Negative experience: Don't go here. They try to make you get services done that are not needed. My car is two years old and they suggested new tires! My threads are fine. Had wipers put on and one flew off three weeks later! This is why R and S Strauss went out of business. Stop taking advantage of people!

Negative experience: 0 stars I went in to a full service shop also a member none of my concerns were addressed all the women were very rude and short with me from start to finish .. they squeezed a 68 dollar Oil change I did not ask for and who know what other watered down fluids they put in! I’ll never go back to this place it’s a oil change scam

Negative experience: Took my fiancés car in for an oil change, to look at the brake service that was done by them earlier this year (brakes shake at certain speeds), and to diagnose the sound coming from engine. We were told that the oil change was done and they can hear the noise in engine but they can not look at engine due to them not offering that service and all they can do is replace the engine. When going to pick up the car they were asked if they saw anything with the brakes and couldn’t get a specific answer from them whether they were looked at. Wasted an entire day off and now have to take car to another place tomorrow when we were under impression that this was a full service center. If they couldn’t diagnose an engine problem to begin with they should’ve advised that over the phone. I am currently 35 weeks pregnant and we cannot afford to be without reliable transportation.

Negative experience: So I took my daughters car in for a quick oil change. Nope nothing quick about this. I was stuck there over an hour and a half so they could do some 1 million percent safety inspection. Upon this they gave me a list of everything that was wrong. Well they told us that the tie rod links were cracked and broken along other things. I told the guy from the start that I JUST WANTED AN OIL CHANGE. well you would think this was good he told us. we turns out it was a flat out LIE. I took her car to mavis.... they said that there was nothing wrong with them. There was no play in the steering and it didn't appear to them to be cracked. Before they brought the car back out to me they told me to "sit down so we can give you a price to fix all this". I was fuming mad and wanted to cancel the whole damn membership. Never again will I go to this particular service station. I called the so called manager and he started getting cocky and nasty. Please avoid this one they will make you fix stuff that isn't broken. Good thing I took the car and not my daughter. She would have fallen into their trap.

Negative experience: Hours say open until 5 on Saturdays. However, Travel closes at 3. That should be reflected on hours posted. Also tried calling before driving 30 minutes out of our way, but number on Google had someone at Philly office answer. That employee said Brick Travel should be open same hours as auto since their office was.

Negative experience: Used the triple a app, this was the top result and recommendation, i called the number listed 3 times and its computerized, as i wanted to make sure they had the tire in stock. When i arrived there with the tow truck i was informed that they probably wouldn't get to it that day because they're booked with appointments and may or may not have the tire in stock. The tow truck driver promptly dropped my car there leaving me stranded for over 2 hours, this could have ALL BEEN avoided by having a person actually answer the phone. I should have went with my gut and avoided this place, because unhelpful doesn't even begin to describe the service. If you're reading this and need tires, go to tire farm in farmingdale, if you'd like to be treated like a human being, they'll help you. I can't imagine what this would be like if i was elderly or handicapped, I am shocked.

Negative experience: The management does not care that what they've done to you is unfair and not right. They shrug off that parts of your car fell off because they didn't reattach it correctly. They don't care that you tell them when they tell you that you need new windshield wipers after they put new ones on only 9 months prior that they should be responsible to replace them. They never worked right, I told that to Glen the day they went on. They do not care that they lost a customer that has spent anywhere from 400 to 2000 dollars a year there from 2017-2024. They do not care, that they lost a reliable steady customer because they would not validate that what they were doing to me was wrong. On my last visit, I didn't get the inspection on my car with my oil change, my car was there for 5 hours. I questioned it, Holle said they didn't do the inspection. She gave me an appointment to come back, she had the gall to ask me in a way as if I was bothering her when I came back, "what do you want done here today". She should be ashamed of herself, they didn't do what they were supposed to do and had the nerve to question me about an appointment she made for me. I walked out, I'll get it done elsewhere. My son asked me to not go back there anymore after they charged me 160 dollars each for 3 tires, I had the same exact make and model tire replaced 6 months prior while I was at my son's house by his mechanic for 114 dollars. When I told this to Holle, she said, "the price went up do to the pandemic". It wouldn't go up that much. It wasn't the pandemic, it was either greed or something unknown to me. I'm so sorry I didn't listen to my son, I would have saved myself a lot of aggravation, time and money.

Negative experience: Gave me a quote of 2900 after I had just got repairs there two weeks prior for 2600...didn't honor ant guarantee from them and are a straight ripoff.....I ended up getting Mt car fixed down thw street for 300 buckw....DO NIR GO TO RHIS PLACE ....STAY VERY FAR AWAY.

Negative experience: I typically don't leave bad reviews. But lack of response from ownership does not sit well with me. Based on other reviews, this place doesn't seem to care about resolving customer concerns as they give the typical automated response.They are an upsell business with no regard for integrity. I have reached out to the corporate office 2 weeks later and still no response from them or shop manager. The next step will be to file in small claims court.

Negative experience: It’s really ironic that I originally went there for a front end alignment and oil change,car ran well first day after that kind of funny my front end of car was shaking so called them back to check what they did because my car didn’t shake until I got it back from them,so now I’m told that my engine mount was no good had to be replaced.at first call 199.00 then later same day they called back said they got wrong part and the price is now 379.00 so I told them fix my car so next day I get a call that a bolt that was loose had to be drilled out and was told that it would take more labor I would have to pay more,told them just fix my car this bolt was something they did and I have to pay,they are the worst.please save yourself a headache. I’m a retired law enforcement officer have no reason to fabricate anything,I will never go back there after I get my car back, will go to my family auto on rt.88 in brick they are the real deal. This place is the worst.desk people are friendly just to get you in.

Positive experience: Paid over $230 for transmission service. All they did was open the drain plug, drain 4 quarts (holds 8 quarts) and put 4 quarts of new fluid back. No filter change. Expected then to drop the pan, drain all the fluid, and replace the filter.

Negative experience: had work done to my 2001 truck to replace ball joints. control arms and tie rods cost me little over $2400 Mavis and point borough was into the same job for $1800. should never listen to other people. told the girl on the phone she said to have Mavis in point borough send her and email to show proof and they would match the price I guess she is calling me a liar. i not happy at all. never use them again

Negative experience: I have been going to this location for the past 6+ years. It really has changed, but not for the better. From booking through the call center, which by the way, I’ve never had to do before to the customer service provided at the location. The gentleman told me that transportation would be provided for me. It was not, so I had to Uber 2 times for that oil change. When I talked to the manager Glenn he explained that transportation rules have changed and they only provide it for a job that will take over three hours. Since Glenn told me me it would be just an hour I decided to come out of pocket and paid over $30 in fares. Thank God I didn’t listen to Glenn about the hour wait, because it took nearly 3 hours. When I came back to get my car I was speaking to Glenn, another customer came up behind me and I was brushed aside and he dealt with him. I asked if he had a special VIP card? And Glenn said no. Holly, the manager has always been amazing and I love working with her. Not sure if I will be returning back after this experience. Since my last review, things got worse. I went in for an oil change, tire rotation, and an alignment. They completed the oil change and the tire rotation but said my car was a little to dirty to do the alignment, even though it was already paid for. When I left I had several sensors going off including my hood latch with just continuously dings as I’m driving, my attempted theft sensor which causes my alarm to go off when the car is off. My ABS system sensor is going off as well. My car is veering extremely hard to the right. They told me to take it to Cadillac and if they can prove that it was their fault they would reimburse me for it. I went to the highest level of management that I could and gentleman said that I should take my business somewhere else and said they would send me a check for the alignment. Disappointed is an understatement. To be treated like this as a customer was atrocious. Amazing how some company’s will treat their loyal customers. I would highly recommend not using this location.

Negative experience: Customer service was great, Holly the manager was very nice to us. However, they gave us an invoice for almost 2k worth of UNNECESSARY services. They wanted to change out the tires (which were replaced 6 months ago, tread was like new still), recommend that engine air filter be replaced (it was not even remotely dirty when we checked it ourselves). The real issue was the fact that they tried to rip us off by charging us $980 to replace the front and rear brake pads and rotors. We chose to do it ourselves and we ended up saving a tremendous amount of money. This place had NO right to try and rip us off.

Fantastic experience: My first time using AAA in Brick. My husband and I needed to obtain an international driving permit (IDP) for our upcoming trip to Germany. Some overseas rental car agencies require the IDP at pickup. We got to the AAA location about 45 minutes before closing on a Friday. Very few customers at that time. We were done within 20 minutes...passport pictures taken for IDP & our completed IDP. The staff member who processed our IDP applications was very pleasant and professional. A very rude customer came in while the staff member was in the middle of waiting on us (30 mins. to closing) and became highly impatient after waiting just 5 minutes for the only travel agent in the office to finish up with their customer. Our staff member had let the travel agent know that she had a walk-in customer, but that wasn't enough for this lady. She demanded service immediately for a trip to Rome without having an appointment or even calling beforehand. My husband wanted to put that lady in her place because she was being so rude to the staff member who was waiting on us yet the staff member demonstrated great restraint and remained professional. I wish we had gotten this staff member's name (my husband believes her name is Angela). We visited the Brick location on 6/9/23 around 5:15pm and would like to let AAA know how great the staff were at this location. We will definitely be back to this AAA location for our future needs!

Fantastic experience: If I was able to give Adam 6 stars, I would do it right away. He gave new meaning to the word customer service. He went above and beyond to find me the most affordable rate, even after I switched up the purchased vehicle 5 times. He was very patient, rationale, and reasonable when dealing our family and I will not buy any type of insurance from anyone else in the future...Adam even was able to adjust the effective date to reflect a Sunday purchase and even called us the morning of to ask if we needed anything else from him. Buy you car or renters' insurance from Adam Weiss. There's certain professions such as an electrician or a plumber, that once you find someone you trust, you keep, and I found mine for car insurance, and it Adam at AAA. Highly recommend

Negative experience: If I could give this place no stars I would! The did an oil change and didn’t put the cap back on my car. It leaked to where there was no oil in the tank. The new manager Glenn gave me two free oil changes. I just went to get my last oil change and out of no where I had a nail in my tire. There wasn’t air leaking and I have had 3 nails in my tire and I had to constantly put air in my tire. Sad to say I know for a fact this was purposely done. I was a great customer there but will not be going back! EVER SINCE STEVEN HAS LEFT THAT PLACE HAS WENT INTO THE WHOLE! The blond lady also isn’t professional at all. Didn’t want to work with me and just had an attitude. I am so Unpleased with the whole situation. Disgusting

Negative experience: Very disappointed with their pricing.Gave me an estimate of over $2400 to replace PCM on Ford Explorer.Ford Dealer estimated the same job to be $1250.Online estimates are between $900 and $1200 at current rates.

Fantastic experience: They were very nice and very helpful.. I booked a round trip ticket for my Granddaughter. To come home from college for Thanksgiving from an airport n state I was not familiar with. They found me the best travel days n cheapest price including a window seat! There are huge price differences depending on day n time around this busy travel holiday. They saved me $800. Just by switching one day n time!

Negative experience: I brought my car in as I am a AAA member. I had two tires replaced, a ball joint and oil change with wheel alignment. The technician didn't fix the noise in my car. It got louder after my service. 3 weeks later , the tire rod totally came apart. Had to call tow truck . The result was the technician didn't put together the tire rod and , I could have died. I have kids and I travel for work. So, it could have been life threatening that I lost control of my steering and tire lopped off. The AAA took full responsibility. Said they would fix for free and apologized repeatedly. I had to rent a rental car in which they said I would be reimbursed for. Long story short, they never fixed my car fully. Still makes very loud noise. They didn't have paperwork on what they actually fixed. And still to date I haven't been reimbursed for the car rental. I've emailed, called and have spoke to customer service. I get no reply via email or phone call. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! AND IM A AAA MEMBER!

Negative experience: Took my used car here in October for tune up oil change and new tires, . So now in March I returned for just an oil change and was told once again I needed new tires, I declined the service and realized I still have still have decent tread on the tires. I'm sure there will be a reply to this but truly don't care. I will be getting future oil changes someplace else, .

Fantastic experience: After hitting a pothole on the parkway and having no choice but turn off at the first exit, I was lucky to roll into this AAA car care center. My membership most likely lapsed, but the woman at the front desk was so kind and offered the mechanic to change my tire with my spare at no charge. The mechanic made sure all the other tires pressures were okay and informed me of how low my treads are. I'm way overdue on getting new tires and they gave me a very informative and helpful estimate. I was able to get to work much faster than if I had tried to change the tire myself and was happy with how professional and generous they were. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: AAA in brick was amazing !!! My car been in and out the shop 3 times for the same thing. Finally decided to go to AAA. For the first time . And my service was amazing !! Mechanics did a wonderful job. My car is fixed after 3 times with a different shop. The manager HOLLY was so sweet and so amazing !! She helped me with the cost. My total was a-little over 900$ she got it done to a-little under 400$ to help me out !! I will be a valued customer from here on out. If I could give 100000 stars I would !!!

Negative experience: Had a wheel alignment done last week. Told it would take about 45 minutes and they would do a health inspection free. Called me 30 minutes later and listed that I need new windshield wipers, a new battery, new air filters, and fluid flushes totaling about $500. Respectfully declined because I know those are all fine on my car and could easily do any of them myself for about $20 each. Then after driving my car home I realized it’s pulling to the right. They called me the next day to ask about my service and I told them it’s pulling to the right still. They told me to come back in. Finally had time to come in today and they took about an hr this time, said it was pulling to the right, they fixed it and test drove it to test it out and make sure it was correct. Picked it up back up. Now I’m not entirely convinced that it’s fixed all the way, I have to drive it around more to really see if it’s all the way straight. It is improved from what it was before. But I can’t help but wonder what were they doing the first time that it wasn’t aligned correctly (or possibly at all) to begin with? Spent more time quoting me overpriced services I didn’t need than actually fixing the issue. Not sure I trust this place or would go back again. It was a cheaper alignment than the dealership ($90 with a membership discount) but could probably get better service at a reputable shop for a similar price.

Positive experience: Actually really nice people and mechanics are really good at what they do. I highly recommend for all small or maintenance jobs. Anything pretty big, they are extremely overpriced and would save the time to go somewhere else.

Negative experience: Other than oil changes i will never bring my cars here. Their estimate was $1100 more than other ones that I received. I had a brake booster that needed replacing... only to find out from another service station that the brake booster was a recall. Furthermore the first time that I brought it there I made mention of the brakes being soft... they said nothing was wrong... second time that I brought it there they confirmed that there was something wrong with the brakes. So again other than oil changes I will never bring my vehicle there again

Negative experience: I brought my car in and they tried to sell me and told me they were giving me a discount of 150 discount on my breaks because I was previously a customer there like I wasn’t in the sales business lol . I brought my vehicle to a different shop and they charged me only 450 for my admission system leak and breaks compared to 800 for just brakes. This place is not trustworthy and I don’t recommend getting any work done here .

Fantastic experience: I had to have my boyfriend's truck towed in because he accidentally broke a brake line while do doing a brake job at home. Anthony and Steven at the front counter were very polite and helpful. My technician George replaced the broken line and also noticed that we had installed the new front calipers on the wrong sides (a by-product of frustration and not paying attention after breaking the line). He corrected the problem and was very courteous and professional. Thanks for all your help!

Negative experience: The price I was given was extremely high. I contacted a few places in the same area & was given reasonable prices & told that the triple AAA mechanic lied about certain problems with my car. After having my car towed to another shop, My car was fixed the next day from another for 20% of what AAA tried charging me. I was also upset about paying$ 67-$68 just to check my car & I’m a AAA plus member. The other mechanic didn’t charge me anything to check my car. After contacting the AAA1800 number I was asked why I wanted to have my car towed to another shop & after discussing my concerns I was told some shops overcharge & are investigated. The representative also said paying almost $70 to check the car was unacceptable. The guy that gave me my keys & completed my paperwork seemed upset once I changed my mind about getting my car fixed. He was rude & didn’t communicate with me as he did when I first got to the shop. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The good reviews are most likely fake or the customer got lucky. The atmosphere was not happy, no one spoke as customers entered etc.
