Negative experience: Called in to get a quote and spoke with an agent Mike Ceresa. I asked him about state minimum insurance and this agent had the nastiest attitude and hung the phone up in my face. I called back and got his name. Do not shop for insurance here if you want to be respected while asking simple questions that involve insurance. Seems like Mike Ceresa one of there agents can’t answer a simple question without going into his disgusting and despicable feelings.

Negative experience: The staff at this location are exceptional and friendly, but unfortunately there is no place for me to leave a review for the insurance they sold me other than here, so that's where it's going to go. It's too bad insurance is no longer mediated by the relationships with one's agent, but rather by the corporate offices in other states. Traveler's insurance failed me and it needs to be said somewhere. After my family and I have given Traveler's tens of thousands of dollars in premiums over the years, they ultimately refused to pay out a relatively small amount of money in comparison, for my car that was totaled, but they refused to total it. Instead, they insisted I continue to get my utterly smashed and twisted car fixed, because it was cheaper for them to nickel and dime me - I was the one that paid the rental car for months, while yet another problem was found in my car, and yet another part was ordered, for an ultimately unfixable car with a twisted frame. I consulted with a lawyer that specializes in this area and he said, emphatically, that Traveler's was in the wrong. They were legally obligated to make me whole, and they refused to. I ultimately had to trade off my half-fixed but ultimately unfixable car, at a major loss, given I had purchased it new. What I learned yet again is that in 2024, relationships, loyalty, and any other moral human principles no longer apply. If they can make a quick buck RIGHT NOW, then, that's what they'll do, no matter the history or loss to their own future profits by losing a customer in the 99th percentile of driving records. (The "accident" was my parked car getting rammed, the person has been charged with a crime, I was 0% at fault). So, it's worth knowing that a more "premium" experience that seems to come with Traveler's and having a local agent was ultimately me paying twice as much as I would with any other insurance company, while it did no better than the worst rated insurance company out there in practice. They did a poor assessment of my car and rather than apologize and make up for it, they just continued to double down. To them, they are infallible. So don't waste your money. Traveler's is a scam, filled with the same immoral people as every other insurance company. Buy cheap insurance, and just accept they'll try to screw you, but at least you won't be bitter about the high premiums you paid for decades. I've moved to a new insurance company and I'm paying well over $1000 per year per person less for the exact same policy.

Negative experience: I came here to get an International drivers permit. The girl never stamped the permit making it invalid. Thankfully, I sent it off to my host in Japan and he said it was not valid. I returned to get it straightened out and the incompetent female that made the mistake tried to blame it on a 14 year old intern. Disgusting, AAA do better and hire people with at least some skills and maybe a tad bit of brains.

Hi V, in order to receive these benefits you need to be a AAA Oregon/Idaho member. Basic members pay $5 per set and non-members pay $15 per set. Fantastic experience: Terry Zearing was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was professional, personable, responsive, helpful and found my family the best vehicle insurance rate I could hope for. We are stoked to have Terry as our agent and highly recommend him.
Negative experience: I went to this AAA store to obtain an international driving permit. Angelica handled my application but she overcharged me for ID photos I did not purchase. I had already left the store when I noticed the overcharge on the receipt. When I called the store and talked to Angelica, she offered no apologies but just told me I had to come back to the store if I want a refund. When I returned to the store, another gal (Sheila) took care of the refund. She was apologetic. So I am giving Sheila 4 stars but giving Angelica 0 stars. As a result, the store gets the average of 2.
Fantastic experience: I had no idea AAA was located here, needed British pounds and they sell them. Usually I head to the downtown location. Staff was very helpful.

Negative experience: I worked with Kevin Wells to obtain a quote of coverage for auth and home, and paid my first months auto policy. There were some issues with my title company issuing payment timely for home which were eventually rectified. However, upon squaring away the payment the underwriters found that policy limits for my prior auto coverage were entered incorrectly by Kevin and they rewrote my policy thus raising my quarterly rates by $129.00. The underwriters were firmly set on my new rate instead of honoring the quote I received from Kevin. I found it disingenuous of Kevin to not explain the mistake to me, and instead faulted the underwriters. Ultimately, I know I need to be thankful to be offered any coverage at all with the make of my vehicle being blacklisted from several auto insurance providers, as I have been told by other carriers. But it was a stressful experience going through 3 different rate changes and having to hunt for the breakdown that occurred resulting in my rates being raised.

I was so impressed with the employees at this location and the fast, competent service, that I joined AAA. I have since used this office to obtain currency for a trip, and was impressed once again!

Negative experience: Things have changed here. I called for an insurance quote to compare and possibly switch. It took over 7days and no one called me back. So I called again and I was told by an agent there they were short staffed. She offered to assist me but she said she wouldn't have an answer for a couple days. That didn't happen. Instead I got an email saying she'd get back to me sometime the following week. Terrible customer service and unprofessional. Go elsewhere for your insurance needs!!

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible service and terrible people. Even if you pay for their “premium” service they still won’t tow your car if the tags are expired by more than 6 months. How are you suppose to get your car fixed when the company you pay for won’t even tow it. Would give zero stars if possible. Bunch of scummy people

Fantastic experience: My truck broke down today, leaving me stranded in a potentially dangerous situation. I called AAA and they sent a tow truck to me in a quickness. They also sent a non-emergency police officer to help direct traffic that i was blocking. AAA Dispatcher was super nice and very thoughtful. Thanks for saving the day AAA!

Only after staying and enjoying the browsing among large selection of travel oriented items, did I become aware of how many people were working in the cubicles. There were many people, but it was beautifully planned to be quiet. Friendly and helpful front desk staff.

Negative experience: I got my international driver's permit with no issues two years ago at this location, but this time around was told my photos were not valid because it wasn't taken within the last 6 months. Nowhere on the application form or their website does it state that requirement. It just says "recent". Wasted $15 for a 2X2 photo. I recommend you go to a different location.
Positive experience: AAA for the size of a city like Portland takes 4 hours for a tow truck to show up in unacceptable. What you have 2 trucks to work a city that size? It should be 50! And should never be more than 2 hours at most ever! Now if out of the city on the side of a road I can see 4 hours, but not in a city the size Portland and the metro area ever taking that long.

Negative experience: Stuck on the road of a highway and was told I would get expedited service because of the danger. 2 hours later, 2 calls, nothing, no contact...rude customer service. Ladles do not belong in the industry! Very dissatisfied with the service that I rarely use.
Fantastic experience: I was planning a trip cross country and they were incredibly helpful. I walked away with a regional map and a map of every state I was passing through, a tour book of each state, and a personalized travel book that had all of my travel info in it. If you're going on a road trip go to AAA first. It's the best way to plan your trip.
