Fantastic experience: Great decor, very pleasant people and the TSA PreCheck interview here is a much better overall experience than at the airports.
Negative experience: Absolutely useless. Ive paid for this service for years and I finally needed help, my battery died and I needed a new one, I call, they send someone to my house, there was ice on my driveway so he said he could drive up in his 2 wheel drive car (why is AAA, a company that's supposed to help people in distress sending a 2 wheel drive car), he said he couldn't walk up the last 20feet, even though I did no problem, and he wouldn't sell me a battery because it's policy that they have to test the old battery first?! Why? I have to pay for the battery, he had one with him but refused to sell it to me because of AAA policies. I'll be cancelling my service

Fantastic experience: Went there with my wife to get her name changed after she noticed that the DMV had misspelled it... The staff there is amazing... Not only did they make the name correction, they also noticed that the address had been misspelled also. We didn't have an appointment but, they still helped us after a brief wait. (Try doing that at the CT DMV) I can't say enough good things about the staff here. I have been here on a few other occasions and have never had a bad or mediocre experience. Every visit here has been awesome.

Location is well kept and managed, organized and decorated in a fun and engaging manner. I got my international driver’s permit and now I actually can’t wait to have to go back for something else!

Fantastic experience: I went to AAA Danbury yesterday to apply for TSA Pre-check. I was already aware of a membership issue I had where my single membership was split into two primary memberships costing me more money. I had planned on asking if it could be taken care of once the TSA stuff was finished. As soon as Christian saw the problem, she made a phone call and took care of it right away without me ever asking and before moving on with the TSA issue. She even got a partial refund for me!! She did all of this with a smile and a great attitude the entire time. Christian is the perfect example of what customer service should be and AAA Danbury is lucky to have her!!
Fantastic experience: I recently spoke with a Danbury AAA Travel Agent by phone. First thing that pleasantly surprised me was that he answered the phone immediately, spoke clearly AND identified himself right away. Who does that anymore?! Further, his knowledge, experience and willingness to help were quite refreshing. He not only answered my questions but anticipated my concerns and addressed each fully. He was more interested in my having a trip that I would enjoy and stay within my budget rather than earning his commission at my expense. Mark - YOU'RE THE BEST! UPDATE - Went to AAA office; little disappointed. The service person was lovely, but couldn't give me what I wanted. Unfortunately, AAA no longer offers, "books," with info on travel for the different states. Nope - they've gone digital on that. I prefer holding a book in my hand and perusing at my leisure. Oh, well, c'est la vie. On the other hand, the woman who helped me offered a discount on parking! I never even knew that existed. WOO! HOO!

Negative experience: My agent in Danbury was terrible. I booked a cruise in May and never heard from her until the week before the sailing. I had never cruised on my own and counted on her expertise. After several calls to AAA someone finally transferred me to a manager who advised her to call me. I never received my boarding passes and all the excursions were booked. We did not enjoy the trip and saw very little since there were no excursions left. I did send her an email when we arrived home. It was a very expensive trip since I made upgrades to make it special. Even tho the cruise was this past September, I am still upset since it ruined our anniversary. I have lost all interest in planning future cruises and canceled our AAA membership which was listed under Jorgen Jacobsen.

Positive experience: This is not a review regarding AAA staff at this particular location. It is a review about the cheap batteries they give you. I have two vehicles and when I needed batteries, one battery didn't have the tag on it so it couldn't be determined if it was less than 2 years old (which it was because this battery was an AAA replacement) so I couldn't get the free replacement. I had to pay $160 for a battery that needed to be exchanged again. Less than a year after being purchased. Now the battery in my other vehicle (also an AAA replacement, less than 2 years old) needs to be replaced. I wish AAA would refund me for the two batteries and I'll just go to AutoZone and buy them myself.

Fantastic experience: I needed a notary for signature on power of attorney, which banks would not do. Notary at AAA did this and has a notary on hand all the time.

Fantastic experience: I went to get my International Driver's Permit. It took about ten minutes in total. Service is quick, polite and friendly. One caveat, their photo booth was out of order, so if you're getting an IDP, bring two passport sized photos with you.

Fantastic experience: Always go there to get my Trip Tik for directions for my traveling needs. Staff is very accommodating.
Positive experience: I went in to get a passport photo; which was executed flawlessly. I was also encouraged to get a AAA credit card. I specifically indicated that if there would be a hard pull on my credit report, I did not want the card. I was told probably not since the check would be very fast. It was fast, and I did get approved. However, I received a notice within 1 hour from Experian that a hard credit check was pulled, and would likely be my on my account for 25 months. While the person who helped me was gracious, friendly and efficient, (s)he was not honest. I will strongly reconsider doing business with that particular individual again.
Negative experience: I was a walk in going to ask for a quick qoute for a trip i am planning for my family. The woman at the counter informed me she has appointments all day. I asked is there 5 minutes after the couple that was being helped, also no one else was in the waiting or in building. She said that i would have to make an appointment for during the week, when i said i cant do that because of my job, she did not offer any other help.
Negative experience: Worst policy holder experience I ever had. Steer clear of AAA and CSAA unless you want a horrible customer experience, denied claims , and double deductibles for the same accident
Negative experience: You people are a disaster. My wife waiting on hold for 45 minutes the other evening while waiting for battery jump. Good thing she was in Starbucks. I am cancelling my membership and advising others to NEVER use AAA for anything!
Negative experience: My husband and I went in for a new passport photo on last Saturday morning. She was rude and told us we couldn't smile showing our teeth and both ears had to be exposed. We have since found out you can have a natural smile.

Negative experience: Wait time for DMV services whether you're a member or not is outrageous. Got there when they opened (as a member) and an hour later the same people sitting there when I got there were still sitting and they may have only taken 1 or 2 people for photos. Ridiculous! Might as well go to the DMV if I'm waiting over an hour with the people behind the desk gossiping.

Negative experience: Crappy hours. Can't make it there during the week. Saturdays until 1pm??? Reconsidering my membership.
Negative experience: New branch manager introduced a new policy for all non members making wait times exceed that of the DMV, while the other employees were very pleasant and nice to deal with, the overall wait time was unacceptable, it should not take over two hours to renew a license, until that policy is changed I recommend everyone just go to the DMV and or file a complaint to have the new policy reversed

Negative experience: The worst travel experience ever! I have gone on 3 previous Royal Carribean cruises. My husband is not cruise savvy, so he booked this travel for me as a Christmas gift through AAA. What a mistake! AAA is great for auto break downs if you have an hour or two to wait. Their travel agents suck at booking cruise accommodations. We are stuck in a nightmare.. It was an anniversary celebration, and the travel agent booked us in a small suite cabin with all twin beds. It has a balcony, but it is a 1/2 balcony, not a full one. I booked on my own the last cruise and it was $1500.00 less. AAA sucks for travel, and I will search for alternatives for my autos as well. The cruise will not change may cabin, and they do not feel responsible, as the travel agent did this... OMG I am not sailing Royal Caribean again, not will we use AAA for travel. Only a moron would stick someone in a cabin this size , at this price. We want our money back! Kay Hardin Brookfield, CT.

Fantastic experience: This is one of those "best-kept secrets." Went in today to get my driver's license renewed and it took literally less than 15 minutes around noon. Employees are efficient, COURTEOUS (you will not get that at the DMV), and organized. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT waste your time at the DMV when you can come here. Even non-members just have to pay $3 for DMV services. I would have paid ten times that amount.

Fantastic experience: I went to AAA Danbury to have my drivers license renewed. I definitely recommend this option rather than going to DMV! There was a short line of people waiting to have their licenses renewed when I arrived but the line moved very quickly. The person working with me was very organized, helpful and courteous. Once it was my turn the process went smoothly; I think the process took about 10 minutes. Be sure to come prepared with the renewal requirements. The renewal fee is the same whether you go to AAA or DMV, but AAA charges a $3 processing fee. The processing fee is waived for AAA members.
Fantastic experience: I went to AAA to renew and upgrade my drivers license to the Fed standard but left one proof on the kitchen table, however, a staff member quickly pointed out to another proof of ID that I had in my car. It was a very quick and pleasurable experience. The staff is so well organized and experienced.

Fantastic experience: First time stopping at AAA to renew my driver's license. Great experience. Short wait and very helpful staff. MUCH more convenient than the DMV if you just need a straightforward renewal. I'm an AAA member, but the office is open to the public as well.

Fantastic experience: I went to get a map and advice on how best I could get to a given destination from my home. It was quick and easy and a tremendous help to me. Got a trip-tic with exact information, plus mileage, etc. I did this once before for a trip out of state and across the Hudson river. So much better than trying to map it out myself. Great service!
Negative experience: The staff were great. However, there was a long delay. At 70 it is hard to stand in line.
