Negative experience: Slowest oil change I have ever received. Was told when I showed up it would take an hour. Showed up for my noon appointment on time, but they did not start anything until 12:40. Manager (Scott) apologized and said he would put 2 guys on it and get me out quickly. Still waiting for my car at 2:05 pm. Employees seemed more interested in playing with their RC cars than doing their work. One more thing. They charge $89 for a full synthetic oil change. You would think that included the oil filter, but no, that is an extra $14. My guess is that they charged this extra since I used a $50 coupon. I'd love to hear any other stories...

Negative experience: Have had to add coolant twice in 2 days and on the 3rd day the engine overheated because the fluid had run so low again. I had to have it towed in to see why I was losing fluid so fast. Their diagnostic system couldn't find a leak so I was informed that it was just low on fluid. They added fluid and charged me $81 for the diagnostic test.. Thanks for nothing.

Fantastic experience: Had an excellent experience and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. I had initially went to a small tire shop in town (Aurora Tire) and they were stuck in the 1980s being completely unable to maintenance my vehicle and were unnecessarily rude.

Negative experience: Well they finally let me down and I'll never go back. Went in for a car with the EPC light on and running rough. Wanted them to check it and suggested it was probably a coil. To make a long story short. They quoted me $885 for spark plugs and coils. This is a 1.5 hour job. Not a hard job either. I said no. So I had to pay the diagnostic fee of $180. Totally ridiculous but I paid it. I got the job quoted elsewhere at $400. When I showed them AAA's quote they immediately saw part of the issue. They quoted the parts individually and not as a set $35.99 per spark plug and $86.99 per coil. They probably buy them as a set to make a bigger profit. This is not honest at all. They thought my car was bad enough I'd pay it and not drive it off. Very dishonest. You've lost my business. I can't work with dishonest people. Thieves in my opinion.

Negative experience: No one I know has ever taken my their car back from here without these mechanics having caused more issues. I only got my oil changed by this AAA location and it was returned to me with the oil light on. I brought it to another mechanic and they explained that there was oil in the engine, so I had them check for wear and they found none. My brother brought his vehicle here and they shoved an old pipe into his new radiator. Today, my sister had a broken tie rod and they took it upon themselves to also do the oil and on her way home her oil light came on and her car started to steam. Do Not bring your vehicle here unless you want More problems and expenses.

Negative experience: I had an appointment at 8am to install tires, replace valve stems (one was leaking) and perform an alignment. I arrived and was quoted the tire install price plus ~$150x4 (I do not remember the exact number) to replace the tpms sensors. However, my vehicle does not have tpms just regular valves. I informed the Service Advisor of this and he said they would just replace the valves then. I waited, and it took around 45 minutes to take my vehicle inside. They mounted the tires and then it waited another hour or so before they started on the alignment. After they put it on the alignment machine, they said they could not do the alignment because of a bad ball joint. They then quoted me $200 for the part and $730 for labor ($930 total) to have the ball joint replaced. This is an astronomical price so I declined and would replace it myself and then return to have the vehicle aligned. I paid the fee to install the tires and new valves and left. A Moog ball joint cost $24 off of Rock Auto and it took me about an hour to install. I also replaced the tie rod ends while I was in there. A day or so later I discovered I had a low tire. As it turns out the valve stems, which I specifically requested and paid to be replaced, were not replaced. I called and set up an appointment to perform the alignment and replace the valve stems (which involves removing the tires from the wheels and then rebalancing, so they have to redo ALL of the work they did previously) I arrived and they moved the car into the shop quickly this time and returned the vehicle quickly. They didn't charge me for the alignment which seemed nice. I was suspicious of how quickly it was returned and left to get a spay bottle with soapy water. I sprayed it on the valve stem that was leaking and discovered that it was STILL leaking (the soapy water bubbles up if there is a leak). I immediately returned to have them replace all the valve stems. This would be the third time I was there to have the valve stems replaced. They took the vehicle back and returned it after 45m or so. This time the valve stems were replaced and passed my leak check. However, at this point I am highly skeptical of their work so I called Tire Discounters to check the alignment and rebalance the wheels (Due to vibrations I think they skipped this when mounting the tires for a third time) Tire Discounters discovered that the alignment is not even close (0.7 degrees toe on the rear) AAA straightened the steering wheel during their "alignment" (it was off center after my tire rod end replacement) so I know they at least did something, which almost seems worse that half effort went into every job that was performed. I am really at a loss to describe this experience. In summary: -Quoted for parts my vehicle does not have (tpms sensors) -$1k to replace a ball joint is a borderline scam -I had to go 3 times to have valve stems replaced -The alignment was not correct

Negative experience: Don’t bother making an appointment here. I had a 12:00 oil change appointment, but my car was not taken back until 2:00. Oil change itself was done quickly, but the receptionist proceeded to say “If you would’ve called, we could’ve scheduled you better” I did call to make the appointment and was scheduled several days in advance. If you truly don’t have open appointments, you should not advertise that you do. When this place makes a mistake, they blame the customers. Terrible customer service and outrageous prices. I would not recommend going here.

Fantastic experience: Most mechanics I've run into on the road are too busy to get me in for two weeks. Bob Sumerel got me a next-day appointment and did everything I requested....in less than four hours. Great service, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Negative experience: I wasted a chunk of my Saturday because of this shop. I called the day before to ask if they could align my vehicle since it's an unusual one. They said "yeah we can do that". The next day I arrived and told them I needed 4 tires mounted before the alignment, they told me that they won't mount tires brought in by a customer but they'll align it when I get them mounted. I had the tires mounted, returned, and was told their machine couldnt align my vehicle because it wasn't in the system. If one of the 3 people I spoke to had bothered to check before giving me an answer then I would've saved a bunch of time on my day off and scheduled an appointment somewhere else.

Negative experience: Needed struts and shock absorbers replaced, had to come back twice because something kept rubbing against the backing plate. Then six months later I get my wheel bearing and tie rod ends replaced. Had to come back again for backing plate issue, then again because they didn’t reattach the heat shield properly. And after going back a second time I know have a flat tire. Please AVOID. This place will give you nothing but grief

Negative experience: I took my truck into Bob Sumerel - Aurora in Feb. 2023. They said my transmission looked "perfect" and just needed new fittings in three places and would last another 50,000 miles. Two months later and my transmission stops working because of a leak which damages the transmission and they now say I need a whole new transmission. My warranty for the previous work is meaningless and I'm now supposed to pay them $5000 after I already dropped $1900 on the first "fix." Never going back!

Tuve que pedirle a mi esposo que me recogiera y llevara su auto, porque tenía que trabajar a las 2 de la tarde. Expresé nuevamente mi descontento con este servicio deficiente. Y, cuando llegué a casa, el auto todavía tenía daños y no lo arreglaron. No sé en qué se pasaron 5 horas porque empeoró. Esta fue la primera vez que fui aquí, ya que suelo ir a Tire Discounters. Negative experience: Prices at this location are a lot more than other locations. The service has never been higher than poor. They don’t explain warranties on tires unless the customer asks. They don’t seem to wanna help if there’s a miscommunication about a warranty. I bought two tires 18 months ago that I thought were good tires and just had one blow out on the highway. When I called them about the warranty the service tech told me the tire wasn’t under warranty. He explained I should’ve asked for a warranty at time of purchase. I was under the impression that it was but obviously I was supposed to tell him I wanted a warranty, which I’ve never ever heard of that with any purchase of any item at any company. I then found out that this particular brand is being discontinued by the manufacturer due to poor quality but Bob Sumerel isn’t taking any responsibility for this or telling any of their customers who bought this brand to return with these tires to have them replaced. I’m sure they wouldn’t help with the price. Just not a customer oriented or friendly place. I won’t ever go to this location again...

Fantastic experience: This place is awesome and would recommend. I called this morning and they were able to get me in for an appointment today. What I thought was just needed of putting my window back on its track turned into needing a whole assembly replaced. They were super quick to get the part in and get it put on before I had to get kids from school. Due to the unexpected repair and time constraint I was on they worked with me amazingly and did an awesome job. Thank you for making my day better.

Negative experience: Don't bother making an appointment since apparently they are not honored. Dropped the car off at 0750 for an 8am appointment came back at 0935 (plenty of time for 4 new tires to be put on balanced and ready to roll) my car had not even been started on. Why bother making an appointment with this type of service. I know everyone's time is just as valuable as mine but it's more than a little ridiculous that 95 minutes after appointment time and still not started. This is why we don't use tire discounters. We try to keep our business local but not car care anymore. We will go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I took my '01 Camry here to be worked on and the staff is very friendly and quick. My whole family now takes their vehicles here to get an oil change and the like. Also run in and get movie tickets in a very convenient location as it is by the Walmart!

Fantastic experience: My mom and I were out for the day running errands and she had a sudden puncture in tire. It was leaking fast. We pulled into Bob Sumeral and they took great care of us. The tire was fixed and we were back on the road within 30 mins. Excellent customer service and would highly recommend the guys at Bob Sumeral in Aurora for any of your vehicle repair needs!

Negative experience: This place lies lies lies told me my truck needed 400 dollars in new brake lines when only 1 brake line needed replace and I did it myself if you are stupid enough to let this place touch your car then you deserve what you get!
