Negative experience: I've been a member for 23yrs. Today I called for a tow truck. I called at 10:00am. I had to call again at 11:30 bc they didn't show up in 90mins as I was told. I requested a call 5min call ahead before the tow truck was to arrive. As of today they have always taken care of me. Promptly with out a wait over 2hrs. Interesting it took 2 phone calls and over 2 hrs for a tow truck to arrive at my house! Very disappointed in their service today!!

Negative experience: I have been a member for 10 yrs, worse service ever, called AAA at 5:15 pm after accident told them to send flat bed, they send reckor then tell us they will send another on, which they did from Chillicothe another hour and a half wait for THEIR MISTAKE, I am done with AAA nothing will EVER make me pay for their services again, keep your $$$$ people, representatives are rude and don't care that they messed up. Get road side through your insurance company save the headache.

Negative experience: My daughter Called because car broke down was told had no ETA on tow truck two hours later tow truck drove right by us even though she honked her horn and got out of the vehicle and tried to wave them down. Terribly service will not renew my membership.

Negative experience: 6 hoir wait time. Had to call 6 times. Was told i would receive updates 5-10 minutes after hanging up each time. Every time i called back, was told nobody had neen sisiatched yet, but was right then. Every. Time. Unbelievable, no idea how this "service" still exists.

Negative experience: We were initially told the wait time would be “less than 60 minutes”. An hour later when I called back because there had been no updates, I was told the wait time was actually closer to 2 hours. 3 hours later a young man with multi-colored hair showed up and he is the only reason this rating is 2 stars rather than negative 0. This employee deserves 10 stars— very empathic, hardworking and knowledgeable. Imagine my shock though when he informed us that we were only his 4th call. What?!? Thank God the weather was nice so that my granddaughter could run around in a parking lot while we waited. I can’t imagine though the wait time or how stressful the situation would’ve been if the weather had been bad or stranded on a busy road. AAA used to arrive within an hour or less and I’m very saddened by their current service times. Horrible way to treat customers! If you can’t provide customers with services in a timely manner, please either provide frequent updates or do away with the requirement that customers have to stay with their cars to provide ID if you anticipate long wait times.

Positive experience: Great service! It's also a great resource for anything traveling you can come in, sit down, talk with someone but you probably should make an appointment. You can also exchange dollars for anywhere and anywhere in the world It's a $12 fee. If you remember to exchange money usually takes about a day it might be hard to find but just follow the signs and where it says AAA members entrance. But you can go inside and look around and get various books on where you want to travel. Even cruise information if you're into doing cruises

Negative experience: Update-I responded to AAA Worthington 2 months ago w their email supplied per their reply to this post. Crickets. It seems the Worthington office has deteriorated for years w poor leadership. No simple closed loop customer processes, no resolution to legitimate complaints, poor response times. Yet no problems cashing customer checks. I can’t believe how incompetent this branch’s leadership is. No accountability. I placed a call to Worthington OH AAA for roadside assistance Aug 2. I then sent them feedback on their website contact form on Aug 3 stating what follows. Crickets. The request number was 10959. My vehicle would not start. I was given a loose estimate of an hour or so before I would receive a callback from a tow service. After an an hour and forty five minutes I called back asking what the status was. The customer service person called AAA dispatching team while I waited. They said there were no tow trucks available. When I asked for some estimate, I was told dispatching would call me in a few minutes. (Because a software upgrade made it impossible for the person I was talking to do give me an estimate) Ninety minutes later. crickets. I had to walk home given I didn't have transportation. What would I have had to do if I was hours away from home? I finally received a call from a tow company three and one half hours after I placed my call. I was home and had no way to get to my broken down vehicle so I cancelled the request and took care of it the next day without the help of AAA. This was a day and time of day traffic was light. What’s their service in emergency weather? A week?

Negative experience: Years of declining service with promises never met. The last straw, recently the AAA tech John took my battery still under warranty, would not leave me my property that was legally mine with core charge, it was escalated and the management or supervisor who handled the situation made it worse as Bob belligerently and never followed through on what he promised, hassled the dealership who was dealing with car, and never got back to me as AAA said he would on the BBB complaint I filed. From start to finish it was abysmal service. The tow truck driver was great. I’ve been a member over 20 years, will not review as the last two years service has suffered greatly.
Negative experience: Nah! Don’t waste your money. Years ago this used to be a top notch service. I’ve been a member for 32 years and the last three times I called they never came out. I called today and was told to expect someone within two hours. I called back for an ETA after two hours and apparently no roadside call was ever placed on my behalf. So I have to wait another ten minutes just trying to get to someone who can once again determine if they want to send someone out? The best part is that if they send the battery test person out and they say it’s not your battery, you get to call back to start all over again and request a tow!! Complete joke! Yes, I’m canceling and no I do not recommend this service to anyone.

Fantastic experience: AAA offered, and I completed, a driving course for seniors. I was attracted by a State of Ohio requirement that auto insurers give a discount on rates to those who complete the 2-day course. The instructor, Kelli O'Riordan, was thorough, respectful, and fun as she updated all of us experienced drivers on changes in the law, road signage and markings. I was surprised how much I learned- such as how to quickly calculate a safe stopping distance while driving. We reviewed compelling data about the most common situations that put older drivers most at risk of an accident, and how to avoid them. I considered myself a pretty good driver. Not as good as I thought, but much better now. It was well worth my investment of 10 hours.

Negative experience: I needed roadside assistance, and telephoned AAA. A recording stated that I could receive a text message with a link to submit an automated request for roadside assistance. I requested the text link for accessing the automated. system. .No text arrived. I waited five minutes called again, and requested the text message with the link. The text message did not arrive. Then I attempted to make a request by telephone for roadside assistance. No one picked up my call. I made another request for access to the automated system. Nothing. I called again and after a long wait finally got a human being to submit my request for roadside assistance. I know that my mobile phone was receiving text messages because I was able to receive and send other messages. In addition, I received a text message from AAA when the truck was on the way to help me. There was a long delay, and it turns out I was lucky enough to find someone who could start my car for me. I canceled the request for emergency *** THREE MONTHS LATER, I was traveling out of town and again had an emergency and needed roadside assistance. I called the emergency number and was again told to press one to request a text message with a link to access the automated system. I requested the text message, but it never arrived. After waiting 10 minutes, I called again, and again requested to receive a text message with the link for accessing the system to request roadside assistance. The text message never arrived! After waiting another 10 minutes, I was able to reach a human being at AAA and place my request for roadside assistance. SO, THE AUTOMATED STSTEM IS WHOLLY NONFUNCTIONAL!! I called back to make a complaint, and I was informed that Ohio AAA has been bought by a company called 212. Management has received many complaints FOR MONTHS that the automatic system is not working!! THEY ARE GIVING FALSE PROMISES. They know that the automated system is not functioning at all for millions of customers! They told me that, following the takeover, they know that there are massive problems with service in Ohio. This is unacceptable. I am a single woman who depends on AAA when traveling. This is a breach of contract.
Negative experience: Horrible! First driver never showed up or called, but he "completed" the tow through the app. Dispatch said they were sending another tow truck... never showed. Called dispatch again and they notified me a second driver was never sent out, so they sent out another driver. This guy showed up, but took over 10 attempts (on and off flatbed) to get my truck onto the flatbed bc he never lined his truck up properly to load mine. It's a constant headache to use this service, all for 3 free miles! Not worth the cost of a yearly membership! Will not be renewing membership!

Negative experience: After being hung up on by representative George; and team lead Brian refusing to get on the phone to answer questions I wouldn’t recommend AAA to anyone. George wouldn’t start my membership because he didn’t like me I guess. And Brian refused to take the call to allow me to make an informed decision. Keisha was the only representative that listened to my grievances and attempted to help. It is unfortunate that I cancelled my membership in the past because of representatives such as George and Brian; it’s sad that after 5 years of being away they still haven’t corrected the poor customer service issue. Representatives like Keisha who listen and help even when giving bad news are under appreciated. How Brian became a team lead is beyond me. I don’t believe Brian and George’s behavior are isolated incidents, I believe how they treated me today is their true character; which makes me worry for other customers. If considering AAA DON’T!!! You will be better off paying for Roadside Assistance directly through your insurance company, I guarantee it will be less stress than dealing with AAA and all their rules. Plus most insurance companies offered the same discounts for hotels, rentals, etc that AAA offers. Just say no to AAA.

Negative experience: If I could leave a1000 negative start review, I would. Imagine trying to get in touch with someone at the Worthington, Ohio off to file a complaint and you can never get the receptionist or a return call after leaving several messages. Mr. JJ Hassler (sp) you are a horrible representation of how AAA values loyal customers. The 800# is a joke, the CSRs give you the runaround and the management could care less that members are left stranded.
Negative experience: TERRIBLE. I have been here waiting since 9am. It’s now 5:20pm. I’m EXHAUSTED. You ripped off my bank account, gave me ZERO service, and left me STRANDED all whilst draining my bank account of more than $600!!! I will NEVER use AAA ever again.
Fantastic experience: A good friend of mine recommended that I call Mike Kelly at the AAA Worthington office. I am very glad he did! I went in and saw Mike last week and he switched over both my home and auto insurance while saving me a lot of money! Mike was great to work with and I highly recommend him!

Positive experience: The female employee at your Wilson Bridge Rd, Worthington, OH was very nice and helped me find the maps of Las Vegas that we wanted. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed to find that the city guides are no longer being printed. If you want to look at an AAA city guide, you can either read it online or print it out at your own cost. AAA memberships are not cheap, and we haven't used ours for print materials or auto towing, etc. for more years than we've used actually used the membership. So AAA has done quite well financially from our annual membership payments. While the membership offers some peace of mind, we feel that for the cost of the membership, we really shouldn't be told to print city guides on our own dime.

Positive experience: We requested information, including a TripTik and Tour Books for an upcoming trip. We were told that the information would be available later that day. We waited for two days, prior to going to the office to find that the materials were not yet ready, due to a printer that had been broken, and that we needed to wait. While that was not a major inconvenience, we were then told that AAA didn't make Tour Books any longer and that we needed to print stuff out after going on line. Maria was as helpful as she could be with the materials she had available and was very pleasant to deal with. I wish she had informed me of the lack of Tour Books and we possibly wouldn't have asked for any information. She did print out the names of two pet friendly hotels along our route for us to stay, which was very helpful...but that information would have been available in the previously printed Tour Books. Not sure that we will continue our membership in future years.

Negative experience: We've been a member for many years and have even purchased memberships for our family members. Check with your insurer instead for road side assistance. Driver left an 8 month pregnant woman along the side of the road stating company polices that are not a part of our membership terms and service agreements. Waited for over an hour along side a busy road only to have the driver pull up, walk around the vehicle and refuse service based on an expired tag. Stating that they have a company policy that all vehicles must have valid registration sticker to be towed?? This is not a part of the membership terms and conditions that are stated on the the website and is not told to you when you purchase membership. If fact, in calling back and speaking with a manager, I was told that there are no terms to memberships and that "AAA does not even have you sign anything, that this is a company policy now and if I wanted to leave a negative review online that I could" I have left message for the corporate manager and no one has returned call. After the driver left, we had to pay an additional $144 for another tow company to come and take care of towing the vehicle without issue.

Negative experience: Lots of people, friends and acquaintances including police and highway patrol officers have said that AAA has gone downhill. I didn’t really believe them until I experienced the most incompetent and worst customer service treatment recently. This kind of complete AAA Cluster F@#$ has happen three times now, the first couple times I gave AAA a pass but not anymore! I incurred a double tire blow out from hitting an object on one of the busiest Interstate Highways in the area. I called AAA at 10AM for a tow and I was told it would be about 3 hours, I called back around 1PM and then I was then told it would be about another 2 to 2.5 more hours! Called back again a couple hours later and they said it would be another 2 hours! ALL BS! This is completely unacceptable; I was stranded in in 95 degree weather during a heat wave with no air conditioning (serpentine belt also snapped from hitting the object). I insisted and strongly demanded a tow off the highway! To my disbelief, I was put on extended hold and then hung-up on! I just kept calling back AAA for emergency assistance as much as I could. Finally I received a call back about 30 minutes later from last desperate call I made to AAA which to my dismay, I was told in despite it will now be sometime the following morning before they can tow my car from the side of the Highway! I immediately called a private towing company, my family Attorney and as directed the Highway Patrol, and my Doctor. I was told lie after lie from AAA insolent customer services just to placate me, telling me things like some towing companies cannot drive on freeways and they cannot dispatch a towing company at this time due to COVID as I watched a half dozen tow trucks drive by on the highway while waiting on AAA! Due to bureaucracy this AAA Company has gone from AAA to XXX! I will not be renewing or using AAA Roadside NON-Assistance from this AWFUL and very antediluvian company! I will do my best to tell everyone I know to cancel all services (if you can actual call it a SERVICE!) from AAA via Better Business Bureau, Online Reviews, Social Media, News Outlets, Advertising, Word of Mouth, etc… and all other influences I’m privy to. There are numerous other legitimate roadside assistance companies available today that are so much better than this antiquated, dysfunctional, and highly impaired AAA Company! Good bye and good riddance!

Tabitha found the exact flights on the exact dates we needed. Furthermore Tabitha was good enough to explain that the $30 fee per ticket could be waved if I upgraded my membership to the Premium membership. So I upgraded our membership and saved money. Negative experience: I’ve had a AAA membership since I was in high school. I let it lapse and finally just renewed a membership for my household. We really wish we hadn’t. We are frustrated, and, when we called for roadside assistance, we’re made to feel like we were being unreasonable for requesting a service currently advertised on the AAA Ohio website. On AAA Ohio website right now, it says “with AAA’s tire service and repair program we’ll quickly safely...fix your flat in just a few minutes...if AAA performed an emergency repair on your vehicle’s tire, we recommend that for your own safety, you have the tire inspected at a AAA approved facility. He said that this is not what your website advertises right now. The repair should be free. The person on the phone said that they do not do this. She acted like she didn’t know what website we were looking at. I don’t know what to do when you call for help and are refused the service stated to be included in a membership. Very disappointing.

Negative experience: Most expensive club membership in Ohio. Other AAA clubs in Ohio are much more affordable. No extra services tied to the membership either, it just costs more. What’s up with that? Also they treat their employees as a number not a person.

He tested the battery and wanted make sure it needed replaced and also that it was actually the battery and not something else. Replaced the battery quickly and was on his way. I appreciated that he was wearing a mask.

Negative experience: I had the worst experience of my life today using AAA's towing. My fiance and I were on the way to breakfast when we got a flat. We called and they said 20 minutes at about 815 in the morning we needed a tow because of a flat. At 835 I got a call saying he was dropping a car and would be there in 10 minutes. At 906 I called back and asked where he was my fiance had to get to work they said 10 more minutes he was at Trabue and 33. I asked if i could have her card and "stand in for her" that is not their policy and no. I reiterated she had to get to work and they were very late at this point. Had we known we would have left the car walked the 200ft home and got in hers. They had zero empathy and would not make an exception. At 930 I called back and asked to escalate to a supervisor. I was given the same story with zero empathy. 9:45 Truck driver shows up wondering whats up because he got dispatched from across town and got a bunch of calls asking how much longer. So either we were lied to or they had to dispatch a second driver because the original...getting another task. Which they never told us. Almost 2 hours of waiting for a original 20 minute estimate, ZERO empathy, ZERO understanding. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. CANCELING IMMEDIATELY and suggesting all family do the same and just get the towing on their insurance. It may be the same tow companies in the end but my issue was 100% with the AWFUL communication, total lack of empathy, and lack of acknowledgement of their total failure. I gave them 2 stars because for years they had been amazing on every call. Efficient and responsive. If there was something that happened out of their control they could have spoken up instead of trying to cover up. They also could have indicated a little understanding when they are this late make some room for the client.

Fantastic experience: I've been AAA member for 39+ years. I decided to take advantage of the discounts I can get when buying insurance. Mike Kelly is AWESOME! My old auto ins company is allowed to age discriminate for drivers over a certain age regardless of a very clean record, so they increased my premium to an unreasonable cost. I got the same coverage thru AAA/Grange via Mike Kelly...nice! I recently downsized from my house of 48+ years to a condo, and Mike was able to give me a good rate on that as well. He answered all of my questions, and I couldn't have gotten better service anywhere else. If you are a AAA member, take advantage of the services they offer; you won't be disappointed.

Positive experience: The woman who helped us was very nice, but she misrepresented the debit card she convinced us to get. We couldn't use it to get money to gamble with in Vegas unless we used it in a high-fee ATM. We told her we wanted to use the card at the casino's cashier cage.

It took 10 minutes just to figure out how to print a receipt. Person was slouched in the chair laid back. Maybe they need a course on customer service.

Fantastic experience: Excellent customer service! Tried to book a cruise online, but was difficult for what I wanted. Brian B. worked diligently on the phone and got me the 5-day cruise I wanted with the best rate. Then he looked at airline rates for me and my family, and it looked like it was going to cost more than the cruise! After more calls and searching online, he discovered that using 2 one-way flights with different carriers and waiting one day to fly home, would save me a bunch and get me a time slot I wanted.

Negative experience: I leave 2 stars only because he was fast but when he got here to fix my flat tire and put air in it he didn't ask me any questions he barely even spoke and when I asked him how long do you think the air will go flat in my tire again he told me up to eight hours it has only been a half of an hour and the tire is already flat again I'm not trying to say he should have all the answers but had I had known it will go flat at a snap of a finger I would've rushed my ass to the nearest firestone. Thanks for nothing.
