Fantastic experience: Audrey was very helpful in planning our recent family trip to Mexico. We were traveling internationally with young kids for the first time and have multiple food allergies to consider. Audrey did an incredible job finding us the perfect resort, checking and re-checking with the them to make sure we would be taken care of and could eat safely, and following up with us throughout. She also walked us through the passport process for the kids and gave us lots of tips and tricks for travel. We had the most wonderful vacation thanks to her and look forward to using her again in the future.

Fantastic experience: Let me begin by saying that I have chosen Legacy Travel before. I had a restful babymoon with my husband years ago when we relaxed in Mexico. So I thought I would call on Legacy again for a special occasion: my [redacted, LOL!] birthday. Iceland was on my bucket list. I dreamed to witness the Northern Lights. Our agent, Audrey, talked with us to get our vibe for the trip and then came up with an itinerary. We were initially so excited to go! But then… I was skeptical about aspects of my trip to Iceland: What would the weather be (would we even make it out of Dallas)? Would I be able to sleep soundly in the middle of Reykjavik? How would I be received as a Black woman? Would I be able to eat without going bankrupt? Would I even see the Northern Lights? I had begun to seriously doubt my commitment to turning [redacted] in the land of fire and ice. When we were able to escape from DFW despite the threat of ice storms and 13-degree weather, I started to join Audrey in her confidence that all would be well. For Black women like me who are concerned with how their Black bodies will be treated in Iceland: I felt safe and even cared for. I think racism is everywhere, but I felt quite a reprieve there, and I was neither gawked at nor shunned. Just engaged with as a fellow human. Since favor ain’t fair, the sun followed me the entire time in Iceland and it was far warmer than home. Even when it was cloudy and misty with cold rain, I witnessed the Northern Lights in all their glory. Our spartan yet spotless hotel was nestled in the heart of the very walkable city of Reykjavik, and the included breakfast shielded our wallets from further damage (because food in Iceland IS absolutely expensive—but soooo good. I will dream of the pastries from Sandholt and the homey seafood dishes at Messinn and Mar). Audrey worked with us so that we had times of rest and exploration of the city, and times of excursion. We witnessed the Northern Lights and I cried. It was spectacular. Everything I had hoped for. We went to the Blue Lagoon for my birthday, which was fascinating and relaxing. It was busy, but not overcrowded. As a stretch, I requested we go snowmobiling and visit an ice cave (if I could have a do-over, I would have opted to do this at the Golden Circle, but this was still cool). IT WAS EXHILARATING! What a privilege to zoom through the beautiful desolation of a harsh tundra that, if left to my own devices, would absolutely kill me. It was exciting, humbling, enlivening. My cousin went on the trip with my husband and I because she’s my bestie, and we also scheduled time at our sister-hotel’s spa (Center Hotel Grandi) for a full body massage, and post snowmobiling, decided to relax at Sky Lagoon for their Ritual, and had the distinct pleasure of soaking in warm waters as the flurries of the evening landed delicately on our lashes. Audrey’s work made our trip unforgettable in the best way. I LOVED IT. The term that keeps coming up for me is "blessed." It was a blessed trip. Audrey’s work and attention set the environment for a life-giving travel experience. My birthday was so memorable. We are in love with Iceland.

Fantastic experience: This company is wonderful to deal with. Jill is so amazing! It’s very important to her to meet the wants and needs of her clients. She planned an excellent cruise for my boyfriend and I on the Royal Caribbean. We had a wonderful time! I realized that I’m not the hugest fan of the water, but the experience was still great! Last year Jill planned a wonderful trip for my friends and I. We went to Jamaica, and it was epic. I want Jill to plan all of my trips moving forward. I can’t wait for the next.

Fantastic experience: I worked with Ken McIlduff for my honeymoon vacation. It was such an amazing experience!!! Ken was helpful to educate me on locations and help narrow down choices. Fantastic experience: We had an amazing experience booking our Cancún getaway! Our travel agent, Yesenia Rodriguez, was communicative, caring, and incredibly informative. She even found us a better deal at a better resort, Secrets Moxché Playa del Carmen—hands down the best decision we made. Fantastic experience: Jill at Legacy Travel provided us with the best service possible. We had the trip of a lifetime and all of the arrangements were seamless. We had a world class guide for our private tour to Guernica and her choice of hotels in both Bilbao and Pamplona were top tier and provided the perfect setting for us to enjoy our trip. The balcony reservation for my wife to watch me do the Running of the Bulls was perfect as the host was very gracious and took care of everyone so they had a prime viewing experience. Our private drivers were very personable and provided valuable insights relating to the area that enriched our trip even more. Fantastic experience: Hello to all. My husband and I had the most amazing trip last month and all thanks to Katie. She worked with us tailoring the trip and went beyond the expectation to make sure we were happy with the itinerary. Fantastic experience: Lesley Stone with Legacy Travel did a SPECTACULAR job planning our trip to Greece! Every hotel, restaurant, and excursion was 5 Star and treated us with VIP service! We cannot thank Lesley enough for all of her help planning every detail of our trip to Athens, Santorini and Mykonos! Both of our hotels in Santorini and Mykonos upgraded our rooms with our own private pools and incredible views of the ocean complimentary. Each day we had fun excursions booked (Winery tours, catamaran tours, Private VIP tour of the acropolis, reservations at the Beach Clubs, etc). I am so thankful she coordinated all of our reservations as the islands start to get busy with busy season (May - August). This was a once in a lifetime trip to Greece and we highly recommend booking with Legacy with a seamless trip!

Fantastic experience: If you want and need Safe, secure solo trips then look no further! This is the place! I took my first solo birthday trip to DR and I am already planning another one! Hannah did an excellent job walking me through the entire process. Then to top it off someone contacted me the day before to see if I had questions or concerns. But wait, it gets better… the owner if the company checked on me via email during my trip see if everything was ok! I am amazed at their diligence in making sure clients are taken care of every step of the way! I loved that Hannah has actually been to the places that she suggested. Fantastic experience: After five years of only going on family vacations, my husband and I decided that we wanted a vacation to ourselves. We reached out to Legacy Travel, and told our agent exactly what we were looking for. When she sent over three options, we didn’t even have to look past the first. It was perfect! Two months after we booked our agent left Legacy travel, and we were notified that we would have a new agent. Yesenia, our new agent was Amazing! She was attentive, available and accommodating to our many questions. We would highly recommend booking through Legacy travel, and specifically, Yesenia!

Negative experience: Terrible experience from beginning to end. I’ve used legacy travel for several years for birthday trips and I always use Alyssa. Alyssa was amazing. She was very hands on, organized, and very knowledgeable about the places I wanted to travel to. I had nothing but great experiences with her. It’s been a couple of years since I’ve used this agency due to the pandemic so unfortunately when I called them in April 2023 to help me plan a bachelorette trip, Alyssa was no longer working there. So the agency paired me with Ken. Ken has made planning this bachelorette trip so very hard. And honestly, I might as well have just planned the entire trip myself. From mixing up peoples payments, to not answering the phone, to not even being in the office. This was a huge party that started off with 18 girls so I was sure to ask if this was something he thought could handle and he reassured me he could. However this was not the case. He always sounded stressed out, overwhelmed, or like I was bothering him. The information and communication given was always unclear and caused chaos and confusion within the group. He constantly mixed our names up and messed up our payments. In the midst of this already chaotic process with him, Life happened and Unfortunately 9 girls had to drop out the trip after paying deposits which was no issue because everyone was aware of the risk that came with that payment. But Ken was making it such a hassle to rearrange things. Mind you, our trip was scheduled for January 2024. So there was plenty of time to make changes. None of this was last minute. The worst part about this experience was that after our final payments were made, we see that Ken has booked us at the wrong resort IN THE WRONG CITY! The trip was shooosed to be in Montego Bay however he booked us in Negril. 8 whole months of planning a trip and talking about it only to find out he booked us at the wrong place. We already had excursions planned and everything. Absolutely devastating news. When we called him to tell him he said that the beaches were nicer in Negril. Anyway, we explained to him that this was not good and he told us there was nothing he can do. I called and talked to the owners of this agency as well and they also were of no help especially because now our trip is less than 8 weeks away. They did not even offer us any thing like transportation services or any way to help remedy this situation or show remorse. It’s as if they could care less. I say all this to say, if you want a very stressful experience or if you want to be frustrated and plan your entire trip by yourself then go ahead and use them but if you don’t I would stay very far away from using this service.
Fantastic experience: Karis and her team have helped us plan two wonderful trips now and I cannot underline enough how lovely her expertise and help has been. We, like everyone, else are very busy and really needed a vacation but didn’t have the time or mental bandwidth to plan one. Karis gave us great options within our parameters and both resorts have been 10/10. Thanks so much, we’re excited for the next trip and will be calling Karis again!

Negative experience: I had a good experience here until KEN MCILDUFF was handling this trip we just got back from. Needless to say i will NOT be doing business with Legacy Travel anymore. He made a mistake and refused to take accountability for it, causing more time wasted because he doesnt know how to pay attention to details, or the information right in front of him. It was a mess dealing with the airline because he put in the DOB incorrectly. He then made SEVERAL promises that he didnt keep. Multiple times he said he would call me within a certain time, never happened, never got emailed what he said he would email us. The saddest part is he gave my wife attitude when he was the one in the wrong. The moment the trip was paid for the issues started, so basically one he got paid out on whatever he made from us, he didnt seem to care at all about what he messed up on. Unnecessary time wasted due to him, attitude from him to my wife. Im sure others here are good, but if you get assigned KEN MCILDUFF, take your money elsewhere, he doesnt care to stand by his own word and play victim when he was the one in the wrong.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I just returned from a 13 day tour of Rome Florence Paris and London! Negative experience: I worked with Audrey at Legacy Travel, she was nice but we had to pay her $100 for her to send a couple snip it’s of some resorts in areas we specifically asked her to stay away from. I asked for a revised quote with the areas we would like, and she never sent them. I feel like she just didn’t have the time to spend to put together a quote based on my families wants.I did mention I wanted something fun for everyone, but please not to include Cancun, she completely disregarded our request and added cancun resorts… because she thought they would be better for us. She told me the company is going through changes and this is the reason for a delay, if this were the case why did she even help me in the first place. I basically donated my $100 to this company and no time at all was spent helping us find what we were looking for.

I am unable to find where Audrey said anything about any changes in our company. Additionally, Audrey spent a long time speaking to you about your requirements and as far as I can see, she did respond promptly and did the best possible to fulfill each of them. As far as including Cancun, yes she did include one Cancun property amongst all of the quotes she provided because she felt it well suited the rest of your requirements and she just wanted you to be aware of it. Fantastic experience: Jill was very knowledgeable and helped us plan the most amazing trip to Venice, Florence and Rome. Since this was the first time we travelled to Europe, we were a little nervous. The trip went so smoothly. All the guides were amazing. The only situation we had is I ended up sick, and had to cancel our tour to Tuscany. Jill helped us thru it and we ended up going on another day. I highly recommend Jill and Legacy Travel. Negative experience: Such a shame. Used them before and they were so helpful and I always want to support a small business. However now they charge a fee up front before they will even give you pricing options. Maybe best just to use web engines in future.

Negative experience: I spoke to an agent and told her exactly what I was looking for. I was told they had access to exclusive rates on airfare, hotel, and excursions. Paid the consultant fee, and when I received the proposal I was extremely disappointed. It’s like she didn’t listen to me at all. On top of that, the package was extremely expensive. I ended up booking my own trip through United Vacations which saved me $2K less and a much smaller down payment. There was also no follow up. Haven’t heard back from them since the proposal.

Fantastic experience: Jill Dobson with Legacy Travel is amazing. I called the office in June very eager to go to London, UK and Dublin, Ireland, but was unsure of traveling alone. Finally after many calls to Jill and lementing over traveling alone, Jill's encouragement and guidance helped me make the decision to go. I'm so glad I did, I had a phenomonal time. Negative experience: This agency is the worst travel agency, their customer service is terrible. Our travel agent was Jill Dodson who cost us thousands of dollars more than if we had booked ourselves. We went to the agency to book a cruise to the Mediterranean, along with airfare, transfers and a hotel in Rome for one night. Jill apparently was leaving herself on a cruise the next day and after booking the cruise, said she would book air and other services upon her return one week later. That week cost us thousands of dollars more in airfare. Then she came back with costs for transfers and one night hotel in room more expensive than the cruise itself. The transfer company left us at the Airport in Rome, they were 2 hours late to pick us up at the cruise dock, and just did not pick us up at all at the hotel to come home. To this day, Jill has not refunded our transfer money. Save your time and money and book yourself.
Hello, Mr. Fierro! Although this is the first time anyone in management is hearing of any issue, we did go back and review your travel arrangements. We do see where your wife agreed to everything that was booked including the pricing. I understand that the transfer that didn't show up was refunded back in July. Perhaps check your credit card statement for that credit. I'm sorry your trip didn't go like you would have wanted and wish you well in the future.

Misled on so many levels and lied to!!! Once I spoke to the owner and she was so rude and unhelpful!! I ended up calling Funjet vacations and they were able to help me and get my trip straightened out!!! NEVER AGAIN!!

Negative experience: Initial contact with Legacy Travel was everything anyone should expect and I had my vacation planned and fully booked quickly. Just don’t count on them being there if anything goes wrong. In my case the flight to Hawaii had mechanical trouble and United Airlines couldn’t come up with a way to get me to Hawaii, to board my 12 day Hawaii and French Polynesia cruise. I tried to contact Legacy via phone and email, but there was no response. Legacy Travel took a company vacation, leaving me with no help. My flight was on May 19 and they finally emailed back on May 23. Had it not been for a close friend, who travels extensively, my two week vacation would have been a failure. I understand about taking vacations. Even worked for a company that did week long company vacations, but we hired temp staff to answer phones, monitor email and when needed interrupt the vacation, to take care of our customers.

Negative experience: My dealings with this agency has been going on since October 2020 and recently ended September 2021. 11 months and my experience was less than super. I was signed up by Legacy Travel with Apple Vacations (without my knowledge) and was VERY limited on where I could go and what I could use my funds on which was EXTREMELY frustrating. I was unable to go to Jamaica for my 30th bday due to circumstances outside of my control so my trip protection kicked in leaving me with a $1600+ credit with the agency. The rest of 2021 and my attempts to utilize my hard earned money was a nightmare. The most recent experience was when I was invited to a trip to Mexico in Aug 2021. I was told I couldn't use my travel credit to Playa Mujeres because it was not compatible with Apple Vacations. That is just one example of disappointments I endured while using this agency. I ended up going through Blissful Honeymoons Travel agency to go to Mexico and for half the cost. Contact Mia for best assistance! My Legacy travel agent (whom I will not mention to save her dignity) seemed helpful in 2020 when all payments were completed but after the fact she didn't seem to care if I went anywhere at all, never explained anything in detail, nor provided deals and savings, but reminded me by the end of this year 2021, if not used, all monies would go to the agency. I will NEVER use this agency again. I finally went on a trip to AZ end of Sept and I basically planned it myself - it was pointless to have a travel agent at all. I pray others find value in this agency && do not share my poor customer experience. My ultimate wish is that others that choose Legacy are treated with kindness, respect, and are actually HELPED.

" I was signed up by Legacy Travel with Apple Vacations (without my knowledge)" During the phone call when you booked your initial trip (October 19, 2020 at 3:46pm) you were indeed told that your package was through Apple Vacations. 2. "VERY limited on where I could go and what I could use my funds on" Apple Vacations" Apple Vacation serves the Caribbean, Mexico, Central and South America, Hawaii, the Continental United States, Europe and the South Pacific. While there are certainly some hotels they don't contract with, I don't think anyone could call these options VERY limited. 3. " I was told I couldn't use my travel credit to Playa Mujeres because it was not compatible with Apple Vacations. " It is true that the hotel you requested for your trip to Playa Mujeres not one of the 59 hotels Apple Vacations has in Playa Mujeres / Cancun. 4. "My Legacy travel agent (whom I will not mention to save her dignity) seemed helpful in 2020 when all payments were completed but after the fact she didn't seem to care if I went anywhere at all" Here are some quotes from emails that you sent to Karis in 2021, well after your payments were complete: "Hi Karis, the best, most patient travel agent in the WORLD!" "I always enjoy working with you" 5. Regarding your travel credit: Because your traveling companion on your original trip completely ghosted you after you had paid the deposit on her behalf, the travel credit was supposed to actually be split between the two travelers on the original booking. Karis worked tirelessly on your behalf to enable you to use the entire credit yourself because she felt it wasn't right for you to be penalized based on your friend. In fact, Legacy Travel called in a favor with Apple Vacations to make this happen. We are delighted that you have found another travel agency who can serve your travel needs in the future.
Fantastic experience: The staff at Legacy Travel (Alyssa,Cathi,Lori)did a superb job in handling the Destination Weddings of my friend and her sister's wedding at Finest Playa Mujeres,Mexico.They were very thorough from beginning to end. Itinerary detailed everything! Transportation, hotel amenities, staff, well maintained grounds, security, and fine selection of cuisine did not disappoint. Actually got a follow up call from Legacy Travel staff to see if everything went well and enjoying our stay. Could not ask for a better experience!

Three years ago when you worked with one of our advisors, after going over a multitude of options, she suggested that every possible option had been presented to you and that you should go ahead and make a choice. You did make a choice and you went on your trip. Then recently you reached out about another trip. In the initial contact you said "last time I did not have the most pleasant experience with your agent". Nevertheless I put you in touch with one of my most senior advisors. One of your first comments to her was "Last trip was not that great from Legacy". As life is too short for you to work with a company with whom you have obviously been unhappy, my advisor suggested that you should look for a company who would be a better experience for you. I am sorry that Legacy was not that company and I wish you well in the future.
Negative experience: This travel agent might be able to book simple flights but forget about asking them to assist with a longer trip including tours. The agent spent 2 weeks looking for flights to and from Europe before even thinking about if they would work with the ground itinerary. then, another two weeks of back and forth with the details. By the time she was close to figuring out the ground trip, many of the accommodations were no longer available and she offered some downgraded places. There was little transparency to what she was to planning and after 4 painful weeks of trying to get the trip planned, I finally lost faith in her ability to get this done. Very disappointing. I would not use this travel agent.

Katie was frequently in touch with you as documented in her notes: 3 nights Santorini 3 nights Crete hotels must have bar, good restaurants cruise Nile, see Valley of the Kings - before Greece flights from DFW 4/20 - sent docusign 4/26 - sent email letting Glenn know we don't have any Nile River cruises, asked if he wants to see Greece alone to start 4/28 - sent first proposal 4/29 - sent follow up email answering Glenn's questions, asked if he wants guides at any point 5/4 - spoke with Travelive, have them working on proposal 5/6 - waiting on Travelive - sent first proposal 5/7 - spoke with Glenn and he's going to review the proposal this weekend and get back to me on Monday 5/11 - spoke with Glenn briefly, asked if he would like to schedule a call for today to review proposal 5/14 - spoke with Glenn, we're updating itinerary and getting it back to him today 5/17 - spoke with Glenn and the second couple wants to join them in Egypt - emailed Travelive - sent updated proposal for Egypt 5/18 - sent follow up email asking if Glenn likes itinerary, wants to make any changes

Negative experience: We coordinated our destination wedding travels through legacy travel. What initially started off as a great experience quickly turned awful upon arriving at our destination. After our wedding date changed due to COVID-19 we were notified that we would receive a pretty large reimbursement that could be used for room upgrades, an alternate trip, or excursions while on our trip. We specifically stated that we did not want an upgraded room, as our original room was beautiful, and more importantly we would be traveling with many family and friends (many of whom reported a pushy, and all around not great experience with Legacy Travel as well) and would not be spending much time in our room. We instead opted to spend our money on excursions and use whatever was remaining to plan our next trip. This was communicated to our travel agent several times by both my husband and myself. We had several hiccups with transportation that was supposed to be booked by legacy, but somehow wasn’t. The resort blamed our travel agent and our travel agent blamed the resort. Who knows! As the bride, I was literally getting calls to my room 5 mins before walking down the aisle about travel arrangements that NEEDED to be arranged that moment or we wouldn’t be able to leave for our honeymoon the following day. The resort consistently said things weren’t communicated to them. My mother and maid of honor eventually stepped in and coordinated a correction with the resort and travel agent. All of this occurring MOMENTS before I walked down the aisle. My wedding coordinator even became upset on our behalf. I could’ve looked past all of this. But the following day, as my husband and I were at the honeymoon resort we were told we had no remaining money left for excursions. Confused we pulled up the confirmation email that stated we had well over $800 in credits. We got in touch with our travel agent who texted us and said she “made an executive decision” to upgrade our room. We spoke back and forth, clearly VERY upset. Our travel agent offered several excuses, and continued to argue with us. She offered no real apology or correction. All which is documented in text messages. My husband and I were outraged and completely felt scammed out of OUR money with absolutely no consent, or even notice. I have never in my life written a negative review for ANY company, but our wedding was over a month ago and my husband, family and I still can’t get over the entire experience. As a social worker at a non-profit I truly believe that most people have good intentions. We’ve gone over it time and time again and I believe that our travel agent acted in a sneaky way in order to get a higher commission. Again, highly upset. We will never again use Legacy Travel, and based on this experience I doubt we will ever use a travel agent again.
Hello Madeline, Thank you for your recent feedback. We've been helping people for over 30 years, so for you to feel the need to post such a review is obviously troubling to us. Please allow us the opportunity to set the record straight. When your mother Marleine reached out to Terrah in July of 2019 to assist with your destination wedding she was excited and happy to make it the best experience humanly possible. She has assisted hundreds of happy brides and was eager for you to be counted among them. Over the next 8 months she handled each guest with the utmost care, meeting all of their requests and answering all of their questions. Things were going smoothly until Covid-19 hit which caused turmoil everywhere. I'm told you were a trooper and told Terrah you wanted to "rebook the wedding for as soon as it was possible" so she immediately got to work on starting the long and detailed process. She worked with each guest to answer all of their questions. Each revision required an average of three hours on hold working with Apple Vacations and she was able to get everyone moved over without a penny more of additional cost to anyone. Legacy Travel, of course, waived all of our normal change fees so these hours were free of charge and we were happy to do it. Early on in the rebook process, Apple Vacations came out with a program called Rebook, Recharge. Terrah discovered a few members of your group may qualify for this bonus so she got to work on filling out forms for each member. On June 26th, she did email you about your credits and asked to "Please call me at your earliest convenience for I'd love to chat about some fun ways to use your credits." We have no record of hearing from you about how to use the trip credit. We did hear from you and Chance both numerous times with questions about cancelling due to pandemic concerns including the delay of Chance's passport. Since Terrah hadn't heard from you, she kept an eye out for a Master Suite to become available at the wedding hotel. When one did become available, she upgraded you with the knowledge that if you let her know you wanted to spend that credit on something else, she could switch you back with no problem. The options for that trip credit were things that could be a part of your Apple Vacations booking...like a room upgrade or an offsite excursion in destination. Because it had to be used as part of the Apple Vacations reservation, it was something that needed to be nailed down prior to departure. Two weeks before your trip, Chance called to ask about alternatives in changing the trip due to non receipt of his passport. Once the coast was finally clear with that, Terrah sent out the finalized rooming lists to the hotel management, ground operating team and you. Regarding the transfer between hotels. On our end it did show confirmed, but evidently there was a snag between Apple Vacations and Amstar After spending hours on the phone with Apple Vacations During Travel Department to only discover they were not going to help, we took matters in our own hands and called in a favor to the manager of Amstar in Mexico to get the problem rectified with no further delay. My understanding is that your transfer did operate between hotels. I'm sorry that there was ever an issue. Please know that if we had been made aware of the issue, you would never have gotten that phone call. We were in communication throughout your trip so we thought all was going well. When you texted from UNICO asking about your excursion credit, it was clear there had been a breakdown in communication. Terrah probably should have insisted on an answer from you regarding the trip credit, but at the time, in the midst of so much back and forth, she felt like you had your hands full. Please be assured that no one "acted in a sneaky way in order to get a higher commission". Not a single penny over the standard Apple Vacations commission was added to your booking.

Negative experience: I'm extremely disappointed with the service Legacy Travel provided. My sister and I were planning a trip to London and Amsterdam for April. With a trip this big and expensive, I felt that it would be smarter to go through a travel agent just in case something were to go wrong. There seemed to be a lot of good reviews for this agency and I cannot speak to the other ladies who work there but we have not had a good experience. I started out working with one travel agent, who was young and seemed a little inexperienced but was extremely nice and helpful. She helped me pick out flights and hotels and we briefly discussed travel insurance. At that time, she said that travel insurance did not include cancelling for COVID-19. However the day that we booked our trip, she called to let me know that there was travel insurance available that would guarantee a full refund minus the cost of the insurance as long as we cancel within 24 hours of the trip. She stated that this includes cancelling for ANY reason including COVID-19. We booked the trip, paid for it, and were hopefully optimistic about it. Obviously, due to the COVID-19 outbreak this trip did not happen. When I reached out to cancel the trip, I was informed that our travel agent was no longer with the agency. I relayed the information to Catherine regarding our insurance and was informed that we would get a partial refund and then it would be our responsibility to file a claim with the travel insurance company to get the remaining amount. During our email exchange, Catherine did not seem interested in helping and it was only after asking why the travel agency did not file the claim for us that I was given the information to file the claim and contact information for the insurance company. We did not receive a full refund from the insurance company either. When I called to ask about that, I was informed that there were penalties that prevented us from getting the full refund and that this should have been explained to us at the time of booking. This has been relayed to the agency via email but I have not received a response. Anyone looking into this travel agency should know to read the fine print before paying for any trips. Either the original travel agent did not know about the penalties or didn't relay the information to me. Legacy Travel has not taken responsibility for this. Either way, we are now out a lot of money for a trip we didn't get to take. I'm very disappointed with the outcome and will not be back.
Fantastic experience: We have used Legacy Travel for the past ten years for our family vacations. We always know that we are going to be taken care of. They have always kept us informed on all needed information for all our vacations but this year it was appreciated so much more than in the past. With the pandemic of Covid 19 we needed to know that we were going to be safe on our travels. As usual they gave us all information that we needed and then some. We had a wonderful time and felt completely safe. The staff at the resort (El Dorado Maroma) took every precaution to make sure. It was a much needed and relaxing vacation. Negative experience: Alyssa was my travel agent. She was nice and gave me options on hotel resort and flight prices for our family’s first ski trip. As the trip got closer, Alyssa sent me the ski vouchers for my family. I was informed that the vouchers included everything we would need for skiing, such as the ski equipment, ski lift passes, and ski lessons for 1 day. I noticed my voucher had my named misspelled & the voucher for our 8 year old had a completely different name listed. I emailed Alyssa with the corrections and she apologized, corrected the names, and sent me a revised copy of the ski vouchers with all the names spelled correctly. I trusted the issue had been resolved. I went to the designated ski rental location to redeem our vouchers and to get everyone fitted for our skis. The cashier & manger did not see any valid vouchers in my name. The manager determine that a lady with a similar name spelling as mine was the only name in the system. Coincidentally the lady who had a similar name as mine showed to have 5 ski passes (5 were also in my party). When the manager showed me the ski identification cards for that lady, I noticed the name on one of the passes matched the name on the original voucher that Alyssa sent me which had our 8 year olds name completely wrong. The voucher confusion took approximately 4 hours and I also had to pay $1024 out of pocket so that my family could go skiing! That was money I did not plan on spending. After the trip, I notified Alyssa of the ski package issue and she told me she did not know why the vouchers were invalid and she was under the impression that the packages I pre-paid for included all the ski stuff and that she was going to forward my email to the ski supplier to get answers. She finally got back with me & told me that she misunderstood the ski supplier and did not know the ski lift passes and ski lessons were not included in the package I pre-paid for and that Legacy Travel could only reimburse me for the ski lift passes, as a courtesy, which totaled $210.00. This huge mistake almost ruined the entire ski trip! Again, Alyssa is a nice person, but the travel agency dropped the ball on this one: I did not expect a travel agency that’s been around a while to make a mistake like this.
Fantastic experience: I love legacy travel! I work with Audrey. She does a great job helping me and my guests. Main reason why i like going through a travel agent is because you can make payments at your own pace. Customer service is great, follow up is amazing so anytime I’m going out the country Audrey will be helping me!!

Fantastic experience: Our adventure with Legacy Travel began as far back as April as we got into the early stages of planning our big honeymoon to New Zealand which we only just returned from. Lesley worked with us from the very beginning and the process couldn’t have been easier as we gave a general outline of the things we wanted to see and do. Lesley corresponded with us regularly and within no time at all we had a full and thorough itinerary that covered all of our requests with some fun surprises we wouldn’t have thought to look for. Payment was very reasonable and with a lot of flexibility via increments at our own pace. Upon actually departing, we were able to check into our bookings for flights, tours, and hotels with no trouble at all. Not a single hiccup! This was our first time using a travel agency and we now see the appeal as the planning and coordination being removed from us took off so much stress! Lesley was consistently kind and thorough in working with us we couldn’t be more thankful for the entire experience. My wife and I now have memories that will last a life time thanks in no small part to the work Legacy Travel put into arranging it for us. Rest assured you’ll be in good hands if you choose them when going abroad!

Fantastic experience: At first I thought I could plan out our family trip to Maui myself but after trying to sift through all the lodging, activity companies, and dining, I decided to give Legacy travel a try.
