Fantastic experience: We stayed at Powder Ridge Cabin Oglala 2B over the summer and had in incredible time! 3 families fit perfectly here with room to spread out. The fire pit & hot tub were used every day and it was a quick bike ride down to the base area activities. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed and we loved sleeping with the windows open at night to keep things cool. Yellowstone was about an hour away which made the day trip very easy. Overall great trip and easy company to book with!

Fantastic experience: Several weeks ago my husband and I stayed for a long weekend in Big Sky. We went out for dinner in Big Sky and used Uber to schedule a ride to and from dinner. However, at the last minute, Uber canceled our ride. We were stuck! Our server overheard what was happening and shared that information with another guest in the restaurant, Colton, who happened to work at Big Sky Vacation Rentals! He knew exactly which rental we were staying at and drove us back up the mountain to our rental. We were so thankful! Big Sky Vacation Rentals clearly goes the extra mile for their guests. Fantastic experience: Amazing location. Literally walked out of garage onto the ski run down to the lift. Clean and updated cabin with incredible views. When not skiing we spent all our time in the main room with the fire going (Wood burning fireplace which was also a key feature). Kids loved taking a hot tub after skiing everyday. Hot tub was super clean and had a great view as well. All around good experience which we would recommend.

Fantastic experience: We stayed at 13 Oglala - absolutely incredible! The house was perfect - truly ski in, ski out! The place was plenty large for 2 couples and 5 extra friends. Very well equipped for large groups. The boot warmer was a game changer. There were instructions for everything. The management company responded to any question very quickly! Would absolutely stay again.

Fantastic experience: Very seamless experience from booking to check in for our stay in Big Sky. Very responsive to any questions, and no issues throughout the stay. Hot tub was cleaned and sanitized at our unit and snow was shoveled up to our front door when needed without asking. Cabin came with coffee and all the kitchen and laundry supplies needed for our stay. Will definitely book through BSVR again! Pro tip: place an order for prepared food through Orders Up! in Bozeman and pick it up on your way to Big Sky. You won’t regret it!

Fantastic experience: House was spacious and first class all around, and the ski-in ski-out location and proximity to the mountain village was perfect. Spent the majority of our time in the great room, which was really spectacular with its vaulted ceilings, plenty of seating including the sectional couch, and of course the direct view of Lone Mountain. Beds were extremely comfortable, and we all slept well. We will be back for sure!

Fantastic experience: Great cabin in a fantastic location! We stayed for a week of skiing. the ski access works well, gets you on the mountain quickly. The cabin is in a nice spot, with beautiful trees and nice views. The afternoon sun is best enjoyed in the hot tub! A real treat to stay in such a nice property for our vacation. Hosts are wonderful and responsive.

Fantastic experience: We stayed at the Red Feather Lodge. We have 20 people there and the place didn't feel cramped at all. Service was great and when we needed something, they responded and fixed the issue in a timely manner. The house was in a great location with lots to do and was even bigger and better in person from what we saw online. Highly recommend this company and this location.

Fantastic experience: Renting from BSVR was amazing! They made it easy from start to finish. The house looked exactly like the pictures, and BSVR provided all the details from preparing for our stay, accessing the unit upon arrival, and how to leave the property. The directions in their welcome email were very handy since we stayed at a newer property not yet on Google maps. They were responsive to all our questions, and made it super easy with a text message string for simple questions and requests. All the electronics had handy guides about how to use it (which was great since several television set-ups had cable tv and Roku options). We will definitely be renting from BSVR in the future when we return to the area. I highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: This is the second year in a row that we have stayed at Red Feather Lodge for our annual girls trip and it was amazing. The property was clean, beautiful, and very spacious, and we look forward to returning again for our next trip! The staff at Big Sky Vacation Rentals has always been quick to respond, via email or phone call, and they have always been very friendly and professional. We have stayed at 2 of their other properties in Big Sky and had good experience at them also!

Fantastic experience: We had an excellent experience working with Big Sky Rental. They were helpful and kept in communication with us to ease check-in, check-out and kept us up to date on current conditions around Big Sky. Our rental property Rosebud 9 was spacious, comfortable and truly a home away from home.

Fantastic experience: We had a July reservation with Summit Hotel for a Penthouse for my family of 11. They informed us that they were starting construction early and would no longer be honoring our reservation. First, don't ever stay with Summit. I called Big Sky after looking on VRBO and spent a VERY long time with reservation agent Jackson. She was AMAZING. Patient, answered all my questions which were many, professional and pleasant. At no time did she make me feel rushed. If everyone has the same quality of customer service as Jackson, I will HIGHLY recommend them. I hope the condo we rented is as good as Jackson.

Negative experience: Super staff, very responsive, wonderful place to stay, EXCEPT, there is a new parking lot and mechanical building beside the property, that has beeping snowmobiles in and out beginning at 5am every morning. Very loud with no chance of sleep. This is a new building that was not there two years ago. Cannot stay here again.

Fantastic experience: This review is LONGGGGG overdue. Back in March-when 2020 got serious....Big Sky Vacation rentals did our family and 6 other families in our group a huge solid and refunded us the majority of our rental due to the pandemic. They did not have to do this-we are grateful and hope to return to Big Sky someday! we will most definitely book with them again.

Fantastic experience: We visited Big Sky this summer for the first time for a much-needed getaway. Mike & Kirsten provided a fantastic summer experience. Their local insight helped us make the most of a new town; on their recommendations, we escaped the crowds to get the hidden mountain town experience. They were very responsive to all our concerns and worked proactively to ensure a smooth stay. I think this is Big Sky Vacation Rentals’ first time doing summer rentals and the experience was fantastic. I can only imagine how well they handle the ski season that they’ve been managing for years. Negative experience: My family has rented with BSVR before and has had positive experiences. However, everyone should know they just RAISED RATES (as of March 2020) on most if not all properties by 50%, yes that's correct, rate increases of 50%... Are they INSANE??? Now that we know what type of money hungry company we're dealing with, we most likely won't be renting from them again...

Fantastic experience: Unfortunately we had to cancel our ski trip to Big Sky Montana due to the COBID virus. Big Sky Vacation Rental has gone above and beyond to get us as much refund as possible!!!! We are VERY gratefully to Kristen and all her employees for caring about their customers. We will not hesitate to use Big Sky Vacation Rental again!!!

Positive experience: Overall, we were happy with our rental! We had an issue with the hot tub that couldn't be repaired on a short notice but were compensated. The staff was quick to reply with any questions or needs otherwise. We would return.

Fantastic experience: 7 of us decided to rent a house through BSVR for a week in february in Big sky about a half mile from the main ski village at big sky. 5 bedrooms 4 bathrooms, a garage, driveway big enough for 2 cars maybe 3. The house is as advertised. 2 large bedrooms on upper level with 2 baths. 2 bed rooms on living room level with 1 bath and large living room. 1 bedroom downstairs with multiple beds and a bathroom that can sleep 5 people and a pull out bed on a living room couch. back porch on the basement level has a nice hot tub. one gas fireplace downstairs, one wood burning fireplace upstairs in the main living room. multiple TVs with direct Tv channel lineup. Wifi works well. Kitchen well equipped with all the necessities. the first day i called about the gas fireplace downstairs, the manager came out to see if she could fix it herself since her repair guys were tied up. Thank you Sammie! i don't know if i've ever had a more prompt response from a rental agency. you can ski or board down to a lift without any trouble at all. it's off the White Otter lift/trail. it's easy to get back to at the end of the day also. best bet is riding up the Swift or explorer lift and then funnel down to white otter to get back to the neighborhood. it's just a quick walk to get on or off the trail. I would highly recommend this managment company for a rental if you want a nice place to stay at Big Sky. the downtown area of big sky is about 7 miles away. lots of good restaurants to hit

Negative experience: Rental property wasn’t clean, amenities missing, no arrival service as represented, known defective garage code as only access to property, completely false & misleading website representations regarding ski trail access, known irregular/untimely snowplowing of road preventing further ski access. When tried to get company to address problems or compensate for losses, owners Kristen & Mike never replied. This is not a reputable lodging company - avoid like the plague.

Fantastic experience: Big Sky Vacation Rentals has the nicest rental properties in all of Big Sky. They are extremely clean and well maintained. Their attention to detail is amazing, as is their staff. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to rent a home for their next vacation in Big Sky.

Negative experience: Do not use this company if you like dealing with companies that are honest and believe in the importance of customer service. We rented a house from them for a week in the winter of 2020. Received and completed the application form and then received a confirmation email, with a confirmation number and a statement that our credit card payment had been processed. The next day we received an email and phone call that a mistake had been made and they had unilaterally cancelled our reservation. They said if we wanted to, we could resubmit for 3 times the quoted price on their website. Not only were the representatives with whom we spoke less than friendly, but they took no accountability for their mistake and said that we were welcome “to go look for another of their property options to rent”. Amazed that this organization refers to itself as a “luxury” company.

Fantastic experience: We just rented Arrowhead 1651. The unit itself was perfect for our 2 families which consisted of 4 adults and 4 children under 9 years old. The house was well stocked with all necessary utensils and towels. The ski accessibility didn't work so well as most of the group were beginners and could not ski back to the home as silver knife is one of the steeper blue runs on the mountain. The walk up from base with ski gear is not as easy as described. The issue that wasn't very clear in the description is that the parking is not at the condo and all on the street level and makes getting luggage of food supplies up to the house a real chore. There was someone to assist when we arrived but he was not on our departure and dragging luggage for 8 people down the narrow path was a real hassle. Overall I would say it was a great fit for us but just make sure the skiing ability of those in your group is adequate to ski home and also get up the hill at end of path to ski out of condo. BSVR rentals was very professional and easy to work with throughout the entire process.

Positive experience: This was our second time staying at BSVR. Last time we were in a 3 bedroom unit, this time were in Cowboy Suite 7C, a 4 bedroom unit. We were so pleasantly surprised by the kind note and welcome gifts we received for being return guests. Both stays were fantastic overall, although there were several minor issues with this unit. Some of the problems included fireplace venting issues, a toilet not functioning properly (we dealt with those), a Keurig that didn’t work - they immediately brought us a new one, a shower that barely trickled water (a repairman came and promptly fixed that.) Also the dishwasher stopped working the day before our departure. A repairman came and was unable to fix that, but we were leaving the next day so, it wasn’t a huge issue. Another area of trouble was with the heat. The unit should really have separate systems for upstairs and down. The bedrooms (particularly in the upstairs loft bedroom) were quite hot at night, even with the heat turned off. On the HIGHLY positive side though, there are MANY great things about staying here. The unit is modern and beautifully furnished. We loved the decor and special touches like cozy blankets laying out on furniture. Also really appreciated the great, plentiful bath products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion) that were provided. They also provided plentiful supplies including laundry and dishwasher detergents, dryer sheets, paper towels, fire starter sticks, trash bags, etc. The hot tub was a wonderful treat in the evenings. We cooked many meals in the unit and the kitchen was fairly well stocked (although it could use a little bit of checking as there are quite a few pots without lids, etc.) The views are spectacular in every direction, and we loved the spacious deck. Customer service from management was outstanding, and they were quick and responsive to every request we had. We had a couple of boxes of non-perishable groceries sent to the condo and they delivered them to our unit for us. We most likely will return again in the future as we had really enjoyed our time on both visits!

Fantastic experience: The best Thanksgiving ever! We had 12 family members and 2 babies and the space was perfect in every way. The home was welcoming with music and lights on and all we had to do was light the fire and it felt like home! Hot tubs in the evenings with snow falling and a full moon....does not get better than this! Plush robes in the closet, enough spices to enhance our Thanksgiving dinner and a ski resort steps away! We skied on Sunday with fresh powder and the view from the chairlift was breathtaking! We are definitely coming back! Thank you Lori and Steve for sharing your beautiful home.

Fantastic experience: The most amazing property! We stayed here over Thanksgiving week with 4 adults and 2 kids. The property has everything you may possibly need. Very clean and new. The beds are amazing and the sheets are clean! We walked to go skiing, no driving necessary. Everything is so close to this property. The most beautiful place we've ever visited! Fantastic experience: We held a family reunion at Das Moose Haus, and it exceeded all our expectations. The kitchen had every cooking utensil we needed, we had every cleaning supply we needed, and there wasn't a lack of any amenity. I normally don't sleep well away from home, but I slept like a log from the first night. It was perfect!

Positive experience: Unit is nicely laid out and nicely furnished. However, the cooling system never work correctly and the outside deck was filthy to the point of being unusabel. On top of that, the disjointed nature of being located in the main Club House Lodge, yet not having access to any of the Lodge facilities/golf is crazy. Multiple locks, pass codes, and keys is less then ideal. In spite of that, weather was perfect and we enjoyed out stay.
