answer. I've left messages and still get no response. I've given my name and number to someone to give to the service department to call me back and still hear nothing back. Guess I'll be going elsewhere for an oil change. 10% member discount isn't worth playing phone tag for 2 weeks.

Negative experience: horrible experience. i had called for a flat tire, so they could change it…they couldn’t change the tire so they apparently called a tow truck that never came. i was waiting an hour… no updates, so i call and i was told the call was a “killed call” which they basically said means no one picked up my tow call…and i would’ve never known if i didn’t call. i call and they tell me they actually don’t have any tows in the area…but that i’ll be notified if and when someone picks up the call. i’m just getting the run around all night & still waiting. so here i am waiting 3 hours later, still no tow still no update on my tow. i was told if i feel unsafe to go inside the gas station or call the cops. safe to say my membership will be canceled asap.

Fantastic experience: After stalling for months, I finally went to get my lost DL replaced. I had no appointment, I walked in and waiting about 30 minutes. Everyone was super nice and helpful. Caryn took care of me and rather than feeling like a chore she made it feel like a conversation with a friend and before I knew it, I had my temp license and was on my way. We interacted with a few employees, I didn’t catch everyone’s name but I so appreciated their help. As a member It cost about $47 including the notary of my signature on the forms. Totally worth it to not go the DMV. Thanks AAA

Negative experience: Schedule an appointment with AAA King of Prussia toll by Casper the intake person I could bring my car to be repaired what is the tow truck they charged me $40 that have my car to to AAA King of Prussia a week later I had to call and asked about my car I was informed at that time they wouldn't do the work so now I only am I out $40 I have to have it towed to another repair shop I am not pleased at all

Negative experience: Two week for an oil change appointment is horrible

Positive experience: This place is great! An excellent way to avoid the DMV. I came here for my registration, and the whole process was pretty easy. Everyone was also super polite and friendly, even handing out water bottles while I waited. The only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars is because the process could be a little more streamlined- while things moved fairly quickly, it took 5 different desks to get the job done.

Fantastic experience: Brandon Best truly lives up to his last name. I was out of my home state and desperate to figure out what was going on with my car. Turned out to be a catalytic converter. He squeeze me into a tight weekend schedule and with help from one of the shop mechanics, Brian, repaired my catalytic and entire pipe system in my under carriage within 3 days of my initial visit. Thanks to Brandon, Brian, and the team at Triple AAA in KOP, I was able to proceed with my travel plans. Highly recommend the crew here!!! Forever grateful.

Fantastic experience: After just moving to the area from a different state, I called AAA to help me with the title change on my car. Sara R. and I spoke on the phone numerous times and she was instrumental in helping me to gather all the necessary documents. When I arrived at AAA in person, Lee Ann K. was extremely kind and efficient in going through all the tedious paperwork required to complete the title change. She gave me great recommendations in the area and we had a friendly conversation while she completed the title change paperwork. It was so nice to get such a warm welcome to the KOP area from the local AAA office and I greatly appreciate the assistance with a task I was (at first) not looking forward to completing.
