Fantastic experience: I had a great experience in Argentina because of exploration journeys. I am an experienced traveler, and a traveled all over the world always doing it myself. But I was recommended to them by a friend and they made the trip just incredibly easy. Everyone was there exactly when they should be and promised to be. They helped us with a piece of luggage that broke and within the day it was fixed. I cannot recommend them more highly. I know this sounds like, a fake review but it is truly honest and I can't recommend them highly enough

Fantastic experience: Best travel service we have ever used.  Fred and John were amazing.  They put together a wonderful itinerary which was paced just right for us. Not only did they arrange all of the travel guides, accommodations and transportation, they also recommended and made reservations for us at top rate restaurants throughout our stays in Buenos Aires and Iguazu Falls.  We mentioned to them that we wanted to tour the Colon Theater on one of the days when we had a tour ending early and they took it upon themselves to book and pay for the tickets for us even though it was outside the planned itinerary with them.  They constantly monitored our travel and took it upon themselves to check in for our flights and when our return flight home required some additional check in information, they took care of that for us as well.  No detail was overlooked.  They were always a phone call away and incredibly responsive.  As crazy as this sounds, most of the time we heard back from them within 5 or 10 minutes.  The tour guides that they provided for us were also top notch.  We had Analisa in Buenos Aires who was very fun and knowledgeable.   She took us all over the city and presented us with a very authentic view of the history and culture of Buenos Aires.  As she got to know us, she modified the tour to allow us to spend more time in places that caught our attention which we appreciated.  In Iguazu Falls, Veronica, our tour guide, was also fun to be with and an amazing naturalist who opened our eyes to the incredible wildlife in and around the falls.  She also was able to get us back and forth through the border crossings between Argentina and Brazil in a smooth and effortless manner.   At the end of the day, if you book with Explorations Journeys,  you will have a fabulous Argentina experience.

Fantastic experience: Disclaimer: please accept the next sentence with 100% sarcasm. Fred and John have ruined us for being able to ever enjoy a vacation in our lives again. There is no destination nor person nor team which will ever be able to provide the same level of service and plan every logistical detail as they had. We will from this point on be disappointed in any future travel agent interaction. First let me begin with the first introductory email sent. From that moment forward, every single email received an immediate response. In addition to stellar response time, every email was treated with the utmost respect and thoroughly addressed every concern. The only other way to summarize it would be to say: Fred and John should teach those interested in a hospitality career in how to provide stellar customer service. My definition of the customer service I appreciate as above and beyond is: fast, friendly, and empathetic, and it's tailored to the needs of the customer. It's also consistent, convenient, and personalized. Fred and John provided a new level of customer service at all times. There is perfection and then there is the level which Fred and John have created as a new perfection level! And to then continue to the planning of our trip. Not a single detail was forgotten nor a mistake made. To provide scope of this tremendous feat, our trip included: 12 transfers, 4 hotels, 12 tours, 4 destinations and 5 flights. No detail was overlooked without a single problem being encountered. When life dealt us a cancer card, all details were rebooked with a level of empathy only provided to us by friends and family. When hotels made mistakes outside of Fred and John’s control, Fred and John immediately contacted us with solutions. And even with the resistance of management, had management team members searching for us on property to apologize for the mistakes made by their teams. Fred and John provided a trip of sheer perfection! Not only will the trip not be forgotten because of all of their efforts, but they are now considered part of our family. Our only wish would be that they covered and planned for trips all over the world. Fred & John – you amaze us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all of your efforts, time and energy on creating this perfect vacation for us. Fantastic experience: We are very satisfied with Explorations, from planning team, receiving drivers, guide, tours, hotels, hotel staff, people behind taking care of us, everyone was super nice. I wish I had one complaint. As I am very demanding person. We were worried as only two ladies were going every where. It was safe like anything. I felt royal. Fantastic experience: This was our first trip to South America and we cannot say enough about the expert planning and customer service of Exploration Journeys. In the planning process, both Fred and John were extremely responsive and listened carefully to what we wanted out of the trip and they excelled in every way. This trip was for our 50th anniversary and we wanted to experience a concert in the Teatro Colon Opera House the evening of or anniversary date. Tickets for the concert were arranged immediately. We also wanted to experience a soccer (futbol) match in Buenos Aires and again, the tickets were secured and we attended with a small group. Both experiences were fantastic. All of our guides were superb — friendly, knowledgable and solicitous of our needs and comfort. The tours were well organized and we learned a great deal about the country, the politics and the fascinating people who contributed to Argentina’s history. Perhaps the highlight of the trip was our visit to the San Lorenzo Estancia where we got to see the Magellanic penguin colony up close and very personal. Our guide was fantastic and it was the experience of a lifetime. Another highlight was the whale watch tour where we followed a mother and her calf in our boat for nearly one hour, after which time she breached and said goodbye to us. We enjoyed so many new experiences in Argentina — the tango show, the wildlife, the architecture, the restaurants and the vibrancy of the city — that this trip will be remembered as one of the best trips we have taken. Both Fred and John were an email or call away to answer any questions and we felt comfortable throughout our trip.

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough wonderful things about Exploration Journeys!! When I first began my vacation search, I knew very little about Argentina. The helpful staff took my limited wish list and gave me personalized choices. They were so kind and patient and ended up with 9 itinerary adjustments before we put together our perfect trip. Their travel booklet was priceless. It answered so many questions ahead of time and made me feel much more comfortable about traveling to a continent I'd never visited. Once finalized we were going to visit Ushuaia, El Calafate, and Mendoza and have 6 planned days of various tours and sites. Several weeks before traveling, they encountered some flight changes and took care of everything to rearrange and still allow our trip to be the same. The day of departure to Argentina, we had some airport issues and were delayed a full 24 hours. I contacted the staff of Exploration Journeys and they had my itinerary recovery plan before I woke up the next morning. When we arrived at every airport, every hotel, and every tour or event, we were welcomed by amazingly nice drivers and guides. Everything was on time, efficient and seamless. We had special seating areas and elite services that I would have never found or known about on my own. I have never been on a trip that was so well organized. This made it as stress free as possible and I was able to enjoy every minute. I wish that Exploration Journeys was available in every traveling destination!

Fantastic experience: We (five senior Americans) thoroughly enjoyed our first trip to Argentina, in no small part because of Exploration Journeys, and the nice weather didn’t hurt either. Communication with Fred and his team before, during, and after the trip was prompt, responsive, and thorough, and their “renowned travel booklet” included a wealth of useful information. They provided us with 24-hour contact information in case we had any questions or issues and even checked us in for our flights ahead of time. All of our guides (a critical element of any trip) were excellent, the excursions were varied and very good, our hotels were modern and very comfortable with good breakfast buffets, and our transfers were on time in large, clean vehicles. Our reasonably priced itinerary, suggested by and modified by Fred in accordance with our several requests, was fourteen days and included stops at Buenos Aires (coming in and going out), El Calafate, Bariloche, Mendoza, and of course Iguazu Falls. If you look at a map you will see how far apart those places are, so our routing necessarily included five (sometimes with connections) flights, all of which were arranged (and modified when Aerolineas Argentinas changed flight schedules) as efficiently as practical by Exploration Journeys. We have used travel agencies all over the world and Exploration Journeys is as good as or better than all the others. Their knowledge, attention to detail, and responsiveness are exceptional, and they helped make our trip worry free, problem free, enjoyable, and memorable.

My wife got a touch of food poisoning one day and they rearranged our amazing boat trip into the Iguazu falls (you need to do this) to accommodate us. Oh, and Penguins! Great guides. Fantastic experience: This was our first trip to Argentina and did a lot of research until I found Exploration Journeys online. We wanted to experience as much of Argentina as possible while we were there. Their client testimonials sold us on them and their sample itineraries provided a lot of ideas to customize as needed. They were super responsive and provided a perfect itinerary for our trip with friends. We most appreciated the attention to detail and customer service provided through the entire trip from both Fred and John from Exploration Journey – from checking us in and getting our boarding passes, to responding immediately to all our questions. In addition, all of the guides were excellent, and itineraries were amazing and perfectly executed. We loved their travel booklet which provided answers to all our questions regarding our trip to a country we had never been to. The restaurant recommendations were great as I made reservations based on them and we really enjoyed the food and the experience at each one we went to. We have already recommended them to all our friends and will happily use them for future trips to Argentina.

Fantastic experience: Exploration Journeys put together a completely curated journey for Iguazu Falls and Buenos Aires. The hotels selected were comfortable, the day tour guides very knowledgeable and professional and the transfers all easy. When flight problems caused a twenty hour delay in our arrival, their 24 hour staff immediately and seamlessly changed our itinerary, no small task. I like their website interface and give them top marks for communication and problem solving. I'm now left looking for excuses to return to their fine country and continue exploring.

Fantastic experience: Fred and his team are the best! We were due to arrive to Buenos Aires on the day of the general strike. Fred reached out to us a week before (when the strike was announced) to strongly suggest we move our arrival by one day to not be affected. We did so and glad we did... our original Delta flight to BA was cancelled. We really liked our personal Bariloche guide he selected for us! Fred and Exploration Journeys are 110% dedicated to ensuring a great trip!

Fantastic experience: Fred and John at Exploration Journeys were wonderful to work with. We were going to a country where we don't speak the language, didn't know which companies to trust or the best things to see and I found Exploration Journeys during a search. They answered all my questions, gave a TON of information and after we booked with them I had to change our itinerary several times and every time I emailed them with another change I got a response within a few minutes and new tour details within just a couple of hours. They booked airport transfers, hotels with all breakfasts included, a private guide for every attraction, transfers everywhere and all the domestic flights. Our private guide, Nelton, was just the best. He gave us details that we would have never known about if it wasn't for him and he was funny too! We got to fly over Iguzau in a helicopter, see the falls from the Argentinian side and the Brazilian side and took a boat ride into the spray under the falls. At El Calafate we went on a wonderful glacier tour on a huge catamaran They booked us in the Captains Club on the boat, private guide there, great meal and drinks. I don't think I would have ever found some of these treasures if it wasn't for Exploration Journeys. The travel book they put together is a blessing. It has all the details about your trip an even some suggestions and customs in the area that you may not know about. I shared our experience with several other travelers after our tour and they were all impressed and wanted to know the name of the company for their future travels. If we ever come back to Argentina I will most definitely book with them again!

Fantastic experience: We are family of 4 just returned from a 12-days tour with Exploration Journeys. It was excellent in every way; we choose which the cities we would like to visit and preferred duration of the tour. The itinerary was well planned and supported by Fred & his team behind the scenes and making sure we had everything we needed or wanted along the way: we felt coddled! Argentina Exploration Journeys was not only outstanding but deserved an extra-ordinary review. We booked our international flights, and they took care of the rest - hotels, transfers, in-country air including seat selection, private and small- group tours and most importantly - local guides. Everything was well-done, and we felt that we not only hit all the tourist sites that were important to us, but that we also were exposed to the "real" people and lives in Argentina. All of the guides were locals who had excellent depth of knowledge and had experience far beyond their tourism jobs. We came away feeling that we were leaving not just guides, but new friends. We cannot recommend Fred & his team more! I was slightly nervous about visiting Argentina with the current inflation and having to fly 36 hours to Argentina from our home country in Far East but I assure you there is absolutely nothing to be worried about! We felt completely safe and in the hands of professionals at all times. We have never done this before, we are independent travelers who usually rent a car, find our own lodging, etc. But Argentina is different and Exploration Journeys made it so easy! This took away all the stress. In the mid of the tour, we had a flight delayed and subsequently cancelled due to heavy storm in Buenos Aires, but Fred was fast and took preventive measures to inform us early in the morning at 4am, checking possible alternative plans and booking us the needed flights to secure availability, even way before our original flight was cancelled. This was crucial action to solve the issue in order to minimize disruption on our original itinerary. But once again, Fred & his team never failed to impress us with their responsive, high-efficiency and professionalism. Not only our trip was perfect, we got to enjoy the extra night at our favorite city with an additional tour, which we greatly appreciated. We also loved the Travel Booklet with all the information of the tour: pick-up time, local contact, hotel facilities and good restaurant recommendations in each city. I believe they're not the cheapest tour operator around, but choice of accommodation & quality of services already surpasses what we have paid for. We highly recommend Exploration Journeys for the trip of the life-time.

We first started emailing with Fred in 2018, at which time he was great, helpful, informative and responsive. However, we were not able to travel at that time but in 2023, we picked up right where we left off. At all times, Fred totally “got” what it was that we wanted to do and see and the itinerary he put together for us included everything that we asked for. Also, every single question was answered quickly and completely. Our itinerary was a wonderful combination of activity and relaxation. All his choices (hotels, transfer services, guides, attractions, etc.) were top notch and fabulous. In addition to all of the information and help that he gave us during our planning stages, he also provided us with a magic book that includes everything that a traveler would need to know about travel in Argentina. So, having everything go very smoothly before our trip, we took off for our adventure feeling extremely comfortable. However, we were not prepared for the incredible care and attention that we would receive once we got to Argentina. Fred, John and the Exploration Journeys team were beyond incredible the entire time. We had several internal flights and at all times, they were following the flights, checking us in, taking care of boarding passes, and informing us of all activity every step of the way. At one point, one of our domestic flights was cancelled by the airline. Before we even knew about the cancellation, had worked with the airline to check us into another flight that worked just as well so that by the time we knew there might be an issue, Fred had already resolved it. And of course he took care to inform anyone else that might be affected by the change (transfer services, etc.) so that our trip ran completely smoothly. My travel companion and I were constantly talking to each other about how lucky we felt to be traveling with Exploration Journeys, how spoiled we were, and how happy we were with our trip. This is an unqualified recommendation. I cannot imagine a better experience overall. I have traveled a lot and have used the services of many different travel companies, but I have never received attention and care on this level. It truly was amazing. Do yourself a favor and organize your trip to Argentina with Exploration Journeys!"

Fantastic experience: Travelling in Argentina is wonderful, joyful, fun, good food and excellent wine. However, it the distances are large and there can be unexpected challenges. I booked by nature tour with Exploration Journeys and traveled to Buenos Aires, Peninsula Valdes and Iguazu in November 2023. Having Fred and team of Exploration Journeys do the bookings and arrangements saved me an enormous amount of frustrating web time. Their choices were respectful of my preferences; their advice was invaluable and accurate; their choice of guides was excellent (clear English, lots of information and good senses of humour); the hotels were lovely; all the transfers were on time and efficient; and when changes were needed (airline glitches) they solved the problems and were always available. I highly recommend Exploration Journeys for your travels in Argentina.

Fantastic experience: This tour operator is fantastically awsome. We the family of four just came back from a week long Arjentina tour and all our tours , hotel stay, transportation everything was beautifully arranged by Exploration Journeys. We just landed from NewYork to Buenos Aires and everything after that is taken care of until our depurture to New york a week after. They planned everything we wanted to see and do, like Elcalafate in Patagonia region, Iguazu falls from both Arjentina and Brazil side. The tours were private and the tour guides in all destination was excellent. We enjoyed every second of our stay in Arjentina without worrying anything since everything was preplanned, well organized and beautifully executed in timely fashion. They were very responsuble, anytime I need them , for any confusion or reconfirming any pick up or touring or anything they respond right away without failure. Fantastic experience: My wife and I recently traveled to Argentina, and this was our first trip to South America. Fantastic experience: South America is a big country! And I was stressing out about planning another big add on trip to our Ecuador trip. So I decided to use a travel planner, Exploration Journeys. What a great experience. They did all the planning for Argentina. Airfares, hotels, guides etc. All I had to do was hand over my credit card. They planned the whole trip. The only thing I said no to was a glacier tour. I’ve done that enough (in Alaska) and I didn’t want to look at more ice. For the most part we were very happy with what they planned, and the communication was great. I should have passed on the art museum tour. We are just not into art enough to spend 1/2 a day looking at it.

A friend who has traveled the world had told me that Argentina and her experience with Exploration Journeys had been her best travel experience ever, and she was absolutely right! We were a group of 8 with an age range of 14 to 75 - my family plus my nephew, sister and in-laws - looking for a vacation combining nature, adventure, culture and enjoyment for all of us. My daughter had served an 18-month mission for our church In Argentina about 6 years ago. She had been wanting to take us back so that we could see all the beautiful places she was able to see and meet the wonderful people she met while she was there. But I had NO CLUE how to plan such a trip…when to go, where to go, (and where NOT to go) how to get around, how to pay for things, how to change money, who and how much to tip, where to stay, what tours to go on, what the travel requirements are and how to take care of them, COVID testing options, and so much more! I needed help, so I got online to research Argentina travel agencies and found “Exploration Journeys” and this guy named FRED that EVERYONE RAVED about… so I thought I would give them a try! AND LET ME TELL YOU……talk about perfection! Fred and his team helped us plan and carry out EVERY aspect of our trip. There was not one area of this trip that was not WELL PLANNED and taken care of. We started our journey on Christmas Day (2021). During our 10 day adventure, we were able to tour Buenos Aires, watch an authentic tango show (with amazing food), visit Chinese Gardens, see Beautiful Iguazu Falls from both the Argentina side and Brazilian side, interact with some wild monkeys, take a speed boat ride under the falls and see exotic birds. All with a private tour guide. (We loved them by the way!) We swam in a beautiful river that had rapids and small waterfalls, viewed three countries in one place, visited with lovely Argentine families, spent an Authentic Argentine New Years Eve with an Amazing Argentine family, visited an LDS temple and attended a church service. PERFECTION! I loved that the drivers were always there….. waiting to transport us to wherever we needed to be. I loved the “Perry” signs that they were holding when we would get off each plane. Each one of them were very kind and got us safely to our destinations. Each of our tour guides were knowledgeable, entertaining and fun! They took care of EVERYTHING. If we didn’t know how to do something or couldn’t do it for some reason, they did it for us! If something was cancelled (which due to COVID…that DID happen), Fred had us covered and gave options for other fun activities! The whole reason we planned a trip to Argentina was to see where my daughter lived during her mission so we planned 4 or our 10 days in those areas. Because these cities are not highly touristy areas, travel agencies do not service these areas, but Fred went above and beyond helping us figure out this part of our trip as well. (We visited Cordoba, Carlos Paz and San Francisco and had a wonderful time in each of those areas as well.) We are 110% happy with Fred and Exploration Journeys and would HIGHLY recommend them to help plan your perfect trip!

They customized our itinerary to include absolutely everything we wanted to do, and then included suggestions for additional sites, museums and outings we could add on our own. He supplied information on weather, tipping, taxis and restaurants at every destination. And when he told us to bring swim goggles for the waterfall, we did – and he was right! We felt as if we had a guardian angel watching over us the entire time. He checked us in for our flights, sent boarding passes, and kept track of what was happening. When one tour was cancelled, he immediately rescheduled it with another (better) option. If we had any questions or concerns, we could call or email 24/7 and get a reply within 15 minutes. This was supposed to be the adventure of a lifetime, but after returning home, we may just go back again!

Fantastic experience: We are freshly returned from an extended 12-day trip to Argentina – covering Buenos Aires, El Calafate, Bariloche, and Iguazu, with Fred’s Exploration Journeys as our travel guide / tour operator. I’ll try my best to explain, but it is really difficult unless you experience this first hand. As a background – we have taken vacations that are operated as a group, have taken cruises where the schedule is planned out for all on the ship, and have mostly taken vacations where we use online tools to make reservations for accommodation, transportation, and activities, and then use an integrator app (like TripIt) to string them together. We did not entirely appreciate the mass-entertainment model of the large tours (including cruises). They have sample itineraries on their website, but they're happy to customize your itinerary to how you want to travel and what you want to do. After you book your trip, they send you a printed Travel Booklet, which is filled with the most comprehensive pre-trip information that I've ever seen! From your hotels and flights to suggested restaurants to Spanish phrases and tipping customs - they've really thought of everything. And, if you still have questions, they happily answer your emails quickly. While you're traveling, they have a "trip host" who is never more than a phone call or email away. The trip host monitors your trip and thoughtfully checks you in on your next domestic flight and has the boarding passes delivered to you. Our trip host noticed that Aerolineas Argentinas pilots were intending to strike on the weekend that we were supposed to fly to El Calafate. He proactively booked us seats on a LATAM flight, so we wouldn't have to worry about our trip. This is true customer care! I highly recommend Exploration Journeys if you want a worry-free vacation. Especially if you're not fluent in Spanish.

Every guide and driver spoke English and was friendly, professional and awesome! We felt safe and appreciated at every stop along the way. We made some great memories and look forward to working with Fred to plan our trip to Brazil this year!
