Negative experience: Worse insurance company to deal with ! Rude employees, never return calls nor emails! So unprofessional!!
Negative experience: They claim to offer roadside battery service. They have no trucks in St. Louis to offer this service and contract it out to which they only have one contractor who provides the service. If that contractor is busy has unpleasant employees your stuck with them. Come on AAA get some trucks in St. Louis and stop using these roadside bandits! And don’t tell me to call you with concerns I already did and you did nothing!
Negative experience: Scammers, keep attempting to charge my credit card while I don’t even have an account with them.
Fantastic experience: I have heard and read about countless horror stories from home owners paying insurance premiums for MANY years only to be denied coverage or reduced benefits when the insurance was actually needed. My experience with AAA Insurance was nothing like that. Our home suffered storm damage (including needing new roof) and the response from AAA was EXTREMELY fast, comprehensive and compassionate. Melissa, Claims Adjuster and Valerie, Claims Coordinator, were terrific to work with and went above and beyond. Damage that I was unaware of was discovered with instructions given to the roofing contractor to repair. Very happy to have AAA Insurance!!
Negative experience: I have AAA membership I got a quote from the AAA auto insurance division I like to quote, paid for everything gave them all my information they called me 3 weeks later and said that because there was no VIN number on my previous insurance they were canceling my insurance. Why they didn't check all this before they sign me up and I made payments is beyond me. This is the sorriest thing I've ever had done to me, because I canceled my Progressive Insurance after being with them for 3 years and lost my loyalty status because of this insurance company that didn't do what they were supposed to do and verify everything before they gave me an insurance policy and I paid all my premiums. I do not recommend this Insurance Group to anyone because they have no feelings and they don't care about people.
Negative experience: If I could give negative stars I would. That man Antonio Meeks has absolute zero professionalism. I had a claim with his company and it was not my fault his insurer was the one who hit me while I was parked. He wanted me to mail in the same day FedEx out of pocket; which again t wasn’t my fault.. I shouldn’t have had to come out of pocket at all my car was the one totaled. He only gave me a week for the rental. I have no car at all he wanted me to wait till he got the title to send it to the adjuster so they can send me my check which is absolutely ridiculous I should’ve had the rental longer it takes longer to find a car . He was very rude on the phone and hung up on us while we were speaking to him. We have tried to speak with Sonia his supervisor she never got back to me and I also left several voicemails for her and about 8 for him as well as numerous emails. I am so disappointed in tripe a and my husband is as well. We were thinking about gettin triple a but now I will let my friends and family know that we will never do business with them . Very upsetting. He should be fired.
Negative experience: During the early morning hours of October 8, 2023, I was subjected to abhorrent and unacceptable roadside customer service from AAA when my car broke down on Illinois Route 267 about a half mile south of Woodson, IL. My car broke down around 12:45 AM after I hit a large raccoon that was in the roadway. This resulted in me being stuck on the side of the road on a chilly night in a car where nothing, including the heater, worked. I initially called AAA at 12:47 AM to request roadside assistance. I was expecting a tow for my car and a ride to a hotel in nearby Jacksonville, IL where I could spend the night and the next day arrange car service, rent a car, or have my father who lives in nearby Springfield, IL pick me up and lend me his spare car. What happened next was instead a terrible display of inept, callous, and incompetent customer service. Ultimately, nine separate calls were made either to or from myself and AAA between 12:47 AM and 3:30 AM regarding my request for roadside assistance. Each time I contacted AAA, I was advised that the tow truck was only 30 minutes away from arriving, but this was incorrect. No tow truck was actually coming. It’s disgusting that I was constantly told that a tow truck was coming when in reality it wasn’t. I should have just been told the truth that no tow truck was coming and I was on my own. At 3:48 AM, I gave up on the non-existent tow truck arriving and called 911. The Morgan County, IL Sheriff’s Department then promptly arrived and called a local tow truck company that also promptly arrived. My car was towed to the tow truck company’s impound lot where I had to pay for it to be released. If AAA had actually helped me, my car could have instead been towed directly to a local service center thus avoiding the impound lot altogether. The Morgan County Sheriff’s deputy assisting me was gracious enough to give me a ride to a hotel in Jacksonville to spend the reminder of the night and the next day at. When I mentioned to the sheriff’s deputy that I had initially called AAA, he advised that my experience wasn’t unusual and that AAA has a reputation for terrible service in that area. Several good Samaritans who stopped to ask if I needed help mentioned the same thing. I live in Southwestern Illinois and am a member of AAA Missouri. This incident occurred in South Central Illinois which is in the territory of AAA Chicago. As a AAA member I should be assured of excellent customer service regardless of which AAA region I need assistance in. A pain point I experienced during this incident is that as a member of AAA Missouri, I called the AAA Missouri call center where I explained my situation. Once they learned that I was in the jurisdiction of AAA Chicago, I was transferred to their call center where I had to repeat my explanation. Since I was forced to make multiple follow-up calls, I was forced to repeat my story to both the AAA Missouri and AAA Chicago call centers each time I called in. This should not be the case. This is bad customer service. AAA’s choice to organize as separate regional entities instead of one national entity should not impact customer service like this. To add insult to injury, I received a call the next day asking me to rate the quality of the tow service I received. I had to advise the call center rep that the tow truck never arrived. I have used AAA Missouri numerous times in both the Missouri and Illinois sides of metro St. Louis and have always received good service. This is the first time that I have received such bad service from AAA.
Negative experience: I had no issues with the tow truck driver. AAA does not have a viable customer service system. They have recently started contracting out their tow services, and do not have enough contractors to service anyone in an adequate amount of time. Day’s 2 and 3 of this incident were above freezing, with no precipitation. After the tow was completed, their automated service texted me to ask if I had a good experience and needed anything further. I requested to chat with an agent. The agent blamed the response time on the “winter storm” (an inch of snow). They said that it took them 3-4 days to fulfill the requests that needed the most assistance, and they were just now getting back to normal operation. I suppose they only have one tow truck and one agent contracted out to take care of services. That is the only reason I can see that they were unable to handle the volume for 5 DAYS, from an inch of snow. We will be switching to a different roadside assistance company. AAA has proven that they are unable to provide customer service, updates, or towing in a timely fashion.
Negative experience: We were in a non injury accident on November 10th 2023. The other driver was at fault and has insurance through this company. The other driver claimed responsibility that night when filling claim and the following day when giving their statement to their agent. AAA agent sent me a text on November 14th to inform me that they will be accepting responsibility, the vehicle is totaled, and they would be transferring my claim to the “Total Loss Adjuster” to finish the claim. Since that point nothing has happened. It has now been almost an entire month to complete A non injury accident, with a car that everyone knew was totaled from the moment the air bag went off (car was a 2006), and responsibility was claimed immediately. Bizarre. Since Friday I’ve been waiting for the agent to simply go get the title that I spent extra money to mail to them overnight from the “mail department” so she can simply look at it and make sure it’s signed appropriately so she can issue our direct deposit that will also take a few days to get. So far from the “Legendary Service” they claim to strive for. Can’t even go down stairs and get a piece of mail.

Negative experience: They never answer their phone, when they finally do they tell you they are working on it and they’ll call you back and never do. Been with AAA for 10+ years, when Mike and Paul were there we never had issues and soon as they left the company the new people suck.
Fantastic experience: I stopped by today to get my International Drivers permit. I was fortunate to work with Cheryl in the travel department. She did a great job getting my permit in a very efficient manner and we also shared some laughs. It was a friendly atmosphere all the way around. I would highly recommend seeing Cheryl and her entire team members

Negative experience: My review has nothing to do with this office (the nearest office to our house) per se but rather AAA services in general, specifically its towing services. I have been a AAA member for 30 years. My wife and daughter are also members. Long story short, I needed to take one of our cars, a 1989 Porsche, to the dealer for repair. After driving about 20 miles from our home to within 150 yards of the dealer, the car died on South Hanley. I called AAA for a tow and also called the dealer to try to jump the car. I called AAA at about 1:50 pm but was unable to talk with someone. Instead, I exchanged texts with a chatbot, during which a St. Louis County policeman pulled up to check on me, so now I am talking with him while trying to keep the chatbot on line. I wanted to advise AAA that I was on a busy road near a busy intersection (Manchester/Hanley) but the bot never gave me the ability to do that. The bot told me a truck would be there by 2:50 (one hour). During the interim the dealer tried to jump the car but was unable to do so. The dealer asked me whether I needed a tow. I said I had called AAA and was promised a tow (at that time, it was about 2:40) and the two mechanics left. Shortly thereafter, AAA sent me a text. The tow would not be there until 3:30. Eventually 3:30. But wait, a new text: 3:30 became 3:10. But then became 4:45 (nearly three hours after my initial call at 1:50). In the meantime, a Maplewood policeman pulled up and said that I needed to move the car soon because the street was busy and would soon be busier. He offered to call a tow truck. I asked him to do so. About five or ten minutes later, a tow truck appeared and towed the car to the dealer, charging me $70. (Normally, a mileage fee is also added, but given that I was 150 yards from the dealer, that was waived.) The dealer also charged me the mechanics' time, trying to start the car and performing some preliminary diagnostics. The dealership does great work, but it is not cheap. I probably would have incurred at least some of same charges for diagnostic work had it been performed at the dealer, but not all of it. I then received "good news" via text from AAA that the driver would arrive by 4:20. Too little too late.
Negative experience: On 10/1/22 at 2:02pm, we called for roadside service for towing when the thermostat on our Explorer showed it was over heating and had lost it’s antifreeze. We were told a tow had been called. After 7 times of being told the tow would be there shortly but was detained (had to drop one off in line before us, the driver then on lunch break, the driver then was at end of his shift), a tow truck arrived at 9:15pm. It took 7 hours to get a AAA tow truck. Because we were told we had to be with the vehicle and that they were on their way, we spent 7 hours sitting on the roadside waiting. Luckily we were not in a remote area, it was in Sunset Hills on Lindbergh. Needless to say, very frustrating. We’ve been members for 27 years. Our membership expires 10/31/22; we will not be renewing.
Negative experience: They issued out me a bad check that my bank can not verify an when I called about it she hung up in my face so it has nothing to do with her I couldn’t cash it I couldn’t even cash it at the bank they issued it from (Amanda mems )

Fantastic experience: Great help! Was at the park and had just gotten back to my vehicle. Unpleasantly surprised when I went to start it and it wouldn’t turn over. “Sam the Man” happened to be in the parking lot and walked over to ask if we needed some help. He jump started my vehicle and saved me a phone call and extra time. Very grateful he was able to help us!!
Negative experience: They will send their independent contractor to basically total your vehicle and not pay for your damages been fighting this since 4/15/2022 now 5/14/2022 when writing this review I pay for the aaa permire service been a member since 2011

Negative experience: This is the second day trying to cancel my renters insurance policy since I am moving. I was on hold for 30 minutes yesterday, Today, I have been transferred 3 times already...as I outsmarted the system to actually get a person. I am 18 minutes in on this call of being on hold. I have my auto policy with them as well and will be cancelling it as soon as I acquire a new insurance company.

Fantastic experience: I can see why the dry rubbed wings are popular. Delicious and meaty. I'm not a big fan of spicy but these had just the right amount of heat. Good selection of wine for those of us who are here with the beer drinkers. Husband having a great time with the beer flights. Excellent service from the staff. We are already planning a return visit to try the pizzas. They look great!

Positive experience: My car broke down yesterday and I got a flat tire. AAA got there in a timely manner. Had an issue jacking up the car- he said he didn't realize the ball joint was broke- had me drive the car which ruined the wheel, tire and axle and added over $600 to my repair bill. The driver was nice, but not as knowledgeable as he should have been
Negative experience: On December 19th I contacted AAA twice for assistance and spoke to the same lady, who stated that she would send help but did not.. Hours later I got a different person that said there was no record that I called before . As a resultThe truck was vandalized and now it make sense why there was so many strange occurrence .Beware of AAA Roadside Assistance

Negative experience: I was out of service calls on my membership so this company decided they would do me a favor and renew my membership four months early. They abuse their power to withdraw payment from my account and decided to renew me for $48. Unfortunately I wasn't aware the renewal and it was at an inopportune time that caused my account to be overdrawn. I had to spend hours to get the funds refunded in addition 2 finding a way to replace the funds in order to pay an urgent bill that was due the next day.

Negative experience: Someone with AAA Missouri Insurance drove into a storage POD of mine damaging $6000 worth of furniture. The ladies that have been assigned to my case have been extremely unresponsive and have not provided me with the proper process instruction. I would never recommend AAA Missouri if you actually expect insurance to do what it is supposed to do. It has been 3 months and no resolution with little response from the company or the managers. Edit: It took 4 months but I feel like I should update my review. I still feel strongly that their customer service was the worst I've experienced (2 calls the entire time and 30+ un returned messages) but I did finally get a pay out. They actually tried to pull another one over on me by not paying the amount a 3rd party valued my things at until I asked to see it. It is resolved and because they hired a 3rd party I got paid MORE than anticipated, but it took a lot of headache and 3 higher ups to get there.

Negative experience: I called to get a battery jump & it took 3 hours to get service on a nice spring day not rush hour. I was told by several employees that AAA is decommissioning their fleet of service vehicles & contacted everything out. There was mass confusion as I was getting call backs, employees confused, & complaining about AAA management. Most of the people I was talking with were out of town, contractors.. lt's sad to see AAA crashing & burning. They were so good, reliable & trustworthy & "member" focused. Now they don't seem to care. Sad to see them go. I won't renew & don't thing you should either.

Negative experience: We have been with AAA for 11 years and recently moved to Kansas from California. We changed our location with AAA and received a new premium amount with AAA MIissouri. We signed the paperwork agreeing to the premium amount.. After 2 weeks we received a bill for almost double the premium we signed up for. Contacted Missouri AAA and they were unable to tell me why it increased. After two months of no answers or help, we went ahead and cancelled our policy. Then they said we owe for the higher premium rate and a 10% cancellation fee. We tried several times to resolve this issue only to be told we have to pay it. We were told that the agent that signed us up was suppose to contact us to inform us of the premium increase and give us an option to cancel then, but that was NOT done. We tried calling the agent and his supervisor and no one ever called us back. If they would have contacted us regarding this change like they were suppose to then we would have cancelled right away and not be charged for premium we didn't agree to. They were unwilling to admit this was wrong and only charge us for what we signed and agreed to. To make it worse they sent us to collections and while we were in dispute with collections they put it on our credit report. We reluctantly paid the balance to have it show paid on our credit report but now it has damaged our credit which we have excellent scores. Collections said that AAA is the one that can remove it from our credit.We contacted AAA Missouri again to ask if they could please remove the collections to which they said they are not able to do that. I'm not surprised they wouldn't help us. Sadly,we are no longer AAA members after 11 years.
Negative experience: I was sent a letter from VP Ray Posey and since they couldn't provide service they would reimburse for other roadside provider assistance. I called about this and asked to adjust my membership fee since I had 2 vehicles that needed assistance. I was told they can't make any adjustments. I can use a different service provider for less and get the same amount of service. When I requested service twice and they couldn't replace the battery. I was told it would take about 1 or 2 weeks before they could service my vehicles. I would definitely look at other providers since I was offered a better deal with my insurance company. I had another issue with AAA travel and it turned out horribly. It took over 2 months to get my refund after my travel itinerary was messed up. I tried to get AAA auto insurance and couldn't get it since they up charged my amount before the agreement was made. I also went to go get my passport pictures and the post office wouldn't take any of the pictures. I had to get them done at the post office and pay for them. I give multiple chances and AAA keeps falling on their face.

Fantastic experience: I had car trouble on 9/12/20 and pulled on to the shoulder of highway 64. I waited around an hour for driver to arrive. Driver's name was Jordan and he couldn't have been nicer or more competent. He put gas in my car and when it still wouldn't start, went out and got more gas. Finally, he jump started the car (after locating the battery under the back seat!), and got me moving again. He was fantastic and is a credit to your company.

Negative experience: Please take your money elsewhere. This company used to be the standard. I don't know what happened. They can't keep your account and benefits straight. Twice I've tried to upgrade and it just doesn't get done. I don't get charged for it but once again I've been left stranded thanks to AAA. This will be my last time with them.

Negative experience: I have nothing good to say about AAA customer service by phone or their web site. It would seem impossible to get someone to answer the phone and on the outside chance someone does answer you will be placed on hold for another 45 min or redirected to a place that has no idea why you have called only to be placed on hold indefinitely again. The web site is of no help if you attempt to renew. You will enter your credit info and get a blank screen. There is supposed to be tech support for this but good luck contacting them. As it stands, my first attempt to contact was 830am immediately following the web site problem. It is now 1530 or 330pm and have yet to speak with someone to resolve the issue. I have spoken with 5 call center representatives that have been happy to transfer me to an indefinite hold and I simply hung up 5 other times after waiting on hold up to 45 minutes never speaking to anyone. Last call was routed to southern California to someone who was very nice but unable to help because they had nothing to do with my membership in Missouri. BEFORE YOU BECOME A MEMBER I WOULD CALL AND ATTEMPT TO SPEAK TO A REAL PERSON!
Negative experience: My experience was with James Fink. His last name fits well. My car was hit by their customer. Fink was the adjuster. Fink decided AAA would do substandard repairs. My hood was creased, no replacement. My headlights are adaptive.....they want to replace it with a none adaptive headlight. No payment for the bumper damage. No blend to get the color to match. At then end he told me to go ahead and sue their client, it wont change anything. HORRIBLE COMPANY IF YOU ARE THE VICTIM!!!!!
Negative experience: Triple A has not handled my policy well at all, after being on hold for 30 minutes I find out that I have to get a new policy this time around because the last time “no one asked the right questions” so I am paying for their mistakes. The customer service was awful, my agent was consistently talking to a coworker through out our conversation. A 15 minute ordeal turned into an hour and 15 minutes.

Negative experience: DO NOT USE...rates are only a little lower than real insurance companies but they will not pay out on large claims.

Negative experience: Dirty, bed bug infested, unprofessional staff, piss poor management outdated building. One star still isn't low enough.

Fantastic experience: Great customer service and very helpful. I have been a member for 20 yrs. They have helped me with locked doors in the snow, dead battery n flat tire. Also towing my car after an accident from a deer. There employees are nice and quick and helpful when i needed them.
