Fantastic experience: I stopped by to get my IDP. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. The process was smooth and quick. They took pictures on the spot and issued an IDP.

Negative experience: So these people are worthless they don’t know how to test a battery properly wanted to say that a battery they admitted to have to jump start was still a good battery after I had another mechanic do an actual load test on the battery and t told me the battery will only stay at40% charge because one of the battery’s cells is dead seriously what mechanic doesn’t know there’s a difference between the charger and the battery health and just checking voltage won’t tell you much fully charging a battery then putting it under a load and testing how much the voltage drops and how well the battery holds it’s charge

Negative experience: Not even sure why I pay for AAA. I called them to get my car battery jumped and they told me it was going to take 4 hours. My car is 2 miles from this location. What a joke of a place.

Negative experience: I'm done getting my car worked on here. It doesn't take over an hour to do a simple oil change. This happens every time I've come here. They put your car on the lift walk away for a while come back do something else then walk away for a while. Very unprofessional. I'll keep my membership for towing purposes but regular service will be elsewhere.

Negative experience: Very frustrated with my recent experiences. There are a few decent employees there, but apparently they are few and far between. After spending a large amount of money on repairs, one of my original lug nuts was not placed back on my vehicle after a service. It was instead replaced with a cheap one that doesn't match. Once I noticed I attempted to reach out. After leaving a few messages to discuss the situation, I never received a response. A few days later I found there was also damage to my driver seat. This used to be my go-to mechanic. Very disappointing.

Fantastic experience: AAA Manassas Car Care is highly recommended. After my Jeep experienced a mechanical issue (very high RPM), AAA towed my car the its Car Care Center in Manassas and quickly fixed the issue, as well as, completing other standard maintenance and diagnostic testing, all at a very reasonable price, much of which was covered by my AAA membership.

Negative experience: Driving overseas requires an international drivers license (IDP). AAA is the only place that I am aware of who offers this. The IDP is a paper booklet stamped by AAA, with your photo and handwritten identification information. This is done onsite, or mailed in. My husband and I went onsite, so we didn't have to worry about mail time. We couldn't tell if AAA offered the photos for IDP, so we got passport photos at a local CVS. We were happy to see photos are offered onsite and for lower prices than local drug stores. Since we walked in with our passport photos from CVS, still in CVS sleeve, we didn't need their photo service. Sadly, the lady helping us took one quick look at the photos and said the white background isn't white enough and we need to purchase photos from AAA, since often CVS and other sites don't have white backgrounds. She explained we can get our money back from the drug store if we still had the receipt. I complied but my husband didn't agree. As I sat there, several others came and she came back to explain there was another client with a photo from a drug store out of compliance. We then drove to another AAA location and my husband was able to use the same CVS photo, which was rejected at Manassas AAA, for his IDP completion. This is a scam AAA Manassas won't accept passport photos that are regulated by the Department of State. The manager reached out and told me that she is sorry "I feel this way". This office takes advantage of people for an extra $15 for IDPs. As another AAA location accepted and applied my husband's photos (taken at the same location with the same background) without concern, I should not have been told to have another photo done, cutting me $15. I will never return and have a poor view of AAA now for this unresolved inappropriate experience.
Negative experience: I can't recommend this location for getting an international driving permit. While I was there myself and 3 other couples were told our passport photo, backgrounds we brought in were not "white", and and we would need to pay 15 dollars for new photos. I ended up going to another location and my passport photo was accepted without issue. Ironically if they posted on their website that they offer photo services at the location and the price. I probably would have used the service since it was cheaper than where I had got the photos done. Edit: I reached out to the email address as requested, they simply put us in touch with a manager at the store. After speaking with the manager Octavia, it became very clear that management here is not interested in acknowledging the poor experience that we had or addressing the underlying issue occurring at this location. Octavia was incapable of taking ownership and apologizing for the poor experience, she constantly deflected by saying she wasn't there at the time of service and questioned the validity of our photos despite them being accepted without issue at another AAA location. Reaching out as requested was just another complete waste of my time. If you want a better experience do not patronize this location. The management and customer experience will disappoint.

Fantastic experience: My second time using this repair service. It's hard for an elderly woman to trust car mechanics. This group has been exemplary in their treatment of me and my old jeep! Negative experience: Tammy Bridges was the slowest, most forgetful, and most frustrating-to-deal-with agent I have ever encountered in my life. The only reason I put up with her long enough to sign up with AAA for insurance was because the quotes I got from everyone else were close to $100 more per month. She had speaker on constantly, never actually put the phone on hold when she asked me to hold so I heard every word she was saying to her coworkers, and I find it interesting that out of both times she said she would call me back, the system conveniently went "down" both times, or at least that was the explanation when I called her back after more than an hour in both cases. I live in Richmond so I am not sure why dialling my local AAA office here routed me to her. To say that I was severely underwhelmed by the entire experience would be a masterpiece of understatement.

Negative experience: Caution - if you bring your car in for one problem, it will inevitably and quickly develop others. Buyer beware, avoid their mechanical work unless you want your car to develop new problems you'll have to pay for. Brought my car in for 2 tires and brakes at the beginning of the month. Apparently they had to replace all of the lug nuts too, which they didn't ask if they could do beforehand (only stated some might need to be replaced). At that point I couldn't argue the charges. Paid about $940. Fast forward two weeks. One of the rear tires had low tire pressure because it had a nail also. This one also couldn't be patched so I paid $339 for 2 new rear tires. The TPMS monitor still said low tire pressure the next day. I checked and the brand new tires had low air and I had to fill them up. Two days passed and the TPMS light was still on. I called to bring it in for them to fix. Then the third new problem showed up - low battery power light on and making a loud wheezing noise. I brought it in for them to fix these new problems. They stated it needed a new alternator for $869. It also needed a new TPMS sensor. They explained both were wear and tear. Caitlin also told me that she has watched the mechanic fill up the tires with air on Monday and that I wouldn't have been able to drive home if he hadn't. In other words, she suggested I was lying that I had filled up the brand new tires with air. At that point she lost all credibility. The other guy stepped in and said they would replace the TpMS sensor which had ironically broken when they replaced my tires, and they would actually not charge me for it. However, now I need a new alternator. Taking that business elsewhere. I actually had a similar experience here a few years back (bring in for one problem, leave with another) and avoided AAA for a while. I came back to save a few bucks on my tires. It wasn't worth it! Don't be fooled even if their tires are cheaper.

Negative experience: Kaitlyn has excellent customer service! However, horrible from the mechanic side. I had a 1pm appointment that I scheduled yesterday to replace my alternator. I bring my car in for my appointment and 1hr and 45 minutes later I get a call saying that NOTHING has been done to my car because there's an issue with getting the correct part. The mechanic says he now has the part and it will take between 30-45 minutes more. Fine. I get a 2nd call from the mechanic stating the same thing, that there is an issue with getting the needed part and that he has to get it from another vendor which will add an additional 1hr and 30-45 minutes!!! I'm extremely upset! What is the point of scheduling an appointment (when they already had my car information from a few days back) if you can't stick to the appointment time and have the necessary part ready to install?!?!

Negative experience: Stay away from this car shop!! I would have given no star to be honest with you. I had 2 major issues that compromised my trust in this shop big time. First instance is when I took my car to get my VA inspection and failed my car for some control arm repair. Mind you they have wanted to get they fix on my car for a year so they clearly used that opportunity to put me against the wall and have me spend $1000 for that repair... I argued the point that the control arm repair shouldn’t have been ground for failure. I took my car to another shop for 2nd opinion and low and behold they passed my car as the control arm did not warrant the inspection failure. 2nd instance I got all 4 of my tires done there 2 years ago and this past fall one of my tire had a nail in the middle. I am aware that when a nail is in the middle the tire should be repairable. And mind you I had purchased tire protection on all 4 of them so I took it there to have it repaired and again this time they said it was not repairable and I needed a new tire!!! I again took my car to another shop for 2nd opinion the same one I went to prior and it was indeed repairable so I only paid $25 to get my tire fixed vs AAA manassas wanted a brand new tire out of me that would have cost me $175…. I feel that this shop is out to get you to repair things that are not absolutely needed and get more business out of you instead of focusing on maintaining and fixing what’s really needed. My advice again go to another shop, it will save you lots of $$$$

Fantastic experience: If you are in need of anything store/travel related ask for Tyler, he has the customer service you want. His can do attitude and willingness to help has become a lost art with many businesses. He genuinely wants to have you leaving the store happy. There are not enough compliments I can post about his willingness to help and satisfy a aaa client. He exceeded every expectation with my simple yet time consuming purchase of Hershey park tickets. He never got frustrated and he even followed up with me a day later after learning about other options for me. I am so grateful he was there and the person to help me! Negative experience: The check-in guy told me I need full synthetic oil for my KIA Sorento based on my VIN!...When I checked with KIA Service Manager, he said KIA Sorento takes both conventional and synthetic oil. Those folks at AAA Care Care in Manassas are up to no good!

Negative experience: I brought my car in for blown cigar lighter fuses and have engine oil changed. I pointed out to service advisor (P. Bian) and front desk personnel that I was taking holiday vacation on Friday out if state. I was pleasantly surprised when they said to hold off on oil change as the oil had only been changed little over 1k miles ago. I was a little concerned about a diagnostic fee for what I felt was 2 fuses under the driver's side dash. Turns out there was a third fuse in engine compartment fuse box and all three were blown. I never would have found engine compartment fuse on my own. Diagnostic fee, parts, labor, and AAA member discount brought total costs to $56 (car dealerships would have charged $88 for just diagnostics). This would have been 5 star rating at this point. I got home and performed my customary pre-trial self inspection during which I saw that the engine compartment fuse box housing had been broken (looks as if the repair techs used a big screwdriver to pry the. ox open and broke it). Had the techs even reported this to set ice advisor or to myself, I would have been upset but would have still felt pretty good about repair. I was within hearing of the service desk and could see the two techs and both service advisors, techs did not tell advisors they broke anything, nor did they tell me. They all knew I planned on driving out of state on Friday and were perfectly willing to let me leave with broken fuse box housing which could easily admit road grime, moisture, etc and cause shorts which could result in much more costly repairs - especially if any of the computer control modules gets involved. And all of this on potentially open Road during Christmas holidays. Recipe for potential disaster for me. I rated 2 star because some of the corrective actions have been initiated - AAA service advisor took pictures of broken housing to review with service managers (parts most likely need to be ordered and spend of repair dependent upon speed of getting parts). Still disappointed that no one suggested temporarily taping housing with electrical tape go keep out additional dust/moisture until repair can be initiated. Actions of technicians after the fact are unacceptable, unprofessional, juvenile, and criminal (fraud comes to mind). As I've written, I don't believe service advisors knew, but if it comes out, they knew, then same previous comments applies to their after actions as well - except worse as they hold positions of authority. Currently awaiting call from AAA about parts and repair. AAA service desk has apologized for whole debacle. This review will get better (hopefully) or much worse.

Negative experience: DO NOT RECOMMEND Please consider this place your last choice. I have 3 bad experiences in a row. 1st experience I make an appointment in person , gives all the details of my car and reason of my appointment after that when i went at my appointment day the mechanic said we don't have a machine to open your car tire. 2nd Experience I called them to make an appointment for State inspection but they said you don't need an appointment and come walk in. And when i went yesterday at 4:30 pm. They said we close at 5 so come at least 1 hour before closing. 3rd Experience Today i again go for State inspection at 1:20pm and today they said we close at 3pm only 1 hour and 45min left. Come again in a morning time. They waste my time and every time i go they told me the new story

Negative experience: Dropped my car at 1pm for state inspection and was told it will be around an hour to hour and a half which I agreed to, promised to be called. Two hours come by and nothing so I figured I stop by. Not done still about another hour to get it in. No apology or whatsoever. Asked to get me keys back and the response I get sure Ana hand it to me again without apology or even have a good day. What a service !!!
